With just over a week left before a critical February 13 deadline, U.S. Congress is locked in high-stakes negotiations to fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Funding for vital agencies — including TSA, FEMA, the Coast Guard, and Secret Service — could lapse if Republicans and Democrats fail to reach a bipartisan deal. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt warned of “grave repercussions” for DHS operations and for Americans served by these agencies. The standoff also includes disputes over immigration enforcement policy and reforms, with Democratic leadership pushing for changes to ICE practices that the White House considers nonstarters, further complicating talks.

00:00The president is never going to waver in his commitment to allow immigration enforcement
00:04efforts in this country and to support ICE and Border Patrol and the deportation of illegal
00:10alien criminals.
00:11ICE and Border Patrol and law enforcement and their removal of illegal alien criminals
00:15from our country.
00:16For those who don't know, and all of you should report on it, four Americans were tragically
00:20killed and lost their lives this week yet again.
00:23And this illegal alien from Kyrgyzstan was traveling on an Indiana highway and he failed
00:29to break for a slowed semi truck in front of him.
00:32He swerved into the lane and he crashed into a van carrying 15 passengers and four people
00:37were killed in that crash.
00:39Well the president has two end goals.
00:41One is to obviously keep the government funded and open and that includes the Department of
00:44Homeland Security, which does not just touch upon ICE and Border Patrol, but also FEMA, the
00:50United States Coast Guard, the United States Secret Service.
00:53These are brave public servants who work to protect our homeland.
00:57The president wants these individuals to get paid.
00:59Secondly, when it comes to any discussions about immigration policy, the president is never
01:04going to waver in his commitment to allow immigration enforcement efforts in this country
01:09and to support ICE and Border Patrol and the deportation of illegal alien criminals.
01:14I know Senator Schumer and Leader Jeffrey sent over a very long list of demands, some
01:19of which the administration is willing to discuss.
01:22Lawyers don't seem like they are grounded in any common sense and they are non-starters
01:27for this administration.
01:28But we re not going to negotiate policy from the podium.
01:30I m going to allow the president to do that and any final decisions that are made will be
01:34made ultimately by him.
01:36But rest assured, he is never going to allow law enforcement in the jobs that they do, the
01:41important jobs that they do to be undermined.
01:42And secondly, Caroline, the Department of Homeland Security put out a tweet about a part of an
01:46hour ago alleging that an illegal alien was involved in a major car wreck in Indiana, killing
01:52four people.
01:53And they allege that the suspect in question came in under the CBP-1 app under the Biden
01:57administration and received a commercial driver's license from the state of Pennsylvania.
02:01What is the White House's reaction to a situation like this and what is the White House doing
02:05to crack down on cases like this where illegal aliens are obtaining commercial driver's licenses?
02:10Yes, this is another abhorrent example of the border crisis over the past four years and
02:17it again exemplifies why the administration must continue and will always continue to fully
02:23back and support ICE and Border Patrol and law enforcement in their removal of illegal alien
02:28criminals from our country.
02:29For those who don't know, and all of you should report on it, four Americans were tragically
02:34killed and lost their lives this week yet again from an illegal alien, an individual who was
02:39paroled into the country by the Biden administration using the CBP-1 app, which they created like
02:45it was a magic pass for Disneyland.
02:48That's not how immigration in this country should work.
02:51And this illegal alien from Kyrgyzstan was traveling on an Indiana highway and he failed to
02:56brake for a slowed semi truck in front of him.
02:59He swerved into the lane and he crashed into a van carrying 15 passengers and four people
03:04were killed in that crash.
03:05This is another tragedy that could have been prevented if not for the wide open borders
03:10from the previous administration.
03:12That's why we now have a secure border.
03:14That's why this administration will continue to deport illegal aliens from our country.
03:17Thank you for being here.
