00:00:01Nestled in the hills of the Santa Monica Mountains,
00:00:05this extraordinary mansion was built by a homeowner
00:00:08inspired by his travels through Italy, Spain, and the Mediterranean.
00:00:12When we were in Italy, there was this house that wasn't totally built,
00:00:17pulled over to the side of the road, and I said, that's it.
00:00:19That's what I'm going to build.
00:00:20The Mediterranean revival-style home
00:00:23spans 10,000 square feet of interior living space
00:00:26and is situated on an expansive nine-acre property.
00:00:31With seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms,
00:00:33the estate can comfortably sleep more than 13 guests.
00:00:37After its completion, the estate caught the eye of a location scout.
00:00:41When the bachelor asked me to try to find the mansion for the show,
00:00:46they asked to find really high ceilings.
00:00:48They needed to be able to do that rose ceremony.
00:00:51And in 2007, it was chosen as the iconic backdrop for the bachelor.
00:00:58I thought it was going to be like a one- or two-day thing,
00:01:00and it turned it into something like 20 years now.
00:01:03Over time, bedrooms were transformed into confessionals and control rooms,
00:01:08while legendary spaces like the rose room...
00:01:10Tyler, will you accept this race?
00:01:12I'd love to.
00:01:13...and the poolside terraces were forever cemented in bachelor history.
00:01:17Everyone else take your shirts off now!
00:01:20I did not feel her champagne.
00:01:23It's where fairy tales began.
00:01:25I love you.
00:01:26Were you married?
00:01:27Yes.
00:01:28...and where hearts were broken.
00:01:29It's not in the cards for me.
00:01:31I think I need to go home and be a mom.
00:01:34What just happened?
00:01:37Now, for the first time ever, we're pulling back the curtain,
00:01:41revealing the mansion as you've never seen it before,
00:01:45transforming one space at a time.
00:01:49Oh!
00:01:50We've brought together 12 Bachelor Nation alumni with real design and build expertise
00:01:55to give this place the makeover it deserves.
00:01:58The last remnants of the bachelor house.
00:02:01Finally getting my hands on some tools.
00:02:03Some are back on familiar ground.
00:02:05Others are stepping through these doors for the very first time.
00:02:09Our 12 contestants have already lived through the twists and turns of the Bachelor franchise.
00:02:14You and I both have been a villain.
00:02:15I'm not dying to work with Courtney on another team.
00:02:17She needs to go.
00:02:18They know this is not gonna be easy.
00:02:20Are we gonna keep the strongest players here or are we gonna send them home?
00:02:23This is brutal!
00:02:25They'll be judged.
00:02:26I feel like it looks like Toy Story.
00:02:28That's not good.
00:02:29And in the end, only one will be crowned the winner.
00:02:33You guys have a footprint all over this mansion, which is iconic.
00:02:37But each of them is here to carve out their place in Bachelor history,
00:02:40to showcase their skills and walk away with a $100,000 cash prize.
00:02:46What?
00:02:46And the clock is ticking because this renovation has to be finished before a new season of The Bachelorette begins.
00:02:54The tools are real.
00:02:56The drama is real.
00:02:58I wasn't trying to be sneaky.
00:02:59I hate your ideas and I always have!
00:03:01And the stakes have never been higher.
00:03:03Are you serious?
00:03:04I'm Jesse Palmer and welcome to the most dramatic renovation competition this mansion has ever seen.
00:03:11This is Bachelor Mansion Takeover.
00:03:36We got some work to do.
00:03:38Jill, hi.
00:03:39Jesse.
00:03:40How are you?
00:03:40Okay.
00:03:41How are...
00:03:42Like any great relationship, renovating this mansion is going to take a lot of hard work.
00:03:47I know I haven't been the best at finding studs on Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise,
00:03:52but I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to nail it.
00:03:55I'm Jill.
00:03:55And I'm from season 26 of The Bachelor.
00:03:58These are the ashes of my ex-boyfriends.
00:04:01And I brought them here just in case you make the same mistake.
00:04:04And then I was on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 and again in season 10.
00:04:11Where I self eliminated.
00:04:13I'm going to give you a tour.
00:04:14Let's go.
00:04:14Alright, let's do it.
00:04:16I don't want to watch people fall in love.
00:04:18I want that for myself.
00:04:20I could be desired.
00:04:22I'll swim.
00:04:24Why don't you head on in?
00:04:25Here we go.
00:04:29Oh my god.
00:04:31Oh.
00:04:33Okay.
00:04:35Wow, boxes.
00:04:36I've never seen it like this.
00:04:39It's kind of depressing.
00:04:41The last time I was here, I was in a gown, fighting for my life.
00:04:47And now, I get to tear it all apart.
00:04:50You got to get all the bad energy out.
00:04:57Oh, wow.
00:04:58Jesse.
00:04:59Noah, good to see you.
00:05:00How you doing?
00:05:00I'm Noah.
00:05:01I'm Tayshia.
00:05:02You've actually never been to The Bachelor Mansion before, right?
00:05:05No, I've never been here.
00:05:06On my season of Bachelorette, we didn't have the opportunity to come to the mansion.
00:05:10I've heard horror stories about, you know, some of the functionality aspects of it.
00:05:16I'm a little nervous.
00:05:17I told Abby, seen a bit, you know, and you know, I'm here just for the experience.
00:05:22I'm super excited.
00:05:23You mentioned Abby, of course.
00:05:23Everybody knows the two of you together, obviously.
00:05:26So far, I've loved getting to know you.
00:05:28You know, moving forward, I definitely want to, like, keep trying to pursue.
00:05:31And if there's anything there, then keep running with it.
00:05:34So you still want to be the power couple of each?
00:05:37Royalty.
00:05:38Abby and I met on Paradise.
00:05:39We broke up on Paradise.
00:05:41We got together off the show, got married, and we're in love.
00:05:45You guys do a lot of really cool work back at your home in Oklahoma together, right?
00:05:48I wish she was here because her design is significantly better than mine, but all these different pieces of things
00:05:54I've learned from her,
00:05:55and then just seeing if I can put it all together and win this thing, you know what I mean?
00:05:59Sounds like you're just the man for the job, man.
00:06:01I'm glad you're here.
00:06:02Appreciate it.
00:06:03Send Abigail my best. I'll see you inside soon.
00:06:05Will do. Thank you.
00:06:05Take a peek, dude. First time walking through. Enjoy.
00:06:08Whoever walks through that door, they don't know what they got coming.
00:06:13Let's see who it is.
00:06:14Who is it?
00:06:16Wait, shut up!
00:06:18Oh, my God! I shouldn't have known!
00:06:20No!
00:06:21Oh, my God!
00:06:22Oh, damn it! He just redid his house!
00:06:24Let's go.
00:06:26No, it's okay.
00:06:26No, I'm a little rusty, but...
00:06:28No, you're not. You just redid your house.
00:06:29Looks like so is this place.
00:06:30I didn't know you did stuff with your house.
00:06:32Girl, I don't have a house. I'm an architectural historian.
00:06:35Oh, no way.
00:06:36Yeah, I'm a preservation planner, so I deal with architecture every day. It's my job.
00:06:46Look who showed up.
00:06:47I'm here, not in an evening gown.
00:06:49You look so great.
00:06:50I can't believe I'm back at the mansion.
00:06:53I thought when I left here, I was gone forever, and here I am.
00:06:56Here you are, making history as the first ever Golden Bachelorette. How wild is that?
00:07:00It's wild. I feel like Cinderella right now.
00:07:02How does it feel to be back where all the magic happened?
00:07:05Of course, this is where you met your incredible fiancé, Chalk.
00:07:07Oh, my God.
00:07:12Joan, will you marry me?
00:07:14Of course I'll marry you.
00:07:16You're a woman of so many talents, but I know interior design, I think, is one of them, right?
00:07:21Always been a passion. I went back to school and got my interior design degree, so I feel so fortunate
00:07:27that I get to be here.
00:07:28I got to be on the first ever Golden Bachelor show. I got to be the first ever Golden Bachelorette.
00:07:33I feel so lucky. I feel like this franchise has given me so much, and I really want to give
00:07:39back to it.
00:07:40I want to make this place amazing.
00:07:42I can't believe I'm back.
00:07:45What's up, Jesse?
00:07:46Dean, how we doing, sir?
00:07:48Doing pretty good now. How are you?
00:07:49Great.
00:07:50My name is Dean. You might remember me from The Bachelorette all the way back in 2017,
00:07:55or marrying my beautiful wife from Bachelor in Paradise.
00:07:59It'd be cool to have someone to, like, come along with the adventures.
00:08:01Traveling's, like, my thing.
00:08:02Yes.
00:08:03Oh, my gosh.
00:08:03Cheers to that.
00:08:04How many cheers can we do tonight?
00:08:06Until the drinks are empty.
00:08:07What are you bringing here to the mansion?
00:08:09Uh, a lot of her design abilities that have rubbed off on me, hopefully.
00:08:14Good.
00:08:14This looks so different.
00:08:16Like, worse?
00:08:17Yeah.
00:08:17Yeah.
00:08:18It needs to work.
00:08:19But that's why we're here.
00:08:22Do you know?
00:08:23What is it?
00:08:24Oh, my God!
00:08:25What's up, baby?
00:08:26Hi.
00:08:27Oh, my God.
00:08:28How are you?
00:08:29I knew you were going to be here.
00:08:30We were just texting, actually.
00:08:31That's right.
00:08:32I was asking for some advice on how to do my backsplash.
00:08:37Hi.
00:08:38Hey, Tammy.
00:08:38Feel like somebody came prepared.
00:08:40I know what I'm doing, you know?
00:08:41Good to see you.
00:08:42Come on in.
00:08:43How are you?
00:08:44Good.
00:08:44How does it feel to be here?
00:08:45It's been six years since I've been back here, so it's nostalgic for sure.
00:08:49We got some TSA here?
00:08:51Yeah.
00:08:51They told me there was a large package in front of the mansion.
00:08:54Is that what you heard?
00:08:54Yeah.
00:08:55I'm going to have to do some private screening.
00:08:57Are you?
00:08:58So I'll see you in the inside.
00:08:59I know you also have a lot of experience doing this, too, though, right?
00:09:01You just renovated a social club back in Syracuse, I hear.
00:09:03Yep.
00:09:03I renovated properties before, and I'm also a realtor in New York, Florida, and California.
00:09:07Oh, boy.
00:09:08Why don't you head on in with your hard hat?
00:09:10Bye.
00:09:11See ya.
00:09:15Chris.
00:09:16Jesse.
00:09:17Welcome back.
00:09:18Kind of like irregular, what we've been going through.
00:09:21So I brought some prune juice.
00:09:23Oh.
00:09:23Uh-huh.
00:09:24And by the evening, everything will run very well.
00:09:29You look great.
00:09:30You're still in amazing shape.
00:09:32I got to give it to you.
00:09:32Thanks.
00:09:32That's what construction does.
00:09:34Yeah, and that runs in the family, right?
00:09:36Yes.
00:09:36That's something that you know very well.
00:09:37I am a builder, remodeler, and my son is my partner.
00:09:43I'd love to get my hands on this place.
00:09:45As they say, let the games begin.
00:09:47Well, well, well, well, well.
00:09:49How are you?
00:09:51It's been too long.
00:09:51How you doing?
00:09:52How you doing?
00:09:53I'm so happy to see you.
00:09:55Okay, I got another golden here with me.
00:10:02Sorry, Jesse.
00:10:03I just got here from my last job site.
00:10:05Sam, good to see you, man.
00:10:06What did you bring with you?
00:10:07I got myself a one-by-four right here, man.
00:10:10Just to help with the renovation.
00:10:12How are you?
00:10:12Okay, nice.
00:10:13Yeah, I'm doing great.
00:10:14On The Bachelorette, I was definitely the villain.
00:10:16I'm not doing it.
00:10:17You're gonna do it.
00:10:18Here, cheers to growth.
00:10:20You can't convince me to jump.
00:10:21I'll give you a little push.
00:10:23I think this go-around, yeah, I'd definitely like for the world
00:10:28to see another side of me.
00:10:31The provide!
00:10:32Courtney, fill me in.
00:10:34What's been going on?
00:10:34The last time I was here, I got engaged to The Bachelor.
00:10:40Will you marry me?
00:10:41Yes, of course I will.
00:10:44I will love you forever.
00:10:47Didn't work out.
00:10:48Right.
00:10:49I unfortunately was the villain.
00:10:51Courtney, let's spin the bottle.
00:10:53Dot, dot, dot.
00:10:54Ben.
00:10:57How'd that taste coming out of your mouth?
00:11:04Winning.
00:11:05Winning.
00:11:06I'm a mom, and it's the best job I've ever had.
00:11:09Oh, I'm so happy to hear all that.
00:11:10I'm here to play for my kids and my family.
00:11:12I am now married.
00:11:14I'm a mother of three.
00:11:16I've been a residential real estate agent since 2009, and I have done a lot of renovations
00:11:22and flips.
00:11:24Honey, I'm home.
00:11:26Hi.
00:11:27I feel like I'm qualified to freshen up this place and give it new life, because this place
00:11:33needs it.
00:11:34This is so gaudy in my opinion.
00:11:37Yeah, I know.
00:11:37It's really good.
00:11:37It needs a facelift.
00:11:41JP!
00:11:42Sandra!
00:11:43Hi.
00:11:44It's so great seeing you.
00:11:46Boy, you were looking mighty dapper today.
00:11:48Oh, you know, it's so great seeing you.
00:11:49I've missed you.
00:11:50Missed you too.
00:11:50How's everything going?
00:11:52Great.
00:11:52What's the mindset going into this competition?
00:11:55A little excited.
00:11:55Are you nervous at all?
00:11:57A little bit.
00:11:57I'm a little bit nervous too, and I wanted to bring that up because I remember on The Golden
00:12:01Bachelor you had that amazing breathing exercise with Gary.
00:12:04Can you lead me through that breathing exercise again?
00:12:06Okay.
00:12:07I'm going to take a few breaths.
00:12:08Close your eyes.
00:12:09Go up with your hand.
00:12:11Think of something really cool or soothing or whatever.
00:12:14What I do when I get nervous, I have this zen practice.
00:12:18So I'm going to do that right now if you don't mind.
00:12:21Yeah.
00:12:21Okay.
00:12:24I'll take a couple of breaths.
00:12:35Oh, yeah.
00:12:36Better?
00:12:37You can come on in.
00:12:37All right.
00:12:38Thanks a lot.
00:12:44Jeremy.
00:12:46What's up, Jen?
00:12:47How are you?
00:12:48How's it going?
00:12:49It's going good.
00:12:50Hey, Palmer.
00:12:50Keep it close.
00:12:51Oh.
00:12:53My background's in civil engineering.
00:12:55And real estate, so hopefully it'll make me think out of the box.
00:12:58Hopefully you'll keep that mindset.
00:12:59Good to see you, man.
00:13:00All right, brother.
00:13:00You too.
00:13:00I'll see you soon.
00:13:01See you inside.
00:13:05What's up, Jesse?
00:13:06How you doing, brother?
00:13:06My name is Brendan, and you might know me from Tayshia's season of The Bachelorette.
00:13:11Like, I feel really connected to him.
00:13:14I don't know.
00:13:14I feel like I could marry him.
00:13:15I was in the top three or four.
00:13:17In my early 20s, I did get married.
00:13:20There's a big part of me that's still broken.
00:13:22You deserve a man who is healed from his past.
00:13:27And unfortunately, right now, I'm not that man.
00:13:30You made some mistakes, so I'm glad it's not dating.
00:13:33I'm glad I get to use my hands a little bit and show some skills.
00:13:41Hi, Alicia.
00:13:42Jesse, my guy.
00:13:44I'm Alicia.
00:13:45You might recognize me from Grant's season of The Bachelor
00:13:49and more recently from season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise.
00:13:52She's young.
00:13:53She's pretty.
00:13:54She's blonde.
00:13:54She seems right up some of these guys' alley.
00:13:57I'm just not excited.
00:13:59I feel a lot more confident showing up for this than finding love.
00:14:02Yeah.
00:14:03This is going to be a much easier journey for me.
00:14:05Pageant girl getting her hands dirty.
00:14:07Yeah.
00:14:08I think I'm the 1% in the world in interior design.
00:14:11I really believe in myself.
00:14:12So I'm expecting to win.
00:14:14And I'm expecting some drama because, let's be honest,
00:14:16this is still Bachelor nation.
00:14:18We are in The Bachelor house.
00:14:19And under this roof, there's always drama.
00:14:24Oh, we have one.
00:14:25Okay, is it a girl?
00:14:25It's a girl.
00:14:28Hello.
00:14:29Hello.
00:14:30Oh, Jesus Christ.
00:14:41Hello.
00:14:44Hello.
00:14:46Alicia is here.
00:14:48I met her on Paradise for all of three seconds.
00:14:50I think that she has personal beef with me.
00:14:53So my guard is definitely up.
00:14:56Jill and I were on Paradise together.
00:14:58But coming into this, I definitely don't trust Jill.
00:15:01I kind of get the vibe that she doesn't like me.
00:15:04So, I don't know.
00:15:06She's very cold to me.
00:15:09Me too.
00:15:10Good to see you.
00:15:10Good to see you.
00:15:12Good to see you.
00:15:13That'll be fine.
00:15:14Hi, my sister.
00:15:16You're telling me everything.
00:15:19Welcome back, everybody.
00:15:21It's great seeing everyone again.
00:15:22Good to see you.
00:15:23How does it feel to be here in The Bachelor mansion?
00:15:25Oh, my God.
00:15:26If these walls could talk, they'd scream.
00:15:27Feels great.
00:15:29But there's clearly a lot of work to do.
00:15:31So for some of you, I know this is a long-awaited first visit here
00:15:34because your journeys didn't actually take place in this building.
00:15:38So what's it like finally walking through the doors of The Bachelor mansion?
00:15:42Never thought I'd be here.
00:15:43I'm glad it's not a dating show, but maybe less colors of the rainbow on the walls.
00:15:48Yeah, it's definitely a lot of busy patterns and stuff,
00:15:50so I'm excited to see what it's going to look like at the end.
00:15:52Well, as you all know, the Golden Bachelorettes, they all just moved out,
00:15:57and this mansion, as you can see, is in need of a transformation,
00:16:00and you've been chosen to lead the charge.
00:16:04Over the next 20 days, you're going to take on projects that push you to your absolute limits.
00:16:10This is going to test your creativity, your craftsmanship, and your ability to work both on your own and as
00:16:16a team.
00:16:17Week after week, you're going to face new challenges, transforming this mansion one space at a time.
00:16:23Some of you will stay. Some of you will go.
00:16:26And in the end, one of you will walk away.
00:16:36With $100,000.
00:16:43That's crazy!
00:16:50I want to be very clear though.
00:16:52We really are in a tight timeline before a brand new season of The Bachelorette begins.
00:16:58Which brings me to your very first challenge.
00:17:02And your judges for the competition, Bachelor Nation icons, Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron.
00:17:10Amazing!
00:17:13Tayshia wasn't only a contestant on The Bachelor.
00:17:16Tayshia, will you accept this rose?
00:17:19Of course.
00:17:19One of the few in Bachelor Nation history to be both a Bachelorette and a host.
00:17:25So she's an expert in what it's like to live this experience.
00:17:28And Tyler has lived in the mansion.
00:17:30Wow.
00:17:31Hi.
00:17:32You are absolutely killing that dress.
00:17:34Oh, thank you.
00:17:35You look amazing.
00:17:36So he knows what works and what needs to change.
00:17:39That was a tight end.
00:17:39As you can tell.
00:17:41I want to feel it.
00:17:41Behave, girl.
00:17:42Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:17:43Yeah, a tight end.
00:17:43He's a general contractor with his own home renovation show.
00:17:47He knows the build world.
00:17:49And he knows it inside and out.
00:17:51Your judges are outside waiting for you.
00:17:53So why don't you head on outside to the terrace.
00:17:55And I'll see you all very soon.
00:17:56Good luck.
00:17:59After you, sir.
00:18:00You ready to see some ex-boyfriends?
00:18:02You know, I wasn't planning on doing that while being here, but sure.
00:18:07Oh, there's boxes.
00:18:08Holy moly.
00:18:09Ah.
00:18:09Hi.
00:18:10Hi, Tayshia.
00:18:11Welcome, welcome.
00:18:12Hi, Tyler.
00:18:12Hi.
00:18:13Hey.
00:18:14My God, hi.
00:18:16Good boy.
00:18:17What's up, guys?
00:18:18Brennan.
00:18:19I haven't seen you in quite some time.
00:18:21Never in a million years would I have envisioned that I would see Tayshia here for the first time in
00:18:27five years.
00:18:27We haven't talked.
00:18:28We haven't seen each other since our time on her season.
00:18:32Brennan, you sweating a little bit.
00:18:34Hi, Noah.
00:18:36Lovely.
00:18:37My ex-girlfriend's the judge.
00:18:38Keep you on your toes always.
00:18:40Never forget that, Noah.
00:18:41Uh-huh.
00:18:43What are some of y'all's background in construction and design?
00:18:46I'm probably the best painter.
00:18:47I've been in this world for a long, long time.
00:18:50I've done commercial roof repair for 10-plus years.
00:18:55And now I have a construction company.
00:18:57We do painting, Venetian plaster, lime wash.
00:19:01We do a little bit of everything.
00:19:03Sandra, what do you do?
00:19:04I have had a real estate license for 40 years.
00:19:06So I've seen a lot of properties.
00:19:08What do you think of this property?
00:19:09Um, I'm glad we're here.
00:19:12Can you use a little TLC?
00:19:13Yes, yes.
00:19:14Dad, you're a contractor, right?
00:19:16This is the only thing I've ever done.
00:19:18The only job that I have ever had in my entire life is actually being a contractor.
00:19:23I come from a construction family.
00:19:25My dad taught me at a young age.
00:19:27And just something that I've fallen in love with as time has gone by.
00:19:30Tyler, you're a contractor.
00:19:31I am, I am.
00:19:32So I'm excited to see your finish skills.
00:19:33We're gonna, we're gonna do it right.
00:19:35Joan, you're being real quiet down there.
00:19:36That's not like you.
00:19:37No, it's not.
00:19:38But this box is really intimidating.
00:19:40I'm dying to know what's in it.
00:19:41Are you guys ready to get to work?
00:19:42Absolutely.
00:19:43Think of this as your design boot camp.
00:19:45A test of speed, focus, and problem solving under pressure.
00:19:49The first challenge is renovation math.
00:19:52Oh.
00:19:53Answer the question right, and you'll unlock your crate.
00:19:55Inside your crate, you will find your next task.
00:19:58A paint sheen match test.
00:20:00Line up the tiles by their finishes in the correct order to reveal the code for your lockbox.
00:20:05Unlock your lockbox, and inside you'll discover a key for your toolbox.
00:20:09This will be your final puzzle.
00:20:11The last step standing between you and the golden hammer.
00:20:14The first person to raise the golden hammer wins the challenge.
00:20:17That locks in immunity and is guaranteed safety for the first renovation challenge.
00:20:21Can you help me?
00:20:23Are you asking for...
00:20:25Yeah.
00:20:26Because if I need help you a lot...
00:20:27Yeah, I got you.
00:20:28Okay.
00:20:29Everybody ready?
00:20:31Absolutely.
00:20:31Let's do it.
00:20:32Your first impression skills test begins...
00:20:35Now!
00:20:39If you're tiling an 11 foot by 12 foot bathroom floor,
00:20:43and there's a 2 foot by 6 foot double vanity that doesn't need flooring...
00:20:46How many square feet of bathroom floor will you have to cover?
00:20:49Oh!
00:20:53This is probably going to be the slowest part of the challenge.
00:20:55Come on, come on, come on.
00:20:56Dig fast, dig fast, dig fast.
00:20:5812 by 12 is 124.
00:21:01Simple math.
00:21:0211 times 12 minus 6 times 2.
00:21:05You just multiply and then subtract.
00:21:06Easy.
00:21:06120.
00:21:08Just kidding!
00:21:09I'm so good at math!
00:21:10Always in, too, guys.
00:21:11You gotta hurry up.
00:21:13Sam, great job.
00:21:14Two crates are open now.
00:21:16No way!
00:21:18The tiles are out.
00:21:20It's a race to get this done the fastest.
00:21:21I feel like I'm in a great spot.
00:21:24There are four different pallets of sheens of paint.
00:21:27Flat, matte, satin, and semi-gloss that we have to put in their proper position to get a code to
00:21:33unlock the next box.
00:21:35Alicia is finally in.
00:21:36Alicia has opened up the box.
00:21:37Here we go.
00:21:38You're competing for immunity here.
00:21:39Immunity from being sent home is massive going into the first week and really sets a tone for the rest
00:21:45of the competition.
00:21:48You can't open the lock.
00:21:49I'm looking down the line and I just see boxes open.
00:21:53It's almost like they weren't even locked.
00:21:54And mine's the only one locked.
00:21:56I'm in trouble here.
00:21:58I can't remember math.
00:22:00Noah, as pretty as he is, not great at math.
00:22:03Okay.
00:22:04There you go.
00:22:04Take it off the shirt.
00:22:05That'll help your brain.
00:22:06Yeah.
00:22:07It's gonna be 10 by, um, no, no, six.
00:22:10Why?
00:22:11Because you subtract.
00:22:12Me and Brendan are not doing so well.
00:22:14Seven by six.
00:22:15Where'd you hit 10?
00:22:16Maybe I have jumped into an alliance a little bit too quickly, but he was standing right next to me.
00:22:20So by association, I feel like that mini alliance there just happened.
00:22:23But the only thing I know about him is that he is a terrible ally.
00:22:27Keisha, I will say this, though.
00:22:29The two guys from your cast are right now in last place.
00:22:32Yeah.
00:22:32Okay.
00:22:33Let's just not talk about that one.
00:22:35There we go.
00:22:36Goodness gracious.
00:22:39Dean, you can't lose it now.
00:22:40You're ahead of the game.
00:22:43Sam's moving.
00:22:44Shake it, shake it.
00:22:49Dean is at the end right here.
00:22:50Could he be the first person to get to the Golden Hammer?
00:22:58So now I'm on this page that says count how many Bachelor contestants there are.
00:23:02Middle digit, the number of Bachelorette contestants competing on this show.
00:23:05As I'm counting, I see Sam also kind of look up and start counting people.
00:23:08And I'm like, oh, gosh, okay.
00:23:09So I'm kind of in a head-to-head with Sam right now.
00:23:12Bottom digit, the number of Golden contestants competing on this show.
00:23:15You guys, this is for Immunity.
00:23:17Let's go!
00:23:21Here we go.
00:23:23Golden Hammer!
00:23:24Whoa!
00:23:27Wow!
00:23:29Nice!
00:23:30Good job, Dean.
00:23:31Congratulations.
00:23:32You've won the Golden Hammer.
00:23:34And with that, Immunity.
00:23:35And my wife will let me into the house now, I think, for not being the first one eliminated.
00:23:39Must be nice.
00:23:41Yeah!
00:23:43I am the first winner of the first competition.
00:23:46And you know what that means?
00:23:48I got Immunity.
00:23:50Week one, I'm safe.
00:23:51All thanks to this beautiful Golden Hammer.
00:23:54Oh!
00:23:55I did the math wrong!
00:23:57I did 140 the whole time!
00:23:58You did the math wrong, Brennan.
00:23:59That's so bad.
00:24:01Chris, how are you feeling right now?
00:24:02You didn't even get in the crate!
00:24:04Disappointed, but I'm not, um, discouraged.
00:24:07Tammy, what happened there?
00:24:08See, I made an alliance, and I was really relying on him, but he was confusing me, so then my
00:24:13mind was all jumbled.
00:24:14You guys hear that? There's already an alliance started here.
00:24:17Never relying on my hand.
00:24:17Great team, too. Let me tell you.
00:24:19Something to take note of, though, because your alliance could either advance you or hurt you.
00:24:24This is only the beginning. The competition is just getting started.
00:24:27Alright, head inside, get settled. You've got beds upstairs waiting for you.
00:24:32Bye!
00:24:35Feels so nice in here.
00:24:40Wonderful.
00:24:41Wow.
00:24:43Oh, my God. Look at you, Tammy!
00:24:45I lift weights sometimes.
00:24:46Oh!
00:24:47I'm going back to my old room.
00:24:48There's three main bedrooms that the contestants sleep in on the show.
00:24:52There's, like, the primary bedroom, there's a middle bedroom, and then there's a bedroom just past that.
00:24:57That was the room that I slept in when I was a contestant on The Bachelorette.
00:25:01This is the best room in the house in 2017.
00:25:04Wow.
00:25:04Yep.
00:25:06It's just me and you.
00:25:07Let's just both take the bottom.
00:25:08It's huge.
00:25:08You want the bottom?
00:25:09No, both of us on the bottom.
00:25:10Perfect.
00:25:11After you.
00:25:41What do you got in there?
00:25:42You look so small.
00:25:43Oh!
00:25:44Wait!
00:25:45This is where I was last time.
00:25:48This is where I feel most comfy.
00:25:50This is so nostalgic.
00:25:52So I was in the top bunk and Sandra was underneath me and we were in the small bedroom all
00:25:56the way at the end.
00:25:57Uh-huh.
00:25:58Which had, like, a major storage problem.
00:26:00Is this the closet space?
00:26:02Do you like top or bottom?
00:26:03Bottom.
00:26:04Okay.
00:26:04I can't climb up.
00:26:05I'll go up.
00:26:05There was really, like, no room for our suitcases, Ethan.
00:26:07Did you ever try to use the shower?
00:26:09I showered downstairs.
00:26:10I did everything downstairs because here it's like you're on full display.
00:26:14It was challenging.
00:26:15Yeah.
00:26:17We should walk down there.
00:26:18It's, like, totally different.
00:26:19Let's do it.
00:26:19I want to check it out.
00:26:20You show me the way.
00:26:21I'll show you the way.
00:26:22I've only done night one.
00:26:23I'm going to keep observing this place too a little bit.
00:26:25Are you keeping it real?
00:26:26Always.
00:26:27You know that.
00:26:27Let me know if you form any alliances.
00:26:29Nah.
00:26:30Yeah, me too.
00:26:30Don't worry.
00:26:31I'm not turning my back on you guys.
00:26:33You're not alliancing off?
00:26:34I think maybe we should.
00:26:35I really like him.
00:26:36I like him too.
00:26:37If there are alliances to be made, I mean, I would love to...
00:26:40I'm with you.
00:26:41Connect with you.
00:26:42You being Mr. Goldhammer and all, you wouldn't vote me off, would you?
00:26:45I was just thinking that.
00:26:47Not this soon?
00:26:48No, I wouldn't vote anybody off.
00:26:49I would hate to be in that position and have to vote someone off.
00:26:51I feel like such a dick regardless of who it is.
00:26:54You can vote me off.
00:26:55Just please make it later.
00:26:56No, I wouldn't.
00:26:57I wouldn't do that.
00:26:58Dean and I are pals.
00:26:59I've waxed Dean in golf many times.
00:27:01So, you know, he's your little brother, you know?
00:27:04Make a truce right now.
00:27:05You take me to the end, I take you to the end.
00:27:07Shall we?
00:27:07Yeah.
00:27:08Should we make a truce?
00:27:09Oh, .
00:27:10Did you actually spit?
00:27:11No, I didn't.
00:27:15This is the matchup that I was waiting for.
00:27:17I'm like, when am I going to meet Tammy?
00:27:18Have we never met?
00:27:19We've never met.
00:27:19I feel like I've met all of you because it's all online.
00:27:22I know.
00:27:22I know.
00:27:23I'm just like your parasocial friend.
00:27:24Yeah.
00:27:25Oh.
00:27:26I know.
00:27:26Well, great to meet you.
00:27:27Cheers.
00:27:28I was very curious to find out how they're going to do the eliminations.
00:27:32Like, is it going to be like a voting off thing?
00:27:34Truth be told, I feel like a lot of people want, everyone's being nice.
00:27:40This is day one.
00:27:41Mm-hmm.
00:27:42I think that's going to change real quick.
00:27:43Mm-hmm.
00:27:44If that's what it turns into.
00:27:45I agree.
00:27:53Oh, my God.
00:27:54Where's the coffee?
00:27:55Get yours.
00:27:56It's necessary.
00:27:58Ooh, baked goodies.
00:28:00Oh, I hope roast coffee.
00:28:02Oh, my God.
00:28:02I love scones.
00:28:03Oh, this looks good.
00:28:06I can afford to eat some of that this morning.
00:28:08You know, I did my two miles already.
00:28:09You ran?
00:28:10You kept me up all night.
00:28:11Did I know her last night, for real?
00:28:13A little bit.
00:28:13How'd you sleep?
00:28:14I slept all right.
00:28:15Yeah?
00:28:15Somebody in our room was talking in their sleep.
00:28:18Did you hear that?
00:28:20I think I heard her.
00:28:22I couldn't understand what she was saying.
00:28:24Maybe she was talking about her gameplay.
00:28:26Oh, I should have listened in.
00:28:27She might be really good.
00:28:28Jeremy, don't believe what they say about you.
00:28:30You're a doll.
00:28:31Jeremy gave me a coffee.
00:28:33This morning, I'm not really nervous.
00:28:35I'm more excited.
00:28:35This is HGTV, but it also is Bachelor Nation at the end of the day.
00:28:39So I know how important relationships are.
00:28:42There's no place to sit in this kitchen.
00:28:44You could probably do, like, eight barstools there.
00:28:46I mean, you could seat a lot of people here.
00:28:47And you don't need this weird thing right here.
00:28:50There's a lot of weird things in this house.
00:28:51Like, this is so bulky.
00:28:52Yeah, it is big.
00:28:53You gotta get rid of the chevron.
00:28:54Absolutely.
00:28:55It needs to go.
00:28:55Hey, everybody.
00:28:56How we feeling?
00:28:57Good morning.
00:28:57Good morning.
00:28:59All right.
00:28:59Please get changed and meet me in the mixer room.
00:29:02All right.
00:29:02Let's go.
00:29:03Let's go.
00:29:04Fire it up.
00:29:07Let's do it.
00:29:08Good.
00:29:08You ladies can sit first.
00:29:10It's a go time.
00:29:11And I was just, like, immediately tense.
00:29:13Maybe it's the trauma from the years of this show.
00:29:17But I feel like, oh, God, what is it going to be?
00:29:19Hey, everybody.
00:29:20Hey.
00:29:21How are we doing?
00:29:22Good to see you all.
00:29:23Doing good.
00:29:23Well, I hope you all slept well last night, because today, the real competition begins.
00:29:30That room you slept in last night, that's the room that you're going to be renovating this
00:29:36week.
00:29:37Yes.
00:29:37Yes.
00:29:38So here's how the teams break down.
00:29:40The two smaller bunk rooms will join forces, forming one team of six.
00:29:45The larger bunk room, that's another team of six.
00:29:48Let's go!
00:29:50You guys are so done with.
00:29:53We did good.
00:29:55Let's go.
00:29:56It's bachelors versus bachelorettes.
00:29:58I'm really excited.
00:29:59I'm happy.
00:30:00I'm fired up about this first challenge.
00:30:02I think that the guys are going to come up with some beautiful rooms.
00:30:05Yes.
00:30:06We got this.
00:30:07Great.
00:30:08All of the brain power is together.
00:30:10We all have a background in design or architecture.
00:30:14It might be a little challenging for the men to compete with the women.
00:30:17These aren't just makeovers.
00:30:18You're going to be solving real life mansion problems.
00:30:24Storage, space, privacy.
00:30:27Just think back to your time here.
00:30:28What was missing?
00:30:29Would you maybe have made your rooms more comfortable?
00:30:32Maybe more inviting?
00:30:33On my season, there were all kinds of challenges.
00:30:36Lighting, privacy.
00:30:37So we need to make a home away from home here.
00:30:41You're going to be judged on design.
00:30:43Solving for storage space, privacy, while elevating the look of that room.
00:30:49Execution.
00:30:51Qualities of your craftsmanship.
00:30:53Your attention to detail.
00:30:55And also how well you all bring your ideas together.
00:30:57Then finally, creativity.
00:31:00Fresh ideas.
00:31:01Bold solutions.
00:31:02And design choices that really make that bunk room stand out.
00:31:06Nail those.
00:31:08Head right to the top.
00:31:09But you fall short.
00:31:11And you could be facing elimination.
00:31:13Okay.
00:31:15Right out front, we've built you a fully stocked workshop.
00:31:18Tools, lumber, paint, anything and everything you need to bring your visions to life.
00:31:22Now you're also going to have a team of carpenters to help you along the way.
00:31:26That'd be comparable.
00:31:28And that's not all.
00:31:29Each team will be responsible for creating four custom bunk beds,
00:31:33enough to sleep eight people across your rooms.
00:31:36Additionally, Wayfair is providing furniture and decor for this challenge.
00:31:41You'll only have just four days to pull this all off and transform your spaces.
00:31:47That's not a lot of days.
00:31:49We have a limited budget and we have limited time.
00:31:51But we're going to make it happen.
00:31:53Because if we don't get it right, one of us could be going home after this challenge.
00:31:58All right, everybody.
00:32:00The clock is ticking.
00:32:01And the renovation challenge starts now.
00:32:04Let's go.
00:32:05Let's go.
00:32:06I have full faith that we will win this challenge.
00:32:07I'm a very competitive person.
00:32:09Let's go, Tammy.
00:32:10Go, go.
00:32:11So I'm here to bring it.
00:32:12And honestly, I'm here to win.
00:32:14Go, go, Brandon.
00:32:17Team boys.
00:32:18You finally let me lose.
00:32:20Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:32:22First impressions walking into the bedroom.
00:32:24The colors on the wall are as depressing as some of the stories of the people who leave this mansion
00:32:30in heartbreak.
00:32:30But the tiles that surround the bottom of the whole mansion are great.
00:32:35There are good windows.
00:32:36There are good wood doors.
00:32:38So a lot of bones are there already.
00:32:40Oh, my God.
00:32:41We have so much to do.
00:32:43So the current state of the room that we're in is purple walls.
00:32:48What?
00:32:48But honestly, it's not terrible.
00:32:52I love there's a fireplace in the bedroom.
00:32:55There's, you know, an applique on the ceiling.
00:32:59And as a preservation planner, I want to preserve the character-defining features that make The Bachelor Mansion special.
00:33:07Some people don't like the tile, but I think we have to keep the tile, because that's a character-defining
00:33:12feature.
00:33:13You know, like, it has to feel Mediterranean.
00:33:15Out here, let's talk about the use.
00:33:17I feel like I would do my makeup out here.
00:33:18I would, too.
00:33:19We did.
00:33:20I did my makeup out here.
00:33:21How about, like, a cute little fire pit with four chairs that then can be utilized in the morning when
00:33:26you want to sit here and do your makeup?
00:33:27I feel like the girls are going to go, like, a neutral, like, light color.
00:33:31Yeah.
00:33:32Less is more.
00:33:33Do you guys want to keep it, like, the Mediterranean vibe, though?
00:33:35Yeah.
00:33:35Just a little bit.
00:33:36Gives a character to the house.
00:33:38What about, like, a Centurini vibe?
00:33:39Bright white, light blue, and then mosaics.
00:33:42That's Mediterranean.
00:33:44Terracotta is super popular right now.
00:33:47Or, like, an olive color green.
00:33:49That, like, falls into the category of Mediterranean-style home.
00:33:53All right, hear me out.
00:33:53What if we do this?
00:33:54What if we do bright white walls, bright blue ceiling?
00:33:57You're stuck on that blue, aren't you?
00:33:59I am.
00:33:59I am.
00:34:00I'm not going to rest on it either.
00:34:01When you walk in, your eyes are going to gravitate towards the ceiling.
00:34:04If you have a too bright of a color.
00:34:07We don't want the room to feel smaller than it actually is.
00:34:08I think it'll look bigger.
00:34:09It doesn't need to be a bright blue.
00:34:10It could be more of a muted light blue.
00:34:12I'm actually really on board with your idea now.
00:34:15I would paint everything the same color.
00:34:17The blue ceiling for me, that's something I do not want to do at all.
00:34:21I'm just afraid it could look a little tacky.
00:34:24It could look like a kid's room.
00:34:26In general, I think less is more.
00:34:28I've always liked to use individual pieces to accent, not colors.
00:34:32I like that.
00:34:33I've never seen a blue ceiling, unless at a museum with clouds.
00:34:39Ooh.
00:34:40Mm-hmm.
00:34:42Wow.
00:34:42Okay, guys.
00:34:43Okay.
00:34:43So we have to decide on all of our materials.
00:34:47Paints, fabric, hardware, furniture.
00:34:49And so we have a lot of work to do.
00:34:52Does anybody have any initial ideas?
00:34:54I think we need a space plan first.
00:34:55So we have really not amazing walls.
00:34:58We have a huge fireplace.
00:35:00Mm-hmm.
00:35:00We have a door that takes up a lot of room.
00:35:02But we're thinking bunk beds out here on either side.
00:35:05And then the same thing over here.
00:35:07So this is going to be two bunk beds.
00:35:08But we're hoping we can make them so they face each other,
00:35:10because otherwise we have a door issue over here.
00:35:12We should use these spaces for, like, vanity space.
00:35:16For makeup.
00:35:16If it was tall enough and everyone could just slide their suitcases under here,
00:35:20and that way it's just one shelf, people can put their stuff on the shelf,
00:35:23and now you're not taking up so much real estate in another enclosure
00:35:25that's sticking out of the wall.
00:35:27We talked about creating arches over on this side,
00:35:29so it kind of mirrors the fireplace.
00:35:31Probably not doing them over here.
00:35:32So these are going to be, like, little different spaces, right?
00:35:34Oh, I would think we would.
00:35:36You think we're going to do arches over there?
00:35:37Yeah, there's, like, the principles of design,
00:35:38we have to have repetition and balance,
00:35:40so it's very ridiculous to look at.
00:35:42Well, and continuity.
00:35:43Can I say something?
00:35:44I thought that I was loud and I had a strong personality.
00:35:48Whoa!
00:35:49I don't, actually.
00:35:50Are the bunk beds going to be painted or no?
00:35:52I think we should use a white oak.
00:35:54Okay.
00:35:54I agree.
00:35:55You know?
00:35:56Do we have an idea of what type for the books?
00:35:59We want to make sure they look really high-end.
00:36:02I think the thorn in the side is the fireplace.
00:36:04That's a big thing to decide on.
00:36:05What we should do is we should wrap this to the ceiling
00:36:08and have storage in it,
00:36:09and I think that we should be utilizing a similar white oak
00:36:13or something that's going to mesh well with it.
00:36:16Could we maybe gut what's inside here,
00:36:20and instead of it being a functional fireplace,
00:36:22what if this is, like, a nook that we put books or shelves or, like...
00:36:25The challenge is to create a solution for these bunk beds,
00:36:29and the fireplace doesn't work.
00:36:30It's not being lit,
00:36:32and it doesn't serve a purpose besides its beauty.
00:36:34But I think that there's not going to be very much usable storage in there,
00:36:38and why are we going to make this space smaller when it is, like, a vaulted element?
00:36:42Because it's not used as space.
00:36:43You can't really use it.
00:36:44I think that we have to stay true to the fireplace,
00:36:47or else it's just an insert fireplace, and it's kind of weird.
00:36:50That's my one ask.
00:36:51I agree.
00:36:52Wait, we also need to pick more paint colors.
00:36:54Yeah, let's think about paint colors.
00:36:56Yeah, let's think...
00:36:57I really love a baby blue and a pop of red.
00:36:59Red?
00:37:00I want something new, something bright.
00:37:02I love dove white or gray.
00:37:03I think gray is a relaxing color for sleep.
00:37:06Alicia, what do you think?
00:37:07Greens or blues?
00:37:08The greens go... I love this age, too.
00:37:09It's a gorgeous color.
00:37:11Where do we go with something with roses?
00:37:13Like a red wall.
00:37:14I mean, I'm open to all ideas.
00:37:17Okay.
00:37:17Wow.
00:37:18Six voices all at once?
00:37:19I can't be quiet, because I don't want to be left out.
00:37:21I have a real contribution to make.
00:37:24We need to discuss the finish of the paint.
00:37:26All right, so let's talk about what walls are going with.
00:37:29That's what they need.
00:37:29A flat, semi-gloss.
00:37:31What's happening in this space?
00:37:33But, but, but, do we want flat?
00:37:35Well, if we did, like, a sagey green plus neutral colors,
00:37:38I think that'll tie in what we kind of want.
00:37:40Okay, but, but, but.
00:37:41What do we want flat?
00:37:42I love white, white for a ceiling.
00:37:43I think it makes this space look the biggest.
00:37:45Oh, I agree.
00:37:45I personally love it.
00:37:45One more to ask.
00:37:47We need to select the finish.
00:37:52One more to ask.
00:37:54We need to select the finish of the paint.
00:37:57Are we going flat, semi, whatever.
00:38:00Period.
00:38:01Like this flat.
00:38:02Yeah, I think this is it.
00:38:03Or it's gotta be, like, wipeable.
00:38:04Whatever this is.
00:38:06Okay.
00:38:06It's a flat.
00:38:08Excellent.
00:38:08Excellent.
00:38:09Excellent.
00:38:10Take a breath.
00:38:11Whew.
00:38:17That Greek villa is really pretty with the sage.
00:38:20We all like the sage.
00:38:21If you look outside of that bedroom door and out of those windows,
00:38:24you see these beautiful mountains.
00:38:25You see the palm trees.
00:38:26We want to mirror the nature.
00:38:28So for the walls, we have sagey.
00:38:30For the trim, we have Greek villa.
00:38:33And for the ceiling, we have high-reflective white.
00:38:35Yes?
00:38:36Yes.
00:38:37You got it.
00:38:37Love.
00:38:38Happy.
00:38:38Here we go.
00:38:40Guys, we need to get rid of this medieval door.
00:38:43Yeah.
00:38:43Absolutely.
00:38:44Delete.
00:38:45Delete.
00:38:49It needs to be a sea blue, not a sky blue.
00:38:52No, I think that's way more grease.
00:38:54This one is?
00:38:54Yeah.
00:38:55Still don't like it, but...
00:38:56Yeah, not usually.
00:38:58So I throw out the Santorini idea, and the guys are not feeling it at all, but I put up
00:39:02a sample on the wall.
00:39:03I think white walls and a blue ceiling is an absolutely fantastic idea.
00:39:07And I think I'm slowly starting to get the guys to agree with me.
00:39:10Bro, on the ceiling, I kind of like it.
00:39:12This one or that one?
00:39:13No, the brighter one.
00:39:14Which one?
00:39:14Is that mine, or is that me?
00:39:15Yeah, yeah, yours, Sam.
00:39:16Dean, he is contributing a lot to the team and some good ideas, and he's not afraid to
00:39:21do something crazy.
00:39:22We have two rooms, so that's an advantage for us.
00:39:24Yeah.
00:39:24That's our safety valve.
00:39:25This is our passion project.
00:39:27Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:39:28I don't know.
00:39:29So are we in agreement on blue plate for the ceiling?
00:39:32Good.
00:39:32I think Sam and Bea are a little hesitant on it, but...
00:39:35I've always said no on the blue ceiling.
00:39:38On the ceiling?
00:39:38That wouldn't be my first choice.
00:39:40That's not my natural preference.
00:39:42Envision that right there, blue ceiling with the dark colored doors.
00:39:45No, because the white in the middle will break it up enough.
00:39:47So after talking in circles for far too long, we need to come to some type of agreement
00:39:52and move forward quickly.
00:39:54Yeah, I mean, the white will break it up.
00:39:56That was my only, that's my last thing.
00:39:58So you guys want to win the challenge?
00:39:59Yeah.
00:40:00Then we should do the Santorini room.
00:40:03Yeah, let's just do it.
00:40:04All in favor, say aye.
00:40:06Yeah, whatever.
00:40:07We'll make it look good.
00:40:08Yeah.
00:40:09Finally, the Santorini idea that I've had is going to come to life.
00:40:12I've guaranteed victory to my teammates.
00:40:14And if we don't succeed, I will look like an ultimate fool.
00:40:16But I'm not going home, so I don't care.
00:40:20I like it.
00:40:21I like it.
00:40:22Deliberations are over.
00:40:24We also got to think about patio.
00:40:26We get furniture out here and some cool stuff.
00:40:28It's time for the team to move on to the other room.
00:40:30A safer, more neutral room.
00:40:33Not as crazy as Santorini.
00:40:35So this is our Tuscany room here.
00:40:38That's for the wall, right?
00:40:39This is the wall.
00:40:42And then I'm saying the ceiling as well, but...
00:40:45Yeah.
00:40:45Yeah, that looks good.
00:40:46I think with the wood, we could do a cool accent wall.
00:40:50100%, yeah.
00:40:50We could do a four-foot vanity right here.
00:40:53Dude, this is going to be the best area of the room.
00:40:55It'll be a very cozy nook area with chairs and a table in both rooms.
00:40:59I think we're getting real close, boys.
00:41:01Are we ready?
00:41:03Porn ready.
00:41:03I wonder if the guys have any of this in their rooms.
00:41:08We have to get rid of the weird little window that peeks into the bathroom.
00:41:14There's an applique on the ceiling.
00:41:18I can reuse it in some way.
00:41:20I don't think we want this.
00:41:21Well, let's just save it.
00:41:22Why not?
00:41:23Let's get some of these tools out of here, brother.
00:41:31See ya.
00:41:35My first bunk bed.
00:41:37Wait, did you guys do that one, too?
00:41:39Yeah.
00:41:40These look good.
00:41:41I know, right?
00:41:42Solid.
00:41:43Solid.
00:41:44Yay!
00:41:45The fireplace wall is very difficult.
00:41:47So, if we go back to our arch ID.
00:41:50We have these two beds that are coming together, like, toe-to-toe.
00:41:53We have this beautiful arch.
00:41:55The problem is we can't figure out what to do on the other side.
00:41:57We have sets of bunk beds coming out, so they're on either side of the fireplace.
00:42:01We can't figure out how to work the arches in.
00:42:03So, we had to go back to the drawing board.
00:42:05They're still designing.
00:42:07What's going on over here?
00:42:09Want to see this, Jill?
00:42:11Right now, as it is, we have the two bunk beds here in the fireplace.
00:42:15We need to do some kind of arch because we have the arch as a feature on the other side.
00:42:20So, I think we have to continue it somewhere here.
00:42:22Uh-huh.
00:42:23We see a lot of arches and curvature throughout the entire house.
00:42:27So, we wanted to mimic a few of them to create balance and continuity in the space.
00:42:34What did we miss?
00:42:35We're—this is changing.
00:42:36We're not changing.
00:42:37It's not changing.
00:42:38We're just trying to figure out that arch.
00:42:39We don't have a design for the two bunk beds being in the fireplace.
00:42:41But with the fireplace, you have to remember that it's vaulted this way.
00:42:45So, it's not going to line up with anything.
00:42:48Unless we build a wall on either side.
00:42:49No!
00:42:50I know. I know. I know.
00:42:51We're not building a wall.
00:42:54I want to go see what the guys are doing.
00:42:58Watch it. Watch it. Enemy above.
00:43:00We're having a little bit of a hard time.
00:43:02That's why I just walked away.
00:43:03Courtney, give us the scoop. What's going on over there? You can tell us.
00:43:05I was going to ask your design opinion, but—
00:43:08You can ask.
00:43:10Arches on the bunk beds.
00:43:11It's been like a point of contention all day.
00:43:14I have a hard no on that, and that's my honest answer, too.
00:43:18You got to go in there and put your foot down.
00:43:20I've been trying.
00:43:22How funny is it that Courtney comes over here asking for advice?
00:43:25Yeah, they're struggling over there.
00:43:26So, we're not doing the arches on the end anymore?
00:43:29No. We could do the arches on the side.
00:43:30So, let's say we move this out 24 inches, move it 24 inches into the room.
00:43:34It gives us an arch on the side.
00:43:35I don't think that we need the arches, and I've said that, like, 1,000 times today.
00:43:39Bye, ladies!
00:43:40Y'all have fun!
00:43:41Bye, guys!
00:43:43Bye, boys!
00:43:43Love you!
00:43:44Good luck!
00:43:47All right, I think we should wrap it up.
00:43:49Like, I don't think we should keep designing it.
00:43:51I think we've over-designed it.
00:43:53Okay.
00:43:53I think we should sleep on it.
00:43:53Okay.
00:43:54You can't walk off when there's a time crunch.
00:43:58Jill!
00:43:59Take me with you!
00:44:01I don't respect that, and I don't want to work with a teammate who's going to do that to us.
00:44:05I think, uh, after talking to the girls for a second, I'm a little more confident where we stand.
00:44:09I'm much more confident.
00:44:10Little infighting going on over there.
00:44:12Told you that would happen.
00:44:13I think you did say that.
00:44:14No, I'm actually, like, genuinely, like, proud of us that we came up with a great game plan, so...
00:44:21It's pretty funny to see six strong-willed gentlemen, uh, agree a lot of times, you know?
00:44:26Yeah, yeah.
00:44:26Because I think it could have gone a different way.
00:44:28Oh, yeah.
00:44:29Lord have mercy!
00:44:31I cannot hear the word arch one more time.
00:44:34No, you know.
00:44:37I feel like we keep having the same conversation.
00:44:39It's, like, the definition of insanity.
00:44:41Yeah.
00:44:42Personally.
00:44:42I don't want to be a bad team player and let them run in a circle, but I also don't
00:44:48want to run in a circle.
00:44:50This needs to be special.
00:44:51I think so.
00:44:52If this does not land, we're dead.
00:44:54I feel like I'm getting on people's nerves, but, like, we kind of have to get this squared away.
00:44:58I'm so sad we couldn't box out our higher ways.
00:45:02It would have solved so many problems.
00:45:04I tried.
00:45:05I think it would have looked a lot more built in.
00:45:07It would have...
00:45:10I'm nervous.
00:45:22We got work to do.
00:45:24It's day two.
00:45:25We have the bunk challenge.
00:45:26We haven't finalized about half of the details.
00:45:28And with the timeline we have, it's going to be tight.
00:45:31Obviously, we've got our beds.
00:45:32Ladder goes up right here.
00:45:33And run curtains from here to there.
00:45:36Correct?
00:45:36We would agree that whatever draperies in the room use the same color drapery for the privacy curtains.
00:45:42If we can trim and hem it...
00:45:44I mean, unless somebody's a seamstress, I'm not.
00:45:47I'll get after it.
00:45:47I've got to go back to being 12 years old, but I think it's in there.
00:45:53Listen, I think yesterday was a lot.
00:45:56It kind of felt like everybody was off to the races and it all happened so quickly.
00:46:00I, like, replayed a lot of conversations in my mind last night and I was like, that person said that
00:46:07and I don't think we really acknowledged it and maybe really considered it.
00:46:09It sounds like it's the bed still. It sounds like it's the fireplace still.
00:46:13That's why I was getting a little frustrated because it was like, oh my gosh, the arches and, like, I
00:46:17thought we would have something locked in.
00:46:19But then it was like we kind of kept backsliding.
00:46:21I think we have to be more decisive. I think we have to stick to a certain plan.
00:46:27Because we need to move forward.
00:46:28I think that's just what makes this challenge so much harder than I thought it was going to be.
00:46:33Yeah.
00:46:33We're working on teams. We're working with, you know, the existing parameters of the room that it's not easy.
00:46:40If it was my dream world, I would design the arches on either side of the fireplace, but I would
00:46:46rather not waste any more time and just give in.
00:46:50Details are really important. It's going to be what's going to set us apart from them.
00:46:54So two of our four bunk beds is going to have the arch, making them look built in.
00:47:00But the other two bunk beds on either side of the fireplace won't.
00:47:03Okay, this is what we're going with.
00:47:05I love you guys. I think we're going to do really good.
00:47:13Hey, our Sherwin Williams paints here.
00:47:15Favorite part of the day right here.
00:47:19We got to kick it into high gear and get something done.
00:47:21There's a decent amount of painting that I want to do in the Tuscany room.
00:47:25We need to make the final decisions on the bunk beds and start building the desk.
00:47:31Dean is painting the Santorini blue and the white walls.
00:47:35You know, if the judges don't like this, it's entirely my fault.
00:47:38But I got a golden hammer, so I'm going to be safe.
00:47:43So much better.
00:47:44So much better today.
00:47:46We were all a little stressed yesterday.
00:47:47Making decisions that quickly with six different opinions is very hard.
00:47:53We were all coming from the Bachelor world.
00:47:56And I think hoping to leave that dramatic side behind and focus on just the design.
00:48:01So coming together and working as a team while also getting to know these ladies,
00:48:06I think we handled it really well.
00:48:08There we go. She's going to do a heart.
00:48:13No more design right now.
00:48:15Finally, I'm out here getting my hands on some tools.
00:48:18So right now I'm building the multi-purpose vanity desk for the Tuscany room.
00:48:26Building some legs.
00:48:27And then I'm going to cut for the baseboard that this is all going to slide up against.
00:48:32I don't know about you guys, but when I was thinking about it going up on this bed,
00:48:36I was thinking about it running vertically like this.
00:48:39Or it's going to look like this.
00:48:41Yeah.
00:48:41It looks better in my opinion to be vertical.
00:48:43Yeah, I think vertical too.
00:48:44I think that's perfect.
00:48:45Yeah.
00:48:46And then we should paint the Tuscany bunk beds brown and the Santorini bunk beds white.
00:48:51I think like anytime you envision like a Santorini themed room,
00:48:55I think it's like clean.
00:48:57Yeah.
00:48:57You know, not too much to overwhelm the space.
00:48:59No decorative on the bed and no decorative on the wall.
00:49:02Yeah.
00:49:02Yeah, for none for Santorini.
00:49:03Yesterday we were spending way too much time trying to figure out what paint color we want.
00:49:07What's next?
00:49:08Let's figure it out.
00:49:09Let's get the next bunk beds.
00:49:10Now we're making decisions on the fly.
00:49:12It really kind of instills a sense of confidence.
00:49:15And I don't even like know how to like explain how excited we would be if we won.
00:49:20Curtains that are going to be the green.
00:49:22The green, which I love.
00:49:25Ooh.
00:49:26Somebody's here.
00:49:30Who's that?
00:49:31Oh.
00:49:32What?
00:49:35This is so crazy.
00:49:37Oh, is it a date card?
00:49:39Uh-oh, come on.
00:49:40Breaking news.
00:49:41Breaking news.
00:49:42We have a fate card.
00:49:46A fate card.
00:49:47What?
00:49:48A date card means good news.
00:49:51Because we have our own individual time with The Bachelor.
00:49:54Hannah V.
00:49:55Oh, my God.
00:49:57True love is on the horizon.
00:49:59Alicia.
00:50:00Yes, yes, yes.
00:50:01Time to shoot your shot.
00:50:04A fate card.
00:50:05A fate card.
00:50:07What the?
00:50:08Okay.
00:50:09No.
00:50:09See what that means.
00:50:11This is so scary.
00:50:12Just when I thought I was done with date cards.
00:50:15Here comes a card.
00:50:16But it's not a date card this time.
00:50:17It's a fate card.
00:50:18Anytime any kind of card comes, it becomes intense.
00:50:22You don't know what that person is about to read.
00:50:24Roses are red.
00:50:25Violets are blue.
00:50:27Two people will be going home.
00:50:29Don't let it be you.
00:50:30In one hour, each team will vote off one member of their own team.
00:50:35No.
00:50:35What?
00:50:35What?
00:50:36Are you serious?
00:50:37This is brutal.
00:50:39What?
00:50:40That is stone cold, man.
00:50:42In one hour?
00:50:44That's...
00:50:45I thought we would at least get through one challenge.
00:50:47Yeah, for sure.
00:50:48This is really sad.
00:50:49I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
00:50:51This is terrible.
00:50:56This sucks.
00:50:57I'm shocked.
00:50:58I hate this.
00:51:00Oof.
00:51:00My tummy is not feeling good right now.
00:51:02Ugh.
00:51:03Like, one of us won't be able to see this through is insane.
00:51:06Yeah, no kidding.
00:51:07Yeah.
00:51:07This is so sad.
00:51:08I guess this is kind of like the first taste of, like, the realness of it all, you know?
00:51:11So the bomb just got dropped.
00:51:13Everyone's freaking out.
00:51:14Two people are about to go home.
00:51:16But I'm not gonna be one of them because I got that golden hammer.
00:51:19Thank goodness.
00:51:19But I'm pretty stressed out about this.
00:51:21I don't want to vote for anyone.
00:51:23I can't believe they're doing this.
00:51:25I'm a little pissed.
00:51:26This is a little too cutthroat and brutal for my liking.
00:51:29Yeah, yeah.
00:51:29We all, like, love and respect each other right now.
00:51:32So this is just, like, like a random pick.
00:51:34At this point, do you vote for someone who is the most skilled or contributing the most?
00:51:41But why would you try to get rid of somebody if this just started that contributes a lot?
00:51:46Because they're the biggest competition.
00:51:48Let's talk about why we are here.
00:51:50This is our final plea.
00:51:51And what we hope to get out of this and maybe that will help.
00:51:54I think, like, this is my calling.
00:51:55I did take a break to try to, like, find love and it didn't work out.
00:51:59Maybe it is just time for me to fall in love with my own life and my own career.
00:52:03When I left Paradise, I kind of realized, like, no one's coming to save me.
00:52:08Like, I have to make it for myself.
00:52:10And, like, I'm not going to lie, like, the money would change my life.
00:52:13Being an architectural historian is not a high paying job.
00:52:17And so I've given up a lot to do what I love.
00:52:21Obviously, my why is my family.
00:52:24Yeah.
00:52:24It's really expensive when you have kids.
00:52:26It really is.
00:52:27I would like to win the money for my family.
00:52:29And to, like I said, get back to myself because I've kind of lost myself.
00:52:34Listen, I don't know if I want to go so deep into it, but I've had a really rough childhood.
00:52:41I feel like there's always this chase to prove myself and for someone to be proud of me.
00:52:46I opened up my social club and not a congratulations or I'm not proud of you for my parents.
00:52:51So I think I'm trying to fulfill it in myself, but it's not easy.
00:53:04Well, I'm going to go build a desk instead of sitting here.
00:53:07Yeah, get your mind off it.
00:53:07Looking at each other.
00:53:09I got to get some work done.
00:53:16As a Golden, you get very few opportunities to challenge yourself.
00:53:20You're too old.
00:53:21And I feel like this is a chance for me to prove that I still deserve to be seen.
00:53:27Can I piggyback off of being the oldie in here?
00:53:29I don't speak up enough because I think you can't have six chiefs.
00:53:34No, totally.
00:53:34You have to pull back to let leaders lead.
00:53:37Yeah.
00:53:38And followers follow.
00:53:39I think he's a phenomenal guy.
00:53:40I just think with the vision, he's just been one step behind what all of us have been trying to
00:53:46put down.
00:53:48Obviously, we all relate because we're younger and that's kind of like the elephant in the room.
00:53:52Nobody wants to see anyone go home, but a hundred grand is a hundred grand and that's why we're here.
00:54:02Hi, everyone.
00:54:03Hi.
00:54:06You guys look a little somber coming in here.
00:54:09Yeah, what's going on? How are we all feeling?
00:54:12Stress.
00:54:13Shocked.
00:54:14Being asked to betray our comrades.
00:54:19I don't think we've had enough time to really judge each other on our merits.
00:54:23It seems a little early.
00:54:25I think at this point, you guys are starting to kind of realize this isn't just about your design skills.
00:54:30It also has to do with the relationships you're making.
00:54:33It is time to face your first elimination.
00:54:36Mm-hmm.
00:54:37So, here's how it's going to work.
00:54:39Each team is going to vote out one member from their own team.
00:54:45Since Dean won immunity, he cannot be voted for.
00:54:48But there's more.
00:54:49Not only does Dean have immunity, he also has the power to break a tie.
00:54:54So, if either team is deadlocked, he himself will choose who goes home.
00:55:02It's time to vote.
00:55:04Sam, let's start with you.
00:55:17This is a tough one.
00:55:22I just didn't hear your voice in this challenge, and I really wish that I could've.
00:55:35Chris, I know a lot of the guys said that, so they're going to vote out.
00:55:38But I can't vote out a guy who just spent the whole day building a desk.
00:55:51Sucks.
00:55:54I thought she was the most difficult person to work with.
00:55:58I was always second-guessing if we were doing what was right for her and hearing her, so...
00:56:04I voted for Jill.
00:56:11The votes are in.
00:56:12Two of you will be leaving the mansion tonight.
00:56:16We'll begin with the bachelorettes.
00:56:22First vote.
00:56:26Courtney.
00:56:28Next vote.
00:56:33Sandra.
00:56:37Sandra.
00:56:38Sandra.
00:56:39Next vote.
00:56:43Is for...
00:56:44Jill.
00:56:48Sandra.
00:56:50Last vote.
00:56:52Sandra.
00:56:54Damn.
00:56:54No.
00:57:00Sandra.
00:57:01You've been eliminated from the competition.
00:57:03Please say your goodbyes.
00:57:05Okay.
00:57:07Goodbyes.
00:57:08I love you.
00:57:10I got four votes.
00:57:11That's overwhelming.
00:57:12So I'm a little hurt, a little embarrassed.
00:57:16Crushed.
00:57:16Is there any advice you have for the remaining contestants?
00:57:20Watch your back.
00:57:24Now, Team Bachelors.
00:57:27First vote.
00:57:32Chris.
00:57:34Second vote.
00:57:36Jeremy.
00:57:41Chris.
00:57:53Jeremy.
00:57:57That's three votes for Chris.
00:57:58Two votes for Jeremy.
00:58:00And the last vote of the night...
00:58:05is Jeremy.
00:58:07Hmm.
00:58:10Oh, damn.
00:58:10That means...
00:58:13Three votes for Chris and three votes for Jeremy.
00:58:15It's crazy.
00:58:17Dean, the final decision is in your hands.
00:58:20Can you please come up here and join Tayshia and I?
00:58:33Dean, the final decision is in your hands.
00:58:38I voted based off of experience.
00:58:42I think Chris has a lot of experience, obviously.
00:58:45So I voted for Jeremy to leave and I'm going to stick with that.
00:58:49Hmm.
00:58:52And with that, Jeremy, your time has come to an end.
00:58:56It was definitely shocking to see three of my teammates write my name down.
00:59:00Don't get me wrong.
00:59:01Chris definitely has that Carpenter experience on me.
00:59:04He has decades of it.
00:59:05I'm sorry, really.
00:59:06It was so good.
00:59:07Yeah.
00:59:07I do think they're a bit naive and there are a lot of other parts of this competition that will
00:59:11come up.
00:59:12So I don't think I'm the least experienced, but at the end of the day, it might help them win.
00:59:18Tomorrow, the bunk challenge continues and the pressure only gets greater from here.
00:59:23Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi
00:59:25-yi-yi.
00:59:45The four sets of bunk beds.
00:59:47This was hard to cut, I know.
00:59:48Thank you for doing that.
00:59:49We also have to stain two credenzas that are going to go in the room, creating a place where you
00:59:54can do your makeup.
00:59:55What do you guys think about that length?
00:59:57Does it need to go to the floor or is it good where it is?
00:59:58There's going to be the trundle there and he got us some nice hardware.
01:00:02For the rest of the day, we are now going to focus on the little details.
01:00:05I think this is where all of us are going to be able to shine.
01:00:08A little higher.
01:00:09I only have this much to work with.
01:00:18I'm going to throw the top on real quick.
01:00:19Also, I wanted to say that I didn't vote for you because I think you're one of the most knowledgeable
01:00:24people here.
01:00:25Yesterday was a game changer.
01:00:27Jeremy got voted out.
01:00:29And right now, I need to really watch my back.
01:00:32It looks so good.
01:00:33So when we look at it from the front, it looks like an old vintage desk.
01:00:36The whole thing is going to be green.
01:00:38Yeah.
01:00:39Except for the tops.
01:00:40And this, that's going to be walnut.
01:00:43You've got that OG craftsman knowledge and...
01:00:47I got a lot of core experience.
01:00:49Yeah.
01:00:49And I just observe a lot right now to see what you guys are bringing to the table.
01:00:53It's a team contest right now.
01:00:55Later on, we can go for each other's throats if we want to.
01:00:58Yeah.
01:00:58But right now, that's it.
01:01:00It's us against them.
01:01:02Not me against you.
01:01:09Be careful of this thing.
01:01:10Oh, I know. What did you think about last night?
01:01:12Oh, girl.
01:01:13I was really shocked.
01:01:14Yeah.
01:01:14And I was a little pissed.
01:01:16Oh, 100% I was pissed.
01:01:17Also, it was, like, alarming that that might be the way the eliminations keep going.
01:01:22That's what I'm saying.
01:01:23Because Sandra had to vote for somebody.
01:01:24And it made me think, like, who else?
01:01:28Yeah.
01:01:28Somebody here voted for one of us.
01:01:32I asked Alicia this morning, like, did you vote for me?
01:01:36She said she voted for Sandra.
01:01:37I don't know if people are telling me the truth.
01:01:40But, like, at the same time, it almost doesn't matter.
01:01:43Does it make a difference?
01:01:43No, it doesn't make a difference.
01:01:44I really think that Sandra voted for me.
01:01:48I feel like Joan could have.
01:01:50She could have voted for me.
01:01:51She could have voted for me.
01:01:53Ugh!
01:01:58Looks good, man.
01:01:59Oh, yeah, dude.
01:02:02We need another two.
01:02:08I have no idea what the heck I'm doing over here.
01:02:10That's how every great project begins.
01:02:12Ooh, that looks good.
01:02:13I want to create my own custom art piece to hang on the wall, right, as you walk in the
01:02:18door in the Santorini room.
01:02:19Oops.
01:02:20Oops.
01:02:21I'm going to get a bunch of joint compound, put it on a canvas, and kind of smear it all
01:02:25around.
01:02:25And I think that will match the minimalistic vibe that I was envisioning for that room.
01:02:29Not an artist by any stretch of the imagination.
01:02:32But I do like taking chances.
01:02:34So what better place to start and try it out than here when there's $100,000 on the line?
01:02:38And now that I say that out loud, that sounds pretty stupid, but it is what it is.
01:02:42We have three people who can sew.
01:02:44We might as well.
01:02:45Whoa.
01:02:45Is that hot or not?
01:02:46I think that's fine.
01:02:47Yeah, yeah.
01:02:48Perfect.
01:02:49Do we have a second iron that we could take from the boys if they're not using it?
01:02:54We would have to witness the boys.
01:02:56Okay.
01:02:58Don't act like it's a big deal at all.
01:03:00Just be like, hey, we need that iron.
01:03:04Hello.
01:03:09Perfect.
01:03:14Dude.
01:03:15Dude, those boys have never used an iron in their life.
01:03:18It's like taking candy from a baby.
01:03:20Yeah.
01:03:22This ivory looks sick.
01:03:24It's so cool.
01:03:26It was our iron.
01:03:28The girls took it.
01:03:30Dude, there's no way they stole our iron.
01:03:32You guys have an iron over there?
01:03:34We only have one.
01:03:35Oh, no, I'm not playing this game.
01:03:41Tammy, Jill.
01:03:42What?
01:03:43Who gave you that iron?
01:03:44We only got one.
01:03:47What?
01:03:47No!
01:03:47This is dangerous!
01:03:49What?
01:03:49You have two irons?
01:03:51Boys, I need help and then!
01:03:55No!
01:03:56No!
01:03:56No!
01:03:56You have two irons?
01:03:57Noah!
01:03:58Boys, I need help and then!
01:04:00Noah!
01:04:01Noah!
01:04:02I can only do so much!
01:04:03What?
01:04:04Today has been mayhem.
01:04:06I'm definitely a competitive guy.
01:04:08I'm not gonna, like, wrestle someone for an iron.
01:04:12Noah!
01:04:13We need the iron!
01:04:15We're almost done with it!
01:04:16You have two irons and you steal a man's one iron?
01:04:21You couldn't have helped a little?
01:04:23You couldn't have thrown something?
01:04:25I didn't know you...
01:04:26Distracted them?
01:04:27I didn't know they actually had two, though.
01:04:30She's beautiful.
01:04:31Yay!
01:04:32Delivery!
01:04:32We got furniture!
01:04:34It looks so good.
01:04:36I am honestly very nervous about the timeline.
01:04:39$100,000 is on the line and it all is in the judges' hands tomorrow.
01:04:45It doesn't take up that much space.
01:04:47No, it doesn't.
01:04:47It literally looks so much better than I thought was one.
01:04:50I know that everyone is really on top of the design,
01:04:53but we're all scrambling here because I don't know how we're gonna get this done.
01:04:56Hey, Sam, if I say pivot, make sure you pivot quick, alright?
01:04:59We've gotta stage this whole thing.
01:05:00We've gotta get furniture everywhere.
01:05:02We've got our work cut out for us.
01:05:04Pivot!
01:05:04Pivot!
01:05:05Pivot!
01:05:06Pivoting!
01:05:07Pivot!
01:05:07There's actually like a million things happening at once.
01:05:11People are building things.
01:05:12Princess!
01:05:13Like a glove!
01:05:14Like a glove!
01:05:15Seamstress work.
01:05:16I like that.
01:05:17But I haven't seen what the girls are doing yet.
01:05:19I'm feeling good.
01:05:20I'm feeling confident.
01:05:21It looks so good.
01:05:22Dude.
01:05:23Chris is the goat, dude.
01:05:24Thinking that we could win this, but you just never know.
01:05:27People are gonna be sleeping in here, staring up at the beautiful blue sky.
01:05:31There's a Wayfair truck out front.
01:05:34Woo!
01:05:35Ah!
01:05:36The big purple truck.
01:05:39Oh my goodness!
01:05:40Got some wicker stuff going on.
01:05:42Today, all our decor items come.
01:05:44We do all of our finishing touches.
01:05:46We're gonna make sure that our room is better than theirs.
01:05:49I got it too.
01:05:51Those things are solid wood, I'm pretty sure.
01:05:54It's a quality piece, that's for sure.
01:05:58We got blue ladders, boys.
01:06:09Hey, were these the two that you wanted to stagger?
01:06:12Yeah.
01:06:12I like a stagger on the middle.
01:06:16I cannot believe we're getting judged tomorrow.
01:06:18I'm a little nervous for that.
01:06:19We're done for the night.
01:06:21Can't do any more work.
01:06:22But we have 30 more minutes tomorrow to try to make this happen.
01:06:25So, let's go get some rest.
01:06:26We did great today.
01:06:27But the final push is tomorrow.
01:06:29I mean, we have to win this.
01:06:30So.
01:06:32You only have one chance to get this right.
01:06:34Big concern of mine.
01:06:36Are we going to pull it off?
01:06:45Watch your step.
01:06:46Hey, we gotta get mirrors hung, fireplace, make the beds.
01:06:50I would put that to the side a little bit.
01:06:52There's still a lot to do.
01:06:53And I don't know how we are going to get it ready for judging.
01:06:56Okay, perfect.
01:07:00Definitely.
01:07:01I think it looks really good, man.
01:07:02The fact that I got these guys to agree to a blue ceiling
01:07:04still blows my mind.
01:07:06Kinda sexy.
01:07:07We've got one minute left.
01:07:12Okay.
01:07:13We're done.
01:07:14Good job, guys.
01:07:14Let's go.
01:07:19Hey, everybody.
01:07:20Hi, guys.
01:07:22Good to see you all.
01:07:22How are we feeling?
01:07:23Good.
01:07:25It's better standing here in sneakers than in heels.
01:07:27Still stressful.
01:07:28Well, if there's one thing for sure, Jeremy and Sondra are proof that nobody's safe here.
01:07:33At the end of the day, it's $100,000 on the line.
01:07:38So, on to the bunk room challenge.
01:07:40You started with drab, lifeless rooms.
01:07:42They were begging for a makeover.
01:07:44You only had four days.
01:07:46I gotta be honest.
01:07:47Can't wait to see what you created.
01:07:49But first, your judges.
01:07:53Tayshia and Tyler.
01:07:54Hello.
01:07:56Good to see you.
01:07:56How are you?
01:07:58What's up, guys?
01:07:59Hi.
01:08:00They're gonna decide which team delivered a stronger overall transformation.
01:08:04And that's the team that's going to be safe from elimination.
01:08:07I'm gonna be looking at your guys' design choices.
01:08:10How you guys are gonna address all the things that we've experienced living here in the house
01:08:14that kind of makes it tough.
01:08:15Like privacy.
01:08:17Your storage.
01:08:17All those things while also still elevating the space and making it a fun place to be.
01:08:22I'll be looking at execution.
01:08:25Are the bunk beds solid?
01:08:26Are the details clean?
01:08:28Did you bring your vision to life through craftsmanship?
01:08:32Tyler and Tayshia, they're not your only judges.
01:08:36Oh.
01:08:36This week, we'll be joined by somebody who made her mark right here in the mansion.
01:08:42Who?
01:08:47Hi.
01:08:48Oh, boy.
01:08:53Tyler and Tayshia, they're not your only judges.
01:08:58Please welcome...
01:09:00Hannah Brown.
01:09:02Hi.
01:09:03Hi.
01:09:04Hi.
01:09:04I love Hannah Brown.
01:09:06I'm so excited that she's here.
01:09:07Interior design, it's a little bit of an art and you kind of have to have a good eye.
01:09:11And I think Hannah has great taste.
01:09:13I am so excited to be here.
01:09:15Hannah's journey here was certainly unforgettable.
01:09:18Hannah B.
01:09:20Just freaking trust me.
01:09:22I'm glad I'm here, but I don't feel very good.
01:09:25I'm The Bachelorette.
01:09:27Bring on the man.
01:09:28Part the seas.
01:09:30Hannah B is coming at you.
01:09:32Oh, my freak!
01:09:35Even before her time on The Bachelorette, she was already making her mark as an interior designer.
01:09:39Thanks, Jessie.
01:09:41I'm looking for bold choices, livable design, and just a room that really shines.
01:09:48We finally get to see how our rooms stack up against the ladies' room.
01:09:53I think our team deserves to win because we thought outside of the box.
01:09:58We painted a ceiling blue.
01:09:59We took some chances.
01:10:00In the end, they're going to decide which team delivered a stronger overall transformation.
01:10:05And that's the team that's going to be safe from elimination.
01:10:09So let's get into it.
01:10:11You all stay here.
01:10:12We're going to go tour the men's space first.
01:10:14We'll be back.
01:10:15I don't feel as confident as I would like to be.
01:10:18It's making me a bit nervous that we haven't really seen what the boys have done.
01:10:21It really could go any way at this point.
01:10:26Oh.
01:10:28I believe the theme of this room is Santorini.
01:10:32A little plastic piece.
01:10:33Oh, that's beautiful.
01:10:33I like that.
01:10:34This is great.
01:10:35This is the unique touch that we were looking for.
01:10:38This maybe was why Dean has immunity.
01:10:40Oh.
01:10:41Well, we've got a blue ceiling.
01:10:43Interesting.
01:10:47What do you like about this room?
01:10:59You guys, I feel like it looks like Toy Story.
01:11:04It does give me a child's room.
01:11:07Yes.
01:11:07This looks like a little boy's room, maybe.
01:11:09If they're trying to get Santorini, they definitely would get it.
01:11:12You know?
01:11:13Do you?
01:11:13Yeah.
01:11:14I mean, this is a risk.
01:11:16I appreciate they went bold.
01:11:18I mean, that's what they were told to do.
01:11:19Yeah.
01:11:20Have fun with it.
01:11:21It's definitely bold.
01:11:22Make it different.
01:11:23They hit their details.
01:11:24I'm looking around.
01:11:25Like, the paint's nice.
01:11:26I think maybe the blue Santorini I could have gotten behind if it wasn't paired with some
01:11:33of the other choices in the room.
01:11:34Yes.
01:11:36This pattern, Gingham, does not belong in this room.
01:11:39Do you think that art should have been maybe where this mirror is?
01:11:42Well, look.
01:11:44I love a floor-length mirror.
01:11:45A floor-length mirror is imperative.
01:11:48How many floor-length mirrors did you have as bachelorettes?
01:11:52Oh, I don't remember one.
01:11:54So that's thoughtful.
01:11:55It is thoughtful.
01:11:56There's a lot of different places to be able to sit in here, which is nice.
01:12:00Yes.
01:12:00The bench is great.
01:12:01I agree.
01:12:02As far as privacy goes, these are such a great touch and very useful.
01:12:05As far as storage goes, the drawers at the bottom.
01:12:09This is not as practical.
01:12:11Really functional.
01:12:12Oh.
01:12:13And this doesn't move.
01:12:14Oh, it doesn't move.
01:12:14Did these stay?
01:12:16Oh, no.
01:12:17That's not good.
01:12:18Okay.
01:12:19Well, I do want to point out, this isn't it.
01:12:21Okay.
01:12:21They had two spaces they had to work with.
01:12:24Let's go check it out after you guys.
01:12:25All right.
01:12:25Okay.
01:12:26All right.
01:12:28Oh, my God.
01:12:29Oh.
01:12:30Come on in.
01:12:31Okay.
01:12:32This is not what I was expecting from the guys at all.
01:12:34I was not expecting this.
01:12:36No.
01:12:39You feel like they've maximized the space?
01:12:41Mm-hmm.
01:12:41This room feels ten times bigger.
01:12:46I am, like, speechless right now.
01:12:49I am pleasantly surprised.
01:12:51Wasn't this supposed to be a theme?
01:12:51Yes.
01:12:52This is supposed to be Tuscany.
01:12:54Okay.
01:12:54It's not giving Tuscany.
01:12:55But also, I don't really love a themed room.
01:12:58Maybe it's more like the wood and, like, the sage tones.
01:13:01I think there are accents, maybe, that speak to it.
01:13:04What I really like is what they did with the chair rail,
01:13:06the fluted wall underneath it to give us the accent wall.
01:13:09And then they carried it with the bunk beds right here.
01:13:11Did they build these bunk beds?
01:13:13Yes.
01:13:14They built them all.
01:13:14I love the design.
01:13:16Mm-hmm.
01:13:17I think the bunk beds, the doors, everything ties in.
01:13:20I love the desk over here.
01:13:22That's where you can invite some beautiful love pillows.
01:13:25Oh, I didn't even see the desk.
01:13:25Some love letters.
01:13:26Meet me by the clock tower at midnight.
01:13:28Should've tried that one.
01:13:30I love that the colors keep it super bright and fresh in here.
01:13:33Because if you guys remember, a lot happens in this house.
01:13:36And you need a little bit of levity.
01:13:38Yes.
01:13:38And this just feels very tranquil to go back to.
01:13:41You guys, this looks really professional.
01:13:42It does look really good.
01:13:43Like, I'm really proud of the guys.
01:13:45So I will say then, mission accomplished.
01:13:47Absolutely.
01:13:48They definitely succeeded.
01:13:49They also did some work outside on the terrace.
01:13:51Check it out.
01:13:52Check it out.
01:13:52After you guys.
01:13:56Oh, my goodness.
01:13:58Oh, this is nice.
01:13:59I'm just not expecting this.
01:14:00This is very nice.
01:14:01Oh.
01:14:03Definitely made use of the space.
01:14:05Yeah.
01:14:05I like how they added some, like, modern touches,
01:14:07with, like, the pottery and the stone.
01:14:10Mm-hmm.
01:14:10It's great.
01:14:11I mean, this is where I wanted to spend most of my time.
01:14:13Crazy stuff was happening in there.
01:14:15So just to be able to come out and enjoy the fresh air.
01:14:17That is one of the great things about The Bachelor Mansion,
01:14:19I think, is what surrounds it.
01:14:21Yeah.
01:14:21This gives you a nice vantage point, I think, to look at that.
01:14:23Yeah.
01:14:24I think it's time to go see what our ladies have come up with.
01:14:28Oh.
01:14:30Hannah, it's our old room.
01:14:34Wow.
01:14:35They put in some work in here.
01:14:38The use of space is incredible.
01:14:39Incredible.
01:14:40Does this look anything like your old room?
01:14:43No.
01:14:45Welcome to the Sage Haven.
01:14:46We know you're here for the right reasons.
01:14:49Oh, nice.
01:14:51I can't believe how big it feels in here,
01:14:53because I felt like we were on top of each other.
01:14:56We were.
01:14:57Bunk beds aren't fun.
01:14:58They're not cool.
01:14:59They're not stylish.
01:15:00But in this room, they made the bunk beds a feature.
01:15:03What I really like is how they arch this side and this side
01:15:06to make it one big arch.
01:15:07They made bunk beds sexy, honestly.
01:15:10Mm-hmm.
01:15:11This right here is almost full privacy.
01:15:14I can shut this.
01:15:16Let me help you there.
01:15:18And I'm gone.
01:15:20That's nice.
01:15:21Yes.
01:15:21This is very nice.
01:15:22My one con about the beds, the top bunks don't have any privacy.
01:15:26It's only the bottom bunks.
01:15:28Mm-hmm.
01:15:28I don't know if it's an advantage or a disadvantage
01:15:31to also have the fireplace to have to design and work with.
01:15:34I think it's beautiful.
01:15:36It was Jill that fought to keep the fireplace.
01:15:38Some of them wanted to take it out.
01:15:40Wow.
01:15:40You know what they did take out?
01:15:42Beautiful.
01:15:42No, they didn't.
01:15:44There was this beautiful art piece that was in the middle of the ceiling.
01:15:48That one hurts.
01:15:49It definitely modernizes the space.
01:15:51But I wish they almost would have painted it white just to keep it here.
01:15:54Mm-hmm.
01:15:55Hold on.
01:15:56There was a window in this wall.
01:15:58Oh, that went into the bathroom.
01:16:00It's gone.
01:16:02Good idea?
01:16:03That is a great idea.
01:16:04It's a great idea.
01:16:05Well, yeah.
01:16:06Because when you would be sleeping, people would be getting ready, taking showers, and you
01:16:12had no choice but to wake up the entire room.
01:16:14The ladies were putting in real construction.
01:16:15I'm impressed.
01:16:17I love the makeup desk.
01:16:19That is something that everyone will be so thankful to have.
01:16:24Do you care that there are suitcases underneath?
01:16:26It's supposed to show the functionality.
01:16:28Remember what it was like to be in this room?
01:16:30It was so cluttered in here that Han would actually lock herself in the closet to sleep some nights.
01:16:39The closet actually felt like I had more space than being in this room.
01:16:43Because all of us women were on top of each other.
01:16:45Yeah.
01:16:46I had a lot of breakdowns in that closet every year.
01:16:49I'm pretty sure people were feeding me food in a closet that I locked myself in.
01:16:52You know, we've grown.
01:16:53Yeah.
01:16:54It's great to be back.
01:16:55Do you feel like they took enough of a swing on this one?
01:16:58In some ways, maybe they did play it a little too safe.
01:17:02I mean, it looks beautiful, but I do love art.
01:17:05And there's not really any art in this room.
01:17:08Maybe the Sage Haven is just a safe haven.
01:17:11All right.
01:17:11The fun's not over.
01:17:12Let's go check out the terrace right behind you, Tayshia.
01:17:15Oh, wow.
01:17:16Look at this, guys.
01:17:18Oh.
01:17:21Love this table.
01:17:22To be able to journal, but also to hang out, have some coffee.
01:17:27One, two, three, four, five, six girls can sit out here and do their makeup.
01:17:31Wow.
01:17:31And on a sturdy surface, not...
01:17:35That side doesn't have any tables.
01:17:37This feels like there was cohesiveness, a real reason to everything.
01:17:41I think the girls did a great job.
01:17:43All right.
01:17:44Well, you've got a bunch of people downstairs eagerly awaiting the results.
01:17:47Should we go give it to them?
01:17:48Let's do it.
01:17:49All right. Let's go.
01:17:55Hi.
01:17:59All right, everybody.
01:18:01You worked tirelessly this week.
01:18:03Four days and a lot of late nights transforming those rooms.
01:18:07And I've got to say, those rooms look incredible.
01:18:10You should all be really, really proud of the work you did.
01:18:13We are. Thank you.
01:18:15Now it's time to find out what our judges thought.
01:18:28Let's start with the men's team.
01:18:32One of the things that I absolutely loved in the Tuscany room was the vanity.
01:18:37I just thought it was a really nice touch.
01:18:39It was very well made.
01:18:40That was all Chris built up.
01:18:41Chris, that was all you.
01:18:43Good job.
01:18:44The craftsmanship was impeccable on it.
01:18:47One thing I did love, too, is all the painting.
01:18:49Clean lines everywhere.
01:18:50And that paint really brought out the baseboards.
01:18:52In the Tuscany room, I really loved the little vignette that y'all created.
01:18:58The little seating area, I thought that was really nice.
01:19:00The chair rail with the fluted wall underneath, that was a nice touch.
01:19:03But there wasn't as much dimension in that room.
01:19:06There was a lot of the same textures being repeated.
01:19:09Something I didn't really find that practical, and I'm looking at craftsmanship, is the ladders.
01:19:15The ladders didn't have any clips.
01:19:17When you pull out the drawers underneath, you're just banging into the ladder right there.
01:19:22Can I ask, whose idea was it for the Santorini room?
01:19:27Yeah, that was my idea.
01:19:29We were kind of leaning into the Mediterranean vibe of the house.
01:19:31And we knew the boldness of painting the ceiling blue, but we figured, why not?
01:19:36We're here in a competition, so go for it.
01:19:38I feel like it looks like Toy Story.
01:19:41I don't love, like, a themed room.
01:19:43The mark was missed on that one.
01:19:46The two different rooms didn't feel like they really went together.
01:19:50Tyler, I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
01:19:52I like that y'all went bold.
01:19:54It's a major upgrade.
01:19:58I love that you guys went out and made your own plastered artwork.
01:20:02That's really cool.
01:20:03Is that you, Dean, that did that?
01:20:05Mm-hmm.
01:20:05I thought that was a nice touch.
01:20:06Thanks.
01:20:07Having the two rooms, y'all had an opportunity to show more creativity,
01:20:11which I do think that y'all did, and y'all took risk, and I really appreciate that.
01:20:17Ladies, y'all tough competition.
01:20:19Do we?
01:20:19We know.
01:20:21Wow.
01:20:22Wow.
01:20:23Girls, I was so excited to see the room, because that's actually the room both Tayshia and I
01:20:28bunked in when we were here on the season, and it looked vastly different than the last time I had
01:20:33gone in there.
01:20:34And I was so shocked.
01:20:37The thing that I loved the most was all the layers, the dimension, the textures.
01:20:41That was something I was really impressed by.
01:20:45I think that you guys put yourself in that room and remembered what you kind of needed, like the vanities.
01:20:51And taking out that window was such a smart idea.
01:20:55Yeah.
01:20:55Yeah.
01:20:56Ladies, I thought you guys did an incredible job with the bunk beds.
01:21:01Like, you made a whole built-in out of the bunk beds, which I thought was really cool.
01:21:05You fluted them.
01:21:06You did an arch.
01:21:07Arches are a feature throughout this whole house.
01:21:09You guys made bunk beds sexy, honestly.
01:21:11They were so well done and so elevated.
01:21:15Another thing that I really loved was the fireplace.
01:21:17We kept it.
01:21:18We kept it.
01:21:19And I think this house is so important to keep the integrity of its history.
01:21:23What I didn't like was there was that beautiful decorative wood piece in the ceiling that disappeared.
01:21:33As beautiful as the center of the room is with the seating, it would have been really cool to have
01:21:38even a cabinet built in to put all of our dresses.
01:21:42One thing that I would have loved to see in a little bit more was some more artwork in the
01:21:47room.
01:21:47Some more interest in that way would have been nice, but overall, it looked beautiful.
01:21:52Oh, good. Thank you.
01:21:54So, after a lot of consideration, the judges have made their decisions.
01:21:58For the losing team, your stakes climb even higher because your peers are the ones that are going to determine
01:22:06who will be going home.
01:22:12I'm scared.
01:22:13These are more stressful than the ceremonies on the show.
01:22:16I agree.
01:22:17The winner of the bunk room challenge is...
01:22:42The ladies.
01:22:52Proud of us nonetheless.
01:22:55Congratulations, ladies.
01:22:57Right, so ladies, head outside, enjoy the pool.
01:22:59You're safe from elimination and you're all one step closer to winning $100,000.
01:23:06Thank you, guys.
01:23:08Thank you, guys.
01:23:11Gentlemen, it's time to face the vote.
01:23:13And remember, Dean has immunity, so you cannot vote for him.
01:23:22Dean, we'll start with you.
01:23:28Back at the voting booth.
01:23:31Maybe Chris?
01:23:33Brendan?
01:23:34No.
01:23:35This guy really blew it.
01:23:39I just think this person has the least qualities to help carry on a team.
01:23:48One of my closest friends here, but I just think he's the least well-rounded.
01:23:54If Dean didn't have immunity, I'd probably vote for him.
01:23:58I hate to do it, man.
01:24:01I think we have two carpenters on our team, but moving forward, we can't have any redundancies.
01:24:12We're gonna go collect the votes, and then we'll be right back.
01:24:22I'm gonna have, like, a personal bone to pick with them if they send Chris home.
01:24:24I'll be so mad if they send Chris home.
01:24:26I'm with you.
01:24:26Chris needs to be here.
01:24:27If Chris goes home, they're getting the silent treatment for a while.
01:24:30It would make me sad.
01:24:30We'll see.
01:24:31I'm not speculating.
01:24:40Gentlemen, before we reveal the results, you should all be really proud of all the hard work you put in.
01:24:46And with that, the person leaving the mansion tonight is...
01:24:54this season on Bachelor Mansion Takeover.
01:25:04All is fair, love and renovation, right?
01:25:07Bud, just hear me out real quick.
01:25:08What if we paint the ceiling blue?
01:25:11You can't relax for a single second here.
01:25:13That's right, you're renovating the rose room!
01:25:15What?
01:25:17The mixer room.
01:25:19The candle room.
01:25:20I feel like I'm at a five-star resort.
01:25:22And I see the guest judge, I'll be like,
01:25:24oof, go easy on me.
01:25:25Please welcome...
01:25:26Christina Hawk.
01:25:28Nate Berkus.
01:25:29No way.
01:25:30JoJo Fletcher.
01:25:31It's no secret that one of the judges is one of my exes.
01:25:35I don't like it.
01:25:36I will say, though, I didn't love the tile.
01:25:39If I go out, I want to go out on my own terms.
01:25:41The amount of just, like, bold-faced lies.
01:25:43I don't even know who to trust.
01:25:44I've been burnt by Jill.
01:25:45So, yeah, I don't trust that she's not going to send me home.
01:25:48We have to slay the dragon.
01:25:49I voted for Chris as well.
01:25:51Chris, do you keep your seats?
01:25:52Absolutely.
01:25:53I just got blindsided.
01:25:56Dean backstabbed the loyal friend.
01:25:57I can't let feelings get in the way of good design.
01:26:00This is so bad.
01:26:01And after all the sweat, and all the sawdust,
01:26:04and after all the sleepless nights,
01:26:06the winner is...
