A couple who arrived back in the UK on the first chartered flight from the Middle East said they took shelter in a car park beneath their hotel in Dubai to avoid the Iranian attack.The Titan Airways plane touched down at London Stansted just before 1am on Friday after taking off over 30 hours later than planned due to technical problems.

00:04and we stayed in the hotel that was two doors down from Fairmont
00:08they got hit by one of the intercepted drones
00:11so luckily we wasn't in the hotel when the explosion happened
00:16apparently the hotel got shut and it's pretty loud
00:18but we did hear one of the drones that got intercepted in Abu Dhabi when we were on the beach
00:25that was the first one we heard wasn't it
00:27and then they sort of continually just kept coming throughout the next few days
00:31we actually tried four different flights to get home
00:34we went out there with VA and then they cancelled on that
00:37we tried an Emirates flight, that then got cancelled
00:40tried to fly to my flight, then that got cancelled
00:42and we decided to go over the border and get them home from the land to Muscat Airport
00:48and nothing's got on our own government
