Jets coach ahead of F3 derby
Transcript
00:00Given where both teams are, you've won eight in a row and the Mariners, I think, have beaten in five
00:04and have won three.
00:04Is this potentially shaping as one of the biggest derbies in quite a while?
00:09Yeah.
00:10I don't know if it's new to you, but I mean...
00:11Yeah, well, look, I think we had a fantastic showing in round one from our supporters
00:16and I have no doubt they'll make that trip down again on Saturday.
00:20And as you say, the Mariners are in good form as well.
00:23So, look, derbies are exciting.
00:25We want as many people there as possible and we want to put on a good show.
00:29But does that... I know it was a long time ago round one, but does that still linger and hurt
00:33a bit?
00:33Just the way that went from potentially winning with a penalty to conceding one?
00:37You know, there's a real range of emotions there.
00:40Yeah, it was a range of emotions, wasn't it? It was madness in the end.
00:42But, yeah, of course, you know, obviously we know how much derbies mean and how much derbies mean to the
00:48fans.
00:48And like I said, they got one over us early on and, you know, there's been a lot of water
00:52under the bridge since then for both teams.
00:55So, look, it's important, again, that, yes, whilst it's a derby, we don't lose focus on what our goals are
01:01and our goals are to continue to be a better team.
01:03And this is a fantastic challenge for us because, you know, we know, obviously, of their qualities as a football
01:09team.
01:10But as well, we know that, you know, at the moment they're very determined and they seem like a galvanised
01:15group.
01:15So it's going to be a very good test, both mentally and from a footballing perspective.
