00:00An internationalist brigade composed of activists and human rights defenders
00:06concluded its journey in the emblematic 23 de Nero Parish of Caracas.
00:12During the journey on Saturday, these foreign guests visited El Panal Camune,
00:18located in that parish. With calls for an end to the war and respect for the
00:25determination of peoples, the Internationalist Brigade concludes its visit leaving a message
00:32of Latin American unity and a promise to continue the fight against U.S. interventionists.
00:39In this context, an exclusive statement to TELUSUR called PIN leader Medea Benjamin
00:45condemned Washington's attacks and reiterated the call for the return of the kidnapped President
00:52Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Celia Flores.
00:58And I think we also recognize how January 3rd was just one more phase in the U.S. attempt
01:06to destroy this process, that the sanctions have been going on for so many years, have
01:12created so many problems for people. And, you know, they create scarcity through the sanctions
01:18and then blame the government for the scarcity. And many people believe that. So it's hard
01:24to change the narrative. But I also think that we understand more just how destructive U.S. policies
01:34have been and how destructive they are now. And what responsibility we have to go back to
01:39the United States and call for the freedom of Maduro and Celia Flores to call for recognition
01:46vaccination and to call for lifting of the sanctions.æˆȘ
