00:04The End
00:13My name is Alec Newman and I play Cliff.
00:16My name is Stuart Scudamore and I voice the part of Unca.
00:21My name is Rebecca Hanson and I play Damian.
00:27I suppose I never told you why I'm on the run today.
00:30So Damian is, she's very down to earth, a fierce fighter and headstrong.
00:39She will stand up for what she believes in regardless of who is telling her otherwise.
00:45I can be willful but I am naturally conflict avoidant.
00:50And so getting to like channel that side of myself into her was an absolute joy.
00:57Unca, yes he is.
01:00I see him as a, well he is a nomadic warrior.
01:04I think he has a passion for everything that is fighting for the cause,
01:10for his people, for his tribe and for the Greymates.
01:14First impressions, you're thinking what can I bring to the table that I can connect?
01:19How can, what's, what's the in?
01:21His DNA was very economical.
01:23It's what you bring to the table and what they're offering, what the team are offering as well.
01:28And then you, you take off into the world that is a crimson desert and that wonderful story.
01:38With the character of the Orc particularly, you're asked to give it a very bestial, very feisty, very bombastic, lower
01:48class postal code with regard to the delivery.
01:51But with Unca, what changed and what surprised me was that he was more of a philosophical Orc, educated if
02:00you like.
02:01He had that sort of world wise nomadic element.
02:04Yeah.
02:05Do you know that rousing element still?
02:07Yeah.
02:07Yeah.
02:08Okay.
02:09Okay.
02:10Prepare yourselves, to take back what was stolen, for our fallen brothers.
02:23Show no mercy.
02:26And what I found challenging for Unca is that he often communicated in grunt.
02:33But it was finding those, those levels of grunt.
02:38But finding that was challenging.
02:46Beautiful.
02:50Some of my favorite moments recording for Cliff are when they just press record and let me try and match,
02:58you know, the sound for the fight sequences.
03:01Your words reek of deceit, witch.
03:09Are you all right?
03:12Aye.
03:13He's fiercely loyal.
03:15And, you know, he has a really strong moral compass.
03:19He knows what's right and wrong.
03:22Is your life worth so little?
03:24I've no interest in your story.
03:27There's no denying that he's very stoic.
03:30He is a man of few words.
03:34You could be forgiven for thinking that he's kind of, you know, a closed book.
03:38But when you meet him with other characters, particularly his greymanes, his people, you begin to see him open out
03:46as a character a little bit.
03:48There was a particular family member.
03:51Almost immediately I kind of leant into his voice and instantly in the room people responded.
04:00It seemed to just fit.
04:01The combat in the game, which we'll maybe talk about in a minute, which is absolutely astonishing.
04:06I've never seen anything like it.
04:08And having done some combat with broadswords and other weapons that appear in this game, there is a kind of
04:15imagination route into that element of cliff.
04:21You.
04:21You Yes.
04:33There are an invasion of war.
