01:36Welcome back to the NBA on Prime presented by Wingstop.
01:41Third quarter about to get underway.
01:44Milwaukee with a 67-55 advantage at the break.
01:48Welcome back inside Paycom Center.
01:50Michael Grady, Brent Berry.
01:51We saw a competitive game and a really strong effort from Milwaukee in the first two quarters.
01:55Yeah, a very composed effort by the Milwaukee Bucks coming in here, taking care of the basketball.
02:00And how about a little bit of homecoming for Uzman Jang, who has played well.
02:049.7 rebounds, knocked down a few shots.
02:07The Bucks are playing with a little bit of juice and OKC is going to have to pick up the defense.
02:12Two 30-plus point quarters from the Bucks on this OKC team here at home.
02:17Let's take a look at our first half stats presented by Kia.
02:21Milwaukee shooting 58% from the floor.
02:25They knocked down 10 triples.
02:27They are the second-best three-point shooting team in the NBA in terms of percentage.
02:32They have a 12-point advantage.
02:34Let's send it over to our Christina Pink with Kyle Kuzma.
02:38All right, thank you.
02:40Kuz, 14 points for you in the first half.
02:42A couple of threes, a couple of and ones.
02:44Just what have you liked about your finishing?
02:46I think we're just playing as a team right now.
02:49Everybody's, you know, falling in line and we're playing collectively.
02:52And I think the ball is just popping and finding me, so.
02:54Well, yeah, and you guys were shot lights out in that first half.
02:58How do you keep it going in the second?
03:00Pray.
03:01Yeah, we got to pray.
03:01We pray we keep it together.
03:03Keep the ball moving, play as a team, and trust each other.
03:05All right, thanks so much.
03:06Yep, no problem.
03:09Thank you, KP.
03:10Again, Kuzma, all of his 14 points coming in that second quarter.
03:16Third quarter begins with a foul on Lou Dort.
03:20That's his second foul in this ballgame.
03:22Porter, rolling to the rim, slotted, and secured by Holmgren.
03:31Here's Isaiah Joe.
03:32He had 11 points in the first half.
03:35Holmgren now on the drive, outside, Dort for three.
03:39Good.
03:40He needed that when he was 0 for 3 before that make.
03:4522 three-point attempts for OKC, so 21 at the half with a lot of guys who are not known to be three-point shooters.
03:53So the zone has done it, and Milwaukee has made them shoot from three.
03:57They've got to start knocking them down.
04:00Green partially blocked by Wallace.
04:03A couple of defensive studs with some swats to start this third quarter for OKC.
04:11Joe, high arcing triple long go, and it's knocked out of bounds, last touched by the Thunder.
04:18It was so quiet in the second quarter was Isaiah Joe, I think, early on in this third period.
04:24He just wants to come out and field the ball again.
04:26Tough three over Jericho Sims early in the offense.
04:31Nine-point ballgame.
04:35Jay, cut off by Dort.
04:37Kuzma, no good, and OKC comes out of there with it.
04:54They've trailed by as many as 18 in this ballgame.
04:58Dort in and out, and Sims got up for the rebound.
05:02Sims was 6-for-6 last night, sets the screen on Williams.
05:15A.J. Green over to Kuzma.
05:18Hard drive, the floater won't go.
05:20Kuzma's put-back attempt blocked by Wallace.
05:23How about the timing of Kaysen Wallace to anticipate that Kuzma's going to shoot on the rebound?
05:29Wow.
05:30The instinct's ridiculous.
05:32Home grip.
05:34Doing battle with Jang, gave it up.
05:36Ken Rich Williams off the heel.
05:40And tap over to Sims, and Porter will bring it up for Milwaukee.
05:48Porter, heart attack to the rim, got it to Sims for the easy deuce.
05:52Great job by Kevin Porter, Jr., with the late delivery, just reading Chet the whole way,
05:58and knowing that Sims on the back end, he's going to clean up any mess.
06:01That's why Sims is shooting 82% from the floor on the season.
06:06He's 3-for-4 in this ballgame.
06:08Hard drive by Dort, the discard, and got the jumper.
06:16He's a strong man.
06:1769-60, Milwaukee.
06:25Porter.
06:28On the move, off balance, tough jumper, got it to go.
06:32How about him just playing a little peek-a-boo behind the screen with Sims,
06:36and then found that gap in the middle for the mid-range shot.
06:41Dort flips it up and off.
06:43Williams couldn't save it, stepped out of bounds.
06:45It'll be Milwaukee ball.
06:49Again, the late delivery, drawing Chet over,
06:53and as soon as he got it over the top of the fingertips,
06:56Sims was going to clean it up.
06:57OKC just really, obviously, discombobulated on the offensive end,
07:01trying to find somebody to initiate what they're trying to do.
07:06Oh, Porter, the spin.
07:07Dump off to Sims.
07:09Sims had trouble corralling it.
07:11Jeng has it.
07:12Porter in the corner.
07:13Baseline drive, couldn't get it to go.
07:17Suffocating defense from Chet Holmgren.
07:21And Wallace couldn't secure it, lost it out of bounds.
07:26Eighth turnover of the ball game for OKC.
07:29They do a solid job of taking care of the rock.
07:33Defense!
07:33They average about 12 turnovers a game.
07:37That's second fewest in the association.
07:43Another solid screen by Sims.
07:46Dang.
07:46Quick release.
07:48Well off the mark.
07:52Dorton.
07:53On the move, runs right into Porter.
07:57Got it to drop.
07:58How is there no whistle on that play?
08:02I mean, there's like two guys jousting.
08:07And Dort won.
08:09Wow.
08:10Look at this collision.
08:11And somehow, Dort finds a way to get that ball to go.
08:24Back to live action in the very loud Paycom Center.
08:28One of the loudest in the NBA.
08:30Nine-point advantage for Milwaukee.
08:33Kuzma on the hard drive.
08:35Can't get it to drop.
08:37And Wiggins the rebound for the Thunder.
08:41Lou Dort has all the points for OKC here in this third quarter.
08:49Wallace.
08:51Wallace.
08:52Wallace, the runner is good.
08:55Okay, so the same kind of drive, Grady, that we talk about with guards
08:59playing with their head up.
09:00If nobody comes to stop the ball, you're going to stick with the float shot.
09:04He has to lob the Chet if there's any resistance from Sims.
09:07But that time, elected the floater and got it to go.
09:13They're within seven.
09:15Green.
09:16Short on a tray.
09:18And OKC trying to chip away.
09:21Wallace hit the accelerator.
09:23All balance out of bounds.
09:25Ninth turnover for the Thunder.
09:29Proud reacting.
09:30Thought he was pushed.
09:32Case in coming down.
09:33Had already beat the big.
09:35My mistake, AJ Green was back.
09:37And then here's the push.
09:38Watch the reach around that AJ gives.
09:41And we're going to review that play.
09:44Mark Dagnall crossed center court
09:46to make sure the officials saw he was challenging.
09:50Greenlight special here at OKC.
09:52Welcome back to the NBA on Prime presented by Wingstop.
09:57You can hear the bluebirds in the background.
10:01No proximity foul there.
10:03That was a lot of contact.
10:06Oh, no.
10:07No.
10:07OK.
10:08They're correcting it now.
10:09Tyler Ford said the ball was off of Case and Wallace.
10:12However, what was the proximity foul?
10:17There was a lot of contact there.
10:19You could see AJ Green's hand up on the shoulder.
10:21It was a question.
10:23Did Case and Wallace start to lose his footing before going out of bounds?
10:27So a good, successful challenge there.
10:33The crowd.
10:35We're coming back from break as Tyler was giving his announcement.
10:37And Tyler starts with, no, the ball was off of Wallace.
10:40And the crowd just immediately goes great.
10:42Boots.
10:43Yeah, it was crazy.
10:43Starts going.
10:44And we were confused about that as well.
10:46And it ends up.
10:47It's going to be a turnover anyway.
10:49The basketball guys.
10:51At play.
10:5210 turnovers.
10:55Turnovers added up for OKC.
10:57They trill by seven, though.
11:00Thomas caught in the air.
11:02Finds Nance.
11:03Quick release.
11:04Nance from deep.
11:07Pete Nance just checking in and throwing a couple threes in.
11:11He's just played six minutes in this game, but two of three from the three-point line.
11:16Holmgren can't answer.
11:18Got his own offensive rebound.
11:20Out to Wiggins.
11:22Wallace right down the lane.
11:24The runner from the elbow is long.
11:26Holmgren, another offensive board.
11:29Blocked by Jang.
11:30Dort, no.
11:31Holmgren, no.
11:32And Nance cleans it up.
11:37Thomas.
11:38Oh, nice.
11:39Hezzy.
11:40Kick out.
11:40Nance.
11:41Cam Thomas, professional bucket getter, but that one is long.
11:50Kendricks Williams with the rock.
11:52Down the lane.
11:53Stripped by Jang.
11:55Jang, great job of just giving up space to Kendricks Williams.
11:59Using those hands.
12:01Turnover.
12:02OKC.
12:02Porter, back to Sims.
12:06Outside to Nance.
12:08Can't hit.
12:09And Kendricks Williams, another rebound.
12:13His fifth of the ball game.
12:17Down the lane.
12:18Williams, no, but a foul is called.
12:21And Williams will go to the line.
12:26Aldis Hodge is back as Alex Cross for Cross Season 2.
12:32Watch the first three episodes now.
12:34And tune in each Wednesday for a new episode on Prime Video.
12:40New season, same Cross.
12:41And Aldis Hodge will join our studio crew later tonight on NBA Nightcap.
12:45Alex Caruso, Jalen Williams, back out there for the Thunder.
12:56Jared McCain will check in next dead ball.
12:58He's going to check in for Williams.
13:01Been a bit of a slog here in the third quarter.
13:05Ten points for OKC so far.
13:07Just seven for Milwaukee coming out here.
13:09So five minutes to go.
13:11Just not a lot of rhythm.
13:12Milwaukee shooting 20%, three for 15 in the third quarter.
13:17OKC shooting 30%.
13:20They're four for 13.
13:22We were wondering whether or not this would have the look and feel
13:25of the last game before an all-star break.
13:29We had some good moments, but it's, as you said,
13:31a struggle here in the third.
13:33Jang.
13:34Oh, that was pretty.
13:37And Wiggins is laughing at Jang.
13:38And Jang's laughing right back at him like,
13:40Yeah, I know.
13:42What do you want?
13:43What do you want?
13:46Second triple of the night for Jang.
13:48Wiggins caught in the air.
13:50Missed the leg.
13:53Tall point advantage.
13:54Jang over to Nance.
13:56Thomas on the drive.
13:58Floats it up.
14:00And it's an offensive foul.
14:01Oh, J. Will does a tremendous job of drawing charges.
14:08Great job of hanging in there.
14:10Jang was open in the corner.
14:12Cam electing to get into the teeth.
14:15And literally into the body of Jalen Williams, who takes that charge.
14:18But there's the push-off and the reaction between these two guys after the main three.
14:22Kind of precious, smiling at one another.
14:26And Jang's showing out here, back in OKC.
14:29Jang with 12 points.
14:30Again, he had 17 last night in the win over Orlando.
14:35He appeared in 136 games over a four-year stretch with the Thunder.
14:40Outside to Wallace.
14:47Wallace penetrating high off the window.
14:51Wiggins with the follow slam.
14:53Well, great timing for Aaron Wiggins.
14:55Getting there from the wing.
14:58With a follow-up dunk.
15:00Jang from the free throw line.
15:02Oh, he's feeling it.
15:07Jang is back in his bag.
15:09Williams won't take the three.
15:12Outside, McCain will flick the wrist.
15:14Left it short.
15:15Long rebound to Williams.
15:16McCain relocates and drills it.
15:20A great adjustment.
15:21And Jalen Williams smart as the big.
15:23Just repeat.
15:24Give it right back to McCain.
15:27Cash is in the second time.
15:31Portis.
15:33Now it's Porter.
15:35Caruso all over him.
15:37Wow.
15:39Porter penetrates outside.
15:43A no-dip three from Jang.
15:45It's good.
15:48How long did that ball touch his hands before he let that one go?
15:52Jang.
15:54An unbelievable three.
15:5617 for Jang.
15:57Williams over to McCain.
16:03His pass stolen and saved by Nance.
16:08Jang has the last eight for Milwaukee.
16:18Porter.
16:19Fancy dribble.
16:21Porter.
16:21No.
16:22And back tap to Wallace.
16:25Wallace.
16:27Over to J.
16:27Will.
16:28McCain is lonely.
16:35OKC had numbers on this end because Porter is banged up.
16:41And he's in the top right corner of your screen.
16:45And he's holding on to that left thigh after that last drive.
16:48No chance of getting back.
16:50Can't hit the shot.
16:52Got his own board.
16:53He's looking spry now.
16:55Portis with the save.
16:57Will fire.
16:58And hits.
16:59Not many shots are better than hitting one right in front of the opposing bench.
17:10Wallace.
17:11Extra pass.
17:12McCain.
17:13No good.
17:21Milwaukee 85.
17:24OKC 73.
17:26And Wiggins.
17:27Knocks it out of bounds as Ted Holmgren and Isaiah Joe will check back in.
17:34And Porter with delivery and just the incredibly quick release from Jang.
17:40McCain at the top of the key tries to respond here for OKC.
17:45And then Porter saves the ball and says,
17:47OK, since you went out of bounds trying to save it, Jalen, I'll give you these three.
17:52I'll give you these three.
17:57Cam Thomas to work it in.
17:58Bobby Portis is going to be competing in the three-point contest.
18:0490 seconds to go.
18:06Here in this third quarter.
18:08Thomas right to the cup.
18:109 points off the bench for Cam Thomas.
18:18Caruso.
18:20Pull up in the lane.
18:21Well short.
18:22McCain has it.
18:25Skip pass over to Williams.
18:28Holmgren in the corner.
18:30Shadowed by Portis.
18:31Holmgren.
18:32Well off the mark.
18:3560 seconds to go in the period.
18:40Thomas firing.
18:42Too strong.
18:49OKC searching for some offensive life.
18:53McCain off the mark.
18:57They're shooting 30% OKC here in this third quarter.
19:02Thomas battling with Caruso.
19:04Blocked by Williams.
19:05Nance right place.
19:07Right time.
19:07Well great block but just Nance not giving up on the play from the weak side.
19:11Finds his way to collect the offensive rebound.
19:14And how about this?
19:16Milwaukee with a stellar third quarter to just keep this lead and build on.
19:20Tang with the rejection.
19:22Green on the floor.
19:24And needs a teammate.
19:27Hasn't been pretty but Bucs plus four in the quarter.
19:32And playing confident.
19:34Thomas.
19:35Five seconds.
19:37Thomas.
19:38Jab step.
19:39Step back.
19:40Won't go.
19:41But what a quarter from Milwaukee.
19:44They end the third quarter on a 7-0 run.
19:47And they lead by 16.
19:51After three.
19:52It's Milwaukee 89.
19:54OKC 73.
19:56Here in OKC.
19:58Milwaukee.
19:59They've been dominant.
20:00Leading by 16.
20:02As we head to the fourth.
20:03Here is player game presented by FanDuel.
20:05Chet Holmgren.
20:06A double-double.
20:0714 points.
20:0912 rebounds.
20:10A couple of rejections.
20:12But we talked about it at the beginning, Bones.
20:15The Usman Zhang revenge game.
20:1817 points.
20:19Nine rebounds.
20:21Five assists.
20:22FanDuel the best place for live betting and same-game parlays.
20:25Download the FanDuel Sportsbook app now and play your game.
20:29Well, it's got to feel really good for Usman to perform this way.
20:33But, you know, don't take anything away from the night before.
20:36Playing in Orlando.
20:37Knocking down five threes.
20:39Getting the celebrations with your teammates.
20:41Coming in here maybe a little bit more relaxed.
20:43He's been sensational.
20:45Topic back out there for OKC.
20:49Making his NBA debut.
20:52Here's Topic on the drive.
20:53Tried to leave it for Holmgren.
20:56And a couple of turnovers to start this fourth quarter.
20:59Oh, well, OKC, well, sure, number one is take care of the basketball.
21:05What does OKC have to do to get back in this one?
21:08Yeah, and I know Topic wants to make things happen,
21:10but these are obviously first game jitters for him.
21:13It's been two years and a lot of life.
21:18AJ Green.
21:20Bottoms.
21:21Largest lead of the night for Milwaukee.
21:26Five triples for AJ Green.
21:29Joe, you can't answer.
21:35It's been impressive what we've seen from Milwaukee again.
21:37They enter tonight.
21:38All the talk about Giannis and, of course, heading up to the trade deadline.
21:41Where can you go?
21:42This is the team that's discombobulated.
21:44Well, no, they've won four or five.
21:46They're looking for their fifth win in their last six outings.
21:49Nance for three.
21:51Good.
21:54This team has confidence.
21:57A 13-0 extended run.
22:01Back in a moment.
22:03A Nissan, and if this is the test AJ Green has passed,
22:07you know, you've got to worry about shooters off the ball.
22:10Seeking space.
22:12AJ off the screen knocks that one down.
22:14Incredible catch and release time by AJ Green.
22:17And then talking about the shooting window,
22:19he just creates a lot of room.
22:20It's like a golf swing.
22:22He's 90% threes,
22:2310% twos because I know Joe knocks one down.
22:27But it's like your golf swing, Grady.
22:2910% is your swing,
22:32and 90% is explaining to people your golf swing.
22:35That's the way AJ Green operates on the basketball court.
22:39I like that.
22:40Here's Nance.
22:41Outside.
22:41Thomas.
22:42Good from downtown.
22:46Milwaukee hit it on all cylinders.
22:48How about all the little things Pete Nance is doing?
22:50Offensive rebounds, the extra pass.
22:52He's knocked down some threes.
22:53And those nibbles have helped.
22:58Joe.
22:59Over to Topas.
23:00Long range.
23:02Left it short.
23:03Vance the rebound.
23:06Where does the offense come from from OKC?
23:09There's 76 points so far in the game,
23:12but not an individual creator out there for them.
23:16Kuzma can't hit.
23:18He has 14 points tonight.
23:22Dorton.
23:23Lost the handle.
23:26How about Green standing him up?
23:3113 turnovers for OKC.
23:35That is over their season average.
23:37And a surprising one here.
23:45Milwaukee up by 22.
23:50Outside look.
23:51Here's Thomas.
23:52Thomas stops on a dime.
23:54Can't connect.
23:55And it's out of bounds where it will go to the Thunder.
23:58Now Bobby's sneaking around the backside there.
24:00Almost knocked it away from Kendritch Williams.
24:02But a stop for OKC.
24:04And let's see if they can just produce something that has decent shot quality down the floor this time.
24:10And the Thunder dominant over Phoenix last night.
24:17Here's Holmgren.
24:18And can't get the shot to fall.
24:21But he'll go to the line for two.
24:23Bucks did a good job there, Grady, because Cam Thomas was on Chet to start the possession.
24:29And they got that baseline switch to match up big on big.
24:33Unfortunately, Chet's just a little bit bigger.
24:36Double-double the night for Holmgren.
24:4114 points, 13 rebounds.
24:47And hits the first free throw.

25:12Always a great celebration of the game.
25:14And being in Los Angeles, obviously adds a little bit more sizzle.
25:19As Hollywood will be out in droves.
25:21Yes.
25:22To come and see this great game.
25:24Things get started tomorrow night.
25:25Cam Thomas, three ball.
25:27No good from the corner.
25:29Joe got up for the rebound.
25:31Thunder down 20.
25:34Joe.
25:37Over to McCain.
25:40McCain got a hard screen from Holmgren.
25:44McCain for three.
25:46Brim's out.
25:48They got it back.
25:49Dort now.
25:51On the move.
25:52And needs a teammate.
25:53Joe now.
25:53Joe sidestep, fires, and hits.
26:03That was deep.
26:05Isaiah Joe off the pick.
26:07Looks like that ankle's okay for Isaiah Joe.
26:09So good to see him back out there.
26:10But a much-needed three for the Thunder.
26:1317 points.
26:14He's hit four triples.
26:15Green.
26:17Sharpshooter.
26:18No good.
26:19Portis, the offensive board.
26:21Milwaukee with the fresh 14.
26:23Portis deep in the corner.
26:25Over the fingertips of Holmgren.
26:28Now, Chet draped all over Bobby Portis.
26:30They avoided one bullet on the A.J. Green.
26:33Missed three.
26:34But Bobby makes them pay.
26:38McCain, hard drive.
26:39And that is too high for Isaiah Joe.
26:42That's an over and back.
26:4414 turnovers now for the Thunder.
26:57Coach Dagnall going deeper into his bench.
27:00Brooks Barnheiser checking in.
27:03And Ted Holmgren will take a seat.
27:05Pete Nance will sit down for Milwaukee.
27:07And Jericho Sims will step back out there on the floor.
27:10Great minutes from Pete Nance, as I mentioned before.
27:12Just coming in and being a positive impact.
27:16Taking what the game is given to him.
27:18And he's been a nice, bright spot for Milwaukee over the last couple weeks.
27:22As a late signing for them this year.
27:29Green.
27:30Hard drive.
27:31Green.
27:32Blocked by Barnheiser out of bounds.
27:33What is A.J. Green doing?
27:35That's two-point land.
27:36What is uncharted territory?
27:38Good aggressive drive and good collapsing defense there from the Thunder.
27:46He's attempted 12 shots tonight.
27:48Ten have come from downtown.
27:50Sims.
27:51Off glass.
27:52They're shooting 49% from the floor.
27:5945% from downtown.
28:02Joe.
28:03Well, short.
28:04Long rebound.
28:05Scooped up by Joe.
28:07Joe.
28:08To Lou Dort.
28:09Flicks the wrist.
28:10And that's long.
28:11Hits the top of the backboard.
28:13Gene comes out of there with it.
28:14Hits the top of the backboard for this board is once again time for Bobby to size that one up.
28:30Just hit one over Chet and that time a little less defense.
28:34Williams got it to go.
28:40Thunder entered tonight 22-5 at home this season.
28:51Porter.
28:53Gave it up to Jang.
28:56Jang to Green.
28:59Shot clock winding down.
29:00Green.
29:01No good.
29:02And Barnheiser the board.
29:04Williams well beyond the arc.
29:11And that's off in OKC's just searching.
29:13Now that is 43-point attempts tonight.
29:16You nailed it, Grady.
29:16Searching.
29:17I mean, these shots have been desperate.
29:18They have time to create better opportunities and make Milwaukee work a little bit on the back-to-back.
29:24They're not doing that here.
29:25And the Bucs continue to get the extra plays.
29:29We talked about it.
29:30And you heard it in our audio from Darvin Hamm.
29:33They're meeting force with force.
29:37Porter.
29:39Working on Joe.
29:40On the drive.
29:41Flips it up and off.
29:42Couldn't beat the buzzer.
29:43Barnheiser across the timeline.
29:46Over to Williams for three.
29:49That's good.
29:49Five minutes to go here in regulation.
30:01Dang.
30:09Here's Green now.
30:11Green penetrating once again in two-point territory.
30:14He says, Brent Berry, I'm just fine here.
30:17I'm just.
30:18It's the Haley's comment of offense from A.J. Green.
30:22Knock it down to two.
30:23But these Milwaukee Bucs, they've been on a roll.
30:28Stepping into OKC and feeling really good about it.
30:331996, Brent Berry, Bones from the free-throw line.
30:41Look at the TV monitor, Bones.
30:42There's a cold day.
30:43Why are you?
30:44There's a cold day in the Alamo down, Grady.
30:47Don't take your jacket off.
30:49I got a slam dunk champion.
30:51That was a fun day.
30:52Come on, now.
30:53Let's take a look at the upcoming national schedule.
30:56All-Star weekend.
30:57Friday night, Celebrity All-Star game.
30:59Rising Stars in the HBCU Classic.
31:02Saturday, All-Star Saturday night.
31:04We're going to have a new slam dunk champion.
31:06And All-Star Sunday, 75th NBA All-Star game.
31:12I am a little fired up, Grady.
31:13They invited me to come back and judge the content.
31:15I have no idea what to judge, but I will be there.
31:17It's been 30 years since winning that contest.
31:24And so being back into a dome on Saturday, bringing some family and friends.
31:29It should be a lot of fun.
31:32Looking forward to that on Saturday.
31:35Here's Usman Jang.
31:37Rimming out.
31:39OKC out there with Jared McCain, Brooks Barnheiser, Aaron Wiggins, Nicola Topic, and Buddy Boeheim.
31:46And Wiggins off the mark, and they're going to keep firing from three.
31:50Their 42nd attempt in this game.
31:54I think 52 is their season high.
31:56So OKC just trying to find it from three tonight.
31:59Weren't able to do it.
32:02Porter to the rack.
32:03Off his own miss.
32:06Then Porter had his fifth career triple-double last night in Orlando.
32:11Pass inside Wiggins.
32:16Blocked by Jang.
32:18And that pass intercepted by Porter.
32:20Talked about the guys who were out for OKC, but for Milwaukee.
32:24No Giannis Antetokounmpo, of course.
32:28No Ryan Rollins.
32:31And no Miles Turner.
32:32The NBA on prime is brought to you by Wingstop.
32:34Big plays with even bigger flavor.
32:37Wingstop is here.
32:40And by CarMax.
32:42Want to drive?
32:46No Torian Prince as well.
32:48So again, a number of key guys.
32:50I mentioned Miles Turner with a late scratch.
32:51We came into the arena thinking he was going to play.
32:54And a cap injury for him.
32:56But it's been impressive what we've seen from Milwaukee tonight.
33:00Well, I wanted to mention with Ryan Rollins being out about Kevin Porter Jr.
33:04And some of the playmaking and game management that we've seen.
33:07The growth in this game.
33:09But Ryan Rollins has had a remarkable season as well.
33:11Definitely in the running for one of the most improved players in the league.
33:15Upping his scoring average.
33:16But between those two players, they are two guys that are averaging more than three assists a game.
33:22And last year, there's only three players in the league that have done that.
33:26But two of them play for the Milwaukee Bucks.
33:28So the opportunity, the trust from Doc Rivers and the coaching staff for these guys to handle the ball in the half court, to become playmakers.
33:37They've done a remarkable job through the first half of this season and more for the Milwaukee Bucks.
33:43Portis has knocked down three three-pointers in this ballgame for Milwaukee.
33:47And KP, he's going to be in the three-point contest.
33:49He finally gets to take his talents to All-Star Weekend.
33:53I've got to tell you, he is pumped for this 11 years into his NBA career.
33:57He told me getting that call from the NBA was fun.
33:59But it's a credit to all the work he's put in in the offseason.
34:03And let me tell you, he said, I am in it to win it.
34:05I am trying to compete.
34:06And somebody's got to represent for the Bucks.
34:08I wonder how Bobby Portis Jr. would feel if he goes to the three-point contest.
34:15And I love Dame Lillard.
34:16Dame has not played one game this year and was with the Bucks.
34:20Yes.
34:21Being teammates with that guy, Bobby Portis, do not score less than Damian Lillard.
34:28He will never live that down from Dame being in the contest.
34:32An interesting, a very interesting thing for the league to have Dame be a competitor in it this year.
34:37Well, one thing we know about Dame, you know, injury notwithstanding, the jump shot never leaves.
34:43I mean, if he's had two months to just shoot threes, I bet Dame shoots it pretty well come contest time,
34:49especially being a past winner.
34:54Approaching two and a half to go here in regulation.
34:56And it's just been a strong performance from Usman Jang.
35:01I mean, what a good feeling for him going into the break.
35:04Just all the things around the trade and, you know, several teams he was a part of until settling in Milwaukee.
35:10His pay high does what he does, knocking down the three.
35:13But to have these two performances, to play that well in Orlando, to come into this building, show out, it's important.
35:22He's only missed four shots tonight, Usman Jang.
35:25Seven of 11 shooting.
35:26He's knocked down three triples.
35:28Again, he hit five last night.
35:31With 19 points, 11 boards, six assists, four blocks.
35:35And not to expound too much on it, but, you know, Usman Jang, where was the opportunity going to be in Oklahoma City?
35:41This team had won 57 games in 2024, won 68 games last year.
35:48And the forwards that were playing in front of him to do that didn't offer up much time for him to get.
35:54And I know Oklahoma City blew.
35:56He had many games with him.
35:57That shot right there was the reason why Usman Jang is not getting a lot of minutes.
36:01There's a reason why he wasn't getting playing to him.
36:03And so this is what happens in the league.
36:05You work hard.
36:06You do the things the coaches are telling you you need to work on.
36:09And then you wait for your opportunity.
36:11Now he has that in Milwaukee with a great coaching staff.
36:15He's going to play with the superstar when Giannis comes back.
36:18He's got two guards that are growing in this game.
36:21And so his chance is now.
36:26Under two to go.
36:30Again, Milwaukee closing in on their fifth win in the last six games.
36:33They're going to snap a four-game losing streak to Oklahoma City.
36:38Gary Trent Jr. can't connect.
36:40Prior to OKC winning the last four in this series.
36:46Milwaukee had won six straight.
36:49Tanassas all over Barnheiser.
36:53This is Topic.
36:55And Barnheiser with the air ball.
36:59I want to go back to Topic for a moment.
37:00What a moment that was in the first half.
37:02He was made available.
37:04We weren't quite sure if he was going to see minutes in this ballgame.
37:07But he comes in in the first half, hits the first shot of his career, and gets his first career assist.
37:12Well, he comes from a great European program.
37:14The mega basket program has produced guys like Jovic in Miami, Zubac in Indiana, and, of course, Nikola Jokic in Denver.
37:23And so he is the highest pick from that program.
37:27It was Goga Batatze back in 2019 as the 18th pick.
37:32But Topic picked 12th.
37:34It's the highest pick from that program over here.
37:36And as a 20-year-old, a lot to learn behind the MVP from Shea Gilgis-Alexander.
37:41But it's the battle for him to get back and be doing this right now, putting on that uniform and playing for the very first time in the NBA.
37:49What a dream come true.
37:50It's a great story battle, not only an ACL tear from his rookie season, but a cancer diagnosis, made his future uncertain.
38:00But he's come out on top and received such a beautiful ovation from this OKC fan base as his NBA career is finally underway.
38:09And for people who don't know his game, he's a very heady point guard, tremendous passer, plays in the mid-range.
38:18When he gets back in great condition, he does a great job with his pace and his burst.
38:24He finds a way into the middle of the lane and a very creative passer.
38:27So the road ahead is promising for Topic, but great to see him here tonight.
38:33Closing moments here at OKC.
38:40And Usman Jang with an outstanding performance against his former team.
38:46It was Cam Thomas who put on a show last night in Orlando, and this has been a much more balanced effort for the Bucs tonight.
38:53Gary Trent Jr. rimming out and back tapped.
38:56And Asis has it.
38:59And they don't have to shoot.
39:00Two-second difference shot and game clock, and Gary Trent will take a shot clock violation.
39:10All right, we've got a quick time here.
39:11I just want to say congratulations to Doc Rivers as a finalist for the Hall of Fame.
39:16So I want to make mention of that.
39:18Good luck to you, Doc.
39:20Sorry you're not here tonight.
39:21You're in our prayers, but congratulations.
39:23His team comes away with a 1-10-93 victory over OKC, the Thunder, with their fewest points in the game this season.
39:36Once again, our final score, the Bucs 1-10, the Thunder 93.
39:41Still to come, Mavericks and Lakers following us.
39:46But first, we're going to send you to the crossover presented by Universal Orlando Resort.
39:52Balanced effort from Milwaukee tonight, led by 19 points from Usman Jang.
39:57They come away with a big victory for Brent Berry, Christina Pink, and all of our Amazon Prime crew.
40:03I'm Michael Grady saying good night from Oklahoma City.
40:06Welcome on in.
40:20We are halfway through our Thursday night doubleheader.
40:22Mavs and Lakers are just ahead.
40:24I'm Taylor Rooks with Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Udonis Haslam.
40:28And the Bucs just got a big win.
40:30How'd they get it done, UD?
40:32I mean, a total team effort on both ends.
40:34But I think, obviously, slipping in that zone early on in the first half, I think, really got OKC off balance offensively.
40:39And I think defensively, OKC just didn't bring it for 48 minutes like we're used to seeing them bringing multiple efforts, deflections, creating havoc defensively.
40:47And I think, once again, Milwaukee was able to take care of that.
40:50Once again, shout out Darvin' Ham.
40:51Shout out Darvin' Ham.
40:52Salute to Darvin' Ham.
40:54It's time for Changing the Game, presented by Universal Orlando Resort.
40:59And it was a big night for Jang against his former team, BG.
41:02I mean, he was impressive, man.
41:05Quick trigger three, no dip three there.
41:08But just played with, like, a lot of energy.
41:10Blocked some shots.
41:11It was good defensively.
41:13He's got some length.
41:15I think they got a really good player.
41:16I'm excited to see more of him.
41:18He played well last night in Orlando for the win when they hit 17.
41:23So, really good player.
41:25Good long, good length.
41:26Good shooter.
41:27Can do a little bit of everything.
41:28Good defender.
41:29So, we like his prospect.
41:31And the Bucs were really clicking offensively.
41:34The Bucs were clicking.
41:35Sort of a Bucs shooting night.
41:37I think they're second in the NBA.
41:38Almost 40% from three.
41:40They shot over 40% today.
41:41Which is impressive against, obviously, the OKC defense.
41:45They were moving the ball.
41:46They were getting two feet in the paint, passing out, finding open guys.
41:50Guys really stepped up and played well.
41:53So, you know, there's always this talk about without Giannis, what are they doing without Giannis?
41:57They're losing.
41:59And so, I'm happy that they're playing well.
42:01Won, won four out of five.
42:02Playing really well.
42:03Well, someone who has done a great job of leading this team is Bobby Portis.
42:07And he joins us now from the floor.
42:10Hey, Bobby, what's up?
42:12How y'all doing?
42:12How are you doing?
42:12What's up, gang?
42:16What's up, gang?
42:17Yeah, yeah.
42:17Great win there for you.
42:20You know, the Bucs have now won five of your last six games.
42:23You're 8-15 without Giannis.
42:25What are you learning about your team in this stretch without your superstar?
42:30Obviously, you know, we're a younger team.
42:32So, just trying to grow as the season grows.
42:36You know, the 82-game season is for growing as the season grows.
42:39So, just trying to get better as the season grows.
42:42And then, just keep growing together.
42:44Bobby, what's up, man?
42:45This is Blake.
42:45Congrats on the win.
42:46Way to play.
42:47What's up, BG?
42:48Looking at this roster, man.
42:49Like, this is, like, this is not a roster you're used to.
42:52You've been with the Bucs organization for a while.
42:54Won a championship and have that pedigree.
42:57What's your message to these guys?
42:58You know, while Giannis is out, you have now become, you know, the old head on this team.
43:03What's your message to, sort of, keep fighting during this point of the season and, you know,
43:09not pay attention to, is Giannis staying, is he going, and all that?
43:13Yeah.
43:13I think the biggest thing is just to keep getting better, man.
43:16You know, obviously, it's going to be highs and lows that represent throughout the season.
43:20And, you know, you have to fight through those highs and lows.
43:24Obviously, we went through a lot of lows to start the season.
43:26Obviously, Giannis getting hurt two or three times.
43:29You know, it's kind of tough playing without you a superstar.
43:32But, you know, it's always next man up mentality.
43:34So, over the last couple months, we've had different guys step up in different moments
43:38and keep getting better as the season grows.
43:40And that's what you want to see from young guys, just, you know, keeping their confidence high.
43:45Obviously, some of these guys' first time playing this amount of minutes.
43:48So, they're getting, you know, the reps.
43:50They're getting the repetition.
43:52And, you know, they're flourishing in it.
43:54Absolutely.
43:55Hey, Bobby, it's UD here, man.
43:57Great game tonight.
43:58Way to shoot the ball.
43:59Yes, sir, OG.
44:00I just want to shout you out, man, because a lot of times there's up and downs throughout
44:03an NBA season.
44:04And a lot of young guys just look over at the vet and see how he reacts to everything.
44:08And to me, you've been the guy who's remained consistent, calm, and just in it every single
44:12day.
44:13Just bringing that energy.
44:14You don't have to say it with your words.
44:15You do it with your actions.
44:16You lead by your actions.
44:17But also, you're a guy who was mentioned in trade situations as well.
44:21Yeah.
44:21Being able to balance that.
44:22Me, I just want to give you hats off for that because I understand how hard it's going to be.
44:25How hard that is to be able to sacrifice when your name are in trade lines.
44:28But you want to continue to be a veteran.
44:29You want to continue to do things the right way.
44:31So I just love the way you play the game.
44:33And I love your leadership and the things that you do for that team.
44:35It's a reason why that crowd goes crazy every time you step on the floor.
44:37So I tip my hat to you, bro.
44:39Appreciate that, OG.
44:41Real talk.
44:42Congrats, Bobby.
44:43Great game.
44:43You guys just added Cam Thomas.
44:45What did you do from him?
44:47What's he bringing to the team?
44:48I love Cam Thomas' game.
44:50He gives us a different dynamic that we didn't have all season.
44:52Someone that you can just put the ball in their hands and they just go out there and ball.
44:56You know, he's obviously doesn't even know none of the plays that we have, you know, drawn up yet.
45:02But give him the ball, give him an action, give him some pick and roll action, get a switch.
45:06And he just does his magic.
45:07So definitely a great gift.
45:09Shout out John.
45:10John Horsford.
45:11Shout out John Horsford.
45:12Picking him up for sure.
45:14Definitely needed him on our roster.
45:16You know, I do want to give a big shout out to the defense tonight.
45:21You all held the Thunder to 93 points.
45:24That is the fewest that you have held a team to this season.
45:26Just how locked in were you all not in the floor?
45:29What was working?
45:31Yeah, I just think that our communication was top notch tonight.
45:34Everybody rotating, everybody being there for each other.
45:36And then, you know, when it being the last game before the break, sometimes you have that lapse of, you know, guys' minds on other things.
45:43Maybe having a few days off, vacation, whatever you want to do.
45:47But I tip my hat to all my teammates today staying locked in.
45:51Obviously, we had a back-to-back.
45:52Flew from here from Orlando last night.
45:55Tough game there.
45:55Got a win.
45:56But everybody came out ready to play.
45:58And I'm super happy for my young guys, man.
46:00You know, these guys getting, you know, great opportunities to go out there and show what they can do.
46:04And, you know, they're flourishing in it.
46:06So, you know, shout out to all my young guys for stepping up.
46:08Bobby, we're going to see you on Saturday night in the three-point contest.
46:14We're excited.
46:15What do you got for us, man?
46:16What do you got for us?
46:17I got to hold it down for the bigs, man.
46:19Yes, sir.
46:19Talk to us.
46:20Yes, sir.
46:20I got to hold it down for the big grand shooters out there.
46:22So, I'm definitely excited for it.
46:24It's been my first time being able to partake in an All-Star, you know, Saturday weekend.
46:29So, I'm super excited, man.
46:31Shout out to the NBA.
46:32Shout out to the NBA for just allowing me to participate in it, man.
46:36It's been a dream come true.
46:37Been wanting to do it for a couple years now.
46:39So, obviously, it's perfect timing.
46:41So, super, super, super excited.
46:43Hey, stay hot, baby.
46:44Stay hot.
46:45Hey, Bobby, don't win one for the power forward, man.
46:47Don't win one.
46:48The power forward.
46:49This one, you're your best version being an underdog, bro.
46:51Let's go get it.
46:51Go get it.
46:52For sure.
46:53Hey, merch might go crazy, too.
46:55We're winning, huh?
46:56Congrats, man.
46:57Yes, thanks for joining us.
46:58We'll be watching you on Saturday.
47:02All right.
47:02Right now, we want to catch you up on some news from today.
47:06On the eve of All-Star Weekend, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has issued some of the stiffest fines ever assessed for apparent tanking-related offenses.
47:16Now, the league fined the Jazz $500,000 for, quote, conduct detrimental to the league, end quote,
47:22stemming from Utah's second-half usage of stars Lori Markkinen and Jaron Jackson Jr. in two games last week.
47:30The NBA also fined the Pacers $100,000 for violating the league's player participation policy,
47:37for benching multiple starters, including Pascal Siakam, who were later deemed healthy enough to play.
47:42NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement, quote,
47:46Overt behavior like this that prioritizes draft position over winning undermines the foundation of NBA competition.
47:53We will respond accordingly to any further actions that compromise the integrity of our games.
47:59Additionally, we are working with our competition committee and board of governors to implement further measures to root out this type of conduct.
48:07Meanwhile, Jazz owner Ryan Smith posted this with the eye roll emoji and said,
48:15Agree to disagree.
48:17Also, we won the game in Miami and got fined.
48:20That makes sense.
48:22So, lots going on there in the news of tanking world, but let's zoom out to the league as a whole.
48:29These discussions seem to be happening so often.
48:32BG, how did we get here where tanking has become such a topic of discussion?
48:38Yeah, a lot of different reasons, right?
48:41I think the way the draft lottery is set up, teams are incentivized to have a worse record,
48:47to increase their odds of receiving a high draft pick.
48:52So, that's one.
48:53I think protected picks have sort of played a hand in some of this.
48:58You know, the NBA is great because of the fans, right?
49:01Like, the fans love this sport.
49:03They appreciate the sport.
49:05The players are a huge part of that.
49:08As a team, you know, I would worry, you know, if we're setting this precedence that, like, losing is okay.
49:13Like, I don't want my guys to be in that mindset, right?
49:16So, there's this weird balance between doing what's technically right for the franchise, you know, trying to ensure yourselves a high draft pick.
49:26But at the end of the day, like, this game is beautiful because it's competition and it's competitive.
49:31And when fans feel like a team is purposely not being competitive, I think it, you know, puts a cloud over the game.
49:40So, I think something has to change, whether that's through the draft lottery process or through the CBA.
49:46However it is, I don't have the answers.
49:48I'm not smart enough to do that.
49:49But I see the problem and, you know, you do see sort of both sides, I guess.
49:56And when it comes to, you know, as you can tell with what was referenced in that statement, but also just the heftiness of those fines, when it comes to the integrity of the game, you have to try to keep it on track as much as you can.
50:10And this is also about sending somewhat of a message to these other teams, Eugene.
50:13Listen, once we start categorizing it as ethical tanking and unethical tanking and giving it separate categories, that's when I had to take a step back and say, wait a minute.
50:22Like, what are we doing here?
50:23Ethical, unethical, tanking is tanking, regardless of that.
50:27And, yes, they did win the game in Miami because your young guys came in and they played their butts off.
50:32But you sat your starters.
50:34So, just understand the lines that are being blurred here.
50:38Your young guys went out and they played well.
50:40Shout out to those young guys.
50:41I watched that game.
50:41But you sat your starters in a game where you were still in that fight.
50:45So, there is a situation where the lines are getting blurred every single time.
50:49And it's almost like a situation where the league makes a rule and we figure out how to break the rule or how to get around the rule every single time.
50:56It's like the hackers and all that.
50:58So, I feel like at some point there needs to be a stand taken by the league.
51:02And it needs to be serious punishment for these kind of actions.
51:05Not just a slap on the wrist.
51:07There needs to be serious punishment.
51:09Yeah, I agree with you, D.
51:09I'm not quite sure if going forward just a money fine is enough or we need to go heavier into it.
51:17This is just a problem.
51:19It's been a problem for a long time.
51:20And I think the biggest issue now, maybe, you know, last couple games here and there, you want to jockey for a better position.
51:27But not in February.
51:28The first week in February.
51:29We still have, you know, 30 plus games to go.
51:32So, it's super tough to watch.
51:34And I don't have all the answers either.
51:36But we definitely need to sit together and come up with solutions for the future.
51:40Yeah, well, we will keep our eye on this as anything continues to develop.
51:44We're going to take a quick break.
51:45When we come back, we're going to look ahead to game two of our doubleheader and bring you Steve's conversation with LeBron James after this.
51:53He has three straight games of double-digit assists, putting up over 21 points and almost nine assists so far this month.
52:02LeBron and the Lakers are taking on the Mavs in game two of our doubleheader.
52:06And before the game with All-Star Weekend Almost Here, eight-time All-Star Steve Nash caught up with his Mind the Game co-host, the 22-time All-Star himself.
52:17You know, got to get them.
52:19Yeah.
52:19Got to get them.
52:20What's up, baby?
52:21What's up?
52:21Yeah, always.
52:23So I did a little digging.
52:26Tonight is 1,598th game.
52:30Say that again?
52:311,500.
52:311,598th basketball game in the NBA.
52:35Oh, my goodness.
52:36And I believe that's regular season.
52:38Oh, so I'm headed to 1,600 soon, huh?
52:40Oh, yeah.
52:40Very soon.
52:41What is the approach when you come to the games?
52:44Like, give me, like, when you're a young fella coming to the game versus now.
52:48Yeah, yeah, yeah.
52:48I mean, obviously, when you're a young fella coming to the game, it's just all about, like, true excitement.
52:52Like, I just want to get out there, run fast, jump high.
52:55You're like, just do all the athletic stuff, you know.
52:57You know, now for me, it's more the mind game for me.
53:00I'm getting here, you know, 7 o'clock start.
53:02I'm getting here 1, 1.30.
53:04Start preparing the body, preparing the mind.
53:06You're crazy.
53:07You know, and it is still excitement.
53:09It's still excitement to get ready for the bright lights, the competition, you know, your teammates going out there to try to help you guys win a basketball game.
53:16So, you know, I still have that kid in me, you know, and as long as that stays, that's what keeps me going out on the floor every night.
53:23There you go.
53:23So another five years.
53:24Oh, man, don't say that.
53:25Don't say it.
53:26Give Laker Nation and the fans out there what you're looking for these last kind of 30, 40 years.
53:31Yeah, we just want to get healthy, man.
53:32I think that's the most important for our team, to know exactly what we have, to know exactly what, you know, all our other guys.
53:40It's not about, like, what I have or what Luca has or what AR has.
53:44We kind of know what we can do, but it's about, like, putting our guys, our supporting cast in the right positions and the right spots to where they know, okay, every night this is what our job is.
53:54This is how we start in our role every single night.
53:56You know, when you have, you know, injuries and, you know, different lineups, everyone's role kind of changes, you know, from literally one game to the next game depending on who's in the lineup.
54:05So, you know, hopefully we can get healthy.
54:07We can get our full lineup at some point, especially, you know, right now.
54:11You know, we're – this is going to turn into, you know, the sprint.
54:16We've been in the marathon for a long time, and now it's going to turn into the sprint very soon, and we've got to start gearing up.
54:21So, we're top six in the West right now.
54:23We want to try to avoid the play-in.
54:25You'll get a couple more days of rest, but also just guarantee yourself a playoff series.
54:29So, that's the most important thing.
54:34Check out new episodes of Mind the Game with LeBron James and Steve Nash every other Tuesday on Prime Video, YouTube,
54:40and wherever you get your podcasts.
54:43Cool to see those two together, but, I mean, any time you see LeBron out there at this age, it's wild.
54:49Three straight double-doubles with 10-plus points, the oldest player in NBA history to record three consecutive double-doubles.
54:55But it seems like he's going to have every oldest ever at the end of this in the record book, UD.
55:00I'm still laughing because he acted like he didn't know how many games he played.
55:03He definitely knows.
55:04LeBron knows every single stat that he has.
55:06He knows every stat.
55:07But what I will say about LeBron James is this is not given.
55:11This is earned.
55:12LeBron has made this a lifestyle.
55:14When he came to Miami, he was the first person I saw that.
55:17Every single day, something was dedicated or sacrificed towards him being the best athlete he needed to be,
55:22whether it was how he was eating, going out to lunch, and he's eating a burger with no bread, no bun.
55:27I'm like, I don't do that.
55:28Give me the bun.
55:29I don't do that.
55:30Whether it's riding a 10-speed to practice, knowing Riley going to run the hell out of us,
55:33or Spohr's going to run the hell out of us that day,
55:35he's riding a bike to practice, getting conditioned on the way to practice,
55:38whether it be getting weights in and just lifting weights, all these things he's been doing.
55:42So the work that he's putting in, we see that continue to go, and it's just amazing to watch.
55:46And it's just a joy to watch him play.
55:48And Steve said five years, and he laughed,
55:50but he probably could play five more years at the level he plays at.
55:53Can I add one stat from this year?
55:56He is fourth in the league in transition points at seven per game.
56:00I mean, that kind of sums it all up.
56:02The guy's 41, 23rd season in the league.
56:05Incredible.
56:06The athlete he still is, how he takes care of his body, longevity.
56:11His focus before games.
56:13He's got to move.
56:14So just incredible.
56:16Well, one thing I know we will have our eyes on tonight is the Lakers defense.
56:21We have spoken about in the, well, first off, we got to, what's going on here?
56:26You see why he plays so long.
56:29The joy.
56:30Gotta have fun with it.
56:30Get the hips loose.
56:32We've talked a lot in the first half of the season about how bad the Lakers defense has looked,
56:37but they have certainly improved as of late.
56:39What have you seen, Bucci?
56:40Yeah, I think they've done a really good job of implementing zone.
56:42You know, J.J. has sort of figured that they need to mix it up a little bit.
56:47Excuse me.
56:48There's not a lot of point of attack defenders on that team.
56:53Not great on-ball defenders.
56:55So mixing in zone has been great for them.
56:58I mean, they have implemented over the last 10 games a lot, and it's been super helpful.
57:03So, I mean, you see here they've over-doubled the amount of times they're running zone.
57:09And what it does is really just closes driving lanes down.
57:12It keeps players in their spot.
57:14It keeps players active.
57:15And they do a really good job of matching up out of that zone.
57:18So they're not having to play 20 seconds of man-to-man defense.
57:22They're able to, you know, disguise it, hide a little bit, and then finish the possession with a man-to-man defense.
57:28Yep.
57:28They're playing almost 16 possessions of a zone defense over the last 13 games.
57:33That's up from a little over three to start the season.
57:35So big adjustments there.
57:37All right.
57:37Austin Reeves has been a big part of the Lakers' success this season.
57:41The 50-year pro is putting up almost 26 points with five rebounds and six assists per game.
57:49And a reminder, FanDuel is letting all customers choose their own reward to use on the NBA tonight.
57:55Choose from a variety of rewards to take your game even higher.
57:58Whichever the reward, the power is in your hands.
58:01Head to the app now and choose your own reward only on FanDuel.
58:05Stick around after the Lakers and Mavs.
58:09We have a huge edition of NBA Nightcap coming your way.
58:13A whole lot of stars there.
58:15We're going to be joined by special guests DeAndre Jordan, Fat Joe, Aldous Hodge, and Isaiah Mustafa from the show Cross on Prime Video.
58:25So, this is going to be a fun time.
58:27I mean, we've never had that in this many guests ever.
58:28This is exciting.
58:30That does it for the crossover.
58:32We'll see you again at halftime.
58:33But right now, let's get you out to crypto for game two.
