00:00Philly special, Alvarado, Knicks dancing to break with record 49 point win over Sixers.
00:08That is how a championship-like team responds, y'all.
00:12The Knicks responded to the worst letdown loss of the season
00:15with one of the biggest blowout wins in franchise history.
00:19And they did it on the back-to-back.
00:21One, can someone please make it make sense?
00:23I don't understand this team.
00:25And two, it might be a little bit too early, but I'm going to go ahead and say it with
00:28my chest.
00:28The Knicks won the trade deadline.
00:31I told y'all this roster didn't need to give up a bunch of assets for Giannis.
00:35It was fine the way it was constructed.
00:37What it did need, it needed some energy.
00:40It needed some dog.
00:41It needed some of its very own New York City grit.
00:45And Leon Rose and company delivered that when they traded for Jose Alvarado.
00:49This could turn out to be one of the better trades in recent memory.
00:53Yeah, you didn't get a superstar, but you basically gave up nothing to get everything you needed
00:58and it was homegrown.
01:00That little squabble in the first quarter when GTA and Phillies,
01:04Trendon Watford, got into it after Watford was being a little bit too extra with that foul on Mitchell Robinson.
01:10It wasn't a huge brawl.
01:12It wasn't a bench-clearing fight like the Pistons and Hornets Monday night,
01:17but it sparked a 27-9 Knicks run and it completely broke the game open.
01:23And then my man casually hits a career high in threes and steals.
01:27This kid hoops like he has Tim's on.
01:30That is why he is here.
01:32GTA stepped up and did what every Knicks fan has wanted one of his players to do
01:38since Mitch Robb's ankle was hurt a couple of years ago from a cheap shot from Joel B in the
01:44playoffs.
01:45That wasn't just a win heading into the All-Star break.
01:48It was a statement to the East.
