00:05Today, we will learn the pillars of prayer.
00:07First, Qiyam or standing.
00:09While obligatory in Fard, in Nafal prayers, sitting is allowed without an excuse.
00:15Second is Qira'ah, reciting the Holy Qur'an.
00:18At least one verse is obligatory, and Surah Al-Fatiha is wajib in most raqqaz.
00:23Remember, Fajr is recited aloud while Zur is quiet.
00:26Crucially, the tongue must move. Mental recitation is not enough.
00:31Third is Ruku, bending until the hands reach the knees.
00:35Fourth is Sujud, forehead on the ground.
00:38Both Sujud are absolutely obligatory.
00:41Practice these with care for a correct prayer.
00:43May Allah accept our worship.
