Police are intensifying monitoring of United States and European interests and assets in Malaysia, as well as houses of worship that could potentially be targeted by certain groups, amid tensions in West Asia.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said all state police chiefs and department directors have been instructed to enhance patrols and deployments at such locations, including borders and other key sites, following the latest geopolitical developments involving Iran.
