00:31You guys are legends.
00:33So first look at this guy, he's the same person in one of the early neon teasers
00:37I'm honestly finding it difficult to believe he's a computer generated character
00:41Look at the details in his hair, skin and clothes
00:44Okay, maybe the videos are generated
00:46But these pictures and the people upon whom the characters are based, or at least some of them, are real.
00:50Cuz listen to this Star News reporter.
00:55Alright so Chelsea Militano.
00:57Now let's track her down.
00:59Umm yep.
01:00That's the same lady and this is also her real voice.
01:03But I don't think these videos are just people being filmed by cameras.
01:06That wouldn't make any sense.
01:08Cuz what would this have to do with artificial humans, right?
01:10حتى أمو الأفرادية من المكان الأنين يمكن أن تحسنها terنافقات جلسي
01:14محلوها لمحلها كما أن يمتعوا ف receives and expressions and movements
CEO of Star Labs and inventor of Neon
01:43he retweeted Shekhar Kapoor , a film director who said
01:46''finally artificial intelligence that will make you wonder which one of you is real''
01:51which means they both believe the end result looks very realistic and convincing
01:54Pranav quotes Descartes
01:56''I think therefore I am''
01:58which hints that Neon could be smart enough to act like a human
02:01E for emotions
02:02and if computer generated characters can exhibit this much emotion now
02:05then well freaking done
02:07and then they said Core R3 which is reality, real time and responsive
02:12Core R3 could be the software engine that will generate the graphics and artificial intelligence for Neon
02:17and guess what it was recorded two days ago at the USPTO
02:20which is a United States Patent and Trademark Office
02:23so Core R3 is downloadable software for creating, viewing, editing and developing
02:27computer generated realistic looking virtual characters slash model humans of human beings
02:32for use in movies television etc
02:34you see where this is going
02:36also we have the description of the trademark Neon
02:38and it includes keywords like augmented reality video production
02:42custom computer generated images or graphics
02:44animations simulations and models
02:46now to put things into perspective
02:48i want to show you the difference between graphics based on motion capture
02:52and graphics based on artificial intelligence
02:55this is Siren
02:56she's an artificial human rendered by Unreal Engine 4
02:59but her emotions are based on an actress that's controlling her in real time
03:03which is why she looks full of life
03:04here is another example of motion capture based graphics
03:07the expressions are realistic
03:09now here's a motion captured scene in a video game
03:12the problem is they can't do this for all scenes in the game
03:15because they can't film actors for hundreds of pages of dialogue
03:18so instead they just record the voice over and use AI to generate the emotions
03:23now here's the next scene but this time the emotions are AI based
03:26notice how it doesn't feel so alive anymore
03:29how certain emotions look artificial
03:31and how it sometimes feels dead
03:33Neon is supposed to be about how AI draws human emotions
03:37during the development it will be fed with human emotions
03:40until it becomes smart enough to display the correct emotions
03:43to create realistic renders without the need of motion capture
03:46there are similar projects to Neon that generate artificial humans
03:50with varying levels of realism
03:51and some have very expressive faces with good capacity for human emotions
03:55and if the core R3 is able to beat all of them
03:58and generate photorealistic people with convincing emotions in real time
04:02and be responsive as they call it with this much accuracy in character details
04:07facial expressions body movements and possibly voice tones
04:10then Neon is truly the next big thing that will change everything
04:14it can literally be anything and create anyone
04:17it can be your news reporter your doctor your human development coach
04:20your fitness trainer your flight attendant your personal assistant
04:24your friend or girlfriend
04:25the possibilities are limitless
04:27and they'll be used in movies televisions news reporting and video games
04:31if computers can generate images with such realism
04:34then they'll take the digital world to the next level
04:37and as time passes they'll become even more human and perfect
04:40and the ways you can interact with them will increase
04:42you may be able to put on your AR glasses and see them right in front of you
04:46i'm hyped about the future
04:48and i'm curious to see how the real product compares to these promo videos
04:51because they might have done some polishing in order to come out with this
04:55perfect of a result in graphics that are full of emotions and realism
04:58that really deserve to be called artificial humans
05:01we will learn more in ces only three days left
05:04and i'll keep you updated so consider subscribing with notifications on
05:07leave a like if you enjoyed the video
05:09and tell me your thoughts in the comments
