06:55And there's something about the people and the food.
06:59And I just love walking on the road.
07:00I love, I love spending time with the buildings because I do believe that island people are such a great connection to Africa.
07:14And to have our experience as modern people and to be able to walk and see us like today is a beautiful thing.
07:35So I have a special connection to all islands.
07:39Um, and, and like you, the ocean, you know, the ocean is very human.
07:44The fans and androids all of you have.
07:47And the ocean is just this skin and it is so soft.
07:51That is so true.
07:52I feel like the sand is such a great natural explanation.
07:55You know, you sneak under that.
07:57And so when you are, like, at the beach, you're at the water and Jamaica, um, are you, like, a space girl?

09:02My 10-year-old feels like, well, that's me.
09:05But my point is, is love on yourself first.

09:10And I know we talk about this all the time.
09:13But if you really start there...

09:17I mean, loving yourself means pulling things apart.
09:22And really acknowledging the areas where you need to grow and add leads into self-love.
09:28Which leads into beauty.
09:29Which leads into confidence.
09:31Which leads into grace.
09:33And you can say, success, man, success.
09:35And don't forget God in there while you're keeping on that.
09:39Because He takes care of all the things.

12:20there are very cultures

12:24and so many types
12:25that we are

12:27in front of our history
12:28and our culture
12:29and I just
12:30wanted to know
12:31how your culture
12:32and how you see it
12:38is that
12:38I think for me
12:40representation
12:41is so important
12:41seeing what it will look like
12:44so for me
12:45growing up
12:45seeing me
12:46and being a brown skin
12:47girl
12:47is being so more beautiful
12:48and I think
12:49to me
12:50being a full figure
12:51brown skin girl
12:52is making love
12:52love the full figure
12:54is so important

12:56they are able to see
12:57themselves

13:47of me being
13:47my grandmother
13:51moved here
13:52from Trinidad
13:53in their
13:55forties

13:58she owned
13:59a hair salon
14:00in Brooklyn

14:08my mother
14:11was a painter
