00:00Yankees, Blue Jays, Red Sox, Orioles, and Rays in order here, plus 180 all the way down to 20-1.
00:05And it's no surprise, Tom. It is the Yankees at a plus 180 here, closely followed by the Toronto Blue
00:10Jays and also the Boston Red Sox.
00:12I think it's going to be absolute theater watching those three teams this year battle back and forth.
00:17I'm not going to leave out the Baltimore Orioles, even though that pitching staff's a little bit lackluster.
00:20I like that lineup, but there's always the Rays lurking, being that thorn in the side at 20-1.
00:25But if we look at the top of the standings here, odds-wise, Yankees, Blue Jays, and Red Sox right
00:30there.
00:30Is it the Yankees for you?
00:33It's not. I think the answer for me is the Blue Jays yet again, but I don't love the number
00:38on the Blue Jays.
00:39So, you know, you alluded to when we were going over the Blue Jays, is there going to be a
00:44little bit of a World Series hangover,
00:45you know, team starts slow, whatever.
00:47So, you know, I haven't placed any season-long MLB bets, but I'm almost willing to wait on the Blue
00:52Jays.
00:52And I honestly hope they start off slow, and I can get them closer at 3.5 or 4-1
00:56to win the AL East.
00:58Then I will be actively looking to buy notes.
01:00This is something that we're going to discuss as March and April and May move on.
01:03But if the Blue Jays start off slow, give me them at a 3.5 or 4-4 number, and
01:07I will absolutely bet on them to win the AL East.
01:09Like, I do think it's interesting.
01:11And again, as you look at those odds price points, it's not like, okay, plus 120, the next team is
01:144-1.
01:15Like, those top three teams are toe-to-to-to-toe.
01:18And I love the moves that the Boston Red Sox make.
01:19Now, granted, they need some younger players to step up, but you get certainly serviceable pitching to top-end pitching
01:25in that rotation
01:26when you get Ranger Suarez over if he stays healthy and the back isn't an issue.
01:29I like the way they set up.
01:30And again, the Blue Jays, heart of a champion last year.
01:33I mean, sometimes we look at that world team, oh, you have, what, did the Dodgers win 4-1?
01:37No!
01:37That was game seven.
01:38Unbelievable.
01:39And also, you had a lead going back to Toronto.
01:41You just needed to pick up a winning game six or seven, and you could have won that year.
01:45The question, though, is again, what are we getting out of the Rays?
01:47It's more of that fodder team where they're back in the trough, and it's just boring at this point.
01:50But the Orioles, again, picture this at a plus 430.
01:53I don't know, Tom, if they have enough to win this division, but they're going to be a fun team
01:57to bet all the way through the season.
01:58I just like that lineup overall.
02:00But for some reason, for me, I look at that Red Sox and say, is there a chance, if they
02:04get off to a hot start, can they carry this division?
02:07I would say the same thing about the Orioles.
02:09I don't know if they're good enough to win the division, but I know they're good enough to cause an
02:13issue for the other teams.
02:14That's a clear thing, that late season, if the Yankees are playing the Blue Jays and, you know, they need
02:20to pick up X amount of wins,
02:21it's like maybe if the Orioles then have to play the Blue Jays next, the Orioles are going to be
02:24the team that actually causes more trouble for the Blue Jays
02:27because they're worried about the Yankees.
02:28So, like, this dynamic of these three and a half teams is going to be very interesting as the season
02:33unfolds.
