00:03I started the songwriting business, and I was doing jingles for businesses,
00:07custom songs for fans, and I wanted to put together some kind of promotional video
00:12that a buddy of mine did over the course of this week of putting the video together.
00:16He just kept hammering me about, you should do a podcast.
00:19This is about four months into COVID, where every lead singer of a band was doing a podcast,
00:24and I was like, oh, man, I don't want to be that guy.
00:27And he said, no, it'll be songwriting specific.
00:30You'll pick one artist who has an iconic song, and you'll break it down top to bottom with the artist.
00:36You'll get the story.
00:37And I slept on it the next morning.
00:39I was sold.
00:40Don't think of it as being that guy.
00:42It's really interesting to listen to other people's thoughts and original ideas.
00:49Okay, podcasting is not huge money.
00:51That's not why I do it.
00:52It is a passion project at this point.
