00:14But behind this perception lies a pretty complex and dangerous reality,
00:19one that can put professionals and customers at risk.

00:29Ten minutes into the massage, she pulled my pants down, flipped me over and grabbed me on the private parts.
00:39She said, do you want two sorts of sexual practices?
00:46So I said, no, I just need to stop this now.
00:51She then offered the same thing again.
00:54Then I said, no, I need to go.
00:56She proceeded to then grab me on the nipple, squeeze it hard and then got off laughing.
01:02Months later, the matter remains under investigation and no charges have been laid.
01:07Victoria fully decriminalised sex work in late 2023.
01:11It helped bring the industry out of the shadows to improve safety, transparency and access.
01:16But some still choose to operate in the dark.
01:19The issue here is due to historic criminalisation and ongoing stigma and discrimination that prevents businesses offering sexual services advertising more clearly what our services are.
01:34If you are open about, you know, this is a provider of sexual services, then you're probably going to get lots of vexatious complaints to counsel and then have to deal with that, even though you're operating entirely within the law and within counsel regulation.
01:51We always find that some of the person is asking the tricky question because we have the sticker right on.
01:57This is for the clinic Istanbul and we don't have any of the extra services, but they come in to asking for that.
