00:07Hi everyone, it's Mark from Square Glade Games. Today we want to share a little bit
00:12about how Outbound grew into what we've started calling a cozy Fievel game.
00:18When we first set out on this journey, we knew we loved road trips, exploration and
00:24those quiet little moments that make a world feel alive. But at the same time, we also
00:29knew what we didn't want, a game where survival meant grinding, struggling or being punished
00:35for not keeping up. For us, Outbound was always meant to feel like a safe place, a game that
00:44lets you breathe, one where every step of the journey feels rewarding, whether you're upgrading
00:50your van, wandering on foot or just stopping to watch the sunset. That's where the heart
00:58of cozy Fievel comes in. You can forage, gather and cook at your own pace, discovering new
01:04recipes as you go. Outbound is not meant to be a hard survival game, so when you run out
01:10of health, you'll faint and simply wake up back in your van.
01:16You can upgrade your van to go higher, faster or carry more. Most importantly, the challenges
01:24in Outbound are based on overcoming an obstacle, rather than grinding to progress further.
01:31The world is open to you from the start. While there might be some places where you have to
01:36put your thinking cap on to figure out the way forward, you can still do it at your own
01:41pace. We didn't want players to feel like they're checking off chores or racing against hunger
01:48meters. Instead, we wanted every moment to be an invitation to explore at your own pace,
01:54in your own way. From the earliest Kickstarter backers to everyone who shared ideas with us,
02:01the message has been clear. This game should feel like a road trip you never want to end.
02:08Not because it's hard to survive and you must keep going, but because it feels good just to
02:14be in it. That's the core of CozyVival for us. A balance between survival and comfort. Between
02:22the excitement of the road ahead and the quiet joy of knowing you don't have to rush.
02:30We can't wait for you to experience that journey for yourself. Thanks for being with us as we
02:35continue building Outbound. See you on the road!
02:44Outbound.
