01:22And I love their work and what you contribute to our craft.
01:26And this ride has been unbelievable.
01:29So thank you for welcoming me in and making me feel seen, bro.
01:34And y'all know how I feel about y'all.
01:39I remember, y'all want to thank SAG-AFTRA.
01:41I remember as a kid in this industry and you had to earn your vouchers to become a member of
01:49SAG.
01:50And I remember, you know, I thought it was this, you know, this club, this club that I want to
01:55be in so bad, but you had to get, you know, vouchers.
01:57And depending on how many lines you had in an episode or a show would determine, you know, if you
02:02got that membership card or not.
02:06And I remember watching all the other actors that I looked up to being a part of that club, being
02:11a part of SAG-AFTRA, being a part of this community.
02:13And I was like, man, I want to be that one day.
02:15So I remember when I got my SAG-AFTRA card, I was like, man, I'm like an entry level member.
02:21And those guys that were on stage with the awards and the nice suits, talking, being in fancy places like
02:27that, that's what I always wanted.
02:29And that kid from Newark, New Jersey is standing here right now.
02:35Mom, thank you for driving me back and forth to New York when we didn't have enough money to go
02:39through the Holland Tunnel.
02:40When we were looking for gas money, parking spaces, you know what I'm saying?
02:45When I went up there for my auditions, thank you.
02:49I want to thank you to Ryan Coogler for giving me the opportunity to show what I can do and
02:57to be fearless
02:58and to create a safe space for us to find the truth, what you do with all the other actors
03:03that we had an opportunity to work with.
03:06Woonmi, Miles, Delroy, Haley, Jamie, Lili, Omar, everybody that had something to do with this movie.
03:15You guys lent us your talents and you lent us your time and your vulnerability.
03:18So thank you for allowing me to do my best work.
03:21And, man, just being in this room right now with all these people who see me grow up in front
03:26of the camera and in these rooms.
03:27And I feel the love and support that you've always given me and encouraged me to go on and do
03:31my best.
03:32So just want to say thank you. And yeah, man, it's pretty cool.
