The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has identified 19 suspected fake accounts that shared inappropriate content during a live broadcast of a Parliamentary sitting.

Speaking at his weekly press conference on Friday (Feb 13), Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil cited a local English-language newspaper report from last Sunday which highlighted how the live stream had become a platform for hate speech and misinformation, prompting calls for proactive action.
