00:00Hey NaturallyCurlyWorld, I dyed my hair purple a few months ago, but I wanted to show you how I refresh my hair color when it starts to fade.
00:09I always start with clean hair that I stretched in twists overnight. No styling products.
00:15Stretching my hair helps me see everything better and ensures that I don't miss any sections.
00:23Yes, you must lighten your hair with Bleach and Developer if you're going from dark hair to purple hair.
00:29But, I'm only retouching my existing color, so I'll just get started.
00:34Vegan has fantasy colors now, so I'm using the Vegan Vivid Shades in Royal Purple.
00:40No peroxide, no ammonia, just this really rich color.
00:45I personally prefer this sort of packaging because I don't have to waste bowls or brushes.
00:50I just pour directly into my hands and apply to each section.
00:55Semi-permanent dye honestly feels like conditioner in my hair, so I do a bit of finger detangling to distribute the product evenly.
01:03When I'm done, twist it up and move on.
01:06As you can see, applying the Vegan Vivid Shades color to my roots did absolutely nothing.
01:12It will only affect the color on my pre-lightened, already purple hair.
01:24Since my hair is so short, this process doesn't really take that long.
01:27When my hair is fully saturated, I clip it on top of my head and chill with a shower cap on for about 30 minutes.
01:33Finally, I rinse with cool water and check out my results.
01:41It made the pinks and purples more deep and definitely restored the dark purple to the tips of my hair.
01:48I repeat this process about every 6 weeks or whenever my hair looks too faded for my preference.
01:57Hope this helps!
01:59Thank you!
02:00Bye!
