00:00I think he's doing a little bit more than just stopping and smelling the flowers.
00:03Here's your look at New Jack's Specific, the Super Mario Galaxy movie, Wonder Bowser Jr.
00:19Collect your favorite characters in the Super Mario Galaxy movie 5-inch figure series.
00:24The Wonder Bowser Jr. figure is inspired by the movie and comes with premium details including 17 points of articulation.
00:29Wonder Bowser Jr. comes with his paintbrush accessory, all showcased in a window box.
00:34Gad! Or is it Professor E. Gad?
00:36Either way, though, we're getting a new Wonder Bowser Jr. figure from the new Super Mario Galaxy movie.
00:40Not sure, though, if this is the result of Wonder Flower or if it has more to do with the
00:44paintbrush that he's carrying around with him.
00:46Either way, though, he's a bigger Bowser Jr. than the previous one we looked at before.
00:50We're going to grab the tape measure. We're going to get things going.
00:52I'm going to get things going by taking it right to the very top of his rather now fiery-looking
00:56hair.
00:56Wonder Bowser Jr. is going to stand at six and three-quarters of an inch in height.
01:01He is.
01:02You don't believe me?
01:03It's right there.
01:04That's going to translate, though, to a figure that's 16 centimeters tall.
01:08Now, he is big, but maybe not as big in the body.
01:11In fact, it looks like the only thing that's really bigger about Bowser Jr. is perhaps maybe his head and
01:16also his ego as well.
01:18Here's also what the figure looks like with his dad.
01:20I'm sure he will be resulting in breaking out Bowser, and I can't imagine Bowser's going to be happy with
01:24the idea that he's been shrunk down in size for so long.
01:28Let's bring in, of course, the other Mario characters we've also looked at all from this wave.
01:31Started things, though, first with Mario.
01:33Then we followed things with his brother, Luigi.
01:35Then we looked at Rosalina.
01:38And then we also looked at Yoshi.
01:40And, of course, back in the back there, right next to, of course, his wonder self, we also looked at
01:44Bowser Jr. too.
01:45Speaking of Professor E. Gadd, he happens to include the very same paintbrush that the original Bowser Jr. had from
01:50before.
01:51Here's Wonder Bowser Jr.'s paintbrush.
01:53Here's regular Bowser Jr.'s paintbrush.
01:55They seem to be exactly the same.
01:57I can't think, though, that looking at one, comparing it with the other, that I don't even think, like, the
02:01paint job has varied at all either.
02:03They even have, in fact, Bowser Jr.'s face there.
02:06Ugly mug, or at least a symbol of that, on both sides of the paintbrush.
02:10The paintbrush still has that thing, though, where you can remove the end of it.
02:13And it almost does look like it's got an eyedropper on the end, like you'd be administering medicine.
02:18Not sure why that is the case.
02:20If you lift it up, though, just a little bit, it gives you a little bit of possibility.
02:24Other than that, though, I can't really think of why they would have had that be something separate.
02:28Because the original Bowser Jr. also had that same thing with his paintbrush.
02:32He has also the same problem holding the paintbrush.
02:35Being the fact that the figure does have hingeable, single-hand clapping.
02:39It's a Simpsons episode.
02:41Being that he has a single hinge, allowing the four fingers to close and open.
02:45Does mean, though, that the figure has some harder times to hold the paintbrush.
02:49You kind of have to get it in there, but, I mean, again, like, it's so top-heavy.
02:53You either have to use it more as a walking stick, or you can, I suppose, as well, bring the
02:57arms around.
02:59He does have an elbow bend, after all.
03:01And just get the paintbrush going there in his hand here.
03:05So you can actually hold it more kind of like a spear.
03:08Probably will end up displaying the figure just the way that you're seeing him right now.
03:12Again, I don't know if necessarily I would say the figure really needed to have single-hand clapping hingeability on
03:17the hands.
03:19I think the figure could have been fine, really, just with a gripping hand instead.
03:23Let's put the paintbrush to the side and get, though, a closer look at Bowser Jr.
03:27He certainly has a lot more weight going for him than the previous Bowser Jr.
03:32And, again, I think a lot of it literally has gone to his head.
03:35He certainly has a much bigger head than the original Bowser Jr.
03:38But I don't think, really, the bodies are all that much different from one another.
03:41There is some additional scaling.
03:44That wasn't really the case on the original Bowser Jr.
03:46The shell also does look like it's got some additional spikage that the previous shell never had before.
03:52And he's now dismissed having a bib on the front of his body in favor of a bandana that goes
03:57across the front of his face.
03:59Now, he is known for also chomping away.
04:01We don't really get that effect here.
04:03It's kind of more like just graffitied across the front of his mask.
04:06So, again, it makes me wonder if it's less really to do with the Wonder Flower and more to do
04:10with the paintbrush that he has in the movie.
04:11I'm sure, though, they could probably have just retconned that in.
04:14But that probably makes a little bit more sense doing it that way.
04:17Now, again, like the way that he looks right now, he first sort of debuted this look in the Super
04:21Mario Bros. Wonder game way back like three years ago.
04:24I remember having that game.
04:26Actually, I beat that game with my daughter.
04:28She's very good when it comes to Mario games.
04:29So I'm really quite familiar, though, with Wonder Bowser Jr.
04:32I really like the look and the coloring of him.
04:34I like that they've given kind of more of a shinier purple paint to his body.
04:38My guess, probably, they haven't painted this.
04:40This is probably more cast in this purple plastic.
04:43Of course, he's got the different color there for his tummy as well.
04:46One of my favorite things, though, about Wonder Bowser Jr.
04:48is the way they've given him his fiery eyebrows and hair.
04:52Whereas, though, the original Wonder Bowser Jr. couldn't do what it's doing right now, or the original Bowser Jr.
04:56The Wonder Bowser Jr., on the other hand, does actually have a ball peg.
05:00It plugs just to the top like this so you can swing it back and forth.
05:03So there's a little bit of posability up and down as well.
05:05I love, though, that this is using a translucent kind of aquamarine blue that they've done here for the eyebrows,
05:12that they've done as well for the back of his ponytail.
05:14It really adds to a menacing look to the character.
05:17Articulation for them is about really the same as the original Bowser.
05:21There's not really much that they have really changed.
05:23So while this guy had 17 points of articulation, this guy as well does also have the same 17.
05:30This bandana, by the way, can't be lifted and lowered.
05:32Although, if you look underneath it, it does kind of really look like...
05:36It does really kind of look like, doesn't it, that you'd be able to lift it up.
05:38But underneath, though, you could see that there is perhaps a working face.
05:42But it does look like, in fact, that they've glued it on there.
05:45So I wouldn't really recommend trying to pry this down.
05:48I think, if anything, you're only going to break it.
05:50See, I keep now wanting to do this.
05:52I keep telling myself, stop it.
05:54Stop it!
05:55You're only going to just break it.
05:56So I don't think there really is a sculpted face underneath.
05:59There very well might be.
06:00But I think you're only just going to be damaging the face if you're trying to take this bandana off
06:04of him.
06:05Yeah, for the articulation on Wonder Bowser Jr., we're going to start things off with that head.
06:09And it does have quite a bit of posability to it, too.
06:12Because there is so much gap space between underneath the bandana and the rest of his body,
06:16you can do what it's doing right now.
06:19Quite a bit of range.
06:20You can also rock the head back and forth.
06:22Not just really much.
06:22Not much, though.
06:23But you can also rotate the head.
06:26All the way around, as well.
06:28Just make sure you don't bang the hair.
06:29Even if you just pop off the hair, though, as you can see, it's just a peg.
06:33And it just plugs perfectly back in place.
06:35Arms do rotate all the way around there, as well.
06:37You can bring the arms out at T-posing.
06:40That would be, of course, a 90-degree angle bend.
06:42The figure does have, like before, a swivel in his forearm that does also give him a hinge.
06:47So you can bend the elbow, as well.
06:48Hands rotate all the way around.
06:50There's a hinge on those, too.
06:52And the three fingers, not four, like Mario and Luigi, do have a hinge.
06:56Now, the hinge works only just to bend the four fingers together, the three fingers together,
07:00instead of independently hinging them.
07:03But again, I don't really feel like, especially with Bowser Jr., any character that really has
07:06to hold something, I don't think I would have really given him a hinge.
07:10Now, I guess that could also be the same rule of hand when it comes to Mario and Luigi,
07:13but Mario and Luigi didn't really come included with any other accessories than the Lumas.
07:18Legs go forward and back.
07:19You can also split the legs.
07:21I'm sure that's quite painful, though, for him.
07:23You can split the legs, though, for Wonder Bowser Jr.
07:25You can take them and move them forward and move them back.
07:28He has a hinge in his knee.
07:30He also has hingeability with an ankle pivot back and forth.
07:33You can also rotate the leg all the way around.
07:35And there almost does seem like there's a hinge or some sort of rotational point on the
07:41back of the point of his tail, but there doesn't seem to be a way that you can actually move
07:44it around.
07:45But I really do, really do like the look of Wonder Bowser Jr.
07:48How, in fact, is he going to get this look in the movie, whether it is just going to be
07:52Professor E. Gadd's paintbrush that's going to be doing all of it, because it certainly
07:56does give him somewhat of a graffiti look.
07:58Generally, though, if this look of the character you approach him, it's usually the result of
08:02Super Mario Wonder, and it's because he gets himself a Wonder Flower.
08:05But I don't know, again, if they're going to be doing that for the Super Mario Galaxy
08:08movie.
08:08What I do know, though, is I love the look of Wonder Bowser Jr.
08:11He pops in color.
08:14He looks very much something similar to you expect to see with like a Bowser, for example,
08:17or like a Jokerized Bowser Jr.
08:21He's also about the same size, give or take, as Yoshi.
08:24So he's one of the more bigger sized figures.
08:26Certainly, though, is bigger when it comes to, again, comparing him with Mario and Luigi.
08:30And even really for that matter, too, Rosalina.
08:33That's all the first wave.
08:34We've done it.
08:35That's all the first wave of the Super Mario Galaxy figures.
08:37Of course, there's also stuff that Jax has planned, huge displayers of them in retail
08:42stores here in Canada, though.
08:44I don't think we've come across anything just yet when it comes to any pop-up profit
08:48panels.
08:49I think that that's what they're called in retail.
08:50When, again, you have all the new merchandise, all the new toys tied into movies.
08:54I don't think we have anything like that just yet here in Canada.
08:57But they're certainly now starting to show up in places like the U.S.
09:00So I did go back and re-watch that trailer again of Super Mario Galaxy, where we get,
09:05again, the only fleeting few seconds that show Wonder Bowser Jr.
09:08It does, in fact, look like the paintbrush is responsible for giving him that symbiotic
09:12skin.
09:13Which, you know, again, looking at the paintbrush and the fact that the tips do remove on both
09:17his and Bowser Jr.
09:19Makes me think, though, that Jax probably had bigger plans for the paintbrush than what
09:22we actually got in packaging.
09:24If the tip was removable, why would they have not then included the black tip?
09:29Because, again, it's sort of more like a black goo that takes over Bowser Jr.'s body.
09:33Or, even in the trailer, too, we also see it kind of becomes a mace on the end of that.
09:38Swappable tips to the ends of the paintbrush, I think, probably was an idea that Jax had in
09:43mind, but likely then was scrapped, because that would be the only reason why we got the
09:47exact same two paintbrushes with the same two Bowsers.
09:51But what do you guys, though, think of Wonder Bowser Jr.?
09:53Let me know down below in the comments section.
09:54He certainly will be making a rather colorful-looking appearance in the new Super Mario Brothers
09:59Galaxy movie.
10:00In fact, Super Mario Galaxy movie is quite probably more of a colorful movie than the original
10:05one that came out a few years back.
10:06What do you guys think of Wonder Bowser Jr.?
10:08Let me know down below in the comments section.
10:10Do you guys also think, too, like, I mean, we're probably going to be getting
10:13out quite an exciting Super Mario Galaxy movie.
10:16How excited are you for the new Super Mario Brothers Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy movie?
10:20Let me know that down below in the comments section.
10:23In the meantime, though, if you guys did enjoy this video, do it a psalm, throw it a like.
10:26You guys want to stick around for more so?
10:28I certainly do hope so.
10:29This might be, though, the end of what we're looking at right now for the Jax Pacific Super
10:33Mario Galaxy movie figures, but there will be more content coming your way.
10:37So I hope you guys are going to be coming back for that.
10:39As always, guys, thanks for watching.
10:41See you guys next time.
10:46I'll see you next time.
10:51You
