02:17Heartbreaking video of Savannah Guthrie pleading for the return of her kidnapped mother.
02:22We'll have a look at what hidden clues the video may hold in a moment.
02:25But first, officials held a press conference today.
02:28Five days after Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping, there's been no communication with whoever took her.
02:34And still, no proof of life despite her family's request.
02:39She's still missing.
02:42Right now, we believe Nancy is still out there.
02:45Authorities are asking the kidnapper of Savannah Guthrie's mom to make contact following the family's heart-wrenching appeal seen around the world.
02:54We saw last night the family.
02:57You know, they just hurt.
02:59TV networks interrupted regular programming to carry a police press conference live.
03:05A new timeline was presented.
03:06Sunday morning, early morning, at 1.47 a.m., the doorbell camera disconnects.
03:14At 2.12 a.m., software detects a person on a camera.
03:20But there's no video available.
03:21Former NYPD hostage negotiator Wallace Hines says one family member, likely Savannah, will be coached on how to communicate with the kidnapper.
03:31Listen more than ask when you're talking to the kidnappers.
03:35And also, besides that, you've got to show empathy.
03:39And when you show the empathy, it's not feeling sorry.
03:42It's that you're paying attention.
03:44Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer believes a line of communication is already open.
03:50They do not say how to contact us.
03:53So that leads me to believe there's some line of communication that they have between each other.
03:59The FBI is watching for what is going to come next.
04:03Jim Murray is in Tucson.
04:05The local TV news anchor who was emailed one of the ransom notes is speaking out.
04:10She says she's convinced it is genuine and not a hoax.
04:14A lot of it is information that only someone who is holding her for ransom would know.
04:20Some very sensitive information and things that people who weren't there when she was taken captive would know.
04:27And TMZ's Harvey Levin says the ransom note he received included deadlines.
04:32There are deadlines.
04:34I say plural, deadlines in this letter.
04:39And one is looming.
04:40But there are doubts about their validity.
04:42The FBI today announced the arrest of one hoaxer.
04:46We have made one arrest related to an imposter ransom demand.
04:50And a complaint will be presented to a magistrate judge later today.
04:55Savannah's moving appeal came at the same moment her friends and neighbors came together for a candlelight prayer vigil.
05:02Several were Savannah's former colleagues at a local TV station where she got her start
05:06before launching to national fame as the co-anchor of the Today Show.
05:11They watched her tearful plea with us.
05:14She is without any medicine.
05:16She needs it to survive.
05:18You see her heartfelt plea to ask for her mother back.
05:22No questions asked.
05:23Just some proof of life.
05:24Something to say, is she okay?
05:26That's got to break your heart.
05:28It breaks my heart and all of my comrades here were in tears tonight.
05:32It's just awful.
05:34Savannah's friend Sally Shamraup, a former TV news reporter, organized the vigil.
05:39She lives in constant pain.
05:42Oh, it is all about getting Nancy back.
05:46So she will do whatever, she will do whatever it takes.
05:50The kidnapping is really moving the nation.
05:52And today, President Trump ordered more FBI agents to Tucson to help in the hunt.
05:58We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely, he says.
06:02The prayers of our nation are with her and her family.

06:08Uniformed deputies returned to Nancy Guthrie's home, the site of the abduction,
06:13to resume a search that appears to focus on land behind the house.
06:18Another team of eight FBI agents also turned up at the house for a fresh look at the crime scene.
06:25The kidnapping has cast a pall of fear over Tucson.
06:29We don't know what evil is here or surrounding us or where it came from.
06:34I am praying to God that she is alive.
06:36While Savannah's video is full of emotion, it was not off the cuff.
06:41Every word carefully planned by investigators who are hoping to start a conversation with the kidnappers.
06:48So does the video hold hidden messages?
06:51We asked a group of top criminologists to analyze the tape to get their take.

07:00We're learning more today about the heart-wrenching video recorded by Savannah Guthrie and her siblings as they appeal to their mother's kidnappers.

07:13It is hard to watch and know the pain that that family is going through.
07:17The four-minute video is striking a chord across America, especially with Savannah's TV colleagues.
07:23Everyone is looking for you, Mommy, everywhere.
07:26Savannah just got to me where she says, Mommy, to hear a grown woman say, Mommy, we're all looking for you.
07:32Everybody's looking for her.
07:33It's just really hard to see your dear friend in that kind of pain, that unspeakable pain.
07:38It's believed the siblings recorded the video at Savannah Guthrie's sister Ann's house in Tucson.
07:44FBI agents could be seen carrying camera equipment, a tripod, and lights into the house.
07:49Experts we spoke to today say the message was very carefully scripted and filled with words that were deliberately chosen to appeal to Nancy Guthrie's abductors.
07:59Our mom is a kind, faithful, loyal, fiercely loving woman.
08:06Immediately, we noticed that the Savannah that we see in this is not the same Savannah that you see on the television show.
08:14Very demure. Her hair is not done. She doesn't have makeup on.

09:09Her sister saying we are normal people is just reminding those captors.
09:13You may think that Savannah Guthrie is a superstar and a public figure,
09:17and you may be asking for a lot of money because you think that she's just a celebrity,
09:22but we are the children of your captive.
09:26We are normal people. We love her. We miss her and we want her home.
09:29She says the primary purpose of the video was to make it clear we are ready and willing to negotiate.
09:35Savannah said very distinctly, we are ready to talk to you.
09:39She is letting them know that, sorry for the three-day delay,
09:43but if you've been trying to reach us, we hear you and we want to establish a line of communication.

16:55Police are now trying to recover the footage, which raises questions, though, about whether someone knew the house, knew where the cameras were, and knew to smash those cameras.
17:03Lots of them are using their sleuthing skills to point out what many people following every aspect of the case might have missed.
17:10Very unusual for an abduction of someone this age to wait this long to ask for a ransom.
