03:17this that we want to ask each other yes lover hater beauty edition kick us off lover hater
03:23i want to talk about celebrity skincare brands lover or hater fenty a lover hater fenty lover
03:31yeah lover because i'm black yeah yeah no i feel like fenty really shook the table when they
03:36introduced like 50 shades off the bat and the products have only gotten better what are your
03:41favorite fenty products um i will say their gloss does everything it does for me it gets i will say
03:46it's a little thicker than i would like sometimes but the look it doesn't matter yeah i'm like it could
03:51be even thicker in fact because every photo hits yeah what about you um love the bronzer oh and i
03:58also love the highlighter you know what i haven't tried that i wanted to get into her is it the oil
04:03blotting oh yes and we're oily girls we don't get too close actually back up back up i actually have
04:09like two in every purse two little packs and give me a little paris filter after this you know what i
04:13mean just in case i am oily in the t-zone and dry on the cheeks yeah but we're gonna age beautifully
04:17yeah because of that yeah it's gonna work out really well for us um okay celebrity skincare
04:23bands i would say j-lo beauty how's that doing for you lover or hater does anyone know
04:29quiet as it's kept well i see a thumbs down in the i see a few thumbs down yeah two hands oh even more
04:36oh okay she's got some ups in the room j-lo don't come out no truly we planned a surprise for you but
04:42i think you might hate her more than ben affleck does um oh sorry no sorry sorry sorry um okay
04:49this is lover hater road the hailey bieber line i i think it's too early to tell for me right now
05:00i'm not i'm a liker i'm a good liker i think that my favorite product so far from the road has from
05:07road has been the uh like lip is it like an oil or balm what would you call it it's a little bit
05:12of both sometimes it gets a little grainy it gets grainy and that's okay fix that no i think we'll
05:18love her through it well they got that buyout i think we should fix the gloss first before we
05:23the tiktok girls are like actually it's intentionally grainy no and that's how you know it's working i'm
05:28like i love the spin zone here that's not that's a lie yeah yeah uh lover or hater for you love i know
05:35i love the pineapple cleanser i love the barrier restore care yeah yeah all of it and i also like
05:41the um the little pocket blushes this is not sponsored i really just do i've bought it all
05:46my own but haley find me after i'm around and i'm available okay lover or hater don't start wars
05:55don't start wars why we can't pit two legends against each other lover or hater of rare beauty
06:00selena gomez if you're familiar yeah have you heard of her she's an up-and-comer there might be a stan war
06:06here today but two things can be true at once i love road and i love rare and i can do both because
06:13i'm a child of divorce yeah yeah we are a pro divorce podcast we should just go ahead and get
06:19sometimes it's like you gotta go name a woman who became less beautiful after a divorce
06:24oh doesn't exist no my mom looks really good i don't know alicia's looking my mom is right there
06:30she looks great after her divorce get up to a twirl we have mom in the house with us today
06:35um okay last lover hater celebrity skincare skin and i want just s-k-k in
06:45so that's i will say earlier i had to say who what i'm not gonna co-sign a kardashian skincare
06:55brand yeah i don't think that's for me i think the price point is on like a little bit too high
07:00as well i haven't even seen a product i will say it's not come up on my for you page i think yeah
07:06got her i'm doing the work yeah what about you i mean you know what i think we should talk about
07:11it's not just there's been an influx of celebrity skincare and celebrity makeup and at first i will
07:17say i had a bit of an aversion to it and i just thought like oh it's another thing to market or
07:21put your name on but a lot of celebrities have really stood 10 toes on their products yeah i love
07:26how much hayley rihanna rihanna excuse me and um selena all use their products yeah same i feel the
07:36same about i haven't tried it yet but the um savannah james new line oh i haven't tried it
07:41either yeah i think she had um like some cosmetic chemists who's work at glossier and i'm very
07:45curious to see what that's like but also i like that she like really talks about it very intentionally
07:49yeah and you can tell that she is very like hands-on and not just like i'm putting my name on this
07:54thing yeah which might apply to jlo who knows which probably doesn't apply to jlo again not sponsored
07:59by j clearly not sponsored by jlo she's like jlo's dm-ing our producers right now with a bone to pick
08:05i want to switch gears a little bit and talk about nails asking a lesbian about yeah let's do it
08:12okay are you well i guess you don't go to nail jail i don't go to nail jail anymore you don't go and
08:17give up your life to a woman for about two hours and hope that she gets you right i i did once when
08:23i was um straight in college oh totally yeah i was a prisoner i remember heterosexuality and nails but
08:30now i'm a little bit more liberated but i've seen girls with like the elaborate designs yeah like
08:36jewels even like little like um charm oh when they're like hang off i love that i love it i could
08:41could never be me i'm a fan could never be me i know i have one life to live on this earth
08:46and i cannot spend 40 of it in the nail salon well lover hater of press-ons
08:52no and it's a hater because whenever i think of press-ons i think of that one scene in dream girls
08:58when um they were looking for a typist and this woman's like oh i want to do it and then i think
09:04it was like maybe eddie murphy was like well you have those nails and she says oh they can come off
09:07real quick and takes them off one by one iconic cinema yeah i tried press-ons when i was in way too
09:14early i think in middle school and i couldn't open the fridge and i said this life is not for me
09:18i'm a tourist i'm gonna eat yeah this is not my life but i am a big fan of the ease of it all
09:24yeah yeah yeah yeah okay wait i want to switch gears to hair let's actually start with lover hater
09:32of celebrity hair care brands um and do you have any faves that you're loving right now oh sacred
09:38sacred is as good as everyone says um and it also smells really good and i'm very sensitive to smells
09:43and i love sacred i just got my order of the um edge drops yes i feel like one of god's chosen ones
09:51because i like hit add to cart at exactly the right moment and stars aligned yeah no they've sold it
09:56like four times already oh well i'm gonna be robbing you later let me know when it let me know when it
10:01arrives at your doorstep no i sneak on up no um lover or hater knotless braids imagine we're like hate
10:09knotless braids pens to the audience clearly no love love knotless braids but i'm not i like me a
10:16silk press and sometimes i'm i'm i will get a silk press in the summer i'm i'm lawless like that
10:23you have those 3b curls i i do got some loose curls i'll come clean you can make it work you can make
10:27it work but i love myself a little bob so they call me bob i love to be asked a question with a
10:33silk press and go huh they're not even that far behind me they're right here you know
10:37but in this humidity i could not do it no no no no this humidity is teaching me lessons
10:43biblical lesson yeah yes yes yes we should say we are we live in new york so there is humidity there
10:48but i'm from la it's a different type of humidity it's a it hits different here it's like humidity
10:53light no this is this is something special um i want to talk about a big trend now has been like
11:00this new transparency like kylie jenner talking about her boob job yes chris jenner um talking about
11:06her facelift which in 10 out of 10 no it looks good 10 out of 10 she worked it she ate that
11:13lover or hater of these of this type of openness of this transparency i'm a big lover of any kind of
11:21um body modification transparency i think like the conversation is not to say it's good or bad the
11:27conversation is to just talk about it more in general i feel like this shift away from
11:32another jenner to say oh these are just my lips like you guys just weren't paying attention well
11:38so that's not true yeah that's called a lie and i do think the more we talk about it and the more it
11:43reaches younger audiences maybe it helps people make more informed decisions about what they may
11:48want to do with their body or not yeah yeah and what's like a realistic goal to have about
11:52your face and your body yeah what about you lover hater um i guess i'm a lover it does remind me of that
11:59time um was it chloe had posted a photo so edited on facetune that literally like the government was
12:07like wait you need to like add a tag to this because this is not how people really look in real life
12:12to be clear do you know what i love i love when facetune the account will quote tweet someone being
12:17like oh love what you did here with us babe like they're a little nasty they're getting the girls
12:22together keyboard warriors they stay in a comment section shout out to that social media team
12:27working overtime yes but there is something about listen i'm not calling you out i'm calling you in
12:35call me in because you love to gatekeep i love to gatekeep surprise that you are so into this
12:40transparency all of a sudden oh those are different things do you have a product you love that you're
12:45just like this is mine and if it ever sells out like it's all on you i don't want that feeling i want to
12:52be able to add to cart whenever i want no i aggressively i think every time a woman asks you
12:56where you got something who did your service and you say the real answer an angel gains her wings
13:02i'm the real lover of the pod it sounds like oh don't you do that to me yeah yeah don't you turn
13:08them tables put the table back put it down what is a product though that you like desert island
13:15would die for what are you bringing with you um my is clinical active serum gets me right during any
13:23breakout any little acne popping up love that um what else i think oh i have this um manuka honey
13:30mask oh um activist yes by activist it is so good a little it's like truly a little bit little dab will
13:37do you um i put it over my whole face it is the moist most moisturizing product i have i will say
13:43influenced i love yeah i use it as like a spot treatment oh yeah yeah it's confusing though because
13:49it was so big so i thought it was only a spot treatment but it overnight yeah acne gone because
13:54um honey is also it's super moisturizing but also um like it it helps like clear bacteria okay so it will
14:01cleanse your skin you can also use it like on any other like like a cut or a scrape something like
14:05that it helps the skin heal okay very similarly i'm i will say i'm gatekeeping right now i'm sharing
14:10products that you can add to cart but are still really good i'll just be honest okay i really
14:15appreciate like la in you transparency i'm telling you that i'm lying no but i i do love very similar
14:22um the molecule mist spray have you tried that no it's fantastic i'm who is she what does she do um
14:29she'll help with any like scar any breakout um it's like maybe like two ingredients it helps
14:35kill acne um i'll get hormonal breakouts and i'll just i'm a picker i'm coming clean as not being a
14:42full adult it's really hard for me not to pick which is why i sometimes endorse wearing a pimple
14:46patch or two hunter thinks pimple patches are too young she wants to wear a pimple patch so you think
14:51she's 19 let's i might be 19 right totally you're like we're both 30 by the way this whole time
14:57they're thinking that that girl's too young to be up there there's no what is this teen telling me
15:01about skincare that's what everyone was thinking here um but yes i would take that with me and i
15:07don't even know if this counts as a product but i'm taking my lash lady with me she's coming with me
15:12everywhere what am i packing her yeah oh my my lash gets me together my lash lady just left
15:19like next week is her last week and when i say i fell to my knees i said jill my friend don't go
15:28my sister don't go um she's like this is an unhealthy relationship dynamic by the way no no no no we're
15:35we're close we're close i also want to add one um spf oh always sunscreen to a desert island yeah
15:41oh we're on an island yeah we're gonna burn yeah yeah yeah yeah and you burn easily too
15:46oh nope not too much we're in mixed company not too much okay i take it back i take it back
15:54i will say another a big part of our podcast what we love to talk about is pop culture and we really
15:58want to talk about beauty specifically in pop culture and moments i would say that really woke us up
16:05really shook the table yeah in film and tv and are there any moments for you uh made you sit up
16:12straight yes and the first one that came to my mind was um the first creed movie when michael b
16:18jordan was helping tessa thompson take out her braids hey like that's um let's wake that
16:24man that's a feminist like no he was holding a little bit he was holding her down a little bit
16:31not too much though yeah okay what about you miss girl i'm never saying 10 toes behind a man i'm always
16:36like here's eight of my toes in this scene only i don't know um okay scenes for me burned in my
16:44brain you know i think i would say and this is just a lesbian answer okay set it off queen latifah
16:53straight back oh i i alicia keys actually this doesn't even count as a film and tv but i remember
16:58seeing alicia keys's braids calling my mom saying let's get to work i had that woman sat behind me
17:04for hours until i got it just right i had every braid design your mom really is good at braiding my mom
17:09is very good at braiding she's from oakland yeah she had to be and she got she got me together i
17:14was looking i was giving my version of alicia keys um i will pick up the queen latifah that you
17:19just put down pick up my queen latifah her um her hair in last holiday like that like perfect brown
17:26perfect movie a lot of dimension a lot of like a lot of body a lot of bounds i was like oh wow that
17:32did something to me yeah i will also say this is a little bit in the fashion category as well but
17:37there's something so lovely about a natural beat instella getting her groove back oh she got it
17:43back oh she got it she snatched it back she got more than the groove yeah she got a little bit more
17:47than a groove she's walking with a limp um but i do think that there's a lot of understated abuse yeah
17:52yeah you you know she's familiar find me after full key um but i do think that there's a lot of um
18:00soft glam that happens in that movie that correlates really lovely with her the transition of her
18:05clothing yeah and how it just becomes brighter and more colorful and there's a fullness and richness
18:09to her her skin and her beauty that i love there that i think i'm not a full besides right now a full
18:15full beat full glam person but i do love a little natural a little lash a little lip yeah yeah god
18:21forbid a woman want a little lash little lip oh god forbid yeah i'm also thinking nia long nia long
18:27in the best man everything the short i mean any any long with short hair it's like oh wow like i
18:32my forehead's too big i could never pull that off but i love it for my sister i love it for her
18:37that's for you babe yeah yeah yeah i did go down that route um i'm also gonna say speaking of j-lo
18:43do you remember that moment in made in manhattan after she sleeps with ray fines and she's like
18:49all dolled up in her like ball gown and then she like pops off her little bump it
18:53pulling a bump it out in 2025 pulling just the word bump it out sorry sorry no that that was
19:01formative for me made in manhattan yes yes yes i mean i do i have a big appreciation for any beauty
19:06moment that's a big reveal and it's the smallest change oh like a girl taking glasses off it's like
19:11oh you've been a model this whole time that's so crazy that part always hits for me and i do i think
19:17there's a lot of really good glam in um pose i think anything that taps into the drag community
19:24oh yeah you see so much um and i love you know i love seeing beauty that is easily made into
19:31or easily repeatable yeah you can see like the euphoria effect like it's something that you can
19:36easily make into a halloween costume you could do your version of it um and i think pose in general
19:41just had such great high glam moments yeah kind of the opposite of what i was saying about stella
19:46yeah but get you a girl who could do both and i think that there's a lot of really great um moments
19:51there where you see drama yeah oh my god i love the drama of beauty i love the drama of makeup i love
19:56drama in general you know speaking of drama i'm gonna bring up insecure and say well i loved easa's
20:03hair in insecure i love like she always had like really beautiful braids or like puffs or twists or
20:09something and they never just reached for like okay she's here's a wig she's in a bus down something
20:14like that like that was very molly which fit her character so well but i really appreciated that
20:18isa was like according to her character in the mirror like making these like really beautiful
20:23styles happen you know what i think we're seeing more of more bonnet representation in film and tv
20:29a lot of these girls just go into bed with their head on that pillowcase yeah right brother um do you
20:35watch love island they every single night wait even the white girls have bonnets white girls have
20:39bonnets no i it shocked me i said wait what no i was scrolling on tiktok and i was like oh not her
20:46convincing me to add this one to cart i was like i like the way it wraps around and i the bonnets on
20:51love island they stay on it's like a separate type of magic i don't know and we will be talking about
20:57love island later if that is your truth we will get there as well yeah but we have um a little special
21:03guest to bring out with us yes a friend of ours yes his name is sean garrett we could not talk
21:11beauty at uh essence without bringing out someone who lives beauty sean is an esthetician and beauty
21:17creator and he founded sean garrett skin a bespoke facial studio in new york city in 2024 let's welcome
21:24sean come on out sean this is a real new york moment for us dare i say fitted
21:33yeah do a twirl oh get into it yeah don't be shy i'm so shy look at these shoes i'm so shy
21:43i love it i love it i love it well thank you for being here with us thank you for having me
21:49of course um okay i have to ask are you a lover or hater of beauty con today
21:55a lover or hater of beauty con you're a lover oh i love beauty con yes yeah i love beauty con how
22:02many years have you been here um i've been coming since 2022 i think when they relaunched beauty con
22:10i actually hosted it i did like a panel with like sabrina alba and some other black beauty founders
22:15so you're a vet well yes you know your style yes you said i'm not new to this i'm true to this
22:21exactly period i want to ask you what does beauty mean to you right now beauty mean to me means just
22:28doing whatever like the fuck you want like looking how you want dressing how you want wearing the
22:35blush if you want you know like not really like conforming to like gender roles or any kind of like
22:42stifling box like just do what you want whatever makes you feel good
22:46i think there's a big transition that we've seen not just online but irl of um exploration of
22:53men wearing makeup and yeah really being marketed now towards all genders i think well i don't do
22:58that you said that's not me that's not my gag i'm joking even though i love your lip thank you
23:04you're like i take it back have you have you noticed that transition recently and how yeah i think also i
23:10think the internet gives you so much access to people that you kind of can get exposed to more so
23:16men whether they're gay or straight just feel more comfortable doing skincare you know like as a
23:22facialist 90 of my clients are women but now about like 30 are men so i have like a consistent client
23:30base of males coming in to get facials because before they just didn't think it was a thing that
23:34they should do or could do
23:36you're like please men take care of your skin get those nails done toes too honestly the males are
23:43like my favorite clients really i just i i get everything out like men are the best to do
23:50extractions on they have like the most congested nose it's disgusting it's disgusting but it's so
23:57satisfying can you tell us more about what you see in clients that come into your studio or what kind
24:02of skin issues you help people navigate so it's kind of like two things so i mean most of my clients
24:08again are black women so i see a lot of um people who are dealing with hyperpigmentation acne sometimes
24:15it's hormonal induced sometimes they could be getting on the pill off the pill postpartum um it
24:22really like depends like i deal with a lot of clients that have pcos so i'm constantly dealing with
24:26things like um facial hair growth and breakouts and also hyperpigmentation and so i offer like a
24:34lot of different treatments to help mitigate that what growing up what kind of um skincare lessons or
24:42beauty lessons did you learn in your house i grew up in a very beauty conscious family like i grew up
24:48reading essence sister to sister hyper like i grew up watch like watching all the beauty shows and so
24:56i always was obsessed with beauty i was obsessed with whoopie goldberg when i was really young and
25:02so i that was my beauty icon and still is and it's weird because whoopie isn't like a huge makeup person
25:08but i just thought she was so unique and beautiful and i remember i shaved my eyebrows off because i wanted
25:13to look like whoopie at what age i was like in sixth grade and i literally shaved on my mom was like
25:20and you're going to school like that and i loved it your punishment keeping yeah i loved it
25:25that was me when i cut my own bangs my mom was like enjoy that oh my god enjoy that wait i love
25:31it um i read an interview you did with into the gloss and you said something that i really loved and it
25:36was you said because i see so many faces every day i'm able to see the beauty in everyone i really think
25:42that to be an esthetician you have to love people i didn't say that yes you did i'm joking yeah
25:48well i take it back you said not anymore no but i want to know how has working in beauty changed
25:54the way you see the world honestly working in beauty has made me like more empathetic i think
26:00to people with skin issues and just how it can honestly affect your everyday life to be honest
26:07growing up i always had really good skin and i didn't really have like any kind of serious skin
26:13issue until i was like 21 i almost like i hit like a second puberty almost i just got the craziest
26:19like hormonal breakouts and that's what kind of led me on my journey to finding out about the skin
26:25barrier how to treat acne about ingredients and things like that but becoming an esthetician has
26:30really made me understand my job is deeper than just treating skin you really are sometimes in charge
26:37of people's self-esteem and how they show up in the world and so i take like that job very seriously
26:42i give my all to my clients like sometimes if my if i feel like a product is really good for my
26:47client and i know they can't afford it i'll buy it for them i'll literally give them things out of my
26:51studio because it's more than just like a transactional thing for me i don't have to be a
26:57facialist but it's something that really brings me like joy and i know it makes people feel good
27:02and so i feel like it's like my little calling in a way well go ahead and bring me some products
27:07oh we're gonna find each other after this i'm the skincare ayanla honey i'm gonna fix your life
27:12oh i love it another version of your job is also working with beauty brands big brands yeah dior
27:18fenty um what advice would you have for people that want to build brands and relationships uh with
27:24these big brands don't do it no i'm joking um honestly it's hard you know at dior i was the first
27:30black male skincare ambassador and that was like a big job for me and a big heavy job
27:37at fenty skin i launched that brand and i was the only face of the brand so i was the only ambassador
27:43and also being like a black gay male and so it's like two sides to it because corporate you deal with
27:50a certain set of challenges and then also being forward-facing and having people comment on your
27:55appearance and how you look and how you talk i mean i've been called everything under the sun
28:00and so it's like you have to have a a strong sense of self and self-esteem to be able to do that job
28:08but also i think when you're building relationships you should connect with brands that innately feel
28:14to you you know like i always loved fenty i always loved the makeup and so when she was launching a
28:20skincare brand i was excited to be approached to be a global ambassador and i got to help consult on
28:26product i got to help work on marketing campaigns and influencer campaigns and so it was a very
28:32wide spanning job and so it was like even in that job i was doing corporate but i was also still
28:37working as an influencer and so i think you kind of just have to like find your niche find the brands
28:42you connect with and organically talk about them on tiktok instagram and they'll eventually find you
28:49yeah so for a lot of people a hundred dollar serum or like a very expensive facial might be a little
28:56bit out of reach but in your experience what would you recommend people like where should we splurge and
29:01where should we save you should definitely splurge on serums because serums are going to have like
29:06the most active and potent ingredients and delivery system things you can like skimp on it's a lot like
29:14you can find a good moisturizer for twenty dollars a good cleanser for ten dollars i'm a huge proponent
29:21of brands like prequel notorium that's for you yeah we'll say thank you so much yes i know but like
29:31brands like prequel um and notorium at um stores like target and online they have like really good
29:38effective products great ingredients and clean ingredients um for like a really good price point
29:44and then if you have like more advanced issues like hyperpigmentation and acne or fine lines and
29:49wrinkles then you can invest in growth factors peptides copper peptides things like that that have a higher
29:55price point what is your favorite product right now my favorite product my favorite product right now
30:01is pretty expensive it's about four hundred and fifty dollars um it's the eighth day regenerative serum
30:08but my second favorite is like a thirty dollar cleanser from medicaid it's called the surface radiance cleanser
30:17um it has mandelic acid salicylic acid so it gently exfoliates but it hydrates the skin um
30:24yeah i love mandelic acid i love mandelic acid really gets me right if you have black skin
30:31mandelic is like the number one ingredient i always recommend mandelic helps with acne helps with
30:36texture helps to brighten it's like the best ingredient i love that um tell me about your
30:42worst glam emergency oh my god it was recently i was actually interviewing uh makeup artist gucci westman
30:51at um san vincente and it was hot as hell that day i was wearing all cream i looked fat
30:59but i was running around and i was sweating and my eye was watering all day because of my
31:05allergies it's like my concealer kind of like broke up under my eye and so i literally i just put on
31:10sunglasses for the rest of the day but that was the worst thing because you know like once you start
31:14tearing you're it does not stop and so like it just kept going and going and going i literally went
31:19to sephora took all my makeup off put more makeup on it broke up again i was over it
31:26no i'm i'm an allergy girl i i get it once the eye starts watering it's not gonna once my eye start
31:31watering it's done because i get to rubbing it then you get that inner corner
31:35that inner corner yeah that's over yeah you actually influenced me and i should have brought it
31:40what new orleans with me the just a portable fan oh yeah oh my god oh yeah i have a high tech one
31:47you have oh yeah i don't play girl one the minute i start sweating it's time for me to go
31:51yeah i can't no i don't leave the house without it except for when i go to new orleans i guess
31:56absolutely absolutely um tell us about a beauty moment in pop culture that you think changed
32:04everything um probably rihanna's haircut oh yeah like the good gone girl the good girl gone bad era
32:13when re cut it into the bob and then it's kind of got shorter and shorter i think that was a huge
32:19beauty moment especially in pop culture but especially in black pop culture because they let
32:23black girls kind of be more free with their hair like we grew up in like in the 90s um like with
32:29pixie cuts and people like nia long but to see like a young pop star like rihanna have very short
32:35hair it was like inspiring i think for a lot of young girls i've never seen so many bitches with
32:39bobs in my life and it was like the most amazing thing and i also think just her expression with like
32:45hair color different hair textures you know her wearing locks and braids and cornrows and also being
32:51in like couture wearing those things i think it was like a huge moment for black beauty in pop culture
32:56yeah i think that's so true especially when like everyone kind of had the same blonde like kind
33:01of hair and rihanna's saying no i'm gonna go really hard red or really like jet black yeah
33:07a little too hard of red yeah yeah well and you glow through what you go through red yeah
33:13no that that was red yeah capital art yeah but i feel like scissors kind of bringing that back a little
33:20bit yeah i was going red yeah she does go you don't play you don't play with a black girl that
33:24dyes her hair red no you respect her you're serious about her yeah i think k michelle said
33:28you don't want to see me in a red wig because that's when she unhinged and i feel that oh no
33:33it's girls with red hair and girls that like paint on their freckles yeah oh i i don't like that no
33:38you don't that's a trend you don't like no i don't like faux freckles oh okay tell us more of your
33:44your like do not uh your don'ts and let me take notes hold on my don't honestly i don't have
33:52that much my main thing is like i don't like super matte skin even if you have oily skin you need
33:58to add some kind of radiance glow that's like i love a glowy face mist like between steps i like
34:05a little cream highlighter to kind of put the highlighter where you want it i don't like super
34:10matte skin because you kind of look like casket b and if you don't want to look embalmed like it
34:15shouldn't look like phaedra parks buried you with willie walkins like you should look fab and glowy and
34:19radiant so i think if you have super matte skin i don't like a faux freckle they always look faux
34:25um i'd see they always look like you can always lock it yeah i don't like a blocky brow i don't
34:31like a thick eyelash you know and this goes for men too you know i don't like that equal opportunity
34:37for sure yeah i'm sorry i need to hold space for casket beat yeah casket because you know it when
34:42you see it oh my goodness yes a lot of the concealer lip like that whole trend it's like a
34:49casket beat yeah yeah it really looks bad but i love when girls have like their lip combo like i love
34:54like when you have a dedicated lip liner lipstick lip gloss i think black girls like have the best
35:01beauty trends and the other girls kind of steal it from them always but i love when i have when i see
35:06like a black girl that has like a very regimented beauty routine like alandria on love island
35:12she has her bright under eye she has her blush and she has that fucking lip combo always that lip
35:19combo yeah almost stay and clark as well a lip combo will save your life yes also clark your head
35:24you have a lip combo they say hold on exactly and for that lip to stay on and you kissing 30 people a
35:30day that's crazy i do like after alandria makes out with someone she will say oh my lip combo
35:35reaches for the lip my lip combo she said you've always got that thing on her yeah don't worry about
35:39me she's got that mac chestnut yeah you got that maybelline uh super stay honey i love it perfect
35:45transition yes oh we gotta talk about it love love island love love and i've been loving your tweets
35:50about love island oh thank you i want to do a little bit of a rapid fire okay lover or hater
35:55sierra's sunset or sunburn blush love the sunburn blush hate sierra next lock it wake it up okay
36:05wake it up um i want to okay also this is off script but um what do you think of clark's eyebrows
36:13i love i think clark's whole makeup is fab even the brows the brows have lessened though i like the
36:21brow i think if you're a certain girl of a certain demographic in a certain place in the world like
36:27it's just fab you know okay that got more and more specific yeah you know they call her c-a-u you know
36:33clark atlanta you know and it's like a very atlanta diva b like i i kind of love it like she's matte
36:39as fuck and she's in fiji it's like how do you do that drop the link yeah how do you do that and
36:45the discount code yeah that's more than a one-size square speaking of being in fiji though yeah it's hot
36:50those girls are sweating those girls are breaking out lover or hater of pimple patches pimple patches
36:55are kind of like non-effective for me i think if you're someone who picks your skin a pimple patch
37:01is great because it kind of just creates that barrier where you're not picking at a pimple
37:05and it can help reduce inflammation but honestly like doing like a sulfur treatment or a little spa
37:10treatment will help it speed up faster and healing than like a pimple patch i have noticed a lot of the
37:16men on love island are really having breakouts yeah i feel like struggling yeah one one zit had
37:21moved from nick to austin and then back to nick hsv1 i don't know if it's like a pimple though
37:26you know that might be something else not the gasp i heard of yeah i think we need to have the cdc
37:33in fiji honey i don't know if that's a pimple the cdc does not need to be in love island okay well not this
37:40one okay well we ever we had on our list lover or hater of faux freckles but we know how you feel
37:46about that but lover or hater of hudda um be honest this is a safe space we're family here
37:53we all know each other i love what i think huda is misunderstood i think she's misunderstood you know
38:03also because it's like amaya is just as emotional you know she told zach to fuck off you know huda
38:10ain't do much different so i'm like you know let huda lead you know let her have her emotions i think
38:15what she did with jeremiah was a little overboard yeah but i don't know i feel like the girls secretly
38:21don't like huda and i feel like it kind of backfired the last couple of episodes because
38:25shelly was gagged when her ass was uh number nine and number ten oh and wake it up she's like oh me
38:30yeah you thought she was america's favorite yeah you're not comfortable she got a little
38:34comfortable in that lip combo exactly exactly i i really agree and i do think the argument that
38:40huda is not a girl's girl goes to everyone it applies to everyone none of those girls are girls
38:45girls they're not a girl's girl i said alandria you was necking with nick all damn time no not too much
38:50how greedy you take the shortest and the tallest like no maybe in the middle exactly how do you feel
38:58about the men how do you feel about ace um crash bandicoot i don't see it for him he looked like
39:05scooby-doo to me i'm not a fan of like he looked like he looking for a scooby snack i'm not a fan of
39:12ace i love pepe taylor can go dig a ditch and ride off in the sun with cau i love i love tj he was so
39:23non-existent he was so nice tj vance tj i think i love tj because he was perfect for iris
39:32white eating what yeah two two white boring people i love that for them no but see that's how they
39:39slipped through the cracks though you know i said get out of my village i love chris though chris is my
39:43fave chris yeah you know the lebron of the island i love it lebron of the island yeah lebron lebron
39:50would be at work okay well maybe kobe no don't summon kobe in here let him rest okay you got to be
39:57careful with talking about that ace lander we got a leo in the house over here oh and she don't play
40:01about her man he don't play about her man ace runs that house like he's the landlord he's a fraud
40:07him and shelly are frauds to me this is a key this is a scheme that todd set up for the bullshit
40:12because they knew each other they came here with a plan
40:16she was playing the field girl you know you're gonna end up with a she's gonna be america's
40:24favorite and you gagged the last episode and that's why huda and her black king about to win
40:28this whole thing it is really straight the table is collapsing you just you just shook it you broke
40:36it oh my god and also if you're not watching love island you should be you should be i know people
40:43are like what are they talking about yeah yeah yeah um we've got just a few weeks left i know
40:49well okay do you have favorites who would you want to win right now i mean i'm team amaya and
40:55whoever she decides to pick this week okay we've got amaya i love amaya and i think i think ryan
41:01matches her freak and i do think sometimes like sometimes people in your culture just understand
41:07you different and i think that's what we kind of see on this show like people like alandria she's
41:11very fluid so she can be with a white boy she can be with a spanish boy she can be with a black boy
41:16but somebody like amaya well or a woman i mean hello shelly again shelly the fraud so i'm like
41:21you know somebody like amaya she's a very specific cultural person she's from new york
41:27you know and i think brian understands her and i think she needs a man like that
41:31yeah yeah i think zach is a loser his teeth are scary his teeth are terrifying i think he came
41:37straight from a piano honestly i think his face scares children i think he should be dumped from
41:42the island i can't wait to vote that ass off no i said this is love island usa exactly
41:47exactly close the borders they know they're trying to pull a miguel from last year but miguel
41:52was fine no they don't got a miguel anymore they don't make them like miguel anymore
41:55but miguel was special miguel was very special to me well we can do this all day actually
