02:25Но Гайпер не передал.
02:26Капитан Хамм, шоппинг это audiо.
02:28Патерина Химпорта.
02:29Капитан Хамм, шоппинг it up before this one.
02:30He will have the clipboard tonight, as KP just pointed out.
02:33Let's talk about Milwaukee now.
02:34They've had injuries, issues of their own and they've had
02:35a number of guys step up.
02:38Кейсон Pointe last night.
02:39This is the second half of back-to-back from Milwaukee.
02:40They had guys step up last night as well.
02:43Yeah, winners four of five
02:45and I think it's a collective sigh of relief for the Bucs
02:47and their fans.
02:48Obviously, the trade deadline,
02:51sometimes no decision is a decision.
02:53Субтитры делал DimaTorzok
03:23So without Giannis, Milwaukee's had a number of role players step up,
03:27and we've seen the same thing from the defending champions.
03:29Yeah, we talked about shuffling the cards.
03:31One that Mark Dagnott likes to play a lot is a guy by the name of Isaiah Joe.
03:36He's been absolutely remarkable this year shooting the basketball here in February.
03:40He's been fabulous shooting 50%.
03:42And I'm going to say something that I thought I would never say, Grady.
03:46We're going to go back to the studio and talk to Udonis about three-point shooting.
03:53He's like...
03:56Scorers need the ball in their hands to get to that three-level scoring.
04:12This is a guy who uses his shooting gravity to create those three levels of scoring for him.
04:16Whatever the defense does is wrong right here.
04:18You see him right here right now.
04:19You already see Marcus Smart is denying, so he understands what the scheme is right here.
04:23He's going to use that against him.
04:24He gets off the ball right here.
04:25Once Marcus Smart tries to do it again, he denies.
04:27He gets backdoor cut for a layup.
04:30This is in the paint.
04:31This is in the paint bucket.
04:32Once again, we come.
04:33Check goes off.
04:34We empty that side.
04:35You should push him to the ball and get on that outside hip.
04:37Jason Richardson, young fella.
04:38We get him again.
04:39We get to the middie.
04:40So that's a mid-range right now.
04:42Now we talk about Goodwin is cooked right here.
04:43He is not body on.
04:44He is not pushing him to the ball.
04:46You go under.
04:47That is target practice for Isaiah Joe.
04:49He is 41% from three, 40% for his career.
04:52So I love the fact that he is a three-level guy.
04:54He does not have to have the ball in his hands every single time to get to those three levels.
04:58His gravity that he used from his shooting spacing, his cutting, everything he does is great.
05:02And I think they get him in the paint more, but they worried about his decision-making.
05:06So they tell him just to keep it simple right now.
05:08His spacing creates everything for everybody else.
05:10Yeah, he's been a hot player, averaging over 20 the last three.
05:13I love his all-around game.
05:15He is great without the ball.
05:18And just, you know, just a floor spreader for them.
05:21Without Shea, I think he's getting a little bit more opportunity right now, too.
05:25Averaging over 10 points is a career high for him as well.
05:28So he's been getting this opportunity more and more.
05:31He's getting his number called without Shea, and he's making the best out of it.
05:34Yeah, you know, BG, when Mark Dagonal was discussing the addition of Jared McCain,
05:38he said he looks like he's been here.
05:40Confident, aggressive, fitting right in.
05:42How is he fitting in with the Thunder?
05:44Well, first of all, I mean, we see Jared McCain's personality on full display at all times,
05:48and it's infectious, right?
05:49So I feel like just as a person, his fit with his team is really, really good.
05:54But on the court, I think we forget.
05:56It was a small sample size last year, but he had an unbelievable start to his rookie year.
06:00And playing, commanding the ball, playmaking, shooting, doing a little bit of everything,
06:04and just competing.
06:06And it looks like he has a lot of fun while he's doing it.
06:09So I really love this fit.
06:11And also, on the Isaiah Joe note, I think Jared McCain opens up the floor a little bit for him, right?
06:17Since Jared McCain has gotten to the team, Isaiah Joe's numbers have been off the charts, right?
06:21So having another shooter out there, having a secondary ball handler, having somebody who can go get you a bucket is just adding to the already really good Oklahoma City team.
06:31And the experience they're getting with SGA and these guys out, Blake, I mean, you guys know that's invaluable.
06:38Absolutely.
06:38I mean, just getting reps this early in the season and getting Jared acclimated to this system is great.
06:43So when SGA comes back, you know, they'll have just another weapon in their toolbook.
06:48Yeah, but, yeah, in terms of the joy that he brings, we talk a lot about that culture in OKC.
06:52He fits right in.
06:53Great guy.
06:54I'm excited to see the TikToks.
06:56Yeah.
06:57I'm jealous.
06:58I can't dance.
06:58I don't even have TikToks, so I won't see them.
07:00Yeah, I won't.
07:01I'm looking forward to a dance or two.
07:03He's certainly the best social media star on the OKC Thunder.
07:07Maybe in the league.
07:08Who knows?
07:08All right.
07:09Thank you so much for watching MBM Prime pregame presented by Carbacks.
07:14Game one of our doubleheader is coming your way from OKC.
07:20The reigning champs, the Thunder, and the Bucs are getting ready to go.
07:23Tip-off is just a few minutes away with Michael Grady, Brent Berry, and Christina Pink right after this.
07:32You're watching a special presentation of the NBA on Prime.
07:44Let's go!
07:53D9!
07:53He ascends!
07:57Oh, he's killing it!
08:05Oh, this is ridiculous!
08:10ДИНАМИЧНАЯ МУЗЫКА
08:40Starting lineup for the Bucs, A.J. Green, Kevin Porter Jr., Usman Jang, revenge game, Kyle Kuzma, Jericho Sims also in the starting lineup for the defending champions, Kaysen Wallace, Isaiah Joe, Lou Dort, Kenrich Williams, and Chet Holmgren.
09:04Mark Dagnall, 3-5 OKC on the second end of a back-to-back this season.
09:14He's done a tremendous job, though, with guys in and out of the lineup.
09:17And Darvin Ham, as our Christina Pink mentioned in the open, no Doc Rivers tonight.
09:22And so Darvin Ham, former coach of the Lakers, will have the clipboard this evening.
09:31Look at the key guys out for this when Miles Turner was a late scratch for Milwaukee, a sore calf.
09:37Of course, Giannis has been out.
09:39Shea has been dealing with an abdominal injury.
09:41And he's got the ball cap on.
09:48Always a great crowd here in OKC.
09:50Unbelievable support here in OKC.
09:52And I'll tell you what, Gray, these games could get interesting.
09:54Obviously, last game before the break, Milwaukee has been playing much better basketball, very connected in their last five games.
10:01Just one loss.
10:03But some guys figuring out their roles.
10:04They come in here against a very, very good defensive team.
10:09So we'll see if the trend continues with what Milwaukee has been able to do offensively in the last few.
10:15OKC coming off a 136-109 victory last night over Phoenix.
10:23Meanwhile, Milwaukee flew here from Orlando, where they got a 116-108 victory last night.
10:30Thunder won the first meeting between these two teams by 20 a month ago.
10:34And tonight, again, the second and final showdown.
10:38We are underway here at Paycom Center.
10:41Michael Grady, Brent Berry, Christina Pink, and a lob threat cut off by A.J. Green.
10:47Chad Holmgren, turnaround J, left it short.
10:51Trying to get the all-star going with their first play of the game.
10:55And a good job by A.J. Green.
10:56The late switch to catch Chet on the lob.
10:59Oh, I'm going to add a collision late in last night's win over Phoenix.
11:05Weren't sure if he was going to play in this one, but, of course, available to go.
11:08Skip pass.
11:08Kuzma will drive.
11:10Pump.
11:11And a traveler, no?
11:15Oh, they're calling an offensive foul on Jericho Sims.
11:19Yeah, Sims underneath with the grab, just anticipating that sometimes, you know, the perimeter guys can sometimes fake out the big guys down low who are battling for position.
11:27So, as Kuz took that step instead of the jumper, Sims was holding on for dear life.
11:37Holmgren.
11:39That was Wallace up top.
11:43Isaiah Joe from beyond the arc.
11:45Swish.
11:46That gets the scoring started here at OKC.
11:49Sims outside to Jang.
11:56Extra pass.
11:58Now it's Green up top.
12:00Another guy who's not shy about shooting it from beyond the arc.
12:03Green right on cue.
12:04Well, a great answer from A.J. Green.
12:06Ninety percent of his shots are coming from the three-point line, so how about that for a shot, Diet?
12:12Holmgren rimming out, and Kuzma the rebound.
12:19Thunder of one back-to-back, and as you mentioned, Milwaukee, winners of four of their last five.
12:25Both teams dealing with injury concerns.
12:27That ball ricochets out of bounds, where it will stay right here with Milwaukee.
12:32Kaysen with the swing.
12:35Isaiah Joe with just enough room to go, and then A.J. Green coming off of that pick.
12:39Chet just a little bit late there to contest it and bother A.J.
12:43He knocks it down.
12:47Hand-off to Porter.
12:48Porter on the move.
12:50Blocked by Holmgren.
12:55Wallace with the handle.
12:57Joe again.
12:58Off the mark.
13:00Jang the board.
13:02For the chance for Jang coming back to the team that traded him away, getting a start here.
13:06I'm sure he wants to perform well.
13:08Can't hit there.
13:10Sims tried to keep it alive, but Wallace comes away with it for the Thunder.
13:13Williams in the paint pull-up.
13:19Jay won't go, and Jang the board.
13:22Jang played most of his first four years of his NBA career here in Oklahoma City before he was traded before the deadline.
13:29This is Kuzma all the way to the rack.
13:31Can't hit.
13:31And it's out of bounds, but it will go to Milwaukee.
13:36Well, one thing KPJ is going to have to deal with tonight that he didn't deal with in Orlando very much is there's perimeter pressure with the hands of Kasem Wallace and Lou Dort.
13:52And then behind them is Chet Holmgren, one of the best shot blockers in the game.
13:56So not a lot of space.
13:58He's got to find room like that to get shots off.
14:01Kevin Porter Jr. going window shopping.
14:04Milwaukee up by two.
14:08Wallace pull-up Jay over Green.
14:10Left it long.
14:12OKC won for seven to start this game.
14:17Porter behind the back.
14:18Down the lane.
14:19Left it for Sims.
14:20Sims under the hoop.
14:21Can't get it to go.
14:22Tips it up and in.
14:25Jericho such a force down low as a big.
14:28Coming off a perfect game in Orlando.
14:30He was unbelievable against the Magic just last night.
14:33Williams left open and drains the trifecta.
14:37So what are we going to see here with OKC?
14:40With Shea being out, Jalen being out.
14:42It's going to be a lot of DHOs.
14:44It's going to be the same amount of ISOs.
14:46You wouldn't think so, but they'll still isolate.
14:48But they're going to drive, drive, drive,
14:50and try to get to the paint to spray it out for shots.
14:54Toss it up.
14:55Sims went and got it off the feed from Jay.
14:58Mentioned last night in Orlando, Jericho Sims 6 of 6 and 5 of 5 from the line.
15:03So perfect in terms of his shooting.
15:0517 points to go along with 11 boards.
15:08Isaiah Joe 4 feet beyond the arc.
15:11No problem.
15:15Isaiah Joe, one of the highest three-point attempt rates in the NBA.
15:19Such a tremendous shooter for Mark Dagnol.
15:22Porter in the lane.
15:23Tough shot.
15:24Got it to go.
15:26Might have got bumped as well, but KPJ with some great patience.
15:30You're going to see that all night long with him getting into the paint
15:32and trying to make decisions.
15:35Wallace in attack mode.
15:36Stopped by Kuzma.
15:38Out to Holmgren.
15:40Holmgren.
15:41Had nowhere to go.
15:43It's not moving here.
15:44Sims is a wall.
15:46Here's Wallace now.
15:47Goes Minnie off the heel.
15:50Williams the offensive board.
15:52This is Dort from downtown.
15:54And that won't go.
15:55And Jang coming the other way for Milwaukee.
15:58Caught in the air.
16:01Finds green.
16:03And now Sims up top.
16:09OKC has won the last four in this series.
16:11And Sims has picked up two fouls in less than five minutes.
16:19Alley-oop to Sims.
16:20And you can throw those just about anywhere you want.
16:22And Isaiah Joe, again, continuing his hot shooting.
16:25But OKC, struggling so far on offense.
16:29And a great start for the Milwaukee Bucs as we head to break.
16:32And then they head to break after this game.
16:37Celebrates Black History Month.
16:41We are in Oklahoma City.
16:44Thunder, Bucs, and Milwaukee with an early two-point advantage.
16:50It's Lou Dort with a handle.
16:53Joe.
16:58Joe.
17:01He's been red hot already from downtown.
17:03Can't hit that three and it goes out of bounds.
17:06Yeah, I think OKC looking for that early shot from Joe coming off the double screen.
17:12Didn't get that and then had to settle with Jang with a hand in his face on the left wing.
17:20Green firing and hitting.
17:22One thing that's so unique about A.J. Green is his release point is so high.
17:27So even when guys are in his space, Grady, they're nowhere near contesting those three balls from him.
17:33Tops it up to Chet.
17:34Count it and caught him on the line.
17:37Somehow he was able to guide it in.
17:40Finally, OKC finding some room and getting to this lob as Chet just goes to the open space.
17:51Hard to get up to that kind of altitude and great soft hands for the first-time All-Star.
17:56And Chet Holmgren, this season, nearly 18 points, nine rebounds, tied for fourth in the NBA in blocks.
18:08He's got a block already in this one.
18:10Thunder within two.
18:16Bobby Portis out there for the Bucs.
18:19Porter at the control.
18:23Crossover.
18:24Porter down the lane with the throwdown.
18:26Unbelievable.
18:27With the Bucs having everybody lifted, the shiftiness of Kevin Porter Jr., he gets all the way to the rim.
18:38Holmgren up top.
18:40Hand off to Wallace.
18:42Holmgren lines up a tray.
18:45Won't go and jang the board.
18:48Toss ahead to Kuzma.
18:50Kuzma outside.
18:51Portis.
18:52Good close out there by Holmgren.
18:57Kuzma.
18:58A little discard.
18:59It will fire from deep.
19:00Off the heel.
19:01Dort got the board.
19:03OKC struggling, trying to find their rhythm on the offensive end in the half court.
19:08Usually it's after turnovers and, of course, Shea's brilliance on offense.
19:12So they've got to create better.
19:15Nice move by Wallace to get to the rack.
19:17He's fouled and will shoot two.
19:18Take a look at Kevin.
19:19That ability to cross over, change speeds around, past, and to the rim with Dort trying to guard him.
19:28Can you imagine the switches tonight, Grady?
19:31First case of Wallace starts on you.
19:33You get the first screen and then, oh, you've invited Lou Dort to guard you on the second part of the possession.
19:39Lots of hard work tonight.
19:40He's going to need an all-star break after this one.
19:43Here's our live update presented by FanDuel.
19:47Taking a look at the odds.
19:50As we know how tough and how physical this Oklahoma City squad is.
19:56Jalen Williams on the floor for OKC.
19:59As you see Giannis Antetokounmpo in the cozy fit tonight.
20:03Pete Nance out there now for Milwaukee.
20:05It's the Bucs by three, and Porter and Portis not on the same page.
20:14Dort's on the same page with the rim.
20:17Thunder within one.
20:20KPJ's got to make sure he gets eye contact with Bobby Portis in that time.
20:25Just loose with the ball.
20:27Igniting OKC.
20:28That's what they want.
20:29Portis very easy to get eye contact with.
20:31Jang out to Cam Thomas on the floor now for Milwaukee.
20:34He had a big game last night.
20:36Draws the foul on Dort and hit the jumper.
20:39I am shocked that Cam Thomas shot it the first time he touched it.
20:42Aren't you, Grady?
20:43Are you shocked?
20:46I am astounded.
20:48Doesn't take long.
20:49No.
20:50Unreal game for him in Orlando.
20:52Just pouring it in.
20:53The foul there.
20:54The N-1 opportunity.
20:55I love both, both Doc Rivers was telling me this on Monday and Darvin Hamm was telling us before the game when Cam Thomas introduced himself to his teammates, he basically said, uh, y'all know me.
21:07I'm a bucket getter.
21:08I get buckets.
21:09And they all nodded.
21:10Yeah, yeah.
21:11We know that.
21:14Isaiah Joe getting buckets in the early going.
21:16He has eight points already on three of five shooting.
21:20Two-point ball game here at Paycom Center.
21:25Portis lines up a three, and it's good.
21:30Portis has long been one of the better six men in the NBA.
21:36Still needing his offense off the bench for Milwaukee to stay competitive in the Eastern Conference in the second half of the season.
21:43Joe fouled beyond the arc.
21:46Portis with the foul, and Joe will shoot three.
21:49Isiah Joe coming off that screen.
21:56Portis contests, but in the landing space for Isiah Joe, and then goes full coffin, laid out on the floor like, man, I shoot threes.
22:05I shouldn't be fouling a three-point shooter.
22:07Portis picking up his first foul, and Joe knocking down the first loop.
22:17Quick on Isiah Joe.
22:18Grady this year, he's been remarkable.
22:20Number six in threes off the bench.
22:22Of course, leading the league, Tim Hardaway Jr.
22:24He has made more than anybody, 139.
22:28Isiah Joe, 110.
22:29But he doesn't play nearly as many minutes.
22:32He doesn't get that kind of opportunity.
22:34But the way he shot the ball this year, especially February, 15 points on 46-50-94.
22:41Unbelievable shooting month.
22:42Comedy legends Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson bring their unfiltered takes and hilarious dynamic to sports talk.
22:48Get ready for A-list guests, big laughs, and can't miss commentary on good sports with Kevin and Kenan.
22:54New episodes every Tuesday, only on Prime.
23:01Milwaukee running this high spread, just trying to get some action going downhill.
23:05And with Portis behind and KPJ on the other side, that's the driving opportunity.
23:10So spreading out OKC.
23:12Thomas finds Porter.
23:16Porter on the move.
23:18Pull up Jay.
23:19Won't go.
23:20Offensive board to Jang.
23:22Jang, no, but will go to the line.
23:27And again, as you mentioned earlier, an opportunity for Usman Jang.
23:32Comes to OKC and it's tough to get a real opportunity on a squad as talented as this OKC squad was.
23:40Of course, won a championship with them.
23:42Last season, missing that first free throw.
23:44For more on Jang, let's send it over to KP.
23:45Yeah, and back where it all began just a week after the trade deadline.
23:49And what a crazy trade deadline it was for him.
23:51He was traded three times in the span of about 48 hours.
23:55He told me, you know, it was a little weird.
23:57And he took about three flights, multiple cities, but so happy to be a member of this Bucs team and had five threes, a career high last night.
24:04But he said it's going to be a little weird seeing some of his old teammates so soon after being in their locker room.
24:11He said, it's the first time I've ever even been in the visitor locker room here.
24:14An awkward experience, Brent.
24:16No love, right?
24:17No doubt.
24:18Part of that 22 draft where OKC got Chet, Jalen Williams, and Jalen Williams.
24:23And he was the 11th pick in that draft with the Knicks.
24:26And OKC elected to trade him.
24:28So part of that 22 draft class for OKC, now his future in Milwaukee.
24:33Cam Thomas, stop, go, buckets.
24:37Five-point advantage for Milwaukee.
24:39Caruso, extra pass.
24:42Jay Will, the handoff to Joe.
24:44Outside look, Wiggins for three.
24:48Great job and great pace with Isaiah.
24:51Joe, you've got to respect him coming off the three, right?
24:53So defense lifted.
24:54He uses it to get downhill and finds Wiggs.
24:58Portis can't answer.
25:00And here comes Joe the other way.
25:03Joe with 11 points in this opening frame.
25:07New Thunder guard McCain blocked by Nance.
25:12And we have a timeout with 2.47 to go in this opening quarter.
25:17Milwaukee with a two-point advantage.
25:20What you want to do to your opponent, make them know they can't win.
25:23Can't win.
25:24Can't win.
25:25What a play by Russell.
25:27Every play in the place is John Hickman Freeman.
25:29The greatest basketball team that was ever assembled.
25:33I've tried to live my life doing what I think is right, is right, is right, is right.
25:38And I think that I did okay.
25:40Happy birthday to the late great Bill Russell, an 11-time NBA champion, five-time MVP, inducted into the Hall of Fame, one of the few, as both a player and a coach.
25:58And his number six has been retired by the NBA, but their 23-year-old Dalen Williams has got a grandfather claws.
26:08He can rock number six.
26:09Unbelievable career and an unbelievable career and what an amazing man.
26:12And so much respect from Bill Russell and his peers, but just generations of reverence around the league.
26:19So happy the NBA named the finals MVP trophy after Mr. Bill Russell.
26:23Oh, Casey, a chance to tie this one up or take the lead.
26:32Joe, he's been hot early.
26:35And, ooh, that's a slippery spot on the floor, and Joe, gonna have to shake that off.
26:43Wiggins lost the handle, and Joe may need a timeout.
26:47Thomas, Milwaukee with numbers.
26:51Thomas finds Green.
26:53Green flicks the wrist.
26:54Can't help.
26:55Jackson, where did he come from?
26:58They got a little scuffle going on right now.
27:06We'll take a timeout.
27:08We'll get that cleared up.
27:12Jackson in your living room back in a moment.
27:17Let's look at Andre Jackson coming in, and then he's on the swing back, kind of knees Jalen Williams,
27:22who took exception to it, had something to say as the teams were heading to the benches.
27:30When an OKC turned into the Pistons, Grady.
27:33What are we doing?
27:35That wasn't much.
27:37And there's reasons why.
27:38Right now.
27:38Yeah, there's reasons why these applause are happening, Grady.
27:42Nikola Topic.
27:45Battle testicular cancer.
27:47This one preseason game into the season, had surgery.
27:50Underwent key mode, and he's making his NBA debut tonight.
27:56Standing ovation here at Paycom Center.
28:00What a moment.
28:07Tobit's got two games with the Oklahoma City Blue.
28:10Just five-minute stints.
28:11There he is.
28:12Let's go.
28:14Sex and drops a dime to J. Will.
28:18What a story.
28:20And we talked to Coach Dagnar tonight.
28:22He said, look, if you're active, Nikola, there's a chance you're going to play.
28:26Got his first career assist right there.
28:28Bordas can't hit.
28:30Rebound McCain.
28:35Wiggins.
28:36Outside.
28:37J. Will for three.
28:39No.
28:39And we'll be keeping an eye on Topic's win.
28:43He's only played in two G League games.
28:46Hasn't gotten a lot of runs.
28:48I don't think more than five minutes at a time here, Grady, tonight.
28:51But what an unbelievable story.
28:53And you're right.
28:53What a great moment.
28:54It's been two years for Topic to find the floor.
28:58And these fans know it.
29:02Nance.
29:03Good defense here.
29:05Nance beating the clock.
29:08Just a laser from P. Nance from the three-point line.
29:11And how about Milwaukee getting 30 on the board here in the first quarter?
29:26McCain on the drive.
29:28A little bully ball in the lane.
29:30Shot won't go.
29:31Nance the rebound for Milwaukee.
29:34And Cam Thomas will bring it up with the Bucs enjoying a five-point advantage.
29:41I still want to say they're going to hold for the last shot, but it's basically...
29:46Oh, okay.
29:46Can't pass.
29:47I thought it was going to be a pass.
29:49A.J. Green from Dean.
29:52Won't go.
29:53Tipped up and off by Portis.
29:54Got it back.
29:56Portis.
29:56That's an offensive foul.
30:01Daylon Williams took a shot to the face.
30:04Offhand from Bobby Portis.
30:06If Bobby was smarting a little bit from the control tip he had, he was right at the rim.
30:11And wasn't able to control it in.
30:13And then this second one, the left arm, bang.
30:15Right there on Jalen's chin.
30:182.5.
30:19Topic.
30:20Topic's got it up.
30:22And oh, that would have sent this place into a frenzy.
30:26But what a moment for Topic.
30:29After one, Milwaukee with a five-point advantage.
30:32You're watching the NBA on Prime presented by Wingston.
30:36It's encouraging movement presented by Lilly.
30:39Well, how about Nikolo Topic?
30:41Two years waiting to just put on the uniform.
30:45And in it tonight, in the game for Mark Dagnall gets his first assist.
30:50First time playing in front of this OKC crowd.
30:52And what an inspirational story for him to be back on the floor.
30:55For more on Topic, we'll send it over to Christina Pink.
30:58And as Mark Dagnall told us, he's such a funny, mature kid.
31:01You know, after that cancer diagnosis, he said,
31:04I just don't want to be a distraction to the team.
31:06But he stayed around the building while he was going through multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
31:10And what Coach said impressed him the most was not only was he proud of him,
31:13but he was proud of how the team responded.
31:16Giving him a sense of normalcy.
31:17And as Jalen Williams told me,
31:18I can't wait to see how the crowd responds and what a moment it was.
31:23No question.
31:24Here's McCain.
31:25Extra pass.
31:26Caruso for three.
31:30Great job with rhythm on that position for OKC.
31:33Side to side.
31:34And Alex steps in to one for three.
31:37Thundershot just 35% in that opening quarter.
31:41Still within two.
31:43Sims forced to kick it out.
31:44Kuzma now inside Nance had good position,
31:50but he was getting a bear hug from Jared McCain, who picks up the foul.
31:55Go back to the last possession for OKC.
31:57Kason Wallace.
31:58Again, we talked about how much they like to drive the basketball without SGA.
32:02They got to create some havoc in the half court.
32:05Kason was able to do that.
32:06The extra pass from Jared McCain to the headbanded Alex Caruso for three.
32:11Kuzma with the back down, turns and scores.
32:16Good chance for Milwaukee to use their size right now.
32:19You look at the lineup for OKC.
32:21Just Chet has a big.
32:22So chances for them to maybe get down on the block.
32:27Tobit's inside to Hongren.
32:29Extra pass.
32:31Wallace.
32:32No.
32:34It's Milwaukee 32.
32:37OKC 28.
32:39Wallace now 0 for 3.
32:41Thomas.
32:46Step throw.
32:47Got to the rim.
32:49Largest lead of the night for the Bucs.
32:52And Mark Dagnall needs time.
32:56Cam Thomas.
32:56Seven points already off the bench.
32:58Quality of life win.
33:09Quality of life.
33:10Have a good time out there.
33:13Like I said before the game, we got to meet force with force.
33:16They score.
33:17They do anything.
33:17They try to get up in us.
33:19We got to be more physical.
33:20Bones, you like that quality of life win.
33:25QOL from Coach Hamm.
33:27I love that.
33:28This team, the second thing that he mentioned to us, Grady, was you got to do next play mentality type of stuff against OKC.
33:35They're going to bother you.
33:36They're going to be disruptive.
33:37And so far, they've managed that well.
33:39Jairb McCain on the move.
33:44If you join the slate, Darwin Ham.
33:47Sitting head coach tonight is Doc Rivers.
33:50Attending a funeral in his hometown.
33:53All the best to Doc.
33:55Суббор burn.
33:59Суббор существо.
34:00Йоанна, though,
34:01traveling with the team,
34:02being supportive,
34:03helping Camp Thomas
34:05assimilate to the squad,
34:07just being around
34:08and his positive energy.
34:10There's a lot of talk about
34:12him maybe not being around
34:13so much green,
34:15but he has stayed in Milwaukee
34:16and stabilized
34:18what they're trying to do
34:19in the next couple months,
34:20and that's make a little bit
34:22of a run here on the back end
34:23of the Eastern Conference.
34:25They're currently in 12th in the Eastern Conference standings,
34:29but just a few games back of that 10th and final spot.
34:32Things getting interested in the East.
34:3634-29, Milwaukee on top.
34:40A.J. Green tosses it outside.
34:44Kuzma beyond the arc.
34:46That's a great find from A.J. Green,
34:48just swinging it over there with the left hand on target for Kuz.
34:53Five points now for Kuzma.
34:56Holmgren, defended by Sims, gave it up to McCain.
35:00McCain will retreat, and on an island with Sims,
35:04McCain toss out.
35:06Caruso, three-ball, quarter pocket.
35:11Well, Jared McCain kind of caught with Sims out there,
35:14shows you his athleticism to be able to stay with the guard
35:17by the great late find.
35:19OKC with nine assists on ten field goals.
35:23Green makes it rain.
35:25I'm telling you, Jared McCain is right there in the phone booth with him.
35:29Do people know where the phone booth is, anyone?
35:31You know what?
35:31He's right there.
35:33Oh, you're making a top pitch.
35:34That's his NBA moment.
35:37First field goal of his career after all he's been through.
35:42And how about those two all-world players standing up to celebrate that moment?
35:45Milwaukee 40, OKC 34, and that's an offensive foul.
35:53Three fouls now on Jericho Sims.
35:57Toe-pitch mid-range player.
36:01That's what he did for Mega Basket and for Red Star before getting drafted.
36:07Signs of his mid-range game.
36:09And no surprise, his first puck gets a mid-range, and then he got an assist.
36:12Yes.
36:13How awesome.
36:14He was dynamic in Summer League in Vegas, and so much anticipation, and then of course
36:22going through the cancer battle, just some things are bigger than basketball, but great
36:26to see him out there.
36:27Also coming off the left knee injury, I mean, it's been an incredible comeback story.
36:33This is his entire rookie year, 40-37 after the three-ball from Jalen Williams.
36:48Kuzma over to Nance.
36:50Nance firing, can't hit.
36:51Caruso the ball.
36:57Wiggins.
36:59Out to Caruso.
37:01Caruso bottoms.
37:03Time out Milwaukee.
37:05It's an 8-0 OKC run.
37:11Kyle Kuzma with the gamble, and Caruso says, you better guard me here tonight.
37:19Three more for Alex Caruso.
37:26Well, from the wing, let's take a look at Michael.
37:29I said, Michael, I knew I would do it tonight.
37:31Kevin Porter Jr., and his decision-making.
37:33Look, any time there's room that he can get to, it's going to give him the ability to
37:37make better decisions.
37:38You see the lane completely clear on the crossover as he gets past Dort, and this time, look,
37:43too much traffic.
37:44Get off the ball.
37:46Find your shooters.
37:46Coach Bobby Porter Jr., knocks it down.
37:49I'm going to take my lashings for doing the Michael Porter Jr.
37:52I knew I would do it.
37:53I told you I was going to do it, Grady.
37:55I'm sorry.
37:56That was tonight's From the Wing, presented by Wingstop.
38:02We are tied up at 40.
38:04Michael Grady, Brittberry, Christina Pink here at Paycom Center.
38:07Green tried to dump it off to Kuzma.
38:09It's knocked out of bounds by Wiggins, with six on the clock for the Bucs.
38:14Again, both teams coming off wins last night, Milwaukee over Orlando, OKC over Phoenix.
38:26See the stack, A.J.
38:27Green's going to curl, and then Porter's going to come second there.
38:30James broken off.
38:31No, welcome back to OKC, Usman.
38:36Usman had a big game last night in that win over Orlando.
38:40Kuzma had 17 points off the bench, and that win for the Bucs.
38:47J. Will cut off outside Caruso.
38:51He has the hot hand, can't hit.
38:52Portis with the rebound.
38:54The thing that was impressive about Jang in that game was the five threes.
38:59And foul on the floor on McCain.
39:03Go back to that side out of bounds.
39:04Usually in this stack set, the first guy moving is going to curl
39:07to just make the defense hold and then clear that corner.
39:11And Jang sort of broke it off himself, found the three-point line,
39:14and knocked it down.
39:19First three-pointer of the night for Jang.
39:21He had five three-pointers last night.
39:23Jang again.
39:24At wide left.
39:25Wiggins the board.
39:30OKC, 42-13 on the season.
39:33Top team in the Western Conference.
39:36McCain slithering down the lane for two.
39:41They start to dream about McCain playing alongside SGA.
39:45SGA off the ball.
39:47Maybe some pick-and-roll responsibilities for McCain.
39:50He's capable.
39:51Porter turned it over.
39:56Wiggins now.
39:57Over to McCain.
39:59McCain penetrates.
39:59SGA penetrates, sets up Wiggins, who is out of bounds.
40:03Silo Ford, our crew chief, all over it.
40:09Let's take a look at the upcoming NBA All-Star weekend schedule.
40:12We got the Celebrity Game, the Rising Stars,
40:15and the HBCU Classic coming up tomorrow night.
40:18Saturday, NBA All-Star Saturday, 5 o'clock on NBC and Peacock.
40:22And then it's the 75th NBA All-Star game Sunday on Peacock and NBC.
40:30For more on these games, go to NBA.com or visit the NBA app.
40:34Jang tosses it over to Portis, who drills the triple.
40:38Nice.
40:39Find your second-best shooter.
40:41I put A.J. Green first, just because that's all he does.
40:46That's all he does.
40:47A great finish by Portis.
40:49J. Will can't hit.
40:50Portis the rebound.
40:52Are you impressed, Grady, with how the Bucs have handled the pressure of OKC here?
40:57No question.
40:58They've had their moments.
40:59They've led throughout most of the ballgame.
41:01Portis can't hit.
41:03Milwaukee's largest lead has been eight.
41:05Kuzma missing from point-blank.
41:07Tapped up and secured by Portis.
41:09They get a fresh 14.
41:13Portis finds a cut in Kuzma.
41:16Bucket and the foul.
41:19Great energy from the Bucs bench right now.
41:22And the effort has been sustained from Milwaukee.
41:25They're taking good shots.
41:26They've missed a few open ones, but they're being scrappy right here.
41:30Pick up a second possession on the offensive rebound.
41:32The cut from Kuz and McCain just a little bit late.
41:38Three fouls on McCain.
41:39And going back to your point, even though this isn't your normal cast of characters for OKC, no Shea, no Hardenstein, no J-Dub.
41:47The way that OKC still has been playing on the defensive end, they're still number one in defensive rating with guys in and out of the lineup.
41:55Yeah, I mean, you're talking about Lou Dort, Alex Caruso, and Kaysom Wallace pressuring the likes of Kevin Porter Jr.
42:02and Cam Thomas, and those guys have been very solid so far to manage the pressure.
42:09Milwaukee shooting 53% from the floor and 50% from downtown.
42:14That's why they lead by seven.
42:15Good, good, good, good, good, good zone here by the Bucs.
42:20Williams will fire over Green and does not get the bounce.
42:25Another rebound for Bobby Portis.
42:26Milwaukee looking for their largest lead of the ball game.
42:34Portis handoff to Porter.
42:36Back to Portis.
42:38Mid-range game is pure.
42:40Such good timing.
42:42KPJ coming on the curl.
42:43Did not take an extra dribble.
42:45Did not get into the teeth of the defense.
42:47And managed to get it to Bobby on the mid-range J.
42:51Eight unanswered from Milwaukee.
42:54And that pass was well too high for Jalen Williams.
42:58Four on three.
43:00Kuzma.
43:00Good from downtown.
43:03And Mark Dagnall needs time.
43:07Milwaukee rolling on the road.
43:1011-0 run.
43:12Well, the Bucs getting their offensive rhythm here in the second quarter.
43:15There's the drop for Portis on the mid-range.
43:18And then Kuz in transition.
43:21Bad news for OKC.
43:26Taking his way into the building.
43:29LeBron James.
43:31He'll have a conversation with his podcast partner, Steve Nash, a little bit later on.
43:37Mavericks-Lakers follows us here on Prime.
43:42Toss it up.
43:43And great defensive play.
43:44Kuzma Jeng breaking up the alley-oop attempt.
43:48Zone's doing a nice job.
43:49Grady has shaken up OKC's half-court offense.
43:53Jeng foul.
43:58Jeng, like, the world only gets to see me do these things to Chet Holmgren.
44:02It was only in practice for the last few years.
44:05I'm sure he had some days where he had a little bit of success.
44:07A little bit of success.
44:12And Jeng short on the free throw.
44:18Kyle Kuzma leading the way for Milwaukee with 11 points.
44:21Isiah Joe has 11 for the Thunder as Jeng splits a pair.
44:28Jeng got the start tonight.
44:30He has five points.
44:31And is a team-best plus 15.
44:37Dort.
44:39Can't hit.
44:40He's been searching.
44:42Jeng going to leave the break himself.
44:44Jeng coast to coast.
44:46Jeng with the bucket.
44:48Confident move.
44:49Fluid in the open court.
44:51And Jeng makes the sidestep pass Jalen Williams and gets another two.
44:55It's now 14 unanswered by Milwaukee.
45:01Holmgren over to Williams.
45:03Williams!
45:04Hooping the harm.
45:06And that ends a 14-0 Milwaukee run.
45:13OKC continues to try to find some cracks.
45:17In the zone defense.
45:18And the best place you can go to is in the middle.
45:21To make it collapse.
45:22And Jalen Williams finds some space.
45:23Good find.
45:24Big to big.
45:26And Jalen uses the glass well.
45:31Williams another one of those guys who's mistimed this season for OKC.
45:35Missed 13 games.
45:36Between December and January with right heel Brasadis.
45:41He has seven points in this one.
45:44Pass inside.
45:45And Kuzma got it to go.
45:48Plus the foul.
45:51And Kevin Porter Jr.
45:52A great decision.
45:53Again the Bucs.
45:54The positivity and the vibes right now.
45:57For the Bucs very high.
45:58You see the horns set here.
45:59And Kuzma on the slip.
46:01And being a left-handed player Grady.
46:03I got to tell you when you're moving to the right.
46:05To make that kind of feed.
46:07It allows Kevin to kind of get past the hands of the defense.
46:09To make that pass.
46:15Kuzma.
46:1614 points now.
46:18Great delivery from KPJ.
46:20It's 60 to 44.
46:24Mentioned before.
46:25The Thunder have won the last four meetings with Milwaukee.
46:27Winning by an average of 21 points.
46:30That was an inorthodox feed to Caruso.
46:32Can't hit.
46:33Holmgren is fouled on the interior.
46:35And Holmgren will shoot too.
46:41Again OKC just looking a little bit jumbled here as the Bucs.
46:45That's at least the seventh possession that they played in a row.
46:50In this 2-3 zone that's shifting guys around.
46:54They'll look for late matchups in that Grady.
46:56Around five passes sometimes teams will go into man.
46:59But so far OKC not finding the seams.
47:08Holmgren good on the first.
47:09Coming up on the half.
47:11Presented by AT&T.
47:13Our studio crew will break down the first half.
47:16Getting up shots right now.
47:19Shout out Blake Griffin by the way.
47:21Hall of Fame finalists.
47:23Oh come on now.
47:24Right on cue.
47:25With the left.
47:26Awesome.
47:28And UD's obviously shooting threes right.
47:30Yes.
47:31Yes.
47:31Yes.
47:31Yes.
47:31Yes.
47:33Great set up in the open.
47:36Don't forget that conversation between Steve Nash and LeBron James also coming up at halftime.
47:42Porter.
47:43Three minutes to go here in the first half.
47:49Porter.
47:52Little jab step will fire and hits.
47:58Porter getting jiggy with it.
48:00Yeah.
48:00The little shoulder bounce.
48:01He's got a nice little groove.
48:05Wallace sets up Caruso.
48:08Caruso on the move.
48:09Extra pass.
48:11Wallace.
48:12No good.
48:13Rebound to Kuzma.
48:15O.K.C.
48:18Shooting sub 40% from the floor.
48:22Nice feet inside to Jang.
48:24Jang.
48:25Turn around.
48:25Jang.
48:26Got it to go.
48:26A soft touch as that ball rolled around.
48:31It's a home rim for Rizmani Jang.
48:33He gets the friendly roll.
48:35Here he is with the defensive assignment on Holmgren.
48:40Holmgren from D.
48:42Good.
48:43It's a long two from Holmgren on his former teammate who can't help but smile.
48:48Jang with a smile on his face coming down the floor.
48:52Bucks have made their last seven.
48:55Turnover.
48:55Caruso over to Holmgren.
49:02Holmgren right in the chest of Jang.
49:05Count it and put him on the line.
49:09Holmgren said that's what used to happen in practice.
49:12Yeah.
49:13Jack getting aggressive after the three.
49:15Just a little room in transition.
49:16And he's going to have an opportunity for the old-fashioned three-point play.
49:20Just getting through Usmani Jang.
49:22And on his way to the rim.
49:25And the step back from Chet.
49:28As he's poured in five points for OKC.
49:31But they're still down 14 here in the second quarter.
49:39Next play mentality.
49:41Whether they call something or don't call something.
49:43Next play mentality.
49:45Every time.
49:46Keep sharing.
49:47Keep helping.
49:48You're going to be all right.
49:49That's why we are.
49:50Keep doing it.
49:50Don't let up.
49:51Don't think it's over with.
49:52Don't let up.
49:55How about Darvin Ham getting into his guys.
49:57He was telling us that before the game.
49:59On what mentality you have to have.
50:01When you're facing a team like OKC.
50:03Meet force with force.
50:05Next play mentality.
50:06And then the overarching message I think, Randy, is look.
50:09This is a championship team.
50:11They're not championship individuals we have to worry about over there.
50:14It's the collective.
50:15They've done a great job here in the first half.
50:19Under 90 to go here in this second quarter.
50:23Portis skip pass.
50:25Kuzma too strong.
50:27Caruso the board.
50:31Wallace going right at green.
50:33And that pass good hands by Jang to knock it out of bounds.
50:36I'm surprised after what we saw in the first quarter with Isaiah Joe scoring the way he did.
50:45Knocking down some threes.
50:46When a team goes into the zone, you can find ways to put guys in spots to get them easy shots.
50:51And Isaiah Joe has not been really a part of that offense during the zone possessions.
50:56Doors can't hit the reverse.
50:57Holmgren there for the follow.
50:59Holmgren, first-time All-Star, 12 points here in this first half.
51:09Porter in no rush.
51:13Got a screen from Kuzma.
51:15Tossed out to Jang.
51:16Extra pass.
51:17Green.
51:18Good!
51:21Just unbelievable shooter, A.J. Green, slings another one in for the Bucs.
51:27Four of six.
51:28All of his shots from downtown.
51:30Caruso turns it over.
51:32Jang with the fancy handle.
51:33Now he'll slow things down.
51:35Green.
51:35Ooh, thought about the heat check.
51:39Again, four triples for Green in this first half.
51:43Porter getting physical with Caruso.
51:47Porter stops on a dime.
51:50Fires from three.
51:51Won't go.
51:53Holmgren the board.
51:54Ten seconds for the Thunder to work with.
51:57Holmgren, penetrating.
52:02Holmgren with the hammer.
52:062.4.
52:10Jang will fire from three-quarter court.
52:13It won't go.
52:15Bucs outscore the Thunder.
52:1737-30 in that second quarter.
52:20The defending champs with some work to do in the second half.
52:23Holmgren with the hammer.
52:26Two of his 14 points to lead the way for OKC.
52:31He scored the last 11 points for the defending champs.
52:34But they trail 67-55 after two here in OKC.
52:40The Bucs playing well on the second night of road back-to-back.
52:55They lead the Thunder 67-55.
52:57Welcome on in.
52:57Taylor Rooks, Brett Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Udonis Haslam.
53:00Bucs use a 14-0 run to go up 15 in the first half and held the Thunder to 13 points over the last six and a half minutes.
53:07Things are clicking for Milwaukee.
53:08They're clicking.
53:09I like how they're attacking the famous Thunder defense.
53:13They're creating great shots.
53:15They're getting in the paint.
53:16They're finding the open shooters.
53:17They're shooting 50% from threes.
53:19Eight for 16.
53:21Sorry, 10 for 20.
53:23They created 16 assists, which is a ton.
53:27So they're really getting whatever they wanted.
53:29They can create threes.
53:31They have layups.
53:32They get into the paint.
53:33They get in transition.
53:34They haven't had a lot of live turnovers.
53:36So that's been good for their offense.
53:38So they've been looking pretty good.
53:41Yeah, the Bucs play the most zone defense.
53:42So in a night where you're missing a guy like SGA and you're missing a guy like J-Dub, those guys that can get in the middle of that zone and create for other guys,
53:49you have to make sure that ball gets in the middle of that zone, whether it's a pass or whether it's somebody getting in there with the dribble or the penetration to loosen them up a little bit.
53:56On the other end, I understand it's a second night of a back-to-back OKC, but you guys are known for your defense.
54:01Right now, you've given them the third highest field goal percentage that you've given them all season right now.
54:0458% from the field, 50% from three.
54:06It's not going to work no matter who's in your lineup.
54:09So those are the adjustments I expect them to make in the second half.
54:11Yeah, I mean, we hardly say this about Oklahoma City, but Milwaukee Bucs are just playing with much better energy than they are.
54:17I mean, second chance points, points in the paint, fast break points, more assists, more steals, more blocked shots.
54:23Like, that's a recipe for a win.
54:24And usually, Oklahoma City's doing that.
54:26So I want to see how Oklahoma City responds here in the third quarter.
54:30Yeah, I mean, the Bucs, 67 points in the first half.
54:32Every Buc to see the court scored in that first half.
54:35Must be nice.
54:36Yeah, and BG, you know what?
54:37That's the attack.
54:38Salute.
54:39Salute to Darman Ham.
54:40Yes, sir.
54:42Who's playing well?
54:43Shout out.
54:44Yeah.
54:44All right, time for Court Connection presented by AT&T.
54:48Great moment here in the first half.
54:51Nikola Topic checking in for his NBA debut, got a well-deserved standing ovation,
54:57immediately recording his first career assist, finding J-Will.
55:01Topic and the Thunder are down by 12 against the Bucs.
55:03Great to see you out there.
55:05Welcome back, Topic.
55:06And coming up on the eve of All-Star Weekend, our friend Steve caught up with his mind.
55:10The game co-host LeBron James.
55:12That's next, right after this short break.
55:22Lakers and Mavs are coming up in game two of our doubleheader.
55:25And earlier, Steve caught up with his mind.
55:27The game co-host.
55:28You're going to hear that conversation later on NBA Nightcap.
55:31And make sure you stick around after our doubleheader.
55:35We have a huge edition of NBA Nightcap coming your way.
55:39Lots of special guests, DeAndre Jordan, Fat Joe, Aldis Hodge, and Isaiah Mustafa from the show Cross on Prime Video.
55:46Do not miss it.
55:48All right, right now in the locker room, I assume the Thunder are getting a lot of direction from Dagnall about where they need to go.
55:54So, what is he saying, UD?
55:56I mean, first and foremost, you have to start off with your effort and energy on both sides of the basketball court.
56:00Understanding, yes, this is a back-to-back.
56:02But once you step out on the court, you got to leave it all out there.
56:04They have enough bodies.
56:05They have guys coming in and out.
56:06They're very, very deep as a team.
56:08So, the effort and energy on both ends.
56:10But offensively, don't settle against that zone.
56:12You have to move that ball.
56:13You have to make that defense move.
56:14Isaiah Joe was very impactful early on in the game.
56:17Once Milwaukee went to that zone, we didn't hear from him anymore.
56:19You got to get those guys open.
56:20You got to get those guys involved.
56:21And defensively, once again, be who you are.
56:23Move around, fly around, multiple efforts defensively, finish with rebounds, and get out there and go.
56:28It's amazing even for NBA players, and it's all happened to us, when a team throws a zone, every team, it happens.
56:35You just freeze.
56:36And it's also amazing how you can run an off, like a man-to-man set against a zone, and you can get good shots.
56:42So, it always kind of confused me.
56:44And I always remember Doc Rivers telling us, like, just run something.
56:49Don't do the thing where you come down and hold the ball over your head.
56:51So, I expect Oklahoma City to maybe not run man-to-man offense, but to have a different pace to their game this second half.
56:59And, Dirk, when you look at the Bucs, it's really been such a collective effort from everyone on that team.
57:05Yeah, I love, like I said, how they attack.
