00:00Now it's a sit down with Nate Barghese. Hi, Nate. You have a new game show, The Greatest Average
00:05American. Not only are you hosting, but you co-created it. Are you a big game show guy?
00:10You know, I mean, I like game shows. I don't know if I was a giant game show. Like, you
00:16know,
00:16I like them, I think like everybody else. I just like creating things that are, and I really wanted
00:21to involve an audience. I wanted to make something for people to watch. You know,
00:26doing stand up. I love doing shows to be in front of people and to create things and be fun
00:30and funny
00:31and silly. And, you know, I had this idea kind of pop in my head. And then I got with
00:36John Quinn and
00:37who's created a lot of game shows. And so it just kind of went rolling from there.
00:43Who reads the encyclopedia? I read it every day.
00:47You've stated that you're stepping away from stand up to focus on the silver screen. Plus,
00:51you have this game show and an amusement park in the horizon. You're doing a lot.
00:56Yes. I like experience. I love, I think you learn the most from experience. So I kind of want to
01:03dabble in everything, like create all these kinds of things. So I've been there and I've done that.
01:08And then, so I think of it as the older I get and, you know, I'm not quitting stand up
01:12right now.
01:13And I, there's good, I have this tour, we're doing another tour, like, but you know,
01:17there's going to be a point where it's going to get hard to travel on the road. And, uh,
01:21as we're creating so much stuff and making these movies and then the net, I want to go help find
01:26the next generation of comedians or actors or whoever, anybody to create writers, all of this.
01:32And I at least want to be able to stand there and tell them that I have done what they're,
01:37what I'm asking them to do. Makes it look so easy, but it's so hard.
01:42What is one way you keep your daughter Harper average, AKA a normal kiddo?
01:47Well, I don't read in front of her. That's a big one. And then we, you know, big part,
01:55I moved back to Nashville, uh, you know, about 10 years ago and I wasn't, I was doing comedy. I
02:00wasn't, obviously I wasn't where I'm at right now. And I mean, her grandfather is a magician. So,
02:06so as average as it can be, but we live in a great neighborhood. We're in a cul-de-sac.
02:12It's
02:12no one's, uh, really an entertainment that's in there. It's, uh, people that have regular jobs and,
02:18you know, are friends. And so every, everything she's around now is kind of like, she's not around
02:25this. She knows I do it. I have her with my specials introduced me. She's sees sites of it. Uh,
02:32but overall, you know, she's going to school and I specifically moved home
02:38for her for that. I wanted her not to just be involved around kind of, uh, all this. And then,
02:47and then if she ever wanted to do it, it's like on her own, it's her call.
02:50Okay. To end the show, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock, promote anything you want.
02:55Ready? Go.
02:56We have the greatest as American and then we have the movie, the breadwinner going to come out later.
03:01Uh, hopefully I get to continue to make more stuff.
03:05Nate, thank you so much for dropping by today. Yeah. Thank you so much.
