00:05It's really, really amazing. I didn't think we were going to get out in a while, so it's really, really
00:09cool.
00:13How long were you stuck in Dubai for?
00:15I was only transiting through, so I wasn't supposed to be there for a Friday.
00:19We had a transit through Abu Dhabi, and we had a 13-hour layover, so we stayed in the hotel
00:26in the airport.
00:27All the flights got cancelled, all our alarms started going off, like our watches and phones were beeping,
00:33missile alert, missile alert, I've never experienced that in my life.
00:36At 1.30 in the morning, everybody was woken up by this huge explosion, and you could feel the, like,
00:43you know,
00:43it's like a wave just went through you, and the building didn't shake, but you could just feel this wave
00:48and a loud explosion.
00:49They're so nice, they're so calm, everybody calm down, everything's going to be fine, everybody relax.
00:55I mean, they couldn't have been nicer.
00:57It's a great relief to be back, but I have to say that actually where we were staying in Dubai,
01:01it wasn't too bad,
01:02and we were quite comfortable, but it's just the, it's unnerving not knowing what's happening,
01:06and whether we were going to be able to be back or not.
01:08We were very lucky, we were already booked to come back with Emirates on Sunday,
01:12and we had a phone call last night from a travel agent saying that Emirates were putting on a relief
01:17flight,
01:19and we got to the airport for, I think it was a 48th flight, which was a special flight plane
01:23we got on, I think.
