00:00Overnight here in the UAE, there was a constant barrage of attacks across Dubai and also Abu Dhabi.
00:07The main passenger hub, Terminal 3 at DXB, was hit by a drone, resulting in that to be evacuated.
00:14In fact, the airport was hit by a second attack in the early hours of this morning,
00:20with black-billowing smoke rising up above the city.
00:23In addition, Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi was also hit last night.
00:30That resulted in the death of one person and four others were seriously injured.
00:35Across the city here in Dubai, there were many iconic sites.
00:39The Burj al-Arab Hotel was also hit and a fire broke out there.
00:43People were evacuated but moved in shortly after that got under control.
00:47And in addition, Jebel Alley Port also suffered from falling debris, resulting in a fire that went on until the
00:55early hours today.
00:56Now, what we're really seeing is a sense of uneasy calm across the city with residents and obviously all those
01:03tourists who are stranded here.
01:05Last night, many made their way and evacuated down to the basement garages in their buildings.
01:11We saw scenes of mattresses being laid out where people could try and get some sleep in between the explosions
01:18that we were hearing overhead.
01:20Now, the Ministry of Defence have announced some statistics today and told us that the UAE has successfully dealt with
01:27and destroyed 136 ballistic missiles,
01:31as well as 209 fighter jets that were headed towards the UAE territory.
01:37Now, it doesn't seem like anything is going to calm down very soon.
01:40We've had a constant barrage throughout the day of explosions overhead, but people are remaining pretty vigilant still, waiting to
01:48see what happens next.
