00:00I recently published a video on how you can generate a random number in two decimal place.
00:04However, someone had made a comment that you can simply use a RAND function and change the cell
00:09formatting to percentage and two decimal place. Well, this is how I do it. This is going to start
00:13off with equal RAND and use this RAND function and hit enter. What this does is that it generates
00:20a number between zero and one. Zero obviously being zero percent and one being 100 percent.
00:25Now, select the same cell again. Press CTRL-1 to open cell formatting. On this pop-up here,
00:32make sure you are in a numbers tab. Select percentage and then select the number of
00:37decimal place you want using this up and down arrow key. I'm going to use two decimal place
00:42and hit OK. Now you can see if you refresh or recalculate your spreadsheet, you can see that
00:47it regenerates the random percentage. Now all you have to do is simply apply the same formula
00:52and self-format it into the rest of the row and you're done.
