00:01I think history, when I left office, someone gave me a copy of a book by a professor called
00:08Jeffrey Ding called Technology and Great Powers. And it looks at the history of these great
00:13technological revolutions and proves out the thesis that even if you're the country that
00:20didn't invent this great technology, you could be the country that benefited from it the most,
00:25stretching all the way back to the printing press. And I think actually India has recognized that
00:32leadership in technology doesn't just depend on inventing the technology, it's about how
00:37effectively you deploy it. And so by focusing on mass adoption here, I think obviously supported
00:43by a deep talent pool, strong digital public infrastructure, and a public which is very
00:48supportive of the technology. I think India is well positioned to be a leader in AI and actually
00:56demonstrate mass adoption and deployment in society. And I think actually that is reflected
01:02now in how other people view it. If you look at Stanford's rankings of global AI superpowers,
01:10India's moved into third place. And I think that demonstrates that this focus on adoption
01:14and deployment is working here. And I certainly think that that is the way that you are going
01:20to bring the most impact to the most people by focusing on that side of things.
