U.S. Central Command carried out sustained air operations against ISIS in Syria from February 3 to 12, striking more than 30 targets with precision munitions. The attacks focused on infrastructure, weapons depots, and operational sites across multiple regions. Earlier strikes between January 27 and February 2 targeted communications hubs, logistics networks, and storage facilities to disrupt ISIS planning and coordination.
The campaign intensified after a December 13 ISIS ambush near Palmyra killed two U.S. troops and an interpreter. Since then, over 50 ISIS fighters have been killed or captured, and around 100 infrastructure targets destroyed, as Operation Hawkeye Strike aims to degrade the group’s operational capacity and prevent future attacks.
