The suspension of several Human Resources Development Corporation (HRD Corp) members is not a “clean-up” exercise, says Human Resources Minister R. Ramanan.

Speaking on Monday (Feb 23), Ramanan stressed that restructuring is aimed at strengthening governance, with only qualified individuals to be appointed — regardless of political affiliation.

He added that ongoing investigations into alleged misconduct involving the suspended members must conclude before reforms are implemented.

02:43But, like in any large organisation, it's a billion dollar organisation,
02:49and in any such organisation, there is always room for improving and betterment.
02:54So, it will be a continuous process.
