00:01Yang Di Pertawan Agung Sultan Ibrahim today warned that no government agency or department
00:06is exempt from his mission to combat corruption including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
00:12In a statement to the Royal Press Office, Sultan Ibrahim said that more individuals were now on
00:17his radar in his battle against graft and that corruption was a betrayal of public trust and
00:22would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He cautioned that the fight was not limited to
00:28certain departments and that those in the police, immigration, customs and other agencies as well
00:34as MACC were not exempt. Sultan Ibrahim also warned middlemen and suppliers of equipment, uniforms and
00:41medical necessities who were involved in corrupt practices that they too were on his radar. He
00:48added that officers who failed to act with integrity might be reassigned to make way for those who are
00:53honest and qualified. The statement came three weeks after Prime Minister Anway Ibrahim told
00:59enforcement officers to step aside if they were not serious about combating corruption and smuggling.
