00:04and I have with me Marisa Jurats, Ambassador of Netherlands to India.
00:08Thank you so much for speaking with AsiaNet News.
00:10I heard you speaking inside and you talk about how you look forward to India hosting AI Impact Summit next year.
00:17What do you have to say about that?
00:19Yes, well, we're all very excited that India is going to organize the Impact Summit.
00:24We also commend India for choosing the word impact because that's what we need.
00:29We need to come together and to look for impact, talk about the opportunities, talk about the risks, come together, align our policies, talk about regulation,
00:40but also include industry, include the research institutes to take further steps.
00:47And we have great confidence in India doing a wonderful job because India proved already that they can actually use technology for the advancement,
00:56for the social advancement of your country.
00:59And also you have such shown the world great leadership in organizing all these summits for the G20 that we think we're in very safe hands.
01:09You also spoke about how you look forward to attending the summit along with a lot of CEOs from your country.
01:14Yes, yes.
01:15Our Prime Minister is coming.
01:16Prime Minister's hope will be coming.
01:18The CEO from Philips will be joining him.
01:20There will be other CEOs who will be in the delegation as well.
01:24And we also hope that some people from our technical universities can join us because that's what we should do.
01:30We should actually combine government with industry and the research institutes and then we can solve any problem.
01:37What collaboration can we see in that area, area of AI?
01:40Because there's so many sectors where we can make use of AI.
01:43Yeah, yeah, as you say, I mean, AI is like electricity, it's like the internet, it's actually a tool, it's a technology that we see in every single sector.
01:54So I think if you look at sectors like health, healthcare or agriculture, it can do so much good for humanity.
02:02And I think if we bring the experts together, I'm sure that it will come up with lots of very good and concrete plans.
02:11We, bilaterally, between India and the Netherlands, we have a new MOU on key enabling technologies, where we will work together on semiconductors, but also on AI.
02:23And it's our universities, our technical universities, together with six IITs, who also made a memorandum of cooperation that they call BrainBridge, where they will connect the smart students and professors to look for solutions.
02:39That's so much of collaboration that we'll see between both the countries.
02:42Thank you so much, Ambassador.
02:44Thank you so much.
