00:00:00Dr Martin, Alan Ruff, Alec Ray and Tammy McManus are with me. We're sponsored by Cameron Commercial Vehicles.
00:00:05If you go on to their websites and you're looking for a quality new and used van, then Sean Germain,
00:00:10he will help you out.
00:00:12Lots to talk about. What a weekend in the Scottish Premiership and the Be Me headlines are well worthy of
00:00:19getting involved in.
00:00:20If you want to download the Be Me app, it's your AI twin to help your small local business.
00:00:25If you are away working anywhere, then the app can take all your calls. You'll never miss a booking.
00:00:31Hearts extend their advantage at the top, but the injury worries increase for Derek McManus.
00:00:36Rangers denied a stonewall penalty as they slip up at Livingston. Do you agree with that?
00:00:41Trustees Red gives Hibbs the edge at Celtic Park.
00:00:44St Mirren will appeal Richard King's red card.
00:00:47We ask the question, is Callum Slattery guilty of deception?
00:00:51And Gianluca Pristiani is suspended by UEFA, the Benfica player, in a bit of trouble.
00:00:57One game suspension as the investigation goes on.
00:01:00So, there you have it. Lots of things to talk about.
00:01:04And at the end of it all, you just cannot work out, Ruffy, where this is going.
00:01:08Suddenly, Hearts extend their advantage.
00:01:11Yeah, I mean, the weekend, well, we spoke on Friday about the games, and I think the predictions were up
00:01:17in the air.
00:01:17You know, we're not wearing it.
00:01:19I mean, Hearts went about their business, doing the duty.
00:01:22But again, you know, we always used to talk about Rangers maybe playing a Saturday, Celtic playing a Sunday, or
00:01:28vice versa.
00:01:29And the one, whoever plays on the Saturday, puts a wee bit of pressure on the other ones.
00:01:33Hearts are getting the Saturday games now, and you're looking at it now going,
00:01:36and are Rangers and Celtic standing up to be counted with the pressure that they're putting on,
00:01:42just with getting three points.
00:01:43There is not a single pundit that I can think of, journalist, anybody who is looking at this,
00:01:50and able to second-guess the way it's going, because it goes, you sit with authority on the Friday,
00:01:57and by the time you get to the Monday, you're made look like a fool.
00:02:00Yeah, it's just a rollercoaster of a season, isn't it?
00:02:02I mean, you can't really pick a winner at the minute.
00:02:04You know, I thought Hearts were out it when Rangers beat them.
00:02:06I thought they'll crumble, they'll come back with a good result.
00:02:09The Rangers drop two points away to one of the worst teams in Premiership history.
00:02:13Celtic get beat at home for the Habs.
00:02:16You're looking at Hearts' next four fixtures, they play four of the bottom six.
00:02:19They've got an opportunity before they play Motherwell.
00:02:22Is that enough to see them over the line?
00:02:24I think if they take 12 points out of the next 12, I think they'll win the league.
00:02:26I think it's in their own hands.
00:02:28And I'm now starting to get very, very, very, very nervous.
00:02:34I keep trying to Jonah them to try and say it, and it doesn't work.
00:02:37No, I just need to fancy them.
00:02:38Put money on them.
00:02:39You've got a certainty, a hustle in the league, certainty, stick on.
00:02:41Get your money on them.
00:02:42Well, to be honest with you, I've put out a point of view thing today,
00:02:48you know, as well, obviously, to give your thoughts over the weekend,
00:02:50just as another additional bonus to our YouTube.
00:02:53And he's going, I'm not watching it.
00:02:55And now you've come out with that, I feel great now.
00:02:57So your jambos, and by the way, as you know, Alec, full jambos kit.
00:03:02Oh, yeah.
00:03:03We must have the socks and shorts already ordered, no?
00:03:05I've got the socks and shorts now, the whole show.
00:03:07I think now you should be wearing them before the end.
00:03:10Why?
00:03:10He's already said, it's done and dusted the one.
00:03:13Why are we waiting until the end of the season?
00:03:15Let's get it on now.
00:03:15Some of the bookmakers actually sometimes pay out, but by the way, I like you.
00:03:18You can't pay, but I just think it's in hearts and hands.
00:03:21Paddy Pillars just paid out, yeah, yeah, Tam said.
00:03:24I like you, Scott.
00:03:25Good to have you back with us, Hugh.
00:03:26I haven't actually read out some of your stuff in a while.
00:03:28He says, afternoon, Peter, Tam, Alec and Ruffey.
00:03:31What a season this has been.
00:03:32More twists and turns than a twisty, turny thing.
00:03:36And that sums it up perfectly.
00:03:37It's in hearts and hands.
00:03:38Hands now, look at the next four games, and they've got four of the bottom six,
00:03:41two games at home.
00:03:42They've got a real opportunity.
00:03:43Celtic are playing Rangers at the weekend.
00:03:44Then Mullow are playing Dundee United.
00:03:47They could be not the backsides of one of the old firm as well.
00:03:49So, you know, if you're asking me for a winner now,
00:03:52I could change it again if hearts don't beat Aberdeen at the weekend.
00:03:54Do you think the injury list could potentially be a thing?
00:03:58Possibly for hearts, but I think they could get Shankland and Devlin back soon.
00:04:02I'm going to read you that injury list in a minute,
00:04:03but the thing about it is, when you're looking for players, Alec,
00:04:08that slowly but surely have worked hard in the background.
00:04:11Islam, Chesnikov, Derek McInnes has highlighted,
00:04:13that this boy has worked hard.
00:04:15He gets a lovely chance.
00:04:17Topo into the back of the net,
00:04:18and suddenly the players that they've brought in are contributing
00:04:23and making a difference.
00:04:24Maybe not Matto, but that guy there.
00:04:26I think when you look at the highlights of the game,
00:04:30I think it's a lovely little ball by Kesaridis,
00:04:33and he just catches the defender wrong-footed.
00:04:37And then Chesnikov's finish is lovely because it's just he hits it nice and early
00:04:40and the keeper's kind of beaten, rooted to the spot.
00:04:43So it was an important three points to bounce back on the back of the Rangers.
00:04:47What about your question about the injuries?
00:04:48Finlay, Beningamy, Ajew, Shanklin, Devlin, Kingsley?
00:04:53Yeah, I genuinely think it would be difficult for them to carry that injury list.
00:04:57Now, whether they get one or two back, that would be a bonus for Derek.
00:05:00But I think the longer the list,
00:05:02because it looked as if Big Finlay had pulled his hamstring.
00:05:04I thought it looked dangerous, didn't it?
00:05:05And when you're looking at that, you think to yourself,
00:05:08right, okay, what grade, automatically you think what grade is.
00:05:10It's a 1c or something, maybe 10 to 14 days or two,
00:05:15maybe 2 to 4 weeks is it more severe.
00:05:18But obviously the quicker you can get these guys back and injury-free,
00:05:22because you've obviously mentioned they highlighted the guys that they've brought in.
00:05:25Yes.
00:05:25And they've actually done really well.
00:05:26If you think Braga and Kesaridis and then Chesnikov for the other side,
00:05:31they've all done and contributed to what I think is most important.
00:05:34But there seems to be a backbone.
00:05:36Yeah, Leonard come in and nobody's mentioned Devlin.
00:05:38Seamless.
00:05:39And I'm going to go as far as to say he's actually a bit more better on the ball than
00:05:43Devlin.
00:05:43I think Devlin rats better him,
00:05:45but I think he's actually more composed on the ball.
00:05:47I think he's more of a creator.
00:05:49So I'll be interested to see when Devlin and him come back.
00:05:52And then you've obviously got Beningame, who's cool, composed,
00:05:55likes to manipulate the ball as well.
00:05:56So they've got a raft of players as well.
00:05:58It's a big squad of players that Del's accumulated there.
00:06:02And they've clearly got a winning strategy when you look over the course of the season.
00:06:06But it's four defeats all season, which is fabulous for them.
00:06:10The good thing about it as well, I mean, Tam's right, they've got four games coming up.
00:06:14But in the opposite end of that, these teams are all fighting for their life now.
00:06:17Scrapping.
00:06:17You know, Comarno are picking up points.
00:06:20Dundee are picking up points.
00:06:21Livingston are putting in a bit of a battle as well.
00:06:24So I don't think these games will be as easy as what they think they're going to be.
00:06:27And I think the Livingston game proves that.
00:06:30There's not going to be any easy games from now to the end.
00:06:33Well, let's not forget, Falkirk had chances in the first half time.
00:06:36And Falkirk are a team that can derail people as well.
00:06:39Yeah, they did.
00:06:40I thought they were the better side in the first half, Peter.
00:06:42And Hearts struggled a little bit.
00:06:43But the longer it goes, we've seen that against Hibs.
00:06:46You know, Hearts are not scared they're winning ugly.
00:06:48And that's the sign of a good championship winning team.
00:06:50You know, they're winning games, won nothing at home.
00:06:52They're keeping clean sheets.
00:06:53They're going, right, listen, we've got an opportunity somewhere.
00:06:55Just keep the clean sheet and we'll get another win here.
00:06:58So, yeah, I think the next four games will determine everything for Hearts.
00:07:02I think if they can go and take 12 points out of it,
00:07:03I think they'll be a fairly substantial way clear.
00:07:06They've got a variation of goals throughout the team as well.
00:07:09When you think about, you know, Braga, Cazeridas, Shanks.
00:07:12And then also, I think they'll lead the goal scoring from set pieces as well.
00:07:17So that's a real bonus because it can make a difference.
00:07:20The other thing about it,
00:07:21football is not something that has changed drastically over the years,
00:07:25as you well know, Alec.
00:07:27Is in Scotland at the moment,
00:07:29I think we've got some of the best, you know,
00:07:32players in a wide position.
00:07:34For a long time.
00:07:36Who are throwing the ball in dangerously.
00:07:38I mean, Cadden ball in for the goal.
00:07:40Tremendous.
00:07:41Tierney's ball in for Negrin.
00:07:43Harry Milne puts in a fantastic ball.
00:07:45The boy Congreve up at Dundee as well.
00:07:49Tammany put one in along that kind of theme.
00:07:52Wider guys, yeah.
00:07:53Put good balls in.
00:07:54So, I mean, we've got great supply.
00:07:56Get balls into box.
00:07:57Get centre forwards in there.
00:07:59Obviously, we'll talk about Chvanchara's sitter as well.
00:08:03There's so much to talk about.
00:08:04So, we've done the hearts.
00:08:05They're out in front.
00:08:07Your man here has tipped them to win the league.
00:08:09There's no stopping them.
00:08:10So, that's fantastic news.
00:08:12He's laid his...
00:08:13Well, Ruffy, he's put his head out there.
00:08:15He's done his neck out there.
00:08:15Yeah, I think the hearts have won it now.
00:08:16I think if they can keep them nerve the next four games.
00:08:19It's the other way when Rangers beat them 4-2.
00:08:21I know, but this is what I'm saying to you.
00:08:23This is what this guy does, Barry.
00:08:24He puts his cell out there.
00:08:25He'll be shot down.
00:08:25Exactly.
00:08:26This is the thing about it.
00:08:27He's like a wind cockerel, Ruffy.
00:08:29Just...
00:08:30He's never deemed to come down and put a performance on him.
00:08:32It's not the first day he's been called a cockerel.
00:08:35Exactly.
00:08:36And there'll be a few on here.
00:08:37And by the way, William, who's a jambo, says,
00:08:39listen, we've got cover in abundance.
00:08:41Relax.
00:08:42William, I love your confidence on this.
00:08:45Bob says it's heart's title to lose.
00:08:47So, Bob's made a nice statement to start out with, Ruffy.
00:08:50And then Bob usually just leathers one of us within the next 30 minutes
00:08:54if we come out with a mad statement.
00:08:56So, I'm going to say it now.
00:08:57I'll throw it up in the air.
00:08:58You disagree with me.
00:09:00Livingston 2, Rangers 2, Mikey Moore.
00:09:03Stonewall penalty for me, and I thought Kerr should have walked.
00:09:06Not for me, no.
00:09:08No?
00:09:08I thought he should have walked.
00:09:09I thought it was a red card.
00:09:11Just about to pull the trigger.
00:09:13It's right on the line.
00:09:15Yeah.
00:09:15Initial contact is outside the box.
00:09:17Hold on.
00:09:18What are you going for?
00:09:18I'm going for red card, free kick.
00:09:22Well, do you know what the interesting thing about it is?
00:09:23Not even look to it.
00:09:24Not even go and have a look at it.
00:09:26Yeah.
00:09:27Well, so see the thing is, it was a wee bit conflicting in the information,
00:09:31the rules yesterday, which I was getting interpreted.
00:09:34And one was that the initial contact is outside the box,
00:09:37which is potentially right.
00:09:39Then I read something this morning saying that if that's a secondary contact
00:09:42in the box, then it then becomes a penalty.
00:09:45So, it was a wee bit conflicted about the actual overall rule.
00:09:49If they don't give a penalty and they deem it to be outside the box,
00:09:53then you can't tell me that when he has set his cell up lovely for the right foot,
00:09:59because he's just, it's like touch, hit,
00:10:02the covering defender is not getting round to block that.
00:10:05So, what we can agree, as my interpretation is,
00:10:09he's most certainly going to get a shot on goal.
00:10:11So, at that stage, that becomes a goal scoring opportunity.
00:10:15Yep.
00:10:15And for them not to look at that was the icing on the cake on refereeing decisions
00:10:21at the weekend.
00:10:24Now, Alec and I are the same.
00:10:26Did you think it was a penalty?
00:10:28My initial reaction, lifetime, without seeing any replays,
00:10:32I went, it's a stonewall penalty.
00:10:33And again, the referee's in decent enough position and literally gives no decision.
00:10:38So, that would suggest to me that they're waiting for the VAR to bail them out
00:10:43so they're not making decisions in real time.
00:10:45But they didn't bail them out.
00:10:47No, but what I'm saying is, so I'm talking about in real time,
00:10:51the referee goes, ooh, I've not made a decision here.
00:10:54So, he makes no decision.
00:10:55So, then he's looking for reinforcements and some sort of decision.
00:11:00And to say that that's not a dog's o'
00:11:04when we have looked at guys that have literally stepped two metres
00:11:07into the, over the halfway line,
00:11:09and they have 50 yards to go to go,
00:11:12and they're deeming that to be a goal-scoring opportunity is beyond me.
00:11:16That's a good shout, actually.
00:11:17That's a very good point you make.
00:11:19And I'm talking about over the last week and consistency,
00:11:22because we're going to get to another penalty.
00:11:23Is it the case if he doesn't give the yellow card,
00:11:26then VAR don't look at it?
00:11:28No, no, no, no.
00:11:29Have VAR got to give a yellow card?
00:11:30Is the referee got to give a yellow card before VAR chip in?
00:11:34VAR can look at that and go, that's a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:11:37And then what they would do is they would call him to the monitor,
00:11:40which he didn't even do.
00:11:41And then they would say, recommend that they have a look
00:11:45to see if there's a potential dog's o' within that kind of...
00:11:49Didn't give a fill, did they?
00:11:50Didn't give anything?
00:11:51No, nothing.
00:11:51Play on.
00:11:52But what I'm saying is,
00:11:54they've not even given the option to come and look and say,
00:11:56is that a goal-scoring option?
00:11:57So the two guys in there,
00:11:59whereas there's other VAR officials, A-VAR,
00:12:03are saying, when you step two metres at the end of that table there,
00:12:07into the opposition having,
00:12:08you have to run 50 yards to where the goal line is,
00:12:13that they're saying, oh, that's a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:12:15But the guy setting teeny-cell up beautifully
00:12:17to get a shot away is not as beyond me.
00:12:19You're talking about Aberdeen-Motherwell in midweek.
00:12:21Classic situation.
00:12:22But you've seen it a couple of times.
00:12:23I've seen it with Falkirk two weeks ago.
00:12:25Is it Henderson?
00:12:26The boy Henderson, I think it was,
00:12:28made the tackle just two yards in his own half.
00:12:31And the trusty one as well.
00:12:32So what I'm saying is,
00:12:34there's three scenarios where they're saying,
00:12:36you've got to run 45 yards to get a shot off,
00:12:39yet when the guy's 18 yards from goals,
00:12:41they don't deem it to be a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:12:43Three or four different camera angles.
00:12:45I still thought he was on the line.
00:12:46On the line is a penalty.
00:12:48But nevertheless, it's all about opinions.
00:12:51Do you think it's a penalty?
00:12:51No, it's not a penalty.
00:12:52It's outside the box.
00:12:53I thought it was a red card and a free kick.
00:12:56I think they should have went and looked at it
00:12:58and went, right, he's getting shot away.
00:12:59It's a free kick and a red card.
00:13:00The reason they should have went and had a look at it
00:13:02because the first time you saw it,
00:13:04it looked like a good tackle.
00:13:06You know?
00:13:07And then if you look at it again,
00:13:08it's no.
00:13:08No.
00:13:09And I thought it saved him.
00:13:10No, you know what?
00:13:12And I thought it saved him.
00:13:13The referee,
00:13:14I mean, let's put ourselves on the referee's
00:13:17view of it.
00:13:18He's behind it.
00:13:19Yeah.
00:13:20He would see that leg going in.
00:13:21He's not far away from it, Ruffey.
00:13:22Yeah, but he would see the leg going in
00:13:23and so he's obviously,
00:13:25he kind of made his mind up.
00:13:26So that's, as Alex said,
00:13:27Vars should come in and say,
00:13:28hey, let me help you.
00:13:29I think that's why Vars is here.
00:13:31You're saying you thought he got,
00:13:32you thought he swept it away
00:13:33and he got a touch on it.
00:13:34I'm looking at him good.
00:13:35That's a penalty.
00:13:36Stonewaller, I thought right away, yeah.
00:13:37No, no.
00:13:38So you're thinking it's on the line.
00:13:40Me and Tam don't think it was on the line.
00:13:41It just shows you how the margins are there.
00:13:44That's why you're looking at Vars.
00:13:47Vars should have been his here going,
00:13:48come now look at that.
00:13:48That could possibly be a red card.
00:13:50Yeah.
00:13:50It's definitely a free kick.
00:13:51And it could possibly be.
00:13:52What he could say,
00:13:53it could be possibly a penalty as well.
00:13:55They're not to give anything,
00:13:56but it's just scandalous.
00:13:57I mean, how can you just say play on?
00:13:59Okay, here's the other thing,
00:14:01Alec, I'm just about to mention to you.
00:14:02I'm sorry,
00:14:03I said it a couple of weeks ago.
00:14:05Rangers can't win the league
00:14:06if you can't beat the team from the bottom.
00:14:08Yeah, well,
00:14:08with 11 players in the bottom.
00:14:09I have to be honest with you,
00:14:10Peter C,
00:14:10yesterday you've said to yourself,
00:14:12you need to be winning them
00:14:13to be winning leagues.
00:14:14And all it does is,
00:14:15and I think when you go back
00:14:16to the last three away games,
00:14:18Hibs, the 0-0 game,
00:14:19they were poor on the day.
00:14:21Didn't really create a great deal.
00:14:23Motherwell,
00:14:23I think they were in a really good position,
00:14:25even though Motherwell played relatively well.
00:14:27I didn't.
00:14:28They tried to,
00:14:29the manager tried to see it out
00:14:30by taking another defender on
00:14:32and then seeing out the match
00:14:34and it kind of backfired.
00:14:35That was another two points dropped.
00:14:36And when you're looking at Livy,
00:14:39I think it's almost 200 days
00:14:41since the last guy I won.
00:14:43August.
00:14:44That's nearly 200 days.
00:14:45August, yeah.
00:14:46So what I'm saying is,
00:14:47you're looking at that
00:14:48and I thought Rangers were really,
00:14:51really wasteful yesterday.
00:14:53I thought they were shelling balls in.
00:14:54I didn't think they'd get in
00:14:56behind the back three often enough.
00:14:58They were shooting from distance
00:14:59and you're thinking,
00:15:00oh, it's bread and butter.
00:15:01Lovely.
00:15:01You know,
00:15:02because it's so congested.
00:15:03And I didn't think they worked
00:15:04the opportunities well enough.
00:15:06Set back,
00:15:07and then the CrossFit Avenue,
00:15:08which is,
00:15:08you know,
00:15:09you're moving the angle of the ball
00:15:10and people moving in the box.
00:15:11I just didn't think
00:15:13they'd craft it at the top end.
00:15:14And at one stage,
00:15:15I'm thinking,
00:15:15well,
00:15:15we'll do it with Nicker Point
00:15:16out of this
00:15:16because it looked as if
00:15:17they'd run out of ideas
00:15:18and it results in Fernandes
00:15:20hitting a wonderful strike
00:15:21just to kind of change
00:15:22the dynamic of it all.
00:15:24Like they played two strikers
00:15:25against Hearts
00:15:25and then they went back to...
00:15:26I don't know if you know this,
00:15:28Nadee,
00:15:28they hadn't trained all week.
00:15:29Right, okay.
00:15:29And basically,
00:15:30we can now get 20,
00:15:3130 minutes at them.
00:15:32So that's the idea
00:15:34because I think
00:15:35he would have went with the two,
00:15:35especially against
00:15:36the three big monsters up front.
00:15:38Yeah, okay.
00:15:38On that point then,
00:15:40you've got to acknowledge also,
00:15:41although they didn't do
00:15:43what you wanted them to do,
00:15:45the boy Jerome Pryor had a worldie.
00:15:47I mean,
00:15:47he made about four or five
00:15:48great saves, didn't he?
00:15:49I think on another day,
00:15:51Rangers won that four or five too.
00:15:53I just think the goalkeeper
00:15:54had one of those days.
00:15:54He was outstanding.
00:15:55Rangers switched off
00:15:56a couple of set pieces,
00:15:57which he can't do.
00:15:58But second half,
00:15:58Rangers absolutely battered,
00:16:00battered Livingston.
00:16:01You know,
00:16:01and Alex Wright,
00:16:02they just weren't clinical enough
00:16:03in front of the goal.
00:16:04I think if they got that
00:16:05second goal a wee bit earlier,
00:16:06I think they'd win the game.
00:16:07But yeah,
00:16:08it's...
00:16:09It's close to two points,
00:16:09whatever way you look at it.
00:16:10It's the last three away games.
00:16:11You know,
00:16:12it's Hibbs away,
00:16:12Motherwell away,
00:16:13and then Limickson away.
00:16:14You've not won a game.
00:16:15So that's no championship winning form.
00:16:17They've been strong at Ibrox this season,
00:16:18well,
00:16:18under Danny Roll.
00:16:19But away from home,
00:16:21you've still got to question
00:16:21their mentality
00:16:22when winning games
00:16:23they should be winning.
00:16:23Yeah,
00:16:23I don't think they're good enough
00:16:28losing them.
00:16:29There's more misery ahead.
00:16:31Any argument with the Red?
00:16:33Eh,
00:16:34no.
00:16:34No,
00:16:35no,
00:16:35no,
00:16:35right.
00:16:35I think that's pretty clear cut.
00:16:37Yep.
00:16:38And right at the death,
00:16:39as you said,
00:16:40good ball in,
00:16:41flick from Mikey Moorer,
00:16:422-2.
00:16:44Now,
00:16:44again,
00:16:45I'm going to say this to you.
00:16:46I don't know what the boy May was doing.
00:16:47If I was the boy May,
00:16:48man,
00:16:49Jesus.
00:16:49Yeah.
00:16:50He's a way of light,
00:16:51just...
00:16:52Put your foot through
00:16:52and clear the decks.
00:16:53I'm going to say this to you.
00:16:55This is funny,
00:16:56because last week,
00:16:58we're on here,
00:16:59the feed alone,
00:17:00the engagement
00:17:01on our social media channels,
00:17:03the engagement everywhere
00:17:04about
00:17:06additional time
00:17:07added on.
00:17:08Don't worry about it this week.
00:17:10Oh,
00:17:10I'll tell you,
00:17:10I was looking at it,
00:17:11I'm sitting...
00:17:12I thought I was just
00:17:12keeping playing
00:17:12to the Rangers squad.
00:17:14I was watching a live band
00:17:16and I thought the floodlights
00:17:17were going to come on.
00:17:18Well,
00:17:18honestly...
00:17:18The Rangers games
00:17:19are going to be alone.
00:17:20At one point,
00:17:21at one point on the feed
00:17:22it goes,
00:17:2390 plus 13
00:17:24and I'm going,
00:17:25oh,
00:17:26fuck it.
00:17:29I'm just waiting
00:17:30for the third goal,
00:17:31Roppy.
00:17:32By the way,
00:17:34I mean...
00:17:34Imagine if Rangers had won.
00:17:36Oh,
00:17:37they have to sell it.
00:17:37Do you know
00:17:38the interesting thing
00:17:39about it as well?
00:17:40There's qualms
00:17:41by people on social media
00:17:43that they didn't play
00:17:43enough time
00:17:44because of the
00:17:44four minutes delay.
00:17:46Yeah.
00:17:46You know,
00:17:46to come to,
00:17:48oh,
00:17:48it's a goal kick.
00:17:49Alec,
00:17:50by the time
00:17:51this show's finished,
00:17:52there will be somebody
00:17:54forensically looking
00:17:55through the whole game
00:17:56because that person
00:17:58is not going out
00:17:59to a club.
00:17:59Did you see the guy
00:17:59doing it for
00:18:00Camargo Celtic?
00:18:01Exactly,
00:18:02yes.
00:18:02Head knocked
00:18:03and this,
00:18:03this was down
00:18:04for 38 seconds
00:18:05and the next one
00:18:06the ball was out of play
00:18:06for a bad kick
00:18:07that was 21 seconds
00:18:08and they tired it off.
00:18:09And that guy
00:18:10also was in silence
00:18:11I've done that.
00:18:12I've done that.
00:18:13No, I've done that.
00:18:13What?
00:18:14Have you?
00:18:14No, I'm serious.
00:18:15Do you know
00:18:15when you,
00:18:16after a game
00:18:16and you go,
00:18:18how long we playing?
00:18:19Two minutes.
00:18:20And you go,
00:18:20there's eight subs
00:18:21going on there.
00:18:22And then you go back
00:18:24and then you make
00:18:25a complaint to Willie
00:18:26and he goes like,
00:18:26oh, I could be right.
00:18:28See you later.
00:18:28Do you know
00:18:29who we've been
00:18:29absolutely mental
00:18:30over this,
00:18:31the extra time?
00:18:33Sir Alec Ferguson.
00:18:34Oh.
00:18:34Remember he used to have a watch?
00:18:35Peggy's time?
00:18:36Peggy used to have a watch.
00:18:37He'd be going like that
00:18:38to the referee.
00:18:38Aye, aye, aye.
00:18:39Stop the watch.
00:18:41Honestly.
00:18:41But that's the thing about it.
00:18:43I mean, honestly,
00:18:45the problem is,
00:18:46as we mentioned before,
00:18:47they will constantly
00:18:48look at everything
00:18:49but there's no point
00:18:51in mourning
00:18:52about these things.
00:18:52The overall thing is
00:18:53win games,
00:18:54win titles.
00:18:56And let's move on
00:18:57to the Celtic one.
00:18:59I have to say to you,
00:19:01Ruffey,
00:19:01what in God's name
00:19:03is Austin Trusty doing?
00:19:05Yeah.
00:19:07As we know,
00:19:08every player
00:19:09in your own team
00:19:10has got a breaking point.
00:19:12Some it's because
00:19:14they're not playing
00:19:14particularly well
00:19:15and they're last out.
00:19:17You know,
00:19:17they just lose the plot
00:19:19and A,
00:19:20you lost the plot.
00:19:20It's violent contact.
00:19:22It's a red card.
00:19:23I don't see what the problem is.
00:19:24I've seen the red miss myself
00:19:25at times over the years.
00:19:27I've been guilty of it
00:19:28and I actually encourage
00:19:30people to do
00:19:31what Trusty does
00:19:32in terms of,
00:19:32so assuming somebody's
00:19:33holding you,
00:19:33just get down,
00:19:34bang,
00:19:35just catch you a minute
00:19:35and it's sore.
00:19:37Yeah.
00:19:37But the actual
00:19:39kind of force
00:19:40in which he did it
00:19:41gave him no,
00:19:42you know,
00:19:43he was just so over the top
00:19:45and it's a moment of madness
00:19:46because what ultimately
00:19:47happens is
00:19:47you end up costing your team
00:19:49and then also,
00:19:50I don't know whether
00:19:51they'll contest this Celtic
00:19:54or appeal it.
00:19:55Well,
00:19:55if they're not contesting it
00:19:56and I think Martin and he
00:19:57always kind of
00:19:58afterwards said as much
00:20:01but if you think about,
00:20:02you know,
00:20:03potentially losing them,
00:20:04well,
00:20:04they're going to lose them
00:20:05for the old firm game as well
00:20:06which puts them
00:20:07in a real predicament.
00:20:07They might get
00:20:08the boy from Brentford now
00:20:10suddenly thrown into
00:20:11Come on,
00:20:12I think he's done up to you.
00:20:12I know,
00:20:13I know what you're saying.
00:20:14Debuts in an old firm game
00:20:15is,
00:20:15you know,
00:20:16a recipe
00:20:16sometimes for disaster
00:20:17but the one thing
00:20:18I was going to say to you is
00:20:20for me,
00:20:21it costs Celtic the points.
00:20:23Yeah,
00:20:23I think at that point in the game,
00:20:24you know,
00:20:24you've seen Celtic
00:20:25scoring so many late goals
00:20:26this season.
00:20:27I think they were just starting
00:20:28to get on top of the game.
00:20:30That completely flips it.
00:20:31Hibbs smell,
00:20:32right,
00:20:32we can go and win this now
00:20:33and they start pulling players
00:20:34forward and get the winning goal.
00:20:35So,
00:20:36yeah,
00:20:36that could be a three-pointer.
00:20:37That could really cost Celtic
00:20:39but I don't think anyone
00:20:40could have any qualms
00:20:41about the red card there.
00:20:42I mean,
00:20:42we've all been grappled
00:20:43and grappled.
00:20:43I think the only qualms would be
00:20:45is that there was only
00:20:45five minutes added time.
00:20:53You've got five minutes?
00:20:54I know,
00:20:55I think,
00:20:56you know,
00:20:56I just don't think
00:20:57they'll appeal that either.
00:20:58But you've got to give Hibbs credit.
00:21:00What about the balling from Caddy?
00:21:02it's a great balling
00:21:02for the past Lactis
00:21:04goal of the header.
00:21:05Yeah,
00:21:05it's a brilliant goal.
00:21:06The actual construction,
00:21:08Tam,
00:21:08from the back,
00:21:09playing through the lines,
00:21:09switch your play,
00:21:10out wide,
00:21:11round the face,
00:21:12set,
00:21:12and then just a little
00:21:14slow into the bottom corner.
00:21:15I thought it was a brilliant goal.
00:21:16He's the best crosser
00:21:17of the ball in Scotland.
00:21:18Yeah.
00:21:18By a minute.
00:21:19No,
00:21:20listen,
00:21:20I think he's a terrific player
00:21:21and I think they actually
00:21:22miss him when he's not there as well.
00:21:23They do.
00:21:24Alec,
00:21:24if you're a striker
00:21:25and you want a ball,
00:21:27I mean,
00:21:27I can think of so many people
00:21:28that we've known
00:21:29down through the years,
00:21:30all of us,
00:21:31you're,
00:21:32we're talking about your boy here,
00:21:33you're a striker
00:21:34and you're saying to yourself,
00:21:35where'd they earn my money?
00:21:36You earned your money
00:21:37in the six yard area
00:21:38to the penalty spot.
00:21:39Get in there.
00:21:40He just whips it right in there.
00:21:42You know,
00:21:43very rarely,
00:21:44Tam,
00:21:44will he put one beyond you.
00:21:45No,
00:21:46his delivery's excellent
00:21:47and he doesn't need to beat anybody.
00:21:48It's not as if you're going,
00:21:49okay,
00:21:49he's going to beat him.
00:21:50He just gets a yard
00:21:51and puts it into good areas.
00:21:52Was he the one at the weekend
00:21:53where you were talking about
00:21:54putting it around the face?
00:21:54It was almost as if
00:21:55it was behind the defence.
00:21:56Yeah.
00:21:57He allowed him to set
00:21:58and Smykel's rugged at that point.
00:22:00And,
00:22:00and if you're going to,
00:22:01if you're going to compliment people
00:22:02about crossing,
00:22:04about his performances
00:22:05over a period of time,
00:22:06albeit he gets his usual
00:22:07substitution
00:22:08about 63 minutes,
00:22:09Tierney's ball in for Negrin
00:22:10was equally,
00:22:12you know,
00:22:12a killer ball as well.
00:22:13Yeah,
00:22:14he did a good wee turn as well
00:22:15before he put it in,
00:22:16you know,
00:22:17and that's what he's good at.
00:22:18He's good at getting in that area
00:22:19of the park
00:22:20and just like all good teams,
00:22:22you know,
00:22:22they just flash it across,
00:22:24you know.
00:22:25When you flash it across
00:22:26at pace,
00:22:28if your player doesn't get it,
00:22:29it's going to be a corner.
00:22:30A defender's going to
00:22:31splash it somewhere.
00:22:32So you're going to get
00:22:33the benefit out of it
00:22:34and that's,
00:22:35you can tell.
00:22:36I mean,
00:22:36you do these things
00:22:37during training,
00:22:38during the week,
00:22:38you know,
00:22:39and functions and all that
00:22:40and if,
00:22:40you know,
00:22:41it looks as if Celtic
00:22:41do it quite a lot,
00:22:42obviously,
00:22:42but unfortunately
00:22:43they don't have somebody
00:22:44like Keogh
00:22:45with that wee half a yard,
00:22:47that wee,
00:22:48just that wee getting away
00:22:50from that defender.
00:22:51Chavin Chara,
00:22:52he's three yards out roughly.
00:22:53Yeah,
00:22:53he didn't even hit the target.
00:22:55I know.
00:22:56You know?
00:22:56The other point here,
00:22:58we've had the controversial ones,
00:23:00there's two or three of them,
00:23:00there's another one to come
00:23:02later on,
00:23:03but I thought it was a penalty.
00:23:05What,
00:23:05the trusty one?
00:23:06No,
00:23:06the scales.
00:23:07Sorry,
00:23:08yes,
00:23:08no,
00:23:08no,
00:23:08yeah,
00:23:09yeah,
00:23:09yeah.
00:23:10Consistency,
00:23:10Alec.
00:23:10Yes,
00:23:10well,
00:23:11I'm going to throw
00:23:12something to use as a panel,
00:23:14right,
00:23:14if you don't mind.
00:23:15No.
00:23:15So see when I'm holding a top,
00:23:17I'm holding a top,
00:23:19what is a threshold?
00:23:20So,
00:23:21they sometimes come out and go,
00:23:22yeah,
00:23:22not holding long enough.
00:23:23That's a great point.
00:23:24So I want to know,
00:23:25as a guy in football,
00:23:27what is the threshold?
00:23:28Is it two settings?
00:23:29Is it three settings?
00:23:30Because,
00:23:31are they making it up?
00:23:32Yeah,
00:23:32what's the level of cheating?
00:23:34Well,
00:23:34I'm going to,
00:23:35That's the point,
00:23:35isn't it?
00:23:36I was sat in a referees thing
00:23:37last year with Philippe Clermont,
00:23:40and Clermont thought it was a major issue
00:23:42in the game,
00:23:42because more or less at every set play,
00:23:44somebody will have your top.
00:23:45And you clearly see that kind of motion.
00:23:48And he goes,
00:23:49yeah,
00:23:49but not holding long enough.
00:23:51So,
00:23:52right?
00:23:53Clermont says,
00:23:54why don't you have a zero tolerance?
00:23:56Start dishing out penalties,
00:23:57it will soon change,
00:23:59rapido.
00:24:00Because what you have at the moment is,
00:24:02one referee might go penalty,
00:24:03or VAR officials might go penalty,
00:24:05and then the next group go,
00:24:07oh,
00:24:08let go too soon.
00:24:09So the problem is,
00:24:10we do not have a consistent situation
00:24:12surrounding the pulling of a shirt currently.
00:24:15I thought it was a penalty.
00:24:16Yeah,
00:24:17I thought it was a penalty as well,
00:24:17Peter,
00:24:18and Alex got it spot on there.
00:24:20I think,
00:24:21you're always going to be
00:24:22marting tight in the box,
00:24:23you're always going to be,
00:24:24you know,
00:24:24touch tight with people,
00:24:25that's what your manager wants you to do,
00:24:26that's how you're going to stop goals going in,
00:24:28but,
00:24:29I think if the jersey gets pulled away from him,
00:24:31you know,
00:24:32I can actually see him pulling him like that,
00:24:33I think that's a penalty,
00:24:34and that was the one with Scales.
00:24:35Jambo says Scales is not a penalty,
00:24:37he says he's not getting to the ball,
00:24:38that's irrelevant.
00:24:39Certainly not getting the ball in the eyes,
00:24:41I thought he was.
00:24:42No,
00:24:42but it's irrelevant,
00:24:43if you commit a foul on somebody,
00:24:45if you commit a foul on somebody,
00:24:46It's like elbowing somebody in the face,
00:24:47but you're not getting the ball in the box.
00:24:48I would go further and say,
00:24:50Still a foul?
00:24:50I would go further and say it was denying
00:24:52a goal scoring opportunity,
00:24:54because there was only two of them,
00:24:55it wasn't as if they were in a big crowd,
00:24:58the two of them were,
00:24:59Scales was getting the header,
00:25:00he was getting the header,
00:25:03so that's a goal scoring opportunity.
00:25:05Do you know the thing is,
00:25:06was that someone said,
00:25:08or was it you who says that he wasn't getting
00:25:10to the ball?
00:25:11Well,
00:25:12I would refer these back to the dear Mandy
00:25:14at Camarnock.
00:25:15That's exactly it.
00:25:16So,
00:25:17and this is the bit that I can't get my head around.
00:25:19So see if I'm on the pitch,
00:25:21and something's happening,
00:25:22and I just drag this guy back,
00:25:24that's okay,
00:25:25you're not getting the ball.
00:25:25So everybody's allowed to just drag players,
00:25:28WWF,
00:25:28but what I'm saying is dumb.
00:25:30So they've set the precedent there,
00:25:32and the argument then becomes,
00:25:34he's not getting on the end of the ball.
00:25:35So it's a terrible,
00:25:38interpretation of it,
00:25:39it's just a terrible bar to be,
00:25:40because you're going,
00:25:41it's not getting to the ball.
00:25:42It just allows people to drag people all over the place.
00:25:44Yeah,
00:25:44absolutely.
00:25:45And the other thing about it is,
00:25:46you can tell sometimes,
00:25:48on any programme,
00:25:49when somebody feels,
00:25:51you know,
00:25:51really,
00:25:52really bad about it,
00:25:52because the tone of their voice goes up to high.
00:25:55Can you tell me?
00:25:55Almost soprano there.
00:25:57That's what it is.
00:25:59It annoys me,
00:25:59because there's no consistency.
00:26:01It chops and change on a weekly basis.
00:26:03And that,
00:26:04I think,
00:26:04is what Jambo has mentioned there.
00:26:06Consistency.
00:26:07You want to see that in it.
00:26:09I don't think it's a favourite turn.
00:26:10That's doing a couple of levels.
00:26:11Yeah,
00:26:11I was going to say,
00:26:12any chance you can become a baritone.
00:26:14The other point,
00:26:15I think,
00:26:15that,
00:26:18Brian,
00:26:18who,
00:26:19again,
00:26:19you know,
00:26:20offers his opinion on a regular basis,
00:26:22and we welcome that,
00:26:23says,
00:26:23Peter,
00:26:24the bottom line is,
00:26:24no matter what team you support,
00:26:27most referees and officials are poor.
00:26:30He reckons they don't know the rules,
00:26:32or choose not to know them.
00:26:34I think,
00:26:35Brian,
00:26:36is,
00:26:36a couple of jambos have mentioned there as well,
00:26:38the consistency of decisions,
00:26:40and the interpretation,
00:26:41is wildly erratic,
00:26:43to say the very least,
00:26:44on this one.
00:26:45By the way,
00:26:46and I apologise right now,
00:26:48because,
00:26:49although Celtic were down to 10 men,
00:26:52Hibs went out there,
00:26:54Andrews,
00:26:55lovely curl,
00:26:56gets the point.
00:26:57Lovely touch for Suto,
00:26:58big Suto,
00:26:59you know,
00:26:59he just lays it back to him,
00:27:00and he just curls it into the corner.
00:27:01I like him,
00:27:01Tim.
00:27:02Andrews,
00:27:02what I've seen so far,
00:27:03I thought,
00:27:04no bad.
00:27:04I think he first came out,
00:27:05he might have been against Rangers,
00:27:06I think he came on,
00:27:07as a sub against Rangers.
00:27:07He did,
00:27:07he was bright,
00:27:08wasn't he?
00:27:08He couldn't have done really well,
00:27:09so,
00:27:10Hibs are very,
00:27:11very strong in the middle of the park,
00:27:12the boy Chaiwa.
00:27:12I didn't see the game,
00:27:13I watched the highlights,
00:27:14and my friends were watching it,
00:27:15and they said he was the best player in the park,
00:27:16the boy Chaiwa.
00:27:17Where were you?
00:27:18I was out for my sister-in-law's birthday.
00:27:21Yeah,
00:27:21and I think that really,
00:27:23that's it,
00:27:23that was a straight face.
00:27:24You never told your sister-in-law you were there.
00:27:29Ah, brilliant.
00:27:30That really,
00:27:30really,
00:27:32a lot of people would be complaining now,
00:27:34about the commitment of some of our pundits.
00:27:37Nobody,
00:27:38nobody goes to your sister-in-law's wedding.
00:27:39A satellite didn't get into that pub.
00:27:40This is,
00:27:42surprise you didn't have it on your phone.
00:27:45But,
00:27:45that brings me nicely to the point,
00:27:47I always like to do our quiz,
00:27:50courtesy of Elite Joinery and Fire Protection.
00:27:53Well worth going on to the website,
00:27:55if you need advice,
00:27:57and of course,
00:27:58fire doors for your business.
00:28:00That's the question,
00:28:01who was the last Hibs manager,
00:28:04to win at Celtic Park?
00:28:05Because,
00:28:06it was actually a weekend of first,
00:28:09because Stephen Presley,
00:28:10managed,
00:28:11I went up at Petaudry for the first time,
00:28:13for Dundee in a long,
00:28:14long time.
00:28:15But Hibs,
00:28:16the last manager.
00:28:18It must have been around a bit,
00:28:19Tamsie,
00:28:20that's surely.
00:28:20No.
00:28:21That was after me and Dan O'Gobrace scored the winner.
00:28:23Yeah.
00:28:23So,
00:28:24do you know the answer?
00:28:25I don't know,
00:28:25but it was a period,
00:28:27whilst Hibs were going through,
00:28:29managers lit.
00:28:30Wildfire.
00:28:30Aye.
00:28:31So,
00:28:31I'm going to go for,
00:28:34Colin Calderwood.
00:28:35There's a name,
00:28:36what a name that is,
00:28:37for remembering,
00:28:39some of the Hibs managers.
00:28:40We're going to go for the Irish boy.
00:28:42Pat Fennlin.
00:28:43You going for him?
00:28:44Yeah.
00:28:44I can't think of anybody else.
00:28:46It's nothing about that either.
00:28:48Alec.
00:28:49Frank Sosey.
00:28:50Oh,
00:28:51God,
00:28:51there's a name as well.
00:28:52It's Tams either.
00:28:53Frank Sosey.
00:28:55Okay.
00:28:55I think I may have slightly before,
00:28:57for this,
00:28:57because I think I know the year.
00:28:592010.
00:29:00Was it?
00:29:00Yeah,
00:29:0116 years ago,
00:29:01that's right,
00:29:02yeah.
00:29:02Yeah,
00:29:02so,
00:29:03there you are.
00:29:03Okay,
00:29:03we'll give you the answer at the end,
00:29:05if you want to put in your guess on it.
00:29:07Tams playing the night game.
00:29:10Tams won,
00:29:11I wouldn't have been.
00:29:12He would have come off the bench.
00:29:16I wouldn't have been trying it,
00:29:18Park Geed.
00:29:19So listen,
00:29:20we've,
00:29:22we've,
00:29:22come on Sally.
00:29:24Yeah,
00:29:25we've given you our opinion
00:29:26on some of the big ones,
00:29:27all the,
00:29:28the real hot topics.
00:29:29There's one that I think is coming up,
00:29:31which is really going to test your opinion.
00:29:33I don't know.
00:29:33But,
00:29:34give us your answer to the quiz.
00:29:36Also give us your opinion.
00:29:37We'll try and go through as many as possible
00:29:39with Mick Supatelainen,
00:29:40John Hughes,
00:29:41Alec Miller,
00:29:42Neil Lennon.
00:29:43There's all sorts of,
00:29:45names being thrown up there for the quiz.
00:29:47We'll give you the answer at the end.
00:29:48Now we move on to St Mirren 0,
00:29:50Motherwell 5.
00:29:51Okay,
00:29:52before we talk about the goals
00:29:53and the wonderful play from Motherwell
00:29:54and what the hell is happening at St Mirren,
00:29:57let's cut to the chase.
00:29:59Callum Slattery,
00:30:00did he con the referee?
00:30:02St Mirren are appealing the red of Richard King.
00:30:05Quite rightly so.
00:30:07I think the player was a disgrace.
00:30:09You know,
00:30:09you could see there was a wee,
00:30:10Strong.
00:30:11A wee,
00:30:12Strong opinion.
00:30:13Delay in his reaction to what,
00:30:15I mean,
00:30:15if somebody hits you in the face,
00:30:16you go down right away.
00:30:17I don't think there was even that much contact at all.
00:30:20I don't think he can finish face,
00:30:22Ruffy,
00:30:22do you?
00:30:22Do you think he should get a retrospective ban
00:30:24for that play acting,
00:30:24Ruffy?
00:30:25Yeah.
00:30:26Are you?
00:30:26Well,
00:30:27it sets a message out to everybody else.
00:30:29When was the last time
00:30:30something like that was thrown out?
00:30:32No,
00:30:32I don't think,
00:30:32I can't recall one,
00:30:34can you?
00:30:34I'll tell you.
00:30:35Was it known something like Kyle Lafferty?
00:30:37Was it something?
00:30:38Charlie McGrew.
00:30:39Something like that.
00:30:40Yeah,
00:30:40something like that.
00:30:41Like Charlie,
00:30:41doing like a ton of bricks there.
00:30:43Yeah,
00:30:44yeah,
00:30:44absolutely.
00:30:44Well,
00:30:44I think he caught his demi-wave
00:30:46in the top of his hair.
00:30:47But nevertheless,
00:30:48I don't like to see it.
00:30:50I mean,
00:30:50I looked at it and I thought to myself,
00:30:52no,
00:30:52come on,
00:30:52man.
00:30:53Nah,
00:30:53it's poor.
00:30:54And I don't understand why
00:30:55Vars has not seen that as well
00:30:56and went,
00:30:56it's not a red card.
00:30:57I know he listened,
00:30:58I think the letter of the law again,
00:30:59is it common sense?
00:31:01Is it a red card
00:31:01but a letter of the law,
00:31:02yes,
00:31:02because he makes an action
00:31:03to go and,
00:31:05but doesn't he touch him?
00:31:06Wait a minute.
00:31:06No,
00:31:06but you're still,
00:31:07you're still,
00:31:08you're still allowed to,
00:31:09kind of motion to think,
00:31:10then you take into consideration
00:31:12the actual force of that
00:31:13and actually,
00:31:14does it catch him in the,
00:31:15in the face?
00:31:15There's intent there
00:31:16to go and,
00:31:17probably the intent.
00:31:18Intent doesn't come in yet time.
00:31:19Yeah.
00:31:20It was,
00:31:20it was Vars that actually
00:31:21alerted him to it.
00:31:23Right,
00:31:23okay.
00:31:23Because the referee
00:31:24was facing the other road.
00:31:25Yeah.
00:31:25I thought it was a linesman
00:31:26that actually,
00:31:27yeah.
00:31:28But Vars got involved,
00:31:30then he goes and has a look.
00:31:31There's no contact,
00:31:32but I just,
00:31:33I just cannot believe,
00:31:34I think the player
00:31:36needs to have a long,
00:31:37hard look at himself
00:31:39because,
00:31:40I'd just like to see that
00:31:42in a game.
00:31:43Does it change
00:31:43what would have been
00:31:44the outcome of the game?
00:31:45Not at all.
00:31:45Not in any capacity.
00:31:47I actually,
00:31:48let's get it right.
00:31:49I thought Motherwell,
00:31:50excellent,
00:31:51what,
00:31:51just,
00:31:52Juan Marise,
00:31:54you look at them,
00:31:55they've got a brand of football
00:31:56and they're playing
00:31:57with incredible confidence
00:31:58and one of the things
00:31:58that they don't do,
00:31:59I know,
00:31:59they don't concede goals.
00:32:01Going back to the officials.
00:32:03So if you take the overall
00:32:04performance of that one game,
00:32:06because we've obviously
00:32:07highlighted a few more.
00:32:08Gogich as well.
00:32:08Gogich,
00:32:09red card,
00:32:10Rescindy to yellow
00:32:11through there.
00:32:12Offside for the fourth goal,
00:32:14onside.
00:32:15Gog stands.
00:32:15Then you have this
00:32:17King situation
00:32:18where,
00:32:18for me,
00:32:19the VAR team
00:32:20are looking at that
00:32:22and if you go back
00:32:24to the Diamandi one
00:32:25at Dundee United
00:32:25in terms of the,
00:32:28what's the word they used?
00:32:29There was something
00:32:30along the lines of
00:32:32negligible force.
00:32:33Yeah.
00:32:34I didn't even see
00:32:36Forstie's face,
00:32:37which becomes an issue
00:32:38because it's the face
00:32:39and the head.
00:32:40I didn't see that.
00:32:42So I'm looking at the ref
00:32:44with that decision for Gogich,
00:32:45the linesman for the offside
00:32:47and the VAR team
00:32:48for not picking up that
00:32:50because I've yet to see
00:32:51someone go,
00:32:51ooh,
00:32:52that's a red card.
00:32:55Are we falling into
00:32:56the situation
00:32:56of we say
00:32:57like our referees
00:32:59earn the experience,
00:33:00some of the referees
00:33:01earn the experience
00:33:02enough to be
00:33:02refereeing big games?
00:33:04Are we now saying
00:33:05that people are looking
00:33:06at the VAR,
00:33:07haven't they got the experience
00:33:08in the game
00:33:08to make these decisions?
00:33:09They're making mistakes
00:33:10as well, Ruffy,
00:33:11but what's happening now
00:33:12is not only are managers
00:33:13saying that the VAR
00:33:14is re-referring the game,
00:33:16but referees,
00:33:17and you pointed it out
00:33:18last week,
00:33:18referees are now saying
00:33:20to themselves,
00:33:20I'm not going to make
00:33:21a call on this.
00:33:21I'll let them pick it up.
00:33:23I'm not going to
00:33:24referee the game.
00:33:25I'll let them highlight
00:33:27the mistake on this
00:33:28because I don't want
00:33:28to make the call.
00:33:29Well, they made two calls
00:33:31within that game.
00:33:33Listen,
00:33:33I don't want to
00:33:33batter it.
00:33:35See, even if you go back
00:33:36to the Friday night game
00:33:37with St. Johnson,
00:33:38the Rafe Rovers players
00:33:39onside,
00:33:41the linesman's looking
00:33:41along the line.
00:33:42To be fair,
00:33:43the linesman,
00:33:43there's a Rafe player
00:33:45clearly offside,
00:33:46but if he just buys
00:33:47a bit of time
00:33:48and thinks about
00:33:48what's actually he saw,
00:33:50he can clearly see
00:33:51that the boy,
00:33:52the Rafe Rovers player
00:33:53was onside.
00:33:54So there's a real
00:33:57kind of debate,
00:33:57Peter,
00:33:58whether,
00:33:58au revoir,
00:33:59get rid of it,
00:34:00but they're picking up
00:34:01a lot of stuff
00:34:02and all that these guys
00:34:03are missing.
00:34:04Not get rid of it,
00:34:05limit it.
00:34:06Yeah, well,
00:34:06the thing is,
00:34:07and this is the thing
00:34:09as you're talking about,
00:34:10are they not good enough
00:34:11to referee at that level
00:34:12or are they not good enough
00:34:13for VAR?
00:34:14See, when you get
00:34:14multiple camera angles
00:34:17of the King situation,
00:34:19I can't understand
00:34:20why they've come
00:34:21to that decision.
00:34:22I know,
00:34:22I can't understand
00:34:23why they haven't come,
00:34:24they haven't even got
00:34:25to a situation
00:34:25of looking at the mighty
00:34:26Moore and say,
00:34:27well, just have a look.
00:34:28My point here is,
00:34:30limit the use of it,
00:34:31but the emphasis
00:34:32must be,
00:34:33Tam,
00:34:33the referee
00:34:34referees the game
00:34:35and I think
00:34:37there's an absolute
00:34:38priority
00:34:38to turn around
00:34:40and say,
00:34:41let's release
00:34:42right away
00:34:42what this guy
00:34:44is saying in his ear.
00:34:45We want to know
00:34:46this...
00:34:47Well,
00:34:48listen,
00:34:49rugby.
00:34:50Rugby.
00:34:51At the game
00:34:52Wales against Scotland,
00:34:53the referee
00:34:54was quickly over
00:34:55and said,
00:34:56this is why
00:34:56I'm making this decision,
00:34:57this is why
00:34:58Wales' penalty
00:34:59has been rescinded
00:35:00because there was
00:35:01a foul there
00:35:02and the player
00:35:03was dangerously
00:35:03hauled over.
00:35:04He's made it clear
00:35:05to everybody,
00:35:06everybody in the stadium
00:35:07knows,
00:35:08what we're not hearing
00:35:09now is a referee
00:35:10listening to a VAR
00:35:12official going,
00:35:13by the way,
00:35:13delay,
00:35:14delay,
00:35:14delay,
00:35:14he's done this,
00:35:15he's done this,
00:35:15he's done this,
00:35:16we think he's done this
00:35:17and by the way,
00:35:18I'm going to give you
00:35:1834 freeze frames on this
00:35:20because this will back up
00:35:21what we are telling you.
00:35:23No,
00:35:23here's the angle,
00:35:24referee,
00:35:25you make the call
00:35:26and do not be swayed
00:35:27by a John Beaton
00:35:29and Andrew Dallas
00:35:30or anybody else
00:35:31who's in that VAR
00:35:33who's re-referring
00:35:34the game for you,
00:35:35you make the call
00:35:36but I also would limit it
00:35:37because it's causing mayhem.
00:35:39The referees don't want to do it,
00:35:40I don't think they want to do that,
00:35:41I think you're right,
00:35:41I think they want to,
00:35:43don't want to make a mistake.
00:35:44Has that come for blanket?
00:35:45Yeah,
00:35:45I think they want to go,
00:35:46right,
00:35:46wait a minute,
00:35:47and then they'll wait until
00:35:48coming of a look at this,
00:35:49that's a penalty,
00:35:50that's a red card,
00:35:51before they give it.
00:35:53I'm going to...
00:35:54Try and buy themselves time,
00:35:55if you know what I mean,
00:35:55they'll make a decision right away.
00:35:57That's what they are doing.
00:35:57You make a really,
00:35:59really interesting point
00:36:00and this was brought up
00:36:01in some of the stuff
00:36:01that I was in last year
00:36:03on the VAR situation
00:36:05and so,
00:36:06whatever the situation is
00:36:08that you're...
00:36:09So, the referee will go,
00:36:10foul, penalty,
00:36:12thing me,
00:36:12and then the VAR team
00:36:13will look to see
00:36:14if that backs up
00:36:16with the images show.
00:36:18However,
00:36:19there was a couple of times
00:36:20that,
00:36:21for example,
00:36:22more out than in,
00:36:24so they're basically already
00:36:25pre-empting the referee
00:36:27for a decision,
00:36:28so,
00:36:29if you go back to the Aberdeen,
00:36:31disallowed goal with Nesbitt,
00:36:33you know,
00:36:33when they scored
00:36:34and,
00:36:35when you're listening
00:36:36to the VAR
00:36:37and the A-VAR guys
00:36:38communicating their process,
00:36:40they say,
00:36:41we can't draw the lines.
00:36:43Do you remember?
00:36:43No, they couldn't draw the lines
00:36:44because of...
00:36:45so, they factually couldn't see
00:36:48where the heel was
00:36:49of the defender.
00:36:51Yeah.
00:36:52However,
00:36:52in the audio,
00:36:54the A-VAR and VAR saying,
00:36:56it's a factual offside,
00:36:58you need to come to the monitor.
00:37:00Both of them say this,
00:37:01so the guy rolls off the monitor,
00:37:03in his mind he's gone,
00:37:04it's a factual offside,
00:37:05but they can't draw the lines
00:37:07to tell you whether it's factual
00:37:08or not.
00:37:10Yeah.
00:37:10But the language they're using
00:37:11prior to the guy
00:37:12getting to the screen...
00:37:13It sways him.
00:37:14Of course it does.
00:37:15By the way,
00:37:15I thought even the Longello goal
00:37:17was a guess.
00:37:18I thought the Longello goal
00:37:19was a guess
00:37:20because quite simply
00:37:21they don't have the technology
00:37:22at every angle
00:37:24to say he's offside.
00:37:25I looked and I thought,
00:37:26he's offside.
00:37:27But we could get rid of that,
00:37:28Alec,
00:37:29if they'd embrace Arsene Wenger,
00:37:30which is clear distance
00:37:32between the players.
00:37:33Yeah, but I don't know
00:37:33if they'll do that in mid,
00:37:34but they might look at that
00:37:34in the summer, Peter.
00:37:35I hope they do
00:37:36because it's a game
00:37:37of entertainment, isn't it?
00:37:38No, no, absolutely.
00:37:39When you've got a toenail,
00:37:40I totally agree with you
00:37:41and we want to see it.
00:37:42But going back to the actual
00:37:44VAR situation,
00:37:45I think they should say,
00:37:47look at it and go,
00:37:48listen, you have to come
00:37:49to the screen,
00:37:49there's a potential miss.
00:37:52But when you...
00:37:52It's a language
00:37:53to influence the referee.
00:37:54Here's a good thing.
00:37:55Factual, Tom.
00:37:55How can you go,
00:37:56it's factual
00:37:56and there's no lines drawn?
00:37:57Can I just say this?
00:37:59Before we forget about it,
00:38:00before we miss out on it,
00:38:01how good are Motho?
00:38:03Brilliant.
00:38:03Motho were brilliant.
00:38:04As I said,
00:38:05I think they're the best.
00:38:06Outside the Celtic Rangers
00:38:07are the best team
00:38:08I've seen in Scotland
00:38:09for 20-odd year.
00:38:11Tony Mowbray,
00:38:11Hibbs' team,
00:38:12were very good.
00:38:12played that similar
00:38:14brand of football
00:38:15with a lot of younger players
00:38:16but they just play
00:38:17some sensational football.
00:38:18And if they go and beat
00:38:19Dundee United on Saturday,
00:38:21they'll go a point
00:38:22behind Celtic
00:38:23before Celtic play Rangers.
00:38:24And they're not out of this yet.
00:38:25If they win their game
00:38:26and hand their seven points
00:38:27by Hansen,
00:38:27they're going to do
00:38:28some serious damage
00:38:29in the top six.
00:38:30And by the way,
00:38:31for the last couple of months
00:38:32I've said,
00:38:33and I have said it consistently
00:38:34on this show,
00:38:35that Celtic should be looking
00:38:36at Jens Bertha Lascaux
00:38:37as their manager.
00:38:39And now,
00:38:40lots and lots of people
00:38:41are suggesting it
00:38:43but what I would say
00:38:43is this,
00:38:44this is not...
00:38:45Oh.
00:38:46What?
00:38:47It's not getting through
00:38:48to some people.
00:38:49Yeah, absolutely.
00:38:50I know that.
00:38:50He still doesn't...
00:38:51You still don't believe
00:38:52in Motherwell.
00:38:52You just think
00:38:53they're a flash in the pan,
00:38:54Ruffy.
00:38:54Yeah.
00:38:55I don't think
00:38:55they're a flash in the pan.
00:38:56I've seen them playing.
00:38:57They play good football.
00:38:58They've lost three goals
00:39:00in about four months.
00:39:01Yeah, they just got
00:39:02knocked out of the cup
00:39:03last Wednesday.
00:39:04Yeah, with two players
00:39:05sent off.
00:39:05Well, that's...
00:39:06So negative about Motherwell.
00:39:07By the way,
00:39:08can I tell you something?
00:39:09Very negative about it.
00:39:10They're fourth
00:39:10and they've beaten
00:39:13some big teams this year.
00:39:14There were three.
00:39:15I watched them three
00:39:15and up against Hearts
00:39:16and I thought
00:39:16it was going to be six.
00:39:17They drew their first
00:39:18five league games as well,
00:39:19Peter.
00:39:19Yeah.
00:39:20And by the way,
00:39:21the other aspect of this,
00:39:24Jens Bertha Laskow
00:39:25is not some pioneer
00:39:28who's suddenly...
00:39:29Invented the wheel.
00:39:30Reinvented the wheel.
00:39:31This is...
00:39:31This is...
00:39:32This is football
00:39:33that many a team...
00:39:34He's mentioned
00:39:35Tony Mowbray.
00:39:36This is football
00:39:37that Kenny Doglish's
00:39:38Liverpool were playing
00:39:40when Bob Paisley
00:39:41was the manager.
00:39:42Do you know why?
00:39:43Because they all went
00:39:44and played five a sides.
00:39:45So you've got a man there,
00:39:46make sure there's two spare
00:39:48and when you give him
00:39:49the ball,
00:39:49you go and make sure
00:39:50you're in the triangle
00:39:51to give him an option.
00:39:52It's not rocket science
00:39:53but by the way,
00:39:55they've all embraced it,
00:39:56Alec.
00:39:56They all know
00:39:56what they're doing.
00:39:57No, and I don't mean
00:39:58this disrespectful
00:39:59to the players
00:40:00they've got there.
00:40:00They've got journeymen
00:40:01who are there
00:40:02who are...
00:40:03They're actually looking
00:40:04like top class players
00:40:06and I mean,
00:40:07listen,
00:40:08the boy Stephen O'Donnell
00:40:09has been...
00:40:11He's been 25,
00:40:1230 caps for Scotland
00:40:13so he's done
00:40:13exceptionally well
00:40:14but you see him
00:40:15just gone bang,
00:40:16dropping balls in,
00:40:17big switches of playing
00:40:18all that,
00:40:18you think,
00:40:18lovely.
00:40:20However,
00:40:21we've been shouting
00:40:21and balling you
00:40:22that if you're Celtic
00:40:23go and get him.
00:40:24I genuinely feel
00:40:25as if there'll be
00:40:25bigger suitors
00:40:26and bigger leagues
00:40:27looking at this guy
00:40:28because that brand
00:40:29of football
00:40:29with the group
00:40:30of players,
00:40:31I think it's an
00:40:32incredible job
00:40:33that he's done so far.
00:40:33Oh, you're right.
00:40:34There will be
00:40:36bigger clubs there
00:40:37and of course
00:40:37the other good thing
00:40:38about it, Ravi,
00:40:38from the other club's
00:40:39point of view
00:40:40is they'll always
00:40:41steal a match
00:40:42on Celtic
00:40:42because Celtic
00:40:43are lastminute.com
00:40:44this board
00:40:45wait till the last
00:40:46minute till they
00:40:46get somebody
00:40:47for two quenchy
00:40:48cups and a Kit Kat.
00:40:49There's no point
00:40:50in me.
00:40:51There's no point
00:40:51in me.
00:40:52The time since
00:40:53when we're
00:40:53there,
00:40:53I say.
00:40:54It's taking 40
00:40:55minutes for you
00:40:56to go into
00:40:56your wee rant.
00:40:59The boys went
00:41:00out there
00:41:00the Soprano.
00:41:01To be fair,
00:41:02to be fair,
00:41:03to be fair,
00:41:05yeah,
00:41:06exactly,
00:41:06I know.
00:41:08To be fair,
00:41:09Ruffy,
00:41:09somebody says to me
00:41:10you've got it
00:41:11in for Celtic.
00:41:11I haven't got
00:41:12it in for Celtic.
00:41:1360,000 season
00:41:14ticket holders
00:41:15have got it
00:41:16in for Celtic.
00:41:17They share
00:41:17the same view.
00:41:1860,001.
00:41:19Yeah,
00:41:20absolutely.
00:41:21Good line.
00:41:23I'm bad for
00:41:24telling you the
00:41:25truth.
00:41:25I'm happy with
00:41:26that.
00:41:27And by the
00:41:28way,
00:41:28see the guy
00:41:28that I had
00:41:29a go at?
00:41:29He's currently
00:41:30wearing Saudi
00:41:31Arabian gear
00:41:32with a Saudi
00:41:33Arabian gun,
00:41:34you know,
00:41:35saying he's
00:41:35always loved
00:41:36Al Nassar
00:41:37or whoever
00:41:38the hell.
00:41:38Supported him
00:41:39since that boy.
00:41:39Exactly,
00:41:40you know.
00:41:41Sheik Rogers.
00:41:45He's unbelievable.
00:41:46He's in the
00:41:46full Saudi Arabian
00:41:47I'm going to
00:41:47tell you something,
00:41:48right?
00:41:48I'm going to
00:41:49put it out there.
00:41:50By the way,
00:41:50I'd happily sit
00:41:51with that attire
00:41:51on,
00:41:52by the way,
00:41:52with a big
00:41:52rifle for a few
00:41:53quid.
00:41:54£440,000 a
00:41:55week,
00:41:55roughly.
00:41:56Seriously?
00:41:57Yep.
00:41:57It's alright,
00:41:58isn't it?
00:41:58It's alright.
00:41:59No,
00:41:59but I think
00:42:00anybody that
00:42:00listens to
00:42:01the show,
00:42:02anybody that
00:42:02listens to
00:42:03the show,
00:42:03you know,
00:42:04you're saying
00:42:05it as you
00:42:05see it.
00:42:06I don't think
00:42:06anybody can
00:42:07disagree with
00:42:08anything you're
00:42:08saying about
00:42:10the board.
00:42:11No.
00:42:11There's nobody
00:42:12out there,
00:42:12I think,
00:42:12who can defend
00:42:13the present
00:42:14board for
00:42:15anything.
00:42:16No,
00:42:16definitely not.
00:42:17They're still
00:42:17in discussions,
00:42:18eh?
00:42:18I think they're
00:42:19still in discussions
00:42:20with various
00:42:20groups,
00:42:21you know,
00:42:22the Celtic
00:42:22board.
00:42:23Is it the
00:42:24interim chairman
00:42:26is coming out
00:42:27and making
00:42:27decisions or
00:42:28trying to
00:42:29appease certain
00:42:31groups.
00:42:33Let's offer a
00:42:34bit of balance
00:42:34here to the
00:42:35board on
00:42:35this,
00:42:35Ruffy.
00:42:38It's not a
00:42:39clear-cut,
00:42:40let the
00:42:40Green Brigade
00:42:41back in.
00:42:43I think in
00:42:44fairness to
00:42:45this board,
00:42:45this board
00:42:46are making a
00:42:47stance along
00:42:47with a lot
00:42:48of Celtic
00:42:48fans saying,
00:42:49listen,
00:42:51the Green
00:42:51Brigade,
00:42:52there are a
00:42:53group within
00:42:54that Green
00:42:54Brigade who
00:42:55cause mayhem
00:42:56at away games.
00:42:57Some of their
00:42:58conduct is getting
00:42:59the club
00:42:59constant fines.
00:43:01We are not
00:43:01here to
00:43:02either dismiss
00:43:04or legitimise
00:43:06banners for
00:43:07pro certain
00:43:08countries or
00:43:09anything.
00:43:10That's not our
00:43:10job here.
00:43:11Our job is
00:43:12here to say,
00:43:13you put them
00:43:14up and the
00:43:15club get a
00:43:15fine,
00:43:16you need to
00:43:17stop doing
00:43:17it.
00:43:17You put
00:43:18pyros up and
00:43:19the club get a
00:43:20fine,
00:43:20you need to
00:43:21stop doing
00:43:21it.
00:43:23They've been
00:43:23given too
00:43:24much power
00:43:25and some
00:43:25of them who
00:43:26go,
00:43:26and I don't
00:43:26know about
00:43:27you Ruffy,
00:43:27let's all
00:43:28go on a
00:43:28night out and
00:43:28Tam turns
00:43:29up in a
00:43:29balaclava.
00:43:30It's a red
00:43:31warning to
00:43:32me that
00:43:32Tam's ready
00:43:32to kick
00:43:33off with
00:43:33somebody.
00:43:34I'm sorry.
00:43:35There are
00:43:36certain elements
00:43:36within that
00:43:37crew that
00:43:38don't actually
00:43:39have the
00:43:40club's interests
00:43:41at heart and
00:43:41that's where
00:43:42they're making
00:43:42a stand.
00:43:43By the way,
00:43:44and there's
00:43:45another nonsense,
00:43:46I say to him,
00:43:47do you think the
00:43:47Green Brigade are
00:43:48the only people
00:43:48that's ever
00:43:48learned how
00:43:49to sing?
00:43:50Celtic fans
00:43:51will sing if
00:43:51there's a
00:43:51half-decent
00:43:52team on the
00:43:53park.
00:43:53I mean,
00:43:54we're talking
00:43:54about how many
00:43:55people we're
00:43:55talking about
00:43:55here,
00:43:56two,
00:43:56three hundred
00:43:57in the game,
00:43:58the Green
00:43:58Brigade.
00:43:59I mean,
00:44:00you're talking
00:44:00about another
00:44:0158,000 people.
00:44:02It would be
00:44:02interesting to
00:44:03see what the
00:44:04other 58,000
00:44:05view everything
00:44:06that you've said
00:44:07just now.
00:44:08The easiest
00:44:09thing to do
00:44:09is don't give
00:44:10them a season
00:44:11ticket.
00:44:12All the
00:44:12Green Brigade
00:44:13need to do
00:44:13is get
00:44:14together with
00:44:15Brian Wilson
00:44:15and the
00:44:15board and
00:44:16say,
00:44:16listen,
00:44:17we want to
00:44:18come back
00:44:18in.
00:44:19We'll rein
00:44:19it in.
00:44:20We're going
00:44:20to rein
00:44:20it in.
00:44:21We're going
00:44:21to actually
00:44:21abide by
00:44:22the laws
00:44:23and the
00:44:23rules within
00:44:25UEFA and
00:44:25within the
00:44:26SPFL.
00:44:27That's all
00:44:27they need
00:44:28to do.
00:44:28How many
00:44:28times have
00:44:29they done
00:44:29that,
00:44:30Peter,
00:44:30and it's
00:44:30no work?
00:44:30Well,
00:44:31that's fine.
00:44:31That's why
00:44:32they're banned
00:44:32at the
00:44:32moment.
00:44:33That's what
00:44:33we're saying.
00:44:34You've got
00:44:34to be fair to
00:44:34the board.
00:44:35The board's
00:44:41saying they've
00:44:42been dismissive,
00:44:43they've been
00:44:43arrogant,
00:44:44and their
00:44:45day is going
00:44:45to come in
00:44:46the summer
00:44:46if this all
00:44:47goes pear
00:44:48shaped with
00:44:48Celtic.
00:44:49It's still
00:44:49coming.
00:44:50They're not
00:44:50happy with
00:44:51them.
00:44:51There has
00:44:51to be
00:44:51change.
00:44:52Structural
00:44:52change.
00:44:54I think
00:44:55the board
00:44:56needs refreshed
00:44:56and I think
00:44:57Dermott has
00:44:58to either
00:44:58say,
00:44:59listen,
00:44:59I'm selling
00:45:00or I'm
00:45:01going to
00:45:01show a
00:45:02modicum of
00:45:02humility with
00:45:03my son and
00:45:04try and build
00:45:04bridges here.
00:45:05That's what
00:45:06they need to
00:45:06do.
00:45:07Whether that
00:45:07is going to
00:45:08happen or not,
00:45:09I have my
00:45:09doubts about
00:45:10it.
00:45:10I can give
00:45:11two hoots
00:45:11if I'm
00:45:12barred or
00:45:12not.
00:45:12They're
00:45:12barring
00:45:12ex-Celtic
00:45:13players who
00:45:13have played
00:45:14with distinction
00:45:14for them.
00:45:15They're
00:45:16barring
00:45:16journalists
00:45:16from the
00:45:17BBC.
00:45:17Everybody's
00:45:18been barred.
00:45:18They're
00:45:19acting like
00:45:19a
00:45:19dictatorship.
00:45:21So it's
00:45:21fine.
00:45:22If you're
00:45:22barred because
00:45:23you're telling
00:45:23the truth,
00:45:24great.
00:45:25I take
00:45:25great pride
00:45:26in the fact
00:45:26that I got
00:45:27Brendan
00:45:27Rogers spot
00:45:28on.
00:45:29But the
00:45:30problems are
00:45:30not going
00:45:31away for
00:45:31Celtic.
00:45:32All they're
00:45:32doing at
00:45:33the moment
00:45:33is relying
00:45:33on a
00:45:34very,
00:45:34very good
00:45:35experienced
00:45:35manager who's
00:45:36papering
00:45:37over the
00:45:37cracks.
00:45:38The double
00:45:39problem we've
00:45:40got now is
00:45:40it's also
00:45:42happening with
00:45:42the board
00:45:42but it's
00:45:43now happening
00:45:43on the
00:45:43park.
00:45:45Eventually
00:45:46that's going
00:45:46to sea
00:45:47point in
00:45:47the park.
00:45:48Listen,
00:45:50Aberdeen 2,
00:45:51Dundee 3.
00:45:53I think
00:45:54first and
00:45:54foremost,
00:45:55great credit
00:45:56to Stephen.
00:45:57Brilliant for
00:45:57a jobby team
00:45:58to go up
00:45:59there.
00:46:00One of the
00:46:02best lines
00:46:02I've ever
00:46:02seen.
00:46:04Big Elvis,
00:46:05brilliant.
00:46:06I think
00:46:07it's the
00:46:07first time
00:46:07they've won
00:46:08up there
00:46:08since a
00:46:09year ago.
00:46:11Fantastic
00:46:11result.
00:46:12Aberdeen are
00:46:12there for
00:46:12the taking
00:46:13at the
00:46:13minute,
00:46:13no manager.
00:46:15They've
00:46:15got to go
00:46:15to Tyne
00:46:15Castle at
00:46:16the weekend
00:46:16which is
00:46:16why I
00:46:16think
00:46:17Hartzell
00:46:17will win.
00:46:18I thought
00:46:18over the
00:46:19piece
00:46:19Dundee
00:46:19deserved to
00:46:20win the
00:46:20game.
00:46:20Kevin
00:46:20is starting
00:46:21to score
00:46:21goals again
00:46:22which is
00:46:22good for
00:46:23him.
00:46:23He might
00:46:24have a
00:46:24late rally
00:46:25for the
00:46:25Scotland
00:46:25squad at
00:46:26World Cup
00:46:26if he
00:46:26keeps
00:46:26banging
00:46:27them in.
00:46:29Aberdeen
00:46:29need a
00:46:30manager.
00:46:32Forget the
00:46:35start picking
00:46:35up points.
00:46:37Dundee
00:46:38are not
00:46:38going to
00:46:38get relegated.
00:46:39They're
00:46:39certainly
00:46:39not going
00:46:39to be in
00:46:40the playoff.
00:46:40The only
00:46:41thing they've
00:46:41got to worry
00:46:42on is
00:46:43the goalie
00:46:44McCracken.
00:46:46In the
00:46:47beginning of
00:46:47the season
00:46:47he was in
00:46:48the Scotland
00:46:48squad and
00:46:49quite rightly
00:46:49so.
00:46:50He was the
00:46:50main man
00:46:51for them.
00:46:52Just recently
00:46:52there's been
00:46:53mistakes creeping
00:46:54in here and
00:46:55there.
00:46:56It happens
00:46:56to a lot
00:46:57of goalkeepers.
00:47:00The St
00:47:00Mern goalkeeper
00:47:01against
00:47:03the shocker.
00:47:05So it
00:47:05happens.
00:47:07He's got
00:47:08something there
00:47:08but I
00:47:09thought the
00:47:10sending off
00:47:10in that
00:47:10game was
00:47:11another
00:47:12turning point
00:47:12in that
00:47:13game.
00:47:13Was there
00:47:14a sending
00:47:14off?
00:47:14I didn't
00:47:15think so.
00:47:16I thought
00:47:17he was
00:47:17going to
00:47:17wait for
00:47:17a goal.
00:47:18It wasn't
00:47:18a goal
00:47:18scoring
00:47:18opportunity.
00:47:19There was
00:47:19no way.
00:47:20He wasn't
00:47:20even under
00:47:20control of
00:47:21the ball.
00:47:22He's
00:47:22actually got
00:47:22in front
00:47:23of him
00:47:23in the
00:47:24penalty
00:47:24area.
00:47:25I thought
00:47:26it was a
00:47:26penalty.
00:47:29Unfortunately,
00:47:31I would
00:47:32look at
00:47:32the full
00:47:34picture
00:47:35because
00:47:35what's
00:47:35happened
00:47:35is they've
00:47:36just had
00:47:36a basic
00:47:36ball down
00:47:37the leg,
00:47:37a long
00:47:38ball and
00:47:39then they
00:47:39end up
00:47:39with a
00:47:392v1.
00:47:40For me,
00:47:40that would
00:47:40be a
00:47:41more
00:47:41where's
00:47:42the rest
00:47:42of the
00:47:42defence
00:47:42here?
00:47:43One's
00:47:43clearly
00:47:44dropped
00:47:44off and
00:47:44no one
00:47:45can attract
00:47:46the guy
00:47:47who ends
00:47:47up getting
00:47:48fouled in
00:47:48the box.
00:47:49I think
00:47:49you can
00:47:49was
00:47:49brilliantly
00:47:50clever.
00:47:51He just
00:47:51automatically
00:47:52gets his
00:47:52body in
00:47:53front.
00:47:53I have
00:47:55no issues
00:47:57with a
00:47:57striker or
00:47:58a midfielder
00:47:59or any
00:47:59player gaining
00:48:00an advantage
00:48:01because of
00:48:02somebody getting
00:48:02caught on
00:48:03the wrong
00:48:03side.
00:48:03What I'm
00:48:04saying is
00:48:04the defender
00:48:06didn't even
00:48:06know he
00:48:06was coming
00:48:08and he
00:48:08just put
00:48:09his body
00:48:09in and
00:48:09put the
00:48:10brakes on
00:48:10and he
00:48:11steamed
00:48:11into the
00:48:12back of
00:48:12him.
00:48:12I don't
00:48:13have any
00:48:13qualms.
00:48:14In that
00:48:14situation,
00:48:15under the
00:48:16rules of
00:48:16the game,
00:48:16he's clearly
00:48:17a goal
00:48:18scoring
00:48:18opportunity
00:48:18and he
00:48:19hasn't
00:48:19made a
00:48:19genuine
00:48:20attempt to
00:48:20play the
00:48:20ball
00:48:21because he
00:48:21just
00:48:21rattled
00:48:21right into
00:48:22the
00:48:22back of
00:48:22him.
00:48:23unfortunately
00:48:23it's a
00:48:24card.
00:48:25Naive
00:48:25defender.
00:48:26It was
00:48:27the best
00:48:27two goals
00:48:28of the
00:48:29weekend.
00:48:30Well,
00:48:31yeah,
00:48:31because I've
00:48:32got to ask
00:48:32you this,
00:48:33Ruffy,
00:48:34we're talking
00:48:34about players
00:48:35that you
00:48:36enjoy going
00:48:37to watch.
00:48:38I could
00:48:39watch the
00:48:39boy Cameron
00:48:40Congaree
00:48:40all day
00:48:41long.
00:48:41Left
00:48:41beg,
00:48:42beats
00:48:42players for
00:48:43fun.
00:48:43I love
00:48:44players like
00:48:44that.
00:48:44Yeah,
00:48:45we spoke
00:48:46about it
00:48:46earlier on
00:48:46in the
00:48:47show.
00:48:47I'm sure
00:48:48Alec would
00:48:48agree.
00:48:49You've got
00:48:49a manager
00:48:50of a team
00:48:51like that
00:48:51who's got
00:48:52a player
00:48:52like that.
00:48:53I know
00:48:53Fitz's
00:48:54went off
00:48:54the boil
00:48:55a wee bit
00:48:56on his
00:48:58pace,
00:48:59going by
00:48:59people,
00:49:00taking
00:49:00people
00:49:00on.
00:49:01Who are
00:49:01you talking
00:49:02about,
00:49:02Fitz's?
00:49:05Yeah,
00:49:05I know
00:49:05that.
00:49:06They're
00:49:07not on
00:49:07about you.
00:49:08If you'd
00:49:08came to the
00:49:09game at
00:49:09the weekend,
00:49:10you'd just
00:49:10see him
00:49:10flying past
00:49:11people.
00:49:11Yeah,
00:49:12instead of
00:49:12your usual
00:49:13chubby
00:49:13suit chain.
00:49:15You might
00:49:15be talking
00:49:15him up
00:49:16to try
00:49:16and
00:49:16punt
00:49:16him.
00:49:18By the
00:49:18way,
00:49:19he's only
00:49:20two away
00:49:23for the
00:49:24record
00:49:24assists.
00:49:25in a
00:49:25season.
00:49:26Aidan
00:49:26Fitzpatrick.
00:49:27Fitzy.
00:49:28Yeah,
00:49:28absolutely.
00:49:29Well,
00:49:30Congrave,
00:49:30brilliant.
00:49:31See if you're
00:49:31going to
00:49:31score a
00:49:32winner,
00:49:32Tam.
00:49:33Brilliant,
00:49:34great strike.
00:49:34Two crackers
00:49:35he scored,
00:49:35one at
00:49:36Celtic Park
00:49:37and one at
00:49:37Pataudry.
00:49:38Brilliant.
00:49:39Very,
00:49:39very good
00:49:39player.
00:49:40And Elvis
00:49:40has pulled
00:49:41a couple
00:49:42of gems
00:49:42out.
00:49:42He has.
00:49:43Congrave,
00:49:43Yogan,
00:49:45Ethan
00:49:45Hamilton.
00:49:46He's pulled
00:49:47three or four
00:49:47good players
00:49:48out the locker
00:49:48and done
00:49:49deal out a
00:49:49good outfit.
00:49:50Plenty of
00:49:51legs and
00:49:51plenty of
00:49:52energy about
00:49:53the team.
00:49:53A wee bit
00:49:53of experience.
00:49:54Boy,
00:49:54the back's a
00:49:54terrific player
00:49:55as well.
00:49:55I like
00:49:56Graham.
00:49:57Are you
00:49:58going to
00:49:58stop just
00:49:59mentioning your
00:49:59mates?
00:50:01Chris Fraser,
00:50:02I think,
00:50:02has got it
00:50:02spot on.
00:50:03A lot of
00:50:03people putting
00:50:04in their
00:50:04Tuppensworth
00:50:05years.
00:50:05The Celtic
00:50:06new manager
00:50:06will come
00:50:07in on
00:50:08August 1st.
00:50:09But I
00:50:10don't know
00:50:10what year
00:50:11that is
00:50:12or how
00:50:13bad it
00:50:13is.
00:50:14The board
00:50:14are totally
00:50:15clueless,
00:50:16says Chris.
00:50:18And Bob
00:50:18says,
00:50:19Tam backing
00:50:19up Peter
00:50:20again.
00:50:21Yeah,
00:50:21you'll
00:50:21need to
00:50:22stop that.
00:50:22It's
00:50:23embarrassing.
00:50:23I've
00:50:23noticed
00:50:23that.
00:50:24Have you
00:50:24noticed
00:50:24that?
00:50:24Absolutely.
00:50:26Whereas
00:50:26Ruffy has
00:50:27decided the
00:50:27opposite.
00:50:29I can
00:50:30always tell
00:50:30you've made
00:50:31a statement
00:50:35which is
00:50:35either without
00:50:36foundation or
00:50:38bordering on
00:50:39ridiculous.
00:50:40And you
00:50:40know what
00:50:40it is?
00:50:41The minute
00:50:41you make
00:50:42it, he
00:50:42goes,
00:50:43and he
00:50:44turns his
00:50:45head.
00:50:46I judge
00:50:47people at
00:50:48the end of
00:50:48the season.
00:50:48I'm not
00:50:49taking any
00:50:49of being
00:50:50magnificent.
00:50:50Listen,
00:50:51let's
00:50:51see where
00:50:51they end
00:50:52up at
00:50:52the end
00:50:52of the
00:50:53season.
00:50:53Who
00:50:53will
00:50:53finish
00:50:53this
00:50:53season
00:50:54off
00:50:54you?
00:50:5833-1
00:50:58with the
00:50:59bookies to
00:50:59win it.
00:51:01Just say to
00:51:02I think
00:51:03they'll
00:51:03catch one
00:51:03of the
00:51:03Celtic
00:51:04Rangers.
00:51:04There you
00:51:05go.
00:51:05You think
00:51:05so?
00:51:06Yes.
00:51:06Wow,
00:51:07that's a
00:51:07big shout
00:51:07isn't it?
00:51:08Well,
00:51:09what I will
00:51:09say,
00:51:11I'll tell
00:51:11you,
00:51:12in their
00:51:12defence,
00:51:13like he
00:51:14said,
00:51:14they've
00:51:14drawn in
00:51:15the first
00:51:15five games,
00:51:16they're
00:51:17coming like
00:51:17a train.
00:51:18And when
00:51:19you actually
00:51:20look at
00:51:20a group
00:51:20of
00:51:20players,
00:51:21so you
00:51:21look at
00:51:22Celtic and
00:51:22you go,
00:51:23right,
00:51:23okay,
00:51:23huffing and
00:51:23puffing a
00:51:24bit,
00:51:24Rangers,
00:51:24huffing and
00:51:25puffing,
00:51:25some days,
00:51:26no bad,
00:51:27hearts,
00:51:27showing a
00:51:28level of
00:51:28consistency.
00:51:29When I
00:51:29look at,
00:51:31is it
00:51:31one defeat
00:51:32in 19?
00:51:33Yep.
00:51:34One defeat
00:51:34in 19?
00:51:35Lost three
00:51:36all season,
00:51:36but they're
00:51:37coming like
00:51:38a train and
00:51:39they're
00:51:39scoring goals.
00:51:39Well,
00:51:40the other
00:51:40point,
00:51:45I think
00:51:46they can
00:51:47break in
00:51:48to the
00:51:48top three.
00:51:49Yeah,
00:51:49I'm the
00:51:49same.
00:51:50Do you
00:51:50think so?
00:51:51I do,
00:51:51yeah,
00:51:51I genuinely
00:51:52do.
00:51:52Well,
00:51:52can I
00:51:52just say
00:51:53something to
00:51:53you?
00:51:53They've
00:51:53got Dundee
00:51:54United at
00:51:54home,
00:51:55they're
00:51:55away to
00:51:56Dundee,
00:51:56they're
00:51:57away to
00:51:57Celtic on
00:51:58the 14th
00:51:58of March,
00:51:59then they've
00:51:59got Hibs
00:52:00at home,
00:52:00they've got
00:52:01Falkirk at
00:52:01home,
00:52:02and they've
00:52:02got Hearts
00:52:03away.
00:52:03So before
00:52:04they get to
00:52:04Hearts on
00:52:05the 11th
00:52:05of April,
00:52:06before that
00:52:06split comes
00:52:09I gave
00:52:10you a run
00:52:11of games
00:52:12for Hearts
00:52:12on Friday
00:52:13and you
00:52:13said,
00:52:14oof,
00:52:15they could
00:52:1515 points
00:52:17So what's
00:52:18the score
00:52:18here with
00:52:18Motherwell?
00:52:19Where are
00:52:19you?
00:52:20What's
00:52:20before the
00:52:20split?
00:52:21What have
00:52:21they got?
00:52:22Motherwell?
00:52:23Dundee
00:52:23United and
00:52:24Dundee.
00:52:24They've had
00:52:24quite a lot
00:52:25of games.
00:52:25Dundee
00:52:26United at
00:52:26home,
00:52:27Dundee
00:52:27Celtic
00:52:28away,
00:52:28one,
00:52:29Celtic
00:52:29away,
00:52:30one,
00:52:31Hibs
00:52:32at home,
00:52:32beat,
00:52:34Falkirk
00:52:34at home,
00:52:35one,
00:52:36Hearts
00:52:36away,
00:52:37one.
00:52:37Celtic,
00:52:38Hibs
00:52:38and Hearts
00:52:38are the
00:52:38three big
00:52:39ones.
00:52:40That's
00:52:40what I'm
00:52:41saying,
00:52:41they're
00:52:41playing
00:52:41the two
00:52:42teams
00:52:42that
00:52:42have
00:52:42run
00:52:42about
00:52:43them.
00:52:44Listen,
00:52:44I know I've
00:52:45seen steam
00:52:45training and
00:52:45talked them
00:52:46up and
00:52:46things,
00:52:47their actual
00:52:47form against
00:52:48the top
00:52:48six isn't
00:52:49brilliant.
00:52:50Is that
00:52:50right?
00:52:50Somebody said
00:52:51that to me
00:52:51today on
00:52:52social media,
00:52:53I didn't
00:52:53quite see it.
00:52:54Well,
00:52:54they had a
00:52:551-1 against
00:52:55Rangers.
00:52:56I'll give you
00:52:57the ones that
00:52:57have drawn a
00:52:58loss.
00:52:59And that'll
00:53:00give you the
00:53:01absolute record
00:53:02on it.
00:53:02So they've
00:53:021-1 with
00:53:03Rangers,
00:53:04they've
00:53:04had a
00:53:041-1 with
00:53:05Hibs,
00:53:06they lost
00:53:06to Rangers
00:53:07at Ibrox,
00:53:08and St Mirren
00:53:10have beaten
00:53:11them in a
00:53:12League Cup
00:53:13match,
00:53:13and I'm
00:53:13going way
00:53:14back to
00:53:14the start
00:53:14of the
00:53:15season here,
00:53:15they lost
00:53:163-2 to
00:53:16Celtic in
00:53:17October.
00:53:18Goal
00:53:18with
00:53:18Celtic
00:53:19jerseys.
00:53:20Exactly,
00:53:20they were
00:53:202-1 up,
00:53:21and then
00:53:22they lost
00:53:222-1 to
00:53:24Falkert.
00:53:24Look at the
00:53:25start of the
00:53:25season,
00:53:25all draws.
00:53:28I don't
00:53:29know where
00:53:29people are
00:53:30getting that,
00:53:30they've had
00:53:31some good
00:53:31wins against
00:53:32the big
00:53:32sides.
00:53:33Do you
00:53:34know what
00:53:34I mean?
00:53:35Well,
00:53:35I'll be
00:53:36honest with you,
00:53:36I never
00:53:36actually saw
00:53:37the start,
00:53:37but someone
00:53:39fired it up
00:53:39today,
00:53:40and I
00:53:40thought,
00:53:40right,
00:53:40okay,
00:53:40I'll never
00:53:40gander it,
00:53:41but I
00:53:41know,
00:53:42not quite
00:53:42done it.
00:53:43Yeah,
00:53:43and,
00:53:43and,
00:53:44absolutely.
00:53:44It's a
00:53:45busy day,
00:53:45you know what
00:53:45I mean,
00:53:45someone's
00:53:45like
00:53:46grafting
00:53:46Peter,
00:53:46man,
00:53:46it's not
00:53:47like
00:53:47the
00:53:47bullion
00:53:48watching
00:53:48the
00:53:49bulls
00:53:49or the
00:53:50downhill
00:53:50skiing.
00:53:51Okay,
00:53:51Ruffy,
00:53:52let's go to
00:53:53the last
00:53:53game,
00:53:54Dunya
00:53:5418-1,
00:54:04it's not
00:54:05in the
00:54:05corner enough
00:54:05for me,
00:54:06the goalie's,
00:54:07if he goes
00:54:08the right
00:54:09way and
00:54:09goes a wee
00:54:09bit early
00:54:10is there
00:54:10going to be
00:54:10a chance
00:54:10of saving it.
00:54:11I think
00:54:11Jim Goodwin
00:54:12summed it
00:54:12up perfectly,
00:54:13he's working
00:54:14and he's
00:54:14going to
00:54:14have to
00:54:15work on
00:54:15the defence,
00:54:16you're 1-0
00:54:17up,
00:54:17see it out.
00:54:18Yeah,
00:54:19they should
00:54:19have,
00:54:20they should
00:54:20have seen
00:54:20it out,
00:54:21they were
00:54:21playing the
00:54:21commandment
00:54:21with 10
00:54:22men as
00:54:22well,
00:54:22so,
00:54:23yeah,
00:54:24I don't
00:54:24think it
00:54:24was ever
00:54:25going to
00:54:25be a
00:54:25classic on
00:54:26that park,
00:54:26I think
00:54:26the pitch
00:54:27is poor
00:54:28at Tannadice
00:54:28at the
00:54:28minute.
00:54:29How bad
00:54:29is it?
00:54:29Boy,
00:54:30Fatter's
00:54:30goal was
00:54:30incredible,
00:54:31fantastic
00:54:32goal,
00:54:32fantastic
00:54:32goal.
00:54:33No,
00:54:34fantastic
00:54:35goal,
00:54:36but,
00:54:37listen,
00:54:37Commander
00:54:38are picking
00:54:39up points,
00:54:41Undervening.
00:54:42He's making
00:54:42it interesting,
00:54:43Neil.
00:54:45Another good
00:54:46point for him.
00:54:46I think
00:54:47that point
00:54:47is interesting
00:54:48because it
00:54:49actually drags
00:54:50St Mirren,
00:54:51I think it's
00:54:52two points
00:54:52now,
00:54:53so they're
00:54:54getting dragged
00:54:55towards it.
00:54:55I think
00:54:56St Mirren
00:54:56was 1-1
00:54:57in 13,
00:54:58which isn't
00:54:59particularly
00:55:00great for him.
00:55:01I don't
00:55:01think he's
00:55:01getting enough
00:55:02credit,
00:55:02Neil McCann,
00:55:03for the fact
00:55:03that when
00:55:04they were
00:55:04eventually
00:55:05trying to
00:55:05get back
00:55:06into the
00:55:06game,
00:55:06some people
00:55:07say,
00:55:07oh,
00:55:07they've got
00:55:07big guys
00:55:08up front,
00:55:08they'll
00:55:08just launch
00:55:08it.
00:55:09He worked
00:55:10that ball
00:55:10out to
00:55:11the right.
00:55:11It's a good
00:55:11finish.
00:55:12I liked
00:55:12a little
00:55:13glancing
00:55:13header.
00:55:16Listen,
00:55:16I think
00:55:18he's obviously
00:55:19getting points
00:55:19on the board.
00:55:20It looks as
00:55:21if he's got
00:55:22the players.
00:55:23The boy
00:55:23last week
00:55:24got the
00:55:24injury.
00:55:27I'm not
00:55:28sure what
00:55:29that looks
00:55:30like.
00:55:30I didn't
00:55:30get an
00:55:31update from
00:55:32anyone to
00:55:33say,
00:55:33have you
00:55:33heard?
00:55:34No.
00:55:35Because again,
00:55:36that would
00:55:36be a real
00:55:37loss if
00:55:37there was
00:55:37any period
00:55:38of time
00:55:38because he
00:55:39was banging
00:55:40in the
00:55:40goals for
00:55:41them.
00:55:42I think
00:55:43even if
00:55:43they're still
00:55:45in the
00:55:45playoff
00:55:46place.
00:55:48I think
00:55:48anything.
00:55:49Once they
00:55:50get the
00:55:50playoffs,
00:55:51the bottom
00:55:52four are
00:55:53good enough
00:55:53to beat
00:55:53each other
00:55:54so it's
00:55:54going to
00:55:55swing.
00:55:55Just
00:55:55like the
00:55:56top,
00:55:56it's
00:55:56going to
00:55:56swing
00:55:57back
00:55:57and
00:55:58forward.
00:55:58So there's
00:55:59none of
00:56:00them.
00:56:01They're
00:56:01picking up
00:56:01points here
00:56:02and there
00:56:02but although
00:56:04Livingston
00:56:04did particularly
00:56:05well,
00:56:05I just
00:56:05can't see
00:56:06them.
00:56:07Can I
00:56:08see the
00:56:10Dundee
00:56:10to
00:56:11Kermarnock
00:56:12is at
00:56:12six points?
00:56:14In the
00:56:14table?
00:56:15Yeah,
00:56:15because I
00:56:15was thinking
00:56:15to myself,
00:56:16if Kermarnock
00:56:17could win
00:56:17one of
00:56:18them,
00:56:19then we
00:56:19just leapfrog
00:56:19St Mirren
00:56:20and then
00:56:21it would
00:56:21be reduced
00:56:22to three
00:56:23points.
00:56:23So as
00:56:23much as
00:56:24we're
00:56:24saying
00:56:24Elvis
00:56:24is out
00:56:25the woods.
00:56:26They're
00:56:27not out
00:56:27the woods
00:56:27at all.
00:56:28They're
00:56:28not out
00:56:28the woods.
00:56:30You don't
00:56:31let your
00:56:32eyes deceive
00:56:33you when
00:56:33you're
00:56:33watching
00:56:33what
00:56:34they're
00:56:34doing.
00:56:34The teams,
00:56:35you know,
00:56:35and you're
00:56:36saying to
00:56:36yourself,
00:56:37Dundee
00:56:37have certainly
00:56:38got something
00:56:38about them
00:56:39and they've
00:56:40got Murray
00:56:40who's capable
00:56:40of scoring
00:56:41goals.
00:56:42Haraldon's
00:56:43scoring.
00:56:43I think
00:56:44Dundee
00:56:45have shown
00:56:45a really
00:56:46nice upturn
00:56:47in results
00:56:48and things.
00:56:49However,
00:56:49what my
00:56:49point is,
00:56:50if Kermarnock
00:56:52again,
00:56:53we all
00:56:53agree that
00:56:54they're
00:56:54starting to
00:56:54make moves
00:56:55and doing
00:56:55okay,
00:56:56if they
00:56:56can get
00:56:57a win,
00:56:58Dundee,
00:56:59St Mirren,
00:56:59and Kelly,
00:57:00and the
00:57:01Dons get
00:57:01dragged in
00:57:01because what
00:57:02are they?
00:57:02Aberdeen are
00:57:03seven points
00:57:03ahead.
00:57:04They're not
00:57:04a point ahead
00:57:05of Dundee now.
00:57:06I think
00:57:07Aberdeen are
00:57:08open to real
00:57:08criticism from
00:57:09their board
00:57:09ruffy.
00:57:10I think
00:57:10if the owner
00:57:11came out this
00:57:12morning and said
00:57:13there's going
00:57:13a wee hiccup
00:57:14somewhere,
00:57:14that's obviously
00:57:15going to be
00:57:16contractual or
00:57:16something like
00:57:17that.
00:57:17It's not good
00:57:17enough for a
00:57:18club of
00:57:18Aberdeen.
00:57:18Was it the
00:57:193rd of
00:57:19January,
00:57:19Pedro,
00:57:21when he
00:57:21got rid of
00:57:22the...
00:57:23It's not
00:57:23good.
00:57:24No,
00:57:25the thing is,
00:57:26it looked to
00:57:26me as if
00:57:27they were
00:57:27waiting for
00:57:27the summer.
00:57:27They've
00:57:28given up
00:57:28top six.
00:57:29It looks
00:57:30as if that's
00:57:31insurmountable.
00:57:31Lack of
00:57:32ambition,
00:57:32Tom.
00:57:33As I said
00:57:34to you,
00:57:35they're at
00:57:36Tyne Castle
00:57:36on Saturday.
00:57:37I don't see
00:57:37them getting
00:57:38anything out of
00:57:38that game.
00:57:39If Kermarnock
00:57:43you back in.
00:57:43All of a sudden
00:57:43they're looking
00:57:44over their
00:57:45shoulder.
00:57:45OK,
00:57:46the quiz from
00:57:47Elite Joinery
00:57:47and Fire
00:57:48Protection,
00:57:48who was the
00:57:49last manager
00:57:49to win at
00:57:50Celtic Park?
00:57:51It was,
00:57:52of course,
00:57:52John Yogi
00:57:53Hughes.
00:57:53And it was
00:57:5410,
00:57:55big Yogi,
00:57:56who also
00:57:56played a
00:57:57brand of
00:57:57football that
00:57:58I thought was
00:57:58very good on
00:57:59the eye.
00:58:00So,
00:58:01yeah,
00:58:02that's the
00:58:02answer to
00:58:02the quiz.
00:58:03A couple of
00:58:03things I want
00:58:04to get your
00:58:04thoughts on,
00:58:05lads,
00:58:05before we go,
00:58:05because it's
00:58:06been an
00:58:06absolute joy,
00:58:07lots of
00:58:07opinion,
00:58:08lots of
00:58:08disagreements,
00:58:09which is what
00:58:09the programme
00:58:10is about.
00:58:10And by the
00:58:11way,
00:58:11can I just
00:58:11thank everyone
00:58:12who are
00:58:12actually on
00:58:13our feed
00:58:14and who
00:58:14posts us
00:58:15messages as
00:58:15well.
00:58:16We've got a
00:58:17guy,
00:58:17Liam Hodgson,
00:58:19who...
00:58:19Hodgie?
00:58:20Yeah,
00:58:20Hodgmeister,
00:58:24who is from
00:58:26Pather to
00:58:27Papamoa Beach
00:58:28in the Bay of
00:58:29Plenty in
00:58:29New Zealand.
00:58:30Bay of Plenty?
00:58:31That's not a
00:58:32bad...
00:58:32I thought it was
00:58:32the Savoy.
00:58:33So,
00:58:33he was there
00:58:34originally in
00:58:35the Savoy,
00:58:36but he has
00:58:38mentioned,
00:58:38he gave us
00:58:39his thoughts
00:58:39on everything
00:58:41from Slattery
00:58:42to Celtic
00:58:42to Livingston.
00:58:44Thank you
00:58:44very much
00:58:44for supporting
00:58:46us,
00:58:46especially down
00:58:47there.
00:58:47And he says,
00:58:47I love PLZ,
00:58:48it keeps us
00:58:49right up to
00:58:49date with
00:58:50everything.
00:58:50And lots of
00:58:51people have
00:58:51posted nice
00:58:52things like
00:58:52that,
00:58:52so we're
00:58:53really indebted
00:58:54to you for
00:58:54it,
00:58:54for your
00:58:55compliments,
00:58:55as well as
00:58:56the people
00:58:56who hammer
00:58:57us as
00:58:57well.
00:58:57We like
00:58:57that too.
00:58:59Gianluca Prestiani
00:58:59suspended by
00:59:00UF,
00:59:01I don't think
00:59:01there's any
00:59:01doubt about
00:59:02that,
00:59:02Tam.
00:59:03There's an
00:59:03investigation
00:59:04ongoing,
00:59:04it's an
00:59:05allegation of
00:59:05racism,
00:59:06and some
00:59:07people's
00:59:08coverage of
00:59:08it has been
00:59:09poor.
00:59:10Yeah,
00:59:10I don't think
00:59:10Jose Mourinho's
00:59:11covered himself
00:59:11in glory in
00:59:12this situation,
00:59:13and they were
00:59:14talking about
00:59:14him playing
00:59:15in the second
00:59:15leg in the
00:59:17Bernabeu,
00:59:17you know,
00:59:18that's going
00:59:18to be,
00:59:19that would
00:59:19have been
00:59:19powder keg
00:59:20stuff,
00:59:20you know,
00:59:21in terms of
00:59:21him going
00:59:21up against
00:59:22Vinnie Jr.
00:59:23He'd have
00:59:23safety issues
00:59:24there,
00:59:24we don't
00:59:24imagine.
00:59:24So I'm
00:59:25no surprise
00:59:25that they've
00:59:26suspended him,
00:59:26I think that's
00:59:27for the best,
00:59:28until they
00:59:29investigate it.
00:59:30And thank
00:59:30you from
00:59:31Houston,
00:59:31Texas,
00:59:32says Chris
00:59:32Fraser.
00:59:33That's the
00:59:33thing about
00:59:34it.
