00:00Everyone's just kind of talking about all the stuff going on in this book.
00:02So he knows Lisa Rinna is the story of the week and the month.
00:04Well, he does know that.
00:05He does know that.
00:06Because a lot of people, there is another part of the book where you talk about one of your former
00:11co-stars talking to you kind of because it was after you left Housewives.
00:14And they're like, I want to leave.
00:16They're not treating me right.
00:17They're paying me less.
00:18And you were like, really like, do this.
00:20You do this.
00:20Yeah.
00:21And they went running back.
00:22You know, it's really hard to leave this franchise for many reasons.
00:27I mean, I ended up staying eight years.
00:29I can understand, you know, you have a paycheck.
00:32Maybe it's the first thing you've done and you don't have maybe anything to fall back on or maybe you're
00:37going through a divorce or maybe, you know, your life has just blown up.
00:41There's certain reasons why you want to stay and collect a paycheck.
00:44So I completely understand it.
00:46But when somebody comes and really wants to go, I try to show them that there is life outside and
00:53you can succeed.
00:55And actually, once I left, I started to work more and I made more money than when I was there.
01:01Literally.
01:01So, but people don't trust that.
01:03Yeah.
01:03One of the things that you talk about in the book that I find so interesting is that just the
01:07budget for wardrobe alone.
01:09Like, you're not really making any money because you're spending so much money on your clothing, on your glam, everything.
01:15But another fun factoid in this book, Lisa Rinna, is that I think for your first five reunions, you wore
01:20Victoria Beckham.
01:21I did.
01:21You're a big fan of her designs.
01:22Was it five of them?
01:23I think you said, I think it was five.
01:25I think it is five.
01:25The first one we returned and we regret returning it.
01:27But we kept...
01:28The white one.
01:29Yes.
01:29We returned.
01:30How could I even do that?
01:32Like, I didn't have enough money at the time.
01:34Isn't that crazy?
01:34Because like, the optics are, you're on Beverly Hills Housewives.
01:37You're the richest person on the planet.
01:38But that is wild.
01:40I mean, those dresses were expensive.
01:41Oh my God, I'm sure.
01:42I mean, that's two grand a dress.
01:43And at the time, I just didn't have it.
01:45And yeah, you're not supposed to, you know, wear stuff and return them.
01:48But I did.
01:49But you also explained that it's tough for designers to want to get on board with loaning pieces for Housewives
01:54because the environment is so toxic and they don't necessarily want to be associated with, you know, wine glasses throwing
01:59and all that.
02:00And tables flipping.
02:02And such.
02:03But speaking of Victoria Beckham, and because you have a famous family in the spotlight, I was...
02:07And you ride for your family.
02:08And you ride for your family.
02:09Do you have any thoughts on this Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz drama that continues to play out?
02:14Do you have any advice for Victoria?
02:16No, but I am so saddened by it because there is nothing more tragic than that.
02:21I have great empathy for all of that.
02:25That is what I have to say.
02:26And that has to be just so hard on all of them.
02:28Yeah.
02:29And it's just because it kind of like, now that all the family members are also playing around on social
02:33media with it too, it just gets worse and worse.
02:35And you want to just be like, you don't get the time back.
02:37You don't get the time back.
02:39Hopefully, and I do believe this is true, they will all come back together.
02:43It's a moment.
02:44It's a very sad moment.
02:47And anytime I see it, I mean, I get chills because, you know, imagine.
02:51Like, that's your child.
02:53No matter what, family is everything and they will come back together.
02:57I truly believe that and hope that for them.
02:59I have hope because, I mean, you talk about your daughter so lovingly in the book, Amelia and Delilah, who
03:04are absolutely incredible.
03:05My absolute everything.
03:07And you can tell that when you read Lisa Rinna's book, like, you just, you're obsessed with your husband, you're
03:11obsessed with your daughters.
03:12Like, you mentioned family is everything.
03:14And they also, I feel like, in recent years, post-Lisa leaving Housewives, have also thrived in ways that maybe
03:21none of y'all ever thought would be possible.
03:22I mean, they are killing it.
03:24They really are.
03:24And they work really hard.
03:25I think there was a bit of a black cloud over me for a while.
03:30And I think that that can affect the entire family dynamic.
03:34And I think that once I got myself out of that situation, the cloud lifted for all of us.
03:41Yeah.
03:42I really believe that.
03:43And so now with the cloud lifted, is there a chance, any chance you would ever return?
03:49You're done.
03:50You've closed that chapter.
03:51I've closed that chapter.
03:52Wow.
03:52Yeah.
03:52You feel good about it.
03:53Of course.
03:54Okay.
03:54Also, especially because I feel your fans, after watching you, like, on the Traders, which I don't even want to
03:59talk about.
03:59You can just put Lisa Rinna on any TV show.
04:02Right.
04:02And it's the best TV show.
04:03Right.
04:03You don't need to be on Housewife anymore.
04:05Just put me on a new show.
04:06Oh, you were so good on Traders and Rob for f***ing that up because you deserve to be there way
04:13longer.
04:13And also Colton.
04:15Colton and Rob came together and they, it was like.
04:18They got me.
04:19They did, which was so unfortunate.
04:21They got me, but then Jam Jam was the final nail.
04:23I mean, once he screamed my name with such conviction, even though it was wrong.
04:27Yeah.
04:27It was the amulet, not the kiss.
04:29Right.
04:29Like, I just giggled because I was like, okay, it's over for me.
04:33There was no way.
04:35He was so, his conviction was so intense.
04:40I was going.
04:41And it was kind of one of those moments, like, when I knew that you were going to be the
04:44one with the pen.
04:44I was like, oh, this is not going to end well, but I know it's going to end iconically.
04:46Well, that's why I did it.
04:48Like, I knew I was taking the risk.
04:50I knew I should probably have let Rob do it because he should have done everything.
04:55But I knew the outfit.
04:57I knew I'd get the most attention and the drama.
05:01And I picked that over winning.
05:03Oh, and also, that kind of makes you the winner because we feel the two winners of the show are
05:08you and another person we love so much, Candace.
05:10I agree.
05:11Like, the stars of the show.
05:12I agree.
05:13I mean, I think everybody has their moments, and I love, but I do think I would add Mara to
05:18that, too.
05:18Oh, she's amazing.
05:19I think Mara and Rob, I think the four of us were the stars of the show.
05:24And I love everyone else, and everyone else had great moments, but I think the four of us are really
05:28who drove the show.
05:30Oh, absolutely.
05:31I think everybody should agree on that.
05:32I think there were tree traders.
05:35I'm thinking there were tree traders.
05:37I love her so much.
05:38She is one of my favorite people.
05:39Like, I made such good friends on this show, and I didn't expect that.
05:44And how does it really, like, you're like, oh, my God, you can do reality TV and leave with friends.
05:47You're like, and people aren't going against you.
05:48Like, what a surprise.
05:51And they actually liked me.
05:52And those people were nice to me, and I was nice to them, and it turned out great.
05:56Like, crazy.
05:57I love that.
05:57Do you feel like you moved through the situation differently than you did?
06:00Like, obviously, you've had housewives under your belt, and you could pull from, I guess, that arsenal of tricks, I
06:08suppose.
06:09How many housewives tricks do you feel like you've, like, did, when housewife Rinna came to the scene when Colton
06:14asked her to come, like, was she present prior?
06:17Do you feel like?
06:18No, you know, listen, housewife Rinna hadn't been around for three years.
06:21Yeah.
06:21So I came into doing traders as my authentic self.
06:25I said, I'm going to be me.
06:27I don't have to, I'm not reactionary because I don't have people coming for me.
06:31I mean, a lot of housewives is about the reaction of what's coming at you.
06:37And you just figure it out, and you do what you have to do.
06:41This was a different situation.
06:42So I was going to go in as me, and then all of a sudden, as me as a trader
06:46is even more complicated.
06:48So it's a fine line of, are you quiet?
06:51Are you loud?
06:51I mean, you have to figure that out.
06:53And I already had, like, a mark on me because I was a housewife.
06:59I'm a villain in a sense.
07:01So a trader, that looks really obvious.
07:04But maybe not.
07:05But maybe it's a double bluff.
07:07So people were already looking at me.
07:09Do you know what I mean?
07:09Were you surprised when Colton asked you to bring that housewife energy?
07:13Were you surprised that he wanted that?
07:15Because I feel like as someone who's seen housewives and know how you can be, I don't want to be.
07:19I don't want that.
07:19Like, I don't want that smoke.
07:20I don't think he saw, I think that he heard maybe about me being a housewife.
07:25I'm not sure he ever saw it.
07:27Oh, did he see it at the reunion?
07:28Yes.
07:29Oh, my God.
07:29A little bit.
07:30No, I have to set this straight.
07:32The reunion is mild compared to any housewife reunion.
07:38It is so freaking mild.
07:40Yeah.
07:40It's entertaining.
07:41It's fun.
07:42But I will tell you that I asked questions in a way that I would ask questions at a reunion.
07:49But so did everybody else.
07:50Yes.
07:51Okay.
07:51How did it feel for you going back?
07:52You're like, I'm doing another reunion hosted by Andy Cohen.
07:55Well, how about this?
07:56I walk in and I see that I'm sitting right next to him.
08:00And I was like, wait, why am I in the hot seat?
08:02I didn't do anything.
08:03I'm clean.
08:04And then I was like, oh, well, fine.
08:06It'll be fine.
08:07Because you were the star of the show.
08:08Yes.
08:09I mean, how are things with Andy today?
08:10Because, I mean, you talk about-
08:12The gleeful book burning.
08:13The gleeful book burning in this book.
08:15Chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
08:16You call him shady for including the personal text messages that he included in his book.
08:21I mean, how are things with him today?
08:23Well, they're good.
08:24What I will tell you is we had a very nice moment at the reunion.
08:28He knows this.
08:30You know, I wasn't going to go on his show without him knowing that I threw his book in the
08:33fireplace.
08:36We had a very nice moment that means the world to me.
08:42And that's all I'm going to say about it.
08:44But we're good.
08:46Okay, good.
08:46Good.
08:47I do love that.
08:47And then he also recently is like making amends with Kathy, who recently did one of your talks
08:51on the book.
08:52I love that everyone's just kind of like getting along now.
08:55Well, I mean, I think in this world right now, it's so crazy.
08:58I think that you've got to look back and say, you know, where can I clean up my side of
09:02the street?
09:03And, you know, I always did that on Housewives, too.
09:05No matter what went down, I always went to that person and tried to work through it and
09:11fix it.
09:12Some of them accepted it and some of them didn't.
09:14And that's all you can do.
09:15Yeah.
09:16You know, I try to clean up my side of the street because I don't want to live with that
09:19baggage.
09:20Yeah.
09:20I don't want to run into someone and have this weird drama.
09:24It's ugly.
09:25And what I also, I mean, I always admired what you did on Housewives where you're like,
09:29you don't spend the time talking about everybody behind the back.
09:31You're like, I'm going to say it to your face.
09:32Yeah.
09:32And then we can work through it.
09:34And everyone's kind of just like, versus I'm like, everyone's thinking it.
09:37Well, yeah.
09:38I mean, that's just the way I went about it.
09:40You know, some people liked it.
09:41Some people didn't.
09:42Do you know what I also love?
09:43Speaking of Housewives, when you went that one Bravo Con where you got booed, we were there
09:48for it, we heard about it was such a crazy moment and experience.
09:50And I love the way you reacted with like the finger and like, ah, but it was because you
09:54were a fan of wrestling when you were a kid and you were channeling your inner wrestling
09:58villain diva.
09:59Summer slam.
09:59Like, that is amazing.
10:01That is, I didn't know that about you.
10:03Well, not, not the surprise thing.
10:06You know, I grew up in such a small town in Medford, Oregon and the, the armory, they
10:10would have wrestling, you know, wrestling would come to town.
10:13It was a big deal.
10:15Yeah.
10:15So I loved it.
10:16And I always thought, you know, the villains are the ones that are the most beloved.
10:21So I wasn't so thrown by that, you know, sports fans cheer and boo.
10:27But I guess in that world, it was a big deal.
10:29And I also feel kind of, cause like a through line through this book, I mean, we were kind
10:32of talking about it.
10:33Like your family love is so strong that I feel because you had that, you were very unshakable.
10:38You're like, okay, everyone can boo me on stage, but I'm going home to my home.
10:41Well, I will say that that saved me.
10:43And that's what helped me through those eight years.
10:44You know, Harry was so supportive and, and really there to help me through it.
10:50And he did.
10:50And same with the girls, you know, like my family is so strong and I have a good support
10:55system.
10:56That is why we're still married and I'm still here.
10:59I think I really do.
11:00You're always going to be here.
11:01You're Lisa and you were at Lisa and Renna before housewives and two things that happened
11:06before housewives, two things that Danny and I really, really love.
11:09We love the depends commercial, which you talk about.
11:11We talk about it all the time.
11:12Do you?
11:13Yes.
11:13And we talk about you as an M&M and that you also mentioned that in this book.
11:17If you were to sort of, what is more iconic?
11:20Lisa Renna's depends commercial or Lisa Renna as an orange M&M?
11:24Lisa Renna as an orange M&M is really as iconic as it gets.
11:28But the fact that I did it 15 years ago and all of a sudden it came to life a
11:34year ago.
11:35That's what I don't understand.
11:37Like who found it?
11:38Who brought it back?
11:40And also, I mean, well, cause we always, cause library, we don't have that many breaks.
11:43So I'm like, I need my Renna depends.
11:44You should still be getting residuals.
11:46I'm like Renna's so much better off than us right now.
11:49We talk about it all the time.
11:51Hilarious.
11:52We still reference it.
11:53Hilarious.
11:53I don't know, cause obviously, I don't know if you're tapped into all the other Housewives franchises.
11:58A little bit.
11:59Stacey from Potomac, her QVC goes viral.
12:01You are a QVC icon yourself.
12:03I am.
12:04I was the first.
12:04I ran so Stacey could walk.
12:06Yeah.
12:07And also you.
12:07Or walked so Stacey could run.
12:09Which one?
12:09No, I ran so Stacey could walk.
12:10And also you talking about the jeans to the blind woman.
12:12Oh my God.
12:13My guys.
12:14That clip is incredible.
12:16You guys.
12:17That was, and again, how do these clips then get running?
12:21I'm not like.
12:21I, all of a sudden, my daughter sent me that and I was like, oh my God, I remember when
12:27it happened.
12:28And you know, those moments on QVC are always answering phone calls, but that one I did not
12:32expect.
12:33Yeah.
12:33You just got to roll up the punches.
12:34Yeah.
12:34I just, oh my God.
12:36I mean, I've had some moments.
12:38You really have so many moments, which you talk about.
12:40Oh my God.
12:40And you better believe I'm going to talk about it.
12:42Lisa Rinna, I was just telling you, I'm, I'm not fully done yet.
12:45I have a few more chapters to go, but I'm going to be absolutely devastated when I'm finished
12:49because this has been the most enjoyable read in a long time.
12:53And my friend is doing the audio book that you do yourself.
12:55And they say that's kind of like, they're like, do whichever one you want, but like the
12:58audio book apparently is hitting.
13:00I have never done an audio book because when I did my last book in 2008, which is like a
13:05long time ago, they weren't doing audio books.
13:08So I was so excited to do this.
13:11Audio books are hard by the way, because then you have to live it, read it and live it and
13:15make it come to life.
13:17So you don't sound like an idiot.
13:18Right.
13:18I can do that.
13:19It's you.
13:20Well, I hope I did a good job.
13:21I need to listen to it just to see what it sounds like.
13:24I haven't heard it.
13:25Oh, really?
13:25Yeah.
13:26You do it.
13:26How long did it take to record?
13:28Three days scheduled for four, but I got it done.
13:31Oh, she's efficient.
13:33Hard though.
13:34Very challenging.
13:35Oh my God.
13:36I'm sure.
13:36And cause I think it was just like fan fiction dreaming of this happening of a trader's
13:41all-star, would that be, if that did happen or like if we willpower Peacock to do it,
13:46I mean, would you love to do it?
13:47I mean, the thing is, it's hard for me to say no to anything, as you know, I would be
13:52completely murdered, killed.
13:53Those all-star traders, people are so much better and vicious than I ever could be.
14:00I'd be out in two seconds, but you know, you get paid no matter what all the way through
14:05first or last.
14:06So I probably would do it.
14:07Okay.
14:07That's a dream.
14:08And then if they get rid of me first, I still get my check, so.
14:11Oh, you got a fun little trip to Scotland.
14:12There you go.
14:13I mean, I probably would do it, cause how fun.
14:15And I think it would be fun to, I mean, you were amazing as a trader, but it would be
14:18kind
14:18of fun to see you operate as a faithful, just to see how you would do.
14:21Oh my God.
14:22Can you imagine me as a faithful?
14:23I feel like I could.
14:25I don't know.
14:25I feel like, no, I think you'd be good.
14:26I think you could like galvanize a group of people.
14:29I honestly really think you'd be great.
14:30It would be nice to see the difference because you know, as traders, you work at least three
14:35hours extra a day.
14:38So, you know, I think more men, if I had less, I had less mental capacity at that point, I
14:44would have more mental capacity probably as a faithful.
14:47Oh, right.
14:48Yeah.
14:48It's an easier.
14:49And also when you figure out who a trader is like to just like, you know, push their
14:52buttons.
14:52That would be fun.
14:53That would be fun.
14:54That was the one thing with the traders.
14:56You and Candace, of course, being on the trader side, I'm like, oh, they can't operate
14:59fully at a round table cause you have to be on guard.
15:02Yes.
15:03Yeah.
15:03You guys could just release your inhibition.
15:04Well then if I was a faithful, I would have been much more vocal at the round table.
15:09I can tell you that as a trader, you have to be so careful cause the vocal ones are the
15:12ones that go first.
15:13So I, Candace was great at how she was vocal.
15:18I just couldn't have done that.
15:19Yeah.
15:20I had to be careful cause I know my mouth and it would have given me away.
15:23I know my mouth.
15:24The most iconic mouth in Hollywood.
15:26It really is.
15:27And that's why we are so happy that from your mouth to God's ears to the page.
15:30Yes.
15:31You better believe I'm going to talk about it as I'm out.
15:33Lisa Rinna, thank you so much.
15:34It's such a pleasure to finally meet you guys.
15:35Thank you so much.
15:38We're going to take a break.
