JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV Kasus Jeffrey Epstein kembali mengguncang publik setelah Epstein Files dirilis oleh Departemen Kehakiman AS.

00:29Namun hasilnya membuat publik geleng-geleng kepala.
01:23Today, we announce charges against Ghislaine Maxwell for helping Jeffrey Epstein sexually exploit and abuse multiple minor girls from the period of 1994 to 1997.
01:40Maxwell has been taken into custody early this morning in New Hampshire and will be presented this afternoon before a magistrate judge in the District of New Hampshire.
01:51As alleged, starting in 1994 until at least 1997, Maxwell had a personal and professional relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
02:13Maxwell was among Epstein's closest associates and helped him exploit girls who were as young as 14 years old.
02:25Maxwell played a critical role in helping Epstein to identify, befriend, and groom minor victims for abuse.
02:34In some cases, Maxwell participated in the abuse herself.
02:39After developing a rapport with victims, Maxwell then tried to normalize sexual abuse with a minor victim for a process known as grooming.
02:51For example, Maxwell would discuss sexual topics with the victim and undress in front of the victim
02:58or be present for sex acts involving the minor victims and Epstein.
03:36The focus was always, he knew a lot of very rich people and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health.
03:44You know, in retrospect, that was a dead end and I was foolish to spend time with him.
03:49I was one of many people who regret ever knowing him.
03:52I spent time on Jeffrey's, Jeffrey Epstein's island, I didn't, I mean he's a lightweight this guy, he's a terrible, I think he's terrible, I thought he did a terrible job at the Grammys.
04:02I thought the whole Grammys was terrible, I watched part of it, it's not watchable.
04:05But he was a lousy host, I'd say, not as bad as Jimmy Kimmel, but pretty close.
04:11And no, he made a statement about me and Jeffrey Epstein's, I have nothing to do with that, I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein.
04:17And in fact, if you look at the DOJ, they announced, you know, they released three million pages.
04:23It's like this is all they're supposed to be doing.
04:25And frankly, the DOJ, I think, should just say, we have other things to do, because that whole thing has turned out, I mean, other than Bill Clinton and, you know, Bill Gates and lots of people that have, there are a lot of questions about it, but nothing on me.
04:39But it was even sort of better than that, because they found that Jeffrey Epstein and this sleazebag writer named Michael Wolfe were conspiring against Donald Trump to lose the election.
04:49So, Epstein was conspiring with a writer for me to lose the election.
04:57So, right there, you know, that I had nothing to do with this guy.
05:01But, yeah, it's a terrible thing.
05:04The amount of time that's being wasted.
05:06You know, when Epstein was alive, like 10 years ago, nobody cared about it.
05:11But they're only doing it.
05:12But now it's really hitting back on them, because Bill Clinton is such a big part of it.
05:16The Democrats are pushing it.
05:18And the problem is that it's turning out to be the Democrats that were with and conspired with Epstein.
05:25So I think you're probably going to see a little pullback from them.
05:28But think of it.
05:30They were working together to try and help me lose the election.
05:35But this is the Oval Office, so I guess that didn't work out too well.
05:39You talked about Democrats who were in there.
05:41Elon Musk was also in there.
05:42And so was your Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, and correspondents that he had with him.
05:46Did you read those new files that were published by the Department of Justice?
05:49No, I mean, I didn't.
05:50I have a lot of things I'm doing.
05:51You know, a lot of things.
05:53And I don't know.
05:54You mentioned two names.
05:56I'm sure they're fine.
05:57I'm sure they're fine.
05:58Otherwise, it would have been major headlines.
06:00A lot of women who are survivors of Epstein's are unhappy with those redactions that came out.
06:05Some of them, entire witness interviews, are totally blacked out.
06:08Do you think that they should be more transparent?
06:09The fact that they thought they were at least too much.
06:11You know, I heard that.
06:12And you're telling me something else.
06:14No.
06:16I think it's really time for the country to get onto something else, really.
06:19You know, now that nothing came out about me, other than it was a conspiracy against me,
06:25literally, by Epstein and other people.
06:28But I think it's time now for the country to maybe get onto something else.
06:33But what would you say to people who feel like they haven't gotten justice, Mr. President?
06:36Something that people care about.
06:37What did you say?
06:38Go ahead, CNN.
06:38What would you say to the survivors who feel like they haven't gotten justice?
06:41You are the worst reporter.
06:43No wonder CNN has no ratings because of people like you.
06:46You know, she's a young woman.
06:48I don't think I've ever seen you smile.
06:49I've known you for 10 years.
06:51I don't think I've ever seen a smile on your face.
06:53Well, I'm asking you about survivors of Jeffrey.
06:54You know why you're not smiling?
06:56Because you know you're not telling the truth.
06:58And you're a very dishonest organization.
07:01And they should be ashamed of you.
