00:00We're going to start with those Detroit Tigers here. Keith, Torres, Carpenter, Green, Torkelson,
00:04Perez, McKinstry, Dingler, and Meadows. They might not be household names to you, Tom,
00:08but I know a lot of the times Carpenter, Green, and Torkelson, we're going to be loading those
00:12bad boys up. Yeah, this is a lineup that you and I both really like and we have for a
00:18couple years.
00:18There's plenty of power in this lineup. You know, Gleyber Torres had a good season last year. He
00:22gets on base. He's a patient at the plate. Carpenter, Green, Torkelson have a ton of power,
00:28which we'd love to see, especially when you go righty, lefty, righty with those guys.
00:32And then, Donnie, when it comes to rotation, this is the thing we've always talked about with them as
00:36well. Yeah, I love the rotation. Look, and again, projecting towards the playoffs. This is the team
00:42that should get to the playoffs and you don't want to have a one-two punch that starts with
00:45Scooble and Valdez. Valdez comes over for big money. Arbitration didn't work out in Detroit's
00:49favor, which is ridiculous. And of course, Tarek Scooble is going to get paid. You need a bounce
00:53back from Flaherty, Tom, last year, 4.64 ERA. Verlander signed as that extra arm to eat.
00:58But if they are going to make the playoffs, Scooble and Valdez, as good as it gets in
01:02baseball. It really is. You could say that they are one of the two or three best one-two
01:09punches when it comes to the AL getting past Detroit. I assume for Detroit to get past
01:14potentially Seattle again and or the Yankees. But that line, that rotation and that line of
01:20combination, I think makes them the best team in the AL Central. They're not leaps and bounds
01:23better than other teams, but I do think they are the best team in the AL Central.
