In Chapter 2 . After a chaotic encounter in the Gold District, Alex can’t shake the feeling that the city is changing. Guards are stricter, the streets are quieter, and new rules appear where none existed before. When a “simple” errand pulls Alex and Pierre back into the district, they quickly discover nothing there is simple anymore.
From her balcony, Grace notices the same shift, while her clever friend Selene begins connecting the dots behind the tightening control. With Percival scouting from above and patrols closing in, Alex’s usual charm and luck are pushed to their limits.
By the end of the episode, it becomes clear: someone is tightening their grip on the city—and the Gold District is only the beginning.
