00:15The father gave his son the semi-automatic assault rifle used in the attacks as a Christmas present, despite, as
00:23prosecutors argued, quote, receiving sufficient warning that Colt Gray would harm and endanger the bodily safety of another.
00:31Colin was also found guilty of a slew of other charges connected to students who were injured and survived the
00:36massacre.
00:37His estranged wife testified at the trial that she pleaded with Colin to take away any guns from their son
00:42and lock them up. She was not charged with any crimes.
00:45Colt was 14 at the time of the 2024 shooting. He remains in custody, awaiting trial on 55 criminal counts.
