00:00Serving the people of Montana in the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate the past 13 years
00:05has been the greatest honor of my professional career.
00:09I'm grateful to God for allowing me to serve.
00:12But after much careful thought, I've decided not to seek re-election.
00:17Prior to public service, I spent 28 years in the private sector.
00:22And while I found those years very rewarding,
00:24they didn't compare to the fulfillment I found in public service.
00:28I'm energized, I'm encouraged, and I'm ready for whatever comes next.
00:33I'm also very thankful to have served alongside President Trump and my colleagues in the Senate.
00:39Together, we built a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
00:43We spearheaded Republican control of the U.S. Senate.
00:46We delivered the largest tax cut in U.S. history.
00:50We unleashed American energy dominance and secured our southern border.
00:54We also enacted the bipartisan Great American Outdoors Act,
00:58the most significant conservation achievement in half a century.
01:02And we forged stronger ties with critical allies around the world.
01:08I'm especially indebted to my exceptional staff,
01:12who have worked tirelessly each day to serve Montanans.
01:16Thank you for creating countless raving fans through your efforts.
01:21And finally, I'm most grateful to my sweet wife, Cindy, of 39 years.
01:27For the past 13 years, Cindy has selflessly dropped me off at the airport at 5 a.m. on most
01:33Mondays
01:34for that commute back to D.C.
01:36And together, Cindy and I look forward to the next chapter,
01:40like cherishing moments with seven grandchildren,
01:43spending a bit more time in Montana,
01:45and continuing to make a difference.
