00:00Hollywood legend Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle were found stabbed to death in their Los Angeles
00:05home on Sunday and police believe their son Nick may have done the gruesome deed. Officers from
00:12the Los Angeles Robbery Homicide Division were called to the home Sunday afternoon. Now that's
00:16a unit specifically tasked with high-profile investigations like this one. At a chaotic press
00:23conference outside of the couple's home, the LAPD said a 911 call came in and more than five hours
00:29later, authorities were still working on a search warrant. Now Reiner was a father of four. He'd
00:34adopted actress and director Penny Marshall's daughter when the pair were married in the 70s
00:38and he had three children with wife Michelle. The couple's second son Nick, now under investigation
00:44for this heinous crime, has been public about his battles with drug addiction and homelessness
00:49in the past. Now as of Monday morning, no arrests had been made and he's just been named a person
00:54of interest and not an official suspect. A neighbor told the Post that Seinfeld creator
00:59Larry David and legendary comedian Billy Crystal were both seen practically in tears arriving to
01:04the Reiner's Bretwood mansion following the double murder. Reiner first rose to fame as an actor playing
01:10meathead in the CBS sitcom All in the Family, but his lasting impact was as a director. He directed some of
01:17the most extremely successful and memorable films in modern history, Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally,
01:23A Few Good Men, and The Princess Bride. The Reiner family released a short statement confirming the
01:28tragedy saying in part, we are heartbroken by the sudden loss and we ask for privacy during this
01:34unbelievably difficult time. 24-year-old Benjamin Erickson spent hours Sunday as a person of interest
01:41in the deadly mass shooting on the campus of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
01:45But if you went to bed last night thinking that this case was all but solved, you'd be wrong.
01:51Authorities surprisingly announced late Sunday night that Erickson was released from custody
01:55and that their investigation was headed in another direction. Now investigators had never actually
02:01identified the man, but his identity leaked to multiple media outlets. Now the investigation continues
02:08to find the person responsible for taking two lives and injuring nine others when they burst into a
02:14classroom during a finals review session at the private Ivy League institution.
02:19President Trump has admitted that he's unsure of whether or not Republicans will maintain control
02:25of the House after next fall's midterms. Now he was asked about the pivotal elections in an interview
02:30with the Wall Street Journal saying, quote, we'll see what happens. We should win, but you know,
02:34statistically, it's very tough to win. Adding that the GOP will try their best. And historically,
02:39he's right. The party in control of the White House usually loses seats in the House during midterm
02:44elections. And given the fact that Republicans hold a razor thin majority in the lower chamber,
02:50Democrats are generally favored to flip control. In fact, trivia time here. There have only been two
02:55instances since World War II when the party in control has gained seats in 1998 under Bill Clinton
03:01and in 2000 under George W. Bush. Now, despite him hedging to the journal, President Trump is not
03:07giving up hope that 2026 will be the third such bucking of the trend. He says 2026 will usher in
03:13better economic news that could be a boon for the GOP. For more on these stories and everything else
