Four men pleaded not guilty in the George Town Sessions Court on Thursday (March 5) to a charge of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm to a man using a machete last week.

00:10The accused shop assistant, Kishan Gunasigaran, plumber Yoga Yogan Sivasubramaniam, technician Heganeswaran Sarvai Shanmuganathan, and delivery driver Sarvindran Kirishnakumar, entered
00:23their plea before Judge Irwan Swainbon.
00:25The men are accused of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm to 33-year-old Prashanraj Sivasami outside the Hyundai
00:33showroom at Gurney Paragon Mall at around 8 a.m. last Wednesday.
00:38The charge, framed under Section 326 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 120B, carries a maximum sentence of
00:4720 years in prison, and may also include a fine or whipping if convicted.
00:51The court granted bail of 15,000 ringgit, with one surety for each accused.
00:57They were also ordered to report monthly to the nearest police station and not to disturb the victim or witnesses.
01:04The case is scheduled for mention on April 15th for the submission of documents.
