00:03Hi, welcome back for our last segment.
00:07And this presentation will be very interesting.
00:11So this is a company called Wounded Women.
00:16And the topic is scarring.
00:20And so scar is the new perfection.
00:22Wounded Women accompanies all women suffering from scars
00:26to bring comfort to their daily lives.
00:30Here, to tell you more, is Audrey.
00:36Welcome, please.
00:41Hi, everyone.
00:43How was your first day at Vivatech?
00:46Mine was amazing.
00:49I wanted to ask you what these women have in common.
00:53What do you think they have in common?
00:56Yes, they are smiling.
00:58Yes, they seem happy.
01:00They are almost wearing the same T-shirt.
01:04I will tell you what they have in common.
01:06They have in common that they are living with a silent pain.
01:11A silent pain of having surgery, mainly here, Bailey surgeries,
01:16after C-section, or after abdominal surgery, due to ovarian, uterus, colon cancer, endometriosis,
01:26or either surgical or clinical disease,
01:29or also because they have skin cancer.
01:34They can also have surgeries for reconstructive surgery as a body lift, for example.
01:41A silent pain, because when you have that kind of scars, you cannot dress properly.
01:48And you cannot really explain to your employer, your family, or your friends, why you cannot go out, and why
01:56you feel like shit.
01:57Because, really, you don't like your body.
02:02I would like to ask you if you are- I'm sorry if you are shocked, but you have to
02:07see that.
02:09I don't know if you have already seen a C-section scar.
02:12This is a C-section scar, day one.
02:16Women with a C-section scar have no support after delivering the baby with a C-section,
02:23and they have a scar between 12 or 20 centimeters.
02:28I have to tell you that in France, the women with a C-section doesn't have a longer relief from
02:37work than other women.
02:39I think everything is in the picture.
02:44I don't know if you have already seen a scar for a surgical abdominal surgery, for example, with a laparotomy.
02:52This is the scar.
02:5780 million women worldwide are affected by scars because of C-sections, abdominal surgeries for cancer,
03:06for skin disease, they cannot dress, they cannot wear anything, for body lifts, as I said,
03:15or for digestive or genital pain, who are invisible.
03:21In France, it's one for five women who have baby by C-sections.
03:36It's 30 million women per year worldwide.
03:41I'm sure you didn't know the figures.
03:44When you have that kind of scars, you cannot dress, you cannot go back to work.
03:49And I had a lot, a lot of testimonies today.
03:53And I have to tell you, I didn't expect it to have so much testimonies today on VivaTech.
03:59I thought really that that kind of testimonies were more dedicated to my daily work.
04:06And I can tell you here that a lot of women are affected already.
04:11Or men have women in their life affected by that kind of pain or difficulties.
04:19So thank you for everyone who came today on our booth on Impact Mile.
04:24That's why I created Winded Women.
04:27I created Winded Women to help and support women in this journey, the after surgery journey,
04:32and also the day-to-day care, because it's not just a matter of two or three or four weeks.
04:38The figures are really, really critical today.
04:42I don't know if you know that in France,
04:46the first reason of, I mean, the first reason of death for women in France
04:52is suicide in the first year of the child.
04:56I'm sorry for my English, but I think you understood.
05:00I mean, I had a C-section, I didn't hear that.
05:04I mean, nobody told me that.
05:07If it's so high and we are not talking about it because we don't want to hear it.
05:13We have to help women with physical pain and physical scars,
05:19because if we don't, it becomes a psychological and an emotional scar.
05:24So I created Winded Women for women with T-section and also all other women with abdominal surgery.
05:31Like here, Aria has three cancer, colon cancer.
05:37It's innovative underwear to help women to relieve and maintain the belly.
05:42And as we can see here, wear jeans, which is impossible when you have a belly scar.
05:48I also created Wounded Women to support the women in their whole recovery journey,
05:55thanks to day-to-day care guide and recommendations with my medical board of 12 professionals.
06:03So you can find on our website, here it is in French, sorry for the picture,
06:09but you can find a lot of information.
06:11And in a few weeks, we'll have digital tools for women, professionals and even for employers
06:17to help better the women to go through this really difficult journey.
06:22I'm also training the drugstores and the professionals on how they can support and help the women.
06:28For example, going to a physiotherapist, a psychologist, doing some yoga, some adapted sports,
06:39everything we are not really thinking about in a surgical recovery.
06:43I'm working with the hospital, the professional and my medical board,
06:47but also more than 100 professionals in my network.
06:50And you're welcome to come, of course.
06:52We have to grow and we have to help maximum of women.
06:57So Wounded Women is based on the professional we are working on,
07:00our innovative pensies and day-to-day care,
07:04thanks to the all patient community that we have today.
07:07Also with a really strong and loving partners,
07:12which are helping me developing the fabric and the underwear,
07:18mainly and 100% French. So I'm really proud of that.
07:24So yes, I would like to thank you for your attention.
07:28I'm Audrey. I'm the CEO and founder of Wounded Women.
07:31I'm a C-section mom and a two cancer fighter.
07:34So join us in our fight and think about the women around you and help them. Thank you.
07:44Hi, thank you. Thank you, Audrey.
07:46Yeah, let's stick around for a few questions.
07:48Okay, so anyone have any questions for Audrey from the audience?
07:54Yeah. Okay. Yeah, please speak into the microphone very closely to it. Yeah.
08:02Just wondering, this kind of product is only for the surgery in the belly, right?
08:07Yes. Sorry, the product?
08:09The product is only for the surgery in the belly.
08:12Yes. Today, as we are speaking, it's only two kinds of underwear, yes, for belly scars.
08:18But tomorrow, we have other products to come.
08:22Okay, because I work in the plastic surgery aesthetic industry,
08:28and a lot of women, they have a scar also in the face after the surgery.
08:35Okay, so our products are today dedicated to belly scars.
08:42But all what we are doing for the day-to-day care journey, it's for all kinds of scars.
08:48Okay.
08:49It's every scar.
08:50Okay.
08:50For women or men, actually, or child.
08:52I mean, it's a general guide and recommendation of the journey.
08:56But as C-section is, you know, we say that you have a C-section, you had, okay, you gave
09:03birth,
09:04but you also have been operated.
09:05But at the same time, you don't have the day-to-day recommendations and guidance
09:09as are operated women. So that's why I'm talking a lot about that.
09:14Okay.
09:15But all of our guidance and recommendations are for all kinds of scars.
09:18Okay, that's great.
09:19Because you also need to take care of your scar on your face or so.
09:22Yeah, yeah, yeah.
09:23Yes, to mobilize, yes, yes, yes.
09:25Okay, and we're looking to your standard to look more.
09:29Yeah, yeah, you're welcome. It's at the end of Impact Mile.
09:31Okay, thank you.
09:32Thank you very much.
09:34So basically, so it's an item of clothing to help cover the healing during the healing process
09:41of the initial scar, if it's like a C-section or something like that.
09:44But also, you were talking about other things that you're offering like follow-up therapies
09:53or you mentioned, for example, visiting people.
09:58Yeah, yeah, yeah.
10:00It's not just about the clothing, right?
10:02No, it's not about the clothing. It's also about the guides and recommendations
10:07that we are doing on our websites and our social media and very soon in digital tools.
10:14Okay, so you're giving information, you've been in education.
10:17That's why I say that the recommendations and guides we are doing today is actually for all kinds of scars.
10:24I had a skin cancer on my face and at that time, I would appreciate to know that I can
10:30go to a
10:31physiotherapist just to mobilize my face or to protect you from the sun, stuff like this.
10:36So yeah, I have one here actually.
10:39Really?
10:40Yeah.
10:41Wow, so you're a riot too.
10:43I need to give you this too.
10:44This one.
10:45I've got a big one here, big scar here.
10:47I had it all my life.
10:50Yeah, you're a riot too.
10:51Since I was like 18 months.
10:54Ah, 18 months?
10:55Yeah, yeah, I was very young when I was done.
10:56It was part of you all of your life.
10:59Yeah, I keep forgetting about it.
11:01Any other questions?
11:06Okay.
11:08Okay, so when did you start this adventure?
11:12When did it start for you?
11:13One year ago.
11:14Actually, one year and a half ago and it's commercialized for a year now.
11:21And I decided to create Wounded Women after my C-section.
11:26Okay, all right.
11:28Well, keep up the good work, ladies and gentlemen.
11:30Thank you very much.
11:31Audrey from Wounded Women.
11:32Thank you.
11:37All right, so that's it.
11:40So thank you everyone for still being here.
11:45I don't imagine you were the same audience when we started, wow, like eight hours ago
11:51when we had Frankie Zapata like with something that flies.
11:54But it's been a wonderful day.
11:56We have three more days ahead of us.
11:58So two more days with the professional salon and then, of course, the open to the public
12:04on Saturday in French.
12:06I hope that you've had a good day.
12:08I hope that you continue to enjoy the experience.
12:12And if you're here tomorrow, please don't hesitate to come back and see us.
12:17Have a good one and good evening.
12:19Thank you.
