00:00This is a $100,000 two-headed snake that literally has a different personality in each head.
00:06And I'll be showing you why this is the most expensive snake on earth,
00:09along with a $25,000 largest snake in the world, all the way down to a literal $1 snake.
00:15Yes, this first snake I was actually able to buy for only $1.
00:19Just from some guy on eBay saying he just wanted it gone.
00:22But this snake inside is looking extremely weird. I gotta get a closer look at this.
00:27So, I opened up the container to reveal that my suspicions were correct.
00:31This thing looked extremely abnormal.
00:33It literally didn't have scales like a normal snake would.
00:36And in fact, it looked more like a mutant worm.
00:38But little did I know that these things have some of the scariest mouths out of any animal on earth.
00:44Yo, and this thing is like slimy. Is this even a snake?
00:49Now, I was right to be suspicious because when I went to scan a picture of this into Google,
00:53it told me that indeed it was not even a snake.
00:56It said that this is actually something called a giant Mexican Sicilian.
01:00Yo, and it's saying this thing has some of the craziest hunting abilities.
01:04Oh my gosh, I just got to test this.
01:07In order to see its special abilities, I quickly built this dude up a home.
01:10Google told me to use a bunch of moist dirt to make a deep floor area so the worm snake
01:15thing can dig around.
01:16Then, I put some natural decorations around.
01:18And finally, these Sicilian creatures sometimes can be fully aquatic in the wild.
01:23But in captivity, all we need is this nice little water dish to fill its water needs.
01:27Well, boy, let me get you in.
01:29Now, apparently, these things do have poisonous skin, which is why I'm using a snake hook.
01:32And well, now he's in there.
01:33Let's see his special abilities he has.
01:36Now, these guys' first special ability is, well, they love to dig in dirt like I was saying earlier.
01:41You can see how quickly he just completely disappeared from sight.
01:44And well, while this guy settles into his new home, I just had to find some videos of this species
01:49hunting.
01:49And in this amazing video by Willipede, we can see how this Sicilian just slowly inches up to a mealworm,
01:56acting all innocent and stuff.
01:57But the second he gets within striking distance, it pounces onto the worm and instantly starts to drag it underground,
02:05where we can then see it finish off the mealworm down there.
02:08But the thing is, this Sicilian hunting is not even nearly the coolest thing in this video.
02:12Like, what does the world's longest snake even eat?
02:15Well, to find out, let's go to our next snake, which is 250 times more expensive.
02:21And I specifically chose this species because it has an insanely unique special ability that I just have to test.
02:27If you're wondering what species is inside this container, well, everyone, this is a Western hognose snake.
02:33And yep, it actually costed exactly $250.
02:35The prices in this video are not a lie.
02:38But anyways, these things are freaky, because the patterns on their back almost look identical to the patterns on a
02:44rattlesnake.
02:44It has almost the same color, too.
02:46But the main characteristic that makes this thing stand out is its nose.
02:49That, well, kind of makes it look like a hog, apparently.
02:52Hence why they are called a hog-nosed snake.
02:55Pretty creative.
02:56Now anyways, this thing is actually a real snake, unlike the $1 one.
03:00But that means we got to build another enclosure.
03:03Oh yeah, that was a pretty cool transition.
03:04But anyways, this will let us show off its special ability.
03:06Now for the floor, we want to use a material called snake aspen, which is perfect for a $250 snake.
03:12Because it's super easy to dig and burrow through.
03:14Which, yeah, in the wild, these guys apparently like to do to stay protected from the intense desert heat.
03:19Then, we want to add tons of decorations, like the snake hide, so the snake can slither inside.
03:23And yeah, even though this enclosure looks pretty barren and empty, that's exactly what the snake species prefers, so it
03:29can slither around a ton.
03:30So yeah, basically, the reason I wanted to get this species is because they're the drama queens of the snake
03:35world.
03:35They basically put on this crazy show to scare off any predator that gets near them.
03:40But yeah, this guy was just non-stop pissing at me, if you listen closely.
03:44So, I decided to pick him up with tweezers and moved him to the new enclosure.
03:48Okay, there we go.
03:49Jeez Louise, you are a feisty fellow, Mr. Snake.
03:52But the thing is, I didn't even get to show off its cruelest special ability yet.
03:56Let me try and do that.
03:57Unfortunately though, before I could show you that, the snake decided it was time to go for a little burrow.
04:01Yep, like I said earlier, this is something they do to hide from the intense desert heats.
04:05This is not their main ability though, but it's just kind of cool to see that they can do this
04:08like our first one.
04:09And yes, I actually do have a heat lamp that will recreate the desert heat.
04:12I just don't have it set up right now, because it makes it easier to film without the roof on.
04:15Anyways, I dug up the snake so I could show you guys its special ability.
04:19First of all, why don't you take a look at his head?
04:21If you look very closely, this snake's head has actually gotten like two times as big as it was before.
04:26They're actually able to puff out their cheeks when a potential predator is nearby to mimic a rattlesnake's head shape.
04:32It's also sort of similar to how cobras make their neck come out to look bigger.
04:36But the main thing this snake does to not get eaten is it actually plays dead.
04:39So while the snake slithered to darkness so he would feel safe, take a look at this footage of when
04:43this guy went up to a wild western hognose snake and he started to put his hands near it.
04:48Almost instantly, the snake decided to play dead, so it flipped on its back and started to give the funniest
04:53performance I've ever seen.
04:57And eventually, it just stopped moving completely, and when this dude went to pick it up, you could see how
05:01good of an actor it is.
05:03It's so funny too, because every time he would flip the snake right side up, it would just flip back
05:07upside down instantly.
05:08Yo, shout out to Nicole Berry, he's the one who uploaded this, and he has tons of other videos like
05:12this.
05:13Anyways, I quickly finished setting up everything in his tank and gave him a little water bowl too.
05:17As a reward for scaring it a little bit while I was moving it, I gave it a nice juicy
05:21mouse.
05:21Yeah, pretty cool to watch these guys eat. They'll eat about one of these a week during this stage of
05:25life.
05:26But remember guys, this video is just getting started.
05:28I have so many other questions, like do $100,000 two-headed snakes fight over their food?
05:34Well, we're about to find out, so next up, let's see what a $500 snake looks like.
05:39Now, we're getting pricey, but it's for a very good reason, as you'll see.
05:42Yeah, this snake was kind of just shipped in this bag. I feel kind of bad for it.
05:45Let me get this out really quickly.
05:47Inside of this bag is a special kind of snake called a Woma Python, and he was not happy about
05:52being in that shipping bag.
05:53He kept trying to strike at me through the glass, but you could see how beautiful this species is with
05:57that striped tan and orange color.
06:00Okay, the reason I got this guy for the $500 species is because they're known for being one of the
06:04friendliest snake species.
06:06But this guy has tried to strike at me, um, a lot.
06:10But yeah, I guess he's just super stressed from the shipping.
06:12Obviously, I don't want this guy to be stressed or angry at me, so I put this box over the
06:16top to give him some nice darkness.
06:17And I went and put him in a secluded and warm part of my house while I built his home.
06:22Now, I'm just gonna speedrun this build in order to not bore you guys.
06:24But yeah, it's basically the same as that last enclosure, only this time I put way more wood and branches
06:29so the python would have some area to climb over.
06:31And these guys can get big, so that's why this enclosure is pretty massive.
06:34Anyways, I got the snake right here. Let's give a check on him.
06:37How are you doing in there? And okay, if you don't know what the brown stuff on the floor is,
06:44well, it might be poo.
06:45But no, that's actually a super good sign, because if you didn't know when the snakes are in their shipping
06:49containers, they don't go to the bathroom at all.
06:51But the fact he's just let it all out means he feels a lot warmer and safer now.
06:54And that's good. I'm happy you're feeling a little bit better, buddy.
06:57And to make sure he felt even safer, I went and moved him into the enclosure.
07:00I still didn't really feel comfortable enough to hold him based off how much he wanted me dead.
07:04But yeah, pretty simple stuff. And he went to go slither to safety.
07:06He was definitely starting to feel less stressed.
07:09All right, the main reason I wanted to get the friendliest snake species in the world is because, as many
07:13of you know, my mom is, like, scared of all the pets I get.
07:16So I was thinking this was going to help her cure her pure snakes.
07:18But little is she going to know, when we try to feed it, this guy, he's not so friendly right
07:23now.
07:23All right, mom, can you come in the garage?
07:26Hi, I just got a new pet to show you today.
07:28Okay.
07:29So why don't you come over here and just take a look in this tank and tell me what you
07:31see.
07:32Oh my gosh.
07:34What kind of snake is this?
07:35Oh, that's called a woma python.
07:37And I wanted to get this species because it is the friendliest species in the world, actually.
07:42Yeah, right. It looks like it's crazy.
07:44Like, it's just going to strike any second.
07:46Yeah, he is kind of mad right now.
07:48But I want to cure your pure snakes, basically.
07:50So I need you to feed it.
07:52No.
07:53All right, go ahead.
07:54Stick it inside.
07:55Shaking.
07:56All right, this is the first time you fed him too, right?
07:58Yeah, he's super hungry.
07:59That's the main reason why he's so angry right now.
08:01All right, he's coming.
08:01He's coming.
08:02No, no, no.
08:02Come on, eat it.
08:03He looks hungry.
08:04You can see the hunger in his eyes.
08:06Oh my gosh.
08:07Are you scared right now?
08:08Yeah, a little bit.
08:09This is supposed to cure your fear, though.
08:11Make some mouse noises.
08:12Maybe you can trick him.
08:13Oh my gosh.
08:13He's coming right here.
08:29But it looks like he's going to hide in his little hide.
08:31So I don't want to stress him out anymore if he's not that hungry.
08:34So yeah, thanks for trying to feed him, though.
08:35But don't worry.
08:36Literally, as soon as later that day, this snake was feeling way more comfortable.
08:39And he finally started to eat.
08:41Let's go.
08:42This is going to be a sick pet.
08:43But it's not even going to be nearly as cool as our final two snakes.
08:47Yes, sir.
08:48Next up, we got a $25,000 largest snake in the world.
08:54You see, this species is called giant reticulated python.
08:57And they are absurdly big.
08:59And if you can't already tell, I probably don't have enough space right here.
09:03I would literally have to transform my whole garage into an enclosure.
09:06That's why instead, to be able to see and learn about a $25,000 snake,
09:10I hopped on a plane and flew across the country to this amazing reptile zoo
09:14that supposedly has one of these insane snakes.
09:18Yo, what's up?
09:18I just traveled across the country because I heard you guys got some of the craziest snakes here.
09:23Is that true?
09:24Oh my gosh, you got to show me.
09:25Okay, you want to see her?
09:26Yeah, let's go.
09:27All right, let's go.
09:27So I followed her across the zoo.
09:29And this place was crazy.
09:30They had animals everywhere, including literal alligators.
09:34Oh my gosh, what am I getting myself into?
09:36But eventually, I got to this area here and waited while she brought out the $25,000 snake.
09:41Oh my gosh.
09:44This thing is insane.
09:46Yes, this is the giant reticulated python.
09:49An absolute beast of a snake.
09:51And honestly, I was kind of even scared to stand near it.
09:53This thing could easily take me out if it wanted to.
09:55This is actually just kind of crazy to stand by.
09:58I can just touch it.
09:58Like, this is bigger than my hand.
10:00What?
10:00So how long can this species kind of get?
10:03I mean, like, is this like the longest species in the world?
10:05Um, yeah.
10:06So they, in the wild, have been measured up to 30 feet.
10:09Yup, imagine being outside and just seeing a snake over 30 feet long.
10:13I would instantly run away.
10:16But before we figure out the exact length of this specific snake, I wanted to try and hold it.
10:20But if you couldn't guess, it was insanely hard to do with just one hand because of this snake weighing
10:25a minimum of 150 pounds.
10:27But despite its massive size, you could tell the snake was being extremely friendly towards us and not biting us
10:33or anything.
10:34Very interesting.
10:35So how long does it take for one of these snakes to get this long?
10:38Uh, it depends on how you feed them.
10:39Um, but normally about 7 to 10 years, something like that.
10:41So, wow.
10:42This thing is 10 years old.
10:43And how small do they start?
10:45I mean, do you have like an egg or something?
10:46Like, we can show how it hatched?
10:48I actually do.
10:48Do you want to see it?
10:49Yeah, let's go see it.
10:50Okay, let's go see it.
10:50So, she brought me over here where they have tons of these trays full of eggs.
10:54Yeah, they keep them in these containers to make sure they have the perfect level of heat to hatch.
10:58Yeah, she showed me what one of them looked like.
11:00And it's just insane how a snake can hatch out of something like this.
11:04Then eventually one day be this big.
11:06That's a massive size increase.
11:08So, yeah, what do they eat to get this big?
11:10Well, I don't know if you're going to want to hear it.
11:11They eat about a 10 pound rabbit.
11:13So, they eat giant rabbits.
11:15Like, how big would it be?
11:16Like, can you show with your hands?
11:17Um, it'd be like, it's a big size rabbit.
11:19Oh.
11:19Nah.
11:19So, they really just slither around in the wild looking for innocent little rabbits.
11:23And then they pounce on it and absolutely devour it.
11:27Yeah, rest in peace to any rabbits that see snakes like this.
11:30You see, what makes this species so good at hunting is they literally have these built-in heat sensors on
11:35their face.
11:36All of these tiny little holes on the upper lip of the python can track exactly where a live prey
11:41is.
11:41It basically just gives them wall hacks to see rabbits amongst tall, thick grass.
11:45And this snake compared to everyday objects is pretty cool.
11:47Because here it is next to a massive spray bottle.
11:50It is so much bigger.
11:51Then here it is next to a water bottle.
11:54Yep, pretty big.
11:54And of course, here it is next to the Terra Green Snake Plushie.
11:57Which even though this awesome snake plushie is a whopping 36 inches long,
12:01even when this python is completely curled up, it kind of dwarfs the size of the plushie.
12:05But yeah, this thing curled up, it's approximately 56 inches long, but fully stretched out.
12:10This thing easily reaches over 20 feet.
12:13This is so cool.
12:14But the craziest thing is, I've heard this is not even your guys' rarest snake, is it?
12:19Oh, nowhere near.
12:20Oh my gosh.
12:22Can you show me it?
12:22Yeah.
12:23Okay, so I'm gonna go over here.
12:24Yup.
12:24The $100,000 snake is also located at this reptile zoo.
12:28And guys, it's the two-headed snake.
12:31There's only a handful of two-headed snakes in existence, and this zoo doesn't only just
12:35have one or two.
12:37They have three two-headed snakes.
12:39So I waited here for her to bring out one for me to see.
12:42Wow, wait.
12:43So this is the two-headed snake you guys have, right?
12:46This is the two-headed snake.
12:47Oh my gosh.
12:48You're not gonna bite me, right?
12:49Nah, I don't know.
12:50Oh!
12:51Yep, literally instantly, this snake tried to bite me, which is kind of a surprise,
12:54because this specific snake actually knows me.
12:57About a year ago, I visited the guy who originally hatched this snake,
13:01and I made a whole video about it.
13:02But this zoo literally bought it from him, and a lot has changed about this snake.
13:06And I'm gonna show you guys some very interesting stuff.
13:08So the thing that's so interesting about these two-headed snakes is they have, like,
13:12two different personalities.
13:13Is that right?
13:14They can't very much.
13:15There's usually a dominant and a non-dominant.
13:17And we can see how that was instantly demonstrated with this left-dominant head
13:20literally just pulling the right head along as it just sat there.
13:24But super interestingly, sometimes the two heads will almost fight in which direction
13:28they want to go, which causes the two-headed snake to just sit there,
13:31motionless, not moving at all.
13:32And here is some footage I recorded last year of this two-headed snake eating some mice.
13:36As you can see, both the heads struck at the mice at the same time,
13:39but only the left head was actually able to grab onto his mouse.
13:42And as that left head started to swallow,
13:44all of a sudden the right head decided to just grab onto,
13:47so now they were both eating the same mouse.
13:49But this could actually be bad for two-headed snakes,
13:51so the owner separated the heads,
13:53and he gave a separate mouse to the right head so they could both eat in peace.
13:57Pretty cool.
13:57Anyways, as you can see, this two-headed snake is quite a bit smaller
14:00than the Terra Green snake plushie,
14:02which by the way is just the perfect plushie if you're an animal lover
14:05because it's long enough to play with and, you know, just wrap around random stuff.
14:08Check it out on TerraGreenStore.com.
14:10Well, dang, this snake is actually probably the coolest one I've ever seen in my life,
14:14I'm not even gonna lie.
14:15Thank you so much for showing me around and showing me these awesome snakes.
14:18And yep, remember guys, go check out the snake plushie
14:20since if you watched the whole video, you probably love snakes.
14:22And also, thank you to the Reptile Zoo for letting me come here.
14:25You guys can see all these snakes in person, plus more if you come visit them.
14:28Anyways, yeah, thank you for watching, and goodbye.
