00:08about 15 minutes ago.
00:09As passengers boarded, alerts started to appear on mobile phones, reporting of new drone and missile activity in the region.
00:17The aircraft pushed back on time and taxied towards the runway, and literally, just as we were about to take
00:22off, the plane was turned around.
00:24The pilot informed passengers that operations in Dubai had instructed the flight to return to the gate.
00:30To keep you updated as the situation evolves, I do apologise, and I'm sure you do appreciate the ever-changing
00:39nature of the situation down there at the moment.
00:42So, back to the gate for us, I'll be back in touch as we go on stands. Thanks for your
00:46understanding and your patience, and I'll talk to you soon.
00:50Now, speaking to other passengers on this plane, there are no concerns around safety.
00:55In fact, many UAE residents appoint to the track record of authorities there in maintaining their safety.
01:00And it's clear that safety also remains a top priority for Emirates, and this is kind of being treated as
01:06a precautionary operational decision in line with standard procedures.
01:10But as passengers, lots are frustrated. They obviously want to get there, and we wait while the airline continues to
01:17monitor developments.
01:18We'll see you soon.
