00:00Hey Naturally Curly World, it is I, April, and Geraldine, and Alexandra, and we're here to
00:05introduce the pound-for-pound challenge to y'all. So this one is going out to all of our product
00:10junkies out there. We know you're out there. We know you've got your little goblin hands just
00:15grabbing and snatching and hoarding, getting doubles of stuff, filling up your house. You're
00:21not even eating. Kids aren't eating because you have to have that pudding. You have to have that
00:25whip. You have to have that jelly. You have to have it, and we get that. How much do you have,
00:30Geraldine? It's one of those numbers that I don't care to talk about, but I'm going to say,
00:37especially if we're talking in terms of poundage, it's probably over 50 pounds. Probably.
00:44Easily over 50. So I actually calculated mine, and then once I calculated it, I kept finding more
00:52products in my closet, in my drawer, in the bags. So I calculated about 60 pounds. So with all that
00:59extra stuff floating around, I would easily say like 85 pounds, y'all. Fair enough. Easily.
01:03You? I calculated... I'm so scared to hear this. I calculated 90 pounds, you guys. Oh my gosh.
01:13I have 90 pounds of product. This does not include, though, this does not include the doubles that I
01:19found of everything once I started getting organized, and this does not include last year's
01:24stuff. It also does not include stuff that I bought for myself outside of Naturally Curly.
01:29So I probably have about 100 pounds of stuff in my house. You guys are going to see it coming up.
01:37I used to be a minimalist, super basic, using those same little two or three products, shampoo,
01:49conditioner, detangler, and calling it a day. Now working Naturally Curly has changed my life,
01:54put me up on so much game, on all these new products. I am obsessed, y'all. And the closet
02:00can speak for itself.
02:02As my hair started growing longer, and I began working here, I realized, hey, there are certain
02:09things that you actually need. What I didn't anticipate was that almost every brand that I
02:15encountered had literally everything that I needed. After my second big chop, right before I was going
02:21into college, I didn't have a whole lot of stuff just because, one, my college job wouldn't really
02:27allow it. Two, I could just steal from my mom. And three, I didn't know, I really had no idea what
02:33I was doing. As my fluff kept growing, though, my desire to keep improving upon it kept growing as
02:41well.
02:41The products that I have the most of at the moment would probably be curl creams.
02:49I have the most conditioners.
02:53I have so many oils. I have oil blends. I have oil mists. I have little droppers of oil. I've
03:02got them in sprays and bottles, in buttery sticks. I just have so many. I could probably figure out
03:10how to power my car with all the oils that I have right now.
03:13I don't organize any of my haircare products because there's too many.
03:19I actually like to be really organized, y'all. So I took it upon myself to create a whole little
03:25collection so all my brands are individually organized and they look really nice and clean
03:32like you're walking into a store.
03:34All right, you guys. So my stuff wasn't organized at all until this challenge. And I started organizing
03:40it by product type. So I've got all my oils here, all my serums here, all my leave-ins here,
03:45all my gels here, all my shampoos here, all my conditioners here, all my masks here. And I think
03:50that's going to make stuff a lot easier.
03:51When I was cooking, I went for the Tony Saturay, but I ended up finding curl cream. And then I realized
03:59maybe this isn't the best place for me to put this.
04:02It was a vial of something by Fido that I was gifted. I found it broken in my office supply drawer.
04:12Product minimalism. I've never thought about it as a topic of discussion, really.
04:22Girl, I used to be a product minimalist. So before you judge me, just understand that it's a process
04:30and you might be like me and you might switch over to my side before you know it. And you
04:34might have a whole Arsenio in your closet too. Okay.
04:37If you think that I'm on a hoarding level, that's cool. I just need to quote my man,
04:42James Franco, and let you know, I know that you hate us because you ain't us.
04:47No shade. Hashtag no shade 2018. If you're out there judging me for my habits, just know this.
04:59All right, Naturally Curly world, we showed you what we have in our closets,
05:03cabinets and everywhere else in our homes. So now it's your turn. Go ahead and give us a follow
05:08on Instagram at Naturally Curly and send us your pictures by tagging
05:14hashtag NC pound for pound. And if you do that, you just might win something.
05:21Might win something like, I don't know, a hundred dollar gift card to the container store.
05:27Whoa. I mean, that's kind of dope. I mean, hey, if you've got a lot of stuff,
05:32you need to store it. We're going to hook you up, but you got to show us what you got first.
