00:00One of the things you see in the pilot is that, you know, J.D. hasn't been a teacher in

00:04you can see how good he is at it and how much he misses it. And whereas Cox is such
00:09a tough love
00:10kind of teacher that doesn't really work. And as we learned from researching, he's not really
00:14allowed anymore. And he's sort of burnt out. He's like a dinosaur. And then you see J.D. and then
00:20he clocks J.D. helping the interns and being able to to actually speak to them and them liking him.
00:27And that's when he goes, this should be you doing this. I'm too old. The line is they
00:35need someone to do for them what I did for you. And I think that's sort of one of the
00:40main
00:40themes of the first season.
