01:14He said it's very difficult to do that on this track, but he's making it happen right now, and it's
01:20championship time, we're getting into the last part of the series, and there are no more mulligans left.
01:27Pretty slick move from Jorge Prado to get himself up to third ahead of Malcolm Stewart and Justin Cooper, so
01:33a couple of nice moves there on this opening lap.
01:37Right here, this is going to come down to the wire, it's going to be a dogfight between these two
01:42guys, and it's no coincidence, that one point only separates these two gentlemen right now, when it comes time, when
01:50the bills are, it is time to pay those bills, these two the last several weeks have found each other.
01:55Yep, they sure have, and good story, and good story time too, like for Hunter Lawrence getting his first career
02:04450 main win, there is Ken Rockson, recovering from that crash, that really scary crash, in race two, he's ahead
02:11of Malcolm Stewart, here's Cooper Webb, nice switch back there to get by the Husqvarna rider.
02:16Incredible pass by the two, three time, supercross champ, Cooper Webb, doing that same line that Eli Tomac was working,
02:26in race number two.
02:30Just for interest sake, have a look at the bottom left of your screen, points as they run, Lawrence and
02:36Tomac tied.
02:37Yeah, Lawrence would get, get it on the tiebreaker, if he's able to, wow.
02:43Look at this, nice move, Roxen, slick.
02:46I don't think Jacob saw that coming, but yeah, I mean, Hunter would get it on the tiebreaker, because if
02:52he's able to beat Eli, but a lot of racing left here.
02:55Tell you what, Roxen has the eyes on, he's disposed of those last two, now he's working on Prado, different
03:03line, but he's feeling it.
03:05What a shame about that second race.
03:07Yeah, that one obviously is going to hurt his chances, as he has been riding incredibly well here.
03:14You go back to that race win that he had, I believe, back in 2023, how special it was on
03:21that Suzuki.

03:26Does he cut back underneath? No, Prado's too smart. He's going to guard on that, no surprise.
03:32I think this is good for Jorge to come back, to have these three races under his belt, recovering from
03:38that injury, then he gets a weekend off.
03:40So it can help with that whole recovery process, and rehab process, and have the confidence to know that he's
03:47made great starts here tonight, he's had some good races, and he's hung in there.

03:54He really wanted to come back for Daytona, and talking to him early, he was genuinely upset that he didn't
04:00make it back for that race, because he sees it as something that would be a good strength for him,
04:04being an MXGP rider from Europe, rode essentially motocross for most of his career, as Ken Rutson gets the pass
04:12down on him there, too.
04:13But he said, if he wasn't going to make it back to Daytona, I really want to make it back
04:18to India, and he cited the conditions here, too.
04:21These ruts, the conditions, all stuff that perhaps his skill set from MXGP lends itself to Jorge.
04:29He's doing a great job right now.
04:32Oh, look at Cooper Webb trying to make the move on his teammate.
04:37Side by side, Webb on the outside, Justin Cooper, handlebar to handlebar.
04:49Man, his teammate racing him hard.
04:51No team tactics going on right here.
04:54Now he works on Prado.
04:57Roxen's just disappeared.
04:59He's taken off.

05:05Jorge Prado is really trying to make sure these guys don't get by.
05:10And there's been a little chatter, track chatter about it, and there's going to be some frustration there.
05:16But, hey, you know what?
05:18He's out there trying to do the best he can, just like the rest of the guys.
05:22A lap later, Cooper Webb tries the same move on Justin Cooper.
05:26At the moment, same result.
05:27So now he switches lines, switches back to the inside.
05:31This time it works for Cooper Webb.
05:34Yeah, great pass.
05:35Sticking with it, keeping that intensity.
05:44How about Jordan Smith?
05:45Back there in eighth.
05:47He got a great start, and he's been there pretty much all race long thus far, the Triumph Pilots.
05:54So that's good stuff.
05:54He's ahead of McElrath and Justin Hill and Christian Craig.
05:58I mean, this is just absolutely incredible here when I watch these two guys.
06:02And, again, I'm like, well, you know, Kenny and Cooper definitely mathematically are still there.
06:09But I just feel like these two riders are in the driver's seat, and they have established themselves as the
06:16top guys.
06:18And it was going to take something from Cooper Webb and Ken Rockson to really get that point scat below
06:2620 points.
06:28Because each race that passes from now on is just going to be like you're going to be in a
06:34desperate situation almost, and you're going to need some help.
06:37And it's going to be hard.
06:39And when you start getting that position, it's difficult, especially when Eli and Cooper are riding at such a high
06:46level.
06:47Eli and Hunter are riding at such a high level, yeah.
06:52The Bonstra Energy Star Yamaha riders dispose of Jorge Prado.
06:55We're over the halfway mark, quick reminder to stock up on Monster Energy drinks.

07:01This is what 1.1 seconds looks like.
07:04And there's five and a half minutes plus a lap left on the clock.
07:07I feel like Eli has lost a little bit of his advantage that he had on Hunter now that the
07:14woods have become complete jumpers.
07:16I feel like Eli is fast everywhere, and I'm sure there's a couple other sectors on the track that he
07:21might be a little bit quicker than Hunter.
07:24But still, that advantage that he had there has kind of gone away.
07:28Teammates here fighting it out over fourth place.
07:33Going back to the first Triple Crown of the year, Hunter Lawrence lost the overall by one point.
07:42Don't think for a second that that hasn't been a driving, motivating force here tonight.
07:48And I think the biggest thing with these two guys being so close, and with still a fair amount of
07:54the riders still in the field,
07:56I personally believe and put my championship hat on, it's going to be the guy who is able to be
08:02the most consistent
08:03and not cough up that sixth place or eighth place finish.
08:07And really, the reason that Hunter is outside of how great he's riding, has the points lead,
08:12is because his worst finish has been fourth.
08:15And that's not the case for anyone else on the field right now.
08:19And now, oh no, Joey Sovaci, this amazing run has come to an end.
08:27Guy who's had two top five finishes this year.
08:31He's in need of some attention from the Alpine Stars medical team.
08:35This guy has got Eli Tomac right here on the ropes, and he's going to need some help from these
08:41lappers.
08:42Hopefully, they will adhere to the blue flag.
08:45There's a race for the lead, and you're not in it.

08:51If he is able to get through these two guys right now,
08:54he is going to have a very nice gap that I think he can maintain to the checkered flag.

09:03have been a storyline all night, but just thinking big picture for a minute.
09:07We've seen Hunter Lawrence be the second place guy, that bridesmaid position, if you will,
09:12so many times in his career.
09:15And, Ricky, these championships are simply too difficult.
09:18You have to go take it.
09:20And I just wonder if that's what we're seeing.
09:22We've seen him now.
09:23He got that win in Arlington, and now he is taking this race by the reins.
09:28Are we seeing Hunter Lawrence become the guy that is not the bridesmaid anymore?
09:32He's finally going to step up to be that championship guy.

09:38And you think about the only place that he really needed to improve and put the emphasis
09:43on is early race intensity.
09:46And if you take a snapshot from what the first three races looked like to where we have been
09:51in the last four races, he is a completely different guy, and he has the composure.

09:58Hey, if he doesn't have the red plate, it doesn't change his riding.
10:01He is so strong psychologically.

10:04And look, these guys are still going at it.
10:07The star Yamaha teammates, Cooper Webb and Justin Cooper.
10:14Confidence has skyrocketed with Jay Coop after that first career win in race two.
10:21There's two minutes 20 left on the clock, plus a lap, and this is going to continue this fight.
10:26But Roxen's nicely positioned in third.
10:29He's kind of in his own little space there.
10:31It cleared out from these guys.
10:33And then Jorge Prado will get three sixth places in this Triple Crown event.
10:38If he stays where he is over the closing couple of minutes,
10:41it'll be a welcomed eighth place for Jordan Smith in just his third race back.
10:51He finished 19, 17, and he's going to get an eighth and a Triple Crown.
10:58That's awesome.
10:59Yeah, I mean, and again, these races are action-packed.
11:03And you listen to the riders, and they tell you how hard it is.
11:05There's more laps and just brutal.
11:07So to be able to do that, a lot like his teammate in a 250 division, Jalik Swole,
11:12having a great ride, that's a boost in the arm for that race team,
11:16and they sure needed it.
11:20And you look at the leaderboard on the top left of your screen,
11:24and just look at the time that Hunter Lawrence and Tomac have pulled out
11:30on Ken Roxen and Cooper Webb, the guys who third and fourth in points.
11:34And that's what we've been talking about really all race long.
11:38And what we have seen the last three weeks, these guys are just,
11:41it seems like they've been able to find another gear.

12:16They've been able to find themselves once again.
12:18Well, that's right.
12:18They find a way.
12:20They know what is at stake.
12:21All these guys know what at stake.
12:23But, man, with that point scat, they had a 20-point lead over Roxen and Webb.
12:31And they just know it's time.
12:34And it's so fun to watch these guys.
12:37And it's really which guy can be the best and which guy can execute.
12:42And, again, not cough up that ball and be picture perfect.
12:46And this is the final lap.
12:47And this guy has done a great job.
12:49And he's put Eli in a position.
12:52I really, I truly believe that.
12:55Look, we touched on this last week.
12:58Yeah.
12:58And the Lawrence family is an extremely tight-knit family.
13:04And when you want to take on the Lawrences, you don't just take on one.
13:07You take on them all.
13:09And with Jett being absent through injury, it was big brother Hunter's time to step up
13:15and enjoy his time in the spotlight where he's answered endless questions about his little brother,
13:21which he answered with such maturity and grace, saying,
13:24if I'm not being the right big brother, I'm not helping my little brother.
13:28Well, it's not about Jett now.
13:30This is Hunter Lawrence's time.
13:32A win for the second time this season.
13:36He gets the overall and will keep that red plate.
13:41Hunter Lawrence goes to the brakes, the championship leader.
13:46Adding three points to that championship lead.
13:48And look at this.

13:52Love to see it.
13:54Hard workers.
13:57What an incredible win.
13:59Again, like his first win he got in the 450 pass of quality,
14:03and this was a quality run.
14:05Eli had all the opportunities to challenge him for the win,
14:09and he tried and wasn't a – this comes up a little short.
14:12A lot of racing left, but, man.
14:14And he has – he has won two of the last three races overall.
14:22He may have had five second places, but this win – this winning stuff sure feels good.
