00:00The timing of the Sarkreek issue and how Pakistan has, you know, tried to ramp up its military infrastructure right after Operation Sindhu,
00:09do you think it is all because of Trump's backing to Pakistan or Pakistan had this in mind earlier?
00:15Well, let me go a little beyond what you have just said.
00:19Pakistan's rising strategic confidence, where does it come from?
00:25A couple of factors which you have to consider.
00:27When you look at the geopolitical angle, a lot of us are only focusing on the Trump factor,
00:33not realizing that there are many other connections also.
00:36Turkey, the support from Turkey, the transactional support which it is getting from Iran today, right?
00:44The pact it has just signed with Saudi Arabia, right?
00:47And of course, the Chinese support is a universal support which continues around the clock, around the year, all the time.
00:54And so, geopolitically, Pakistan seems to be on a diplomatic high at the moment.
00:59And that always contributes to a nation's strategic confidence.
01:02The second aspect is, the internal security situation in Pakistan is not too good.
01:09As you see what is happening in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir at the moment,
01:13a lot of turbulence and the last two years in particular now seems to have come to a head at this time.
01:18And this can turn very, very dangerous for Pakistan.
01:21Khyber Pakhtun Khoa, similarly, the Tariq Taliban problem is very much prevalent.
01:28The Balochistan issue refuses to go away.
01:31So, internally, there is a fair degree of turbulence.
01:34The last part is psychologically.
01:36Pakistan, the Pakistan army seems to be in a self-delusionary kind of a mode
01:42where it has told, it seems to sell to the people, to the government and everything.
01:491965, Pakistan army did not lose the war.
01:526th of September is celebrated as Victory Day, right?
01:56Thereafter, they also claim that 1971, it never lost the war
02:00because Bangladesh was a different story.
02:03It was 1,000 kilometers, 1,000 miles away from the mainland Pakistan
02:06and it was completely isolated militarily.
02:10It had no resources while on the Western Front.
02:12See how well the Pakistan army performed.
02:15Now, these are the kind of stories.
02:17Pakistan is very good at narrative building and storytelling
02:19and this is what it has been doing all along.
02:23It has always convinced the people that Pakistan will not lose tomorrow if they start a war.
02:29The last issue here is, recall Kargil, recall other incidents.
02:35Everywhere, Pakistan has irrationally triggered a conflict,
02:40never knowing where to take it and where to conclude it.
02:43It has always ended up with agonist.
