00:29Victoria Hall was a typical bright, lively teenager.
00:35For reasons only you know, and most people will never start to comprehend,
00:41you snatched her away and you crushed that young life.
00:46Even if this was your only life sentence, given your obvious dangerousness and your age,
00:53it is extraordinarily unlikely you would ever be released.
00:57Given the sentence already imposed for your other dreadful crimes,
01:01it is well nigh certain you will die in prison.
01:05The sentences I impose are, one, for the attempted kidnap of Emily Doherty,
01:11nine years imprisonment concurrent.
01:13Two, for the kidnap of Victoria Hall, 12 years imprisonment concurrent.
01:19Three, for the murder of Victoria Hall, I pass a sentence of life imprisonment
01:24with a minimum term of 40 years.
01:28You can go now.
