00:00There was a special operation between JPJ and MACC, which resulted that the arrest of some tontos.
00:12Tontos are informants and these are the people who actually the bridge in between companies which want to fraud the
00:22law and JPJ officials.
00:25So these tontos are usually employed by companies to get information or sometimes to harass our enforcement officers.
00:36So yesterday there was an arrest and of course there are a couple of JPJ officials were arrested too.
00:45Firstly I want to say that this is something which the Ministry of Transport fully support.
00:50We fully endorse the operation. In fact the Director General have prepared for this and they have discussed with me
01:01and that's it.
01:01We want to make it definitely go ahead proceed with the operations and we try to tackle this problem.
01:09Because we know that you know some of our information will always take out.
01:17For example our enforcement of enforcement operations on overweight especially will always take out.
01:26We know for certain in a few states the operators will know beforehand when operations will be conducted.
01:35That's why sometimes when the enforcement starts the operation they came back empty handed.
01:41They cannot catch anyone. They will not be able to to to to enforce or not able to catch companies
01:49or RORI's with overload.
01:51Okay because they know beforehand there will be enforcement.
01:55These are the serious integrity issue within JPJ.
02:00We look at it very seriously and definitely we support this action and we want to clean up JPJ.
02:09We want to ensure that we tackle this problem and that will help in terms of not only raising the
02:16integrity of JPJ but making our enforcement more effective.
